The staff and selection here are amazing, they really care about walking you through all of steps and helping you get a great pair of glasses! Tracy is amazing!

Everyone in this office rocks! All of the staff are so friendly and helpful. Dr. Matson is great! He definitely cares about all of his patients. My appointment was quick but not at all rushed, and I got help picking out new frames by Tracy! Everyone is also following the Covid regulations and regularly sanitizing surfaces.

Dr. Matson and his team are amazing! This was only my second eye exam, YES IN LIFE, and this was a much better experience than my first. His team was knowable and patient. They helped me understand each expense as well as my insurance coverage. Dr. Matson provided a thorough exam and helped me to better vision! Looking forward to being a repeat customer.

Wow, I cant say enough good things about this location. Dr Matson and the staff are top notch. Very friendly, and helpful. We did run into a snag, but they turned it right around to make it right without me asking or really having and expectation for them to do so. I took my 90 year old mother in for new glasses. A lady named Kasi was helping us, she was very knowledgeable, helpful, professional, kind.While she was helping us a man walked in without a mask, she instantly approached the man and he was giving her a hard time. She stood her ground, gave him a mask before allowing him in the store and I GREATLY appreciated that! The customer was rude to her and that is not acceptable.Because of her I will bring my son in when he visits from college out of State and I will go back when its time for myself to get new glasses.She is an amazing woman, much respect, and thank you! More people should be like you.

My mother and I have been going to Pearle Vision in the Jolly/Cedar plaza for years. The staff is always nice and helpful. They have a large selection of frames that are very fashionable. The staff take time with you to find that perfect look.

Very bad experience... After 2+ months and 3 tries to either get the prescription right or the lens grinding correct, we graciously parted ways. It appeared to me that the equipment at this vision center is outdated, as well as the diagnostics used to solve problems. Could be my (or their) particular problem had something to do with not measuring focal points during the initial visit. This possibility was totally ignored by the staff when I mentioned it during month #2. Hence, I decided to obtain a second opinion.Good news; The second opinion provider delivered my glasses in less than 2 weeks, The prescription and lens grinding was spot on!Bad news; I took a closer look at the prescription provided to me (twice) by Pearle Vision. Right (OD) Axis is 002. Left (OS) Axis is 170. Really? The second opinion provider diagnosed Right 177 and Left 166.Everyone makes mistakes, one of mine was selecting Pearle Vision.

Very fun and friendly staff. I couldn’t believe how fast they were able to get my new glasses ordered and delivered. Great experience all around!

I went to the Cedar location in Lansing. They were super nice when I first walked in until I requested a copy of my prescription because I decided that they were too pricey.My husband went to American Best. He had the same thing done with the same insurance. He paid $56. This included glasses & contact exam and a 3 month contact prescription. I paid $70 at Pearls Vision for the same service he received at AA and. only got a sample contact along with a big attitude from 3 employee.

Dr. Matson has been my optometrist for 15 years, and I find him to be exceptional! He is friendly, personable, thorough and patient, as well as having a good sense of humor. He has a very gentle and easy style, and I never feel rushed through my appointment. The staff is also extremely friendly and helpful, and the manager, Patrick, always spends as much time as I need to help me pick out my frames, and their frame selection is awesome. Hes also very personable and funny, as well as knowledgeable! Its always a fun and positive experience all around, and I highly recommend Dr. Matson and his staff for all your eye care needs. They strive for excellence and satisfaction in patient care. I so appreciate that in todays world where we often feel like a number and not a name.

Don’t have any insurance, so I paid cash for my glasses, seemed a bit pricey compared to other places I been to but decided to go for it. After receiving them they were a great fit and were great quality. 11 months later I managed to sctrached my lenses really bad, and when I called the lady over the phone order me new lenses and installed them a few days later for free. So they do honor there warranty so I would take advantage of it.

I love this place, they are so helpful and thorough. I have gone to Dr. Matson for over 20 years now. I trust him and his team implicitly. Their continued education In new technology for lenses and brand selection are on point. I couldn’t figure out why I was constantly getting headaches and after seeing Dr. Matson, I was able to get a pair of computer glasses that help diffuse the blue light, my headaches went away and my eyes are improving due to the reduced strain. Highly recommend this location.

Dr. Madson is great. I had to get glasses for the first time in many years and he explained why so I could understand. They also have a huge selection of frames and sunglasses.

All this place cares about is money. My first time buying glasses I was pointed to the glass shelf where all the expensive brand name glasses are. I thought this was the only option my insurance pay for. I went ahead and picked out the glass I was okay with and ended up paying close to 400 dollars for it.I then had my yearly eye exam and had told them I wanted contacts. I went in for the eye exam and the fitting (not knowing that the fitting will cost me $50). The place was busy that day so I told them i will call back after checking with my insurance because I know my insurance gives a discount for glasses/contacts, after being told by the lady that my insurance wont cover anything. And when i left that day of my eye exam, the lady told me she will send me a bill for my visit. After 2 months I called back to ask if I can place an order for the contacts over the phone or so I need to come in. The lady was extremely rude to me. She told me i did not pay for my last visit which is $60 dollars. I told her i never received any bills. (I also work for a doctor office so I figured sometimes the visit dont get billed after 3-4 months or they are behind in billing). The way she talks to me like I was trying to dodge the payment. I ended up giving her my card to charge for the payment but then she told me that my insurance wont pay for the contacts. I had already called my insurance twice to verified and was told i get a discount for both contacts and glasses. The lady gave my a quote for the contacts I want for 170 dollars. I went ahead and contact eyemart and was seen by them and got my contacts for only 88 dollars. I will not be going back to this place after the way she talk to me. DR. Madson was nice but I dont like how I was talk to and the way things are handle around here.

I recently brought my Mom to Dr. Matson at Pearle Vision in the Jolly Cedar Plaza. His exam was comprehensive and his treatment of Mom was respectful and engaging. She says she felt like a person not a number.

I have gone to Dr. Madson for years and trust him completely. He is very thorough and personable.

This is the best place to get glasses! They are one of the few places that still does in network with my insurance VSP and they have the biggest best selection of glasses. I went to the mall in Okemos, to the store in Frandor and a couple of other places! I wish I would have come here first and saved the time! Plus the workers are so nice. I had Raelynn help me and she made it so easy. Will for sure be back next year!

The Pearle that I went to before closed down and sent all clients to this jolly plaza one. I figured when I was told this that my scheduled appt, which I made a year ago, would transfer as well. When I started getting email&text reminders of my upcoming appt.(with the new Pearles address on it)I thought that meant they knew about it, so I confirmed. They were closed with holiday hours on Saturday, Jan. 2 when I showed up for my appt. Called them and asked how was I supposed to know when everything sent to me told me you had me scheduled? Was told,you shouldve gotten a number to call. Confirming the emails or texts doesnt do anything for us. You needed to reschedule with our books. I got no Im so sorry for the inconvenience or oh goodness! Let me see what we have open for you! Nope, they basically told me it was my fault and Im screwed. Thanks. None of my money for you

The exam and the Dr were ok. I want to get LASIK. I did not appreciate the Dr TELLING​ me that my only option was Rosenbaum. There are other options out there and did not want to be coerced into only having one option. I cant recommend Pearle.... wont be going back.

They are the very best! If I have had to describe Dr. Matson, and his team in one word it would be CARE! I knew I was in very capable hands when I went in to see Dr. Matson. Some doctors have a special quality and ability to transfer confidence and peace. Dr. Matson exhibits this in spades. You just know that he is a healer. As an added bonus his staff is extremely warm and caring. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you need eye care - GO!

The sales associate Patrick was extremely rude, pretentious and condescending. Second bad experience with him. Will never go back.
