Extremely clean location that is well organized. Would have given 5 ☆s but there was a hiccup with my reservation. I was told no 10ft trucks despite the fact that there were 4 sitting on the lot.Ultimately, it worked out - just took a bit longer.Dont even recognize it as the old K-Mart.
They had what I needed at a reasonable price. Good service too!
I rented a pick up truck to pick up my new fridge and bring it home. The person at the counter was very helpful with my reservation when I messed it up a little :) Returning the truck was easy and pretty quickI would definitely rent from this location again.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Rented a truck for a 24 hour move and it was very smooth and stress free. Vanessa was amazing. She was professional, friendly and efficient. She explained everything well and made the rental a breeze. The truck was clean and functioned well. When returning the vehicle, I had the same experience with Peter. The staff was great and the entire rental experience was awesome!
Was fair picking up but was ignored when dropping off. Was told to park and someone would be with me but no one ever came. Ended up taking the trailer off myself and going inside at which point they questioned me as if I was at fault somehow for not flagging them down again and again after I was already told someone would he with me.Not a great way to treat a handicapped customer. They were more than happy to charge me full price and send me on my way. They could have at least asked if I needed an application since I did their job better then they did. Lol
I had an issue which I asked the manager to call me but she never did. I rented online two unit storages and was told I had to buy two locks. But when I opened up my storages, management had complimentarily placed two free locks in my units.So I needlessly paid for two locks.As I went back the same day to get a refund on the two locks I bought, they refused to refund me.Steve, an employee, was very rude and referred me to call the manager because she was not in the store. I called customer service but the manager never called me back.This is a shady scam....beware.

Very nice people, I feel bad for writing this review late cuz they helped me about 4 months ago, they were very nice to me on the phone, I suppose to have had dropped off the truck the night before but I didn’t till mid day next day, and they did not charge me any extra, also very kind and helpful at time of picking products, thank you...
I didnt know it but for local trucks, there are moving blankets and a hand truck in the box. I specifically indicated I didnt need them when ordered online. The local team didnt remove them prior to my taking the truck. If I had done so and broke the integrity deal I would have been charged for the use. I think thats the MOST underhanded thing a business like Uhaul could do. I lost the use of the cubic feet the equipment occupied times 3 because of the number of trips I had to make. When I expressed displeasure with the agent upon return, his answer was, you should have got a bigger truck.Additionally, the truck had 96K miles on it and ran like it hadnt had a tune up ever.Ok U-Haul, right here, right now, if I decide to make use of another rental, Penske here I come.
Attendant were helpful and courteous. However the service was very slow, and they did not seem to be thoroughly trained.
They have been a blessing during a stressful time.
My key was left in the other location on 10th and West of Lancaster, CA and it was sunday the guy who gave me truck from 10th West Location was not picking up my call. Later I went to J street Location and there was Steve guy. He was so good to help me and sent a person on sunday who make keys. That person came and opened truck with key code on my contract and helped me go on time for my flight from LAX. I really appreciate Steve who was super supportive even the truck was not rented from his location.Really Grateful. Thank you so much.
What a disappointment! they display a sign for hiring but waste your time with application process without emailing you if you are qualified or if they even bother to look at your application.

Its a shame zero stars isnt an option. My experience with U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Lancaster has been the single most infuriating customer service interaction I have ever had. The story begins when my U-Box was moved here when there was not enough room in Pasadena, where it was supposed to be stored. When I tried to call up to U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Lancaster and arrange to get my box returned to me, I could never get through to anyone actually in Lancaster; I would inevitably wait on hold for quite some time and then get rerouted to a corporate customer service line. Day after day I was assured that someone would return my call; it didnt happen. Finally, after 9 days of calling every day, I did get through to someone actually in Lancaster and was told that out of county delivery of my box would mean a nearly $500 charge - even though I had never wanted my things to be stored up there in the first place! After TWENTY-FOUR more phone calls over the next three days with various customer service agents, someone gave me the cell phone number of Chad Farren, the president of U Haul of San Fernando, who immediately arranged for it to be delivered to me - free of charge, but thanks to the incompetence of the individuals at U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Lancaster, nearly two weeks after I had needed it delivered.So, I got my things, but the nightmare doesnt end here! U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Lancaster has continued to charge me for a storage space at their facility despite my having retrieved my things a month ago. I called yesterday - after a long wait on hold, was rerouted to the corporate customer service line, per usual - spoke to two agents and their manager, who could find no record of my contract and had no idea why I was still being charged, but said they eventually got through to the manager of U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Lancaster (Vanessa Ruiz, I assume) and sorted it out. I got an email refunding the last charge, and I was assured the account was closed out for good and I wouldnt be charged again and this whole nightmare would be over.No surprise, it was not over!! I woke up this morning to another email saying I was charged again (!!!) for a month of storage, in the same amount that was refunded yesterday! At this point, I wonder whether I should even bother to call for what is probably the 40th time and try to get this refunded, or if I should just eat my losses and cancel my credit card to prevent future charges.TL;DR youre better off just throwing any belongings you would store there straight into a landfill and trying to find them later, because digging through burning trash to recover your things would probably be a more pleasant experience than trying to deal with U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Lancaster. And itll be less expensive.
The help I received both between the corporate office and the location itself worked out to be very reasonable. I had to drive to Burbank to pickup the car hauler so they refunded a substantial amount because of my troubles. Will recommend U-Haul over all other tow/Haul companies.
Only one person working there no manager no 1 to answer real questions absolutely pointless to go that to this place Im a business that wanted to have a trailer for a week at a time repeated contract unfortunately no 1 tip that knows anything about pricing or able to negotiate for weekly rates. And sound a much better price that westside rentals $200 for 7 days for the same trailer. Go westside rentals.
Nothing but kids in here like its their first job. Customer service was poor af! And then they charged me twice and didnt tell me, i had to wait 30 minutes to get a hold of customer service and was transferred 3 times before someone told me to wait a week before I was refunded. This place sucks save your time and money and go somewhere else

Put my stuff into the new U-Haul store the old Kmart on 20th and j Vanessa employee who help me out did a great job got me all set up all the paperwork and my items for a way in a big box like a pod keep up the good work employees
I reserved a trailer online for pick up at a different location. TOTAL price was $872 with insurance. The price in store came out to over $1000 because I was charged for insurance and taxes. why display a total price if it doesnt apply??? This is the absolute last time I ever use this garbage company. If it wasnt the day before my move I would cancel all of this because customers dont matter to uhual only money does.

So like would it kill these people to answer the phone?Seriously they kept my elderly father here for 4 hours because they would NOT let him rent the Truck without a 2nd phone number and couldnt be arsed to answer the dang phone. I called them like 6 times trying to get ahold of someone there.He finally decided to use his insurance companies phone number so he could get the heck out of there.

Lost my hitch...then 1+hr later found it and couldnt install it ....which is why I asked the guy to look at my car FIRST (which he didnt). So had to buy a whole truck.
They noticeably lied about my fuel estimate and charged me for it after I filled it up to a line above what it was
