Bad idea to go with Verizon and switch carriers! Don’t even try... if you do they will lock your device so you can’t switch and that way you have to stay with them! They are scammers please go to any carrier but this one unless you want to get scammed!!! This at the wireless Verizon at the mall with Adrian !!!

I have been a,Verizon customer for years. Ive always hated to give up a comfortable phone. I guess that shows my age as Im not interested in the latest tech. Heck, I still use a desk top! But one day something started to get weird, and since I had always been happy dealing with this store (in the mall las cruces). I naturally returned. The young man seemed very nice. He found a phone that was bigger but with old eyes thats ok. Now Ive never wanted anything other then a cell phone. No iPad or tablet. Yep you guessed it I have an old clunky lap top. So he handed me the phone (great he was able to switch things over without losing a single text or pic) and a bag with what I thought were the usual extra charging cable and the usual car charger. Which werent in there. I brought it home set it on the table and starting the struggle that comes with a new phone. The first bill was a shock! But I figured almost $300 must be all the extra stuff, cover, activation, what have you. But the next bill was actually over $30 more. So I went into the account, and there it was, a separate phone number for what? During this time my father was ill he passed away the middle of August. So 1st I went to a local dealer who said she couldnt help me. No surprise there, as this is why I go out of town. So I thought ok, I have no use for this thing. It looks like great big phone. I didnt even take it out of the box. I tried to deactivate the service fees for it but discovered I couldnt. So I go into live chat I asked for help. Ok, I know its my fault for not looking, but, when I saw gosh I hate new phones, and I can barely afford the bill now, this fellow would have been a little smarter. Now, like someone buffaloed on a used car lot I feel that Ive been taken by a company Ive trusted since 2003. You can bet once these TWO items are paid for it will not be a repeat customer. With so many less expensive companies, offering the same service...... I guess its time to finally switch companies. My advice ask a million questions, check your bag before you leave, and dont for any reason trust the store in the mall. What a shame.
Although the customer service is great here some of the people arent very attentive about their partner companiesor rebate center for promotions.We bought a total of 3 phones, a car charger, OtterBox case, and screen protector. I was told the bundle of the 3 things was $99 I ended up being charged $169. The OtterBox has a lifetime guarantee and was told Verizon would be able to help me replace if anything ever happened to it at no cost to me, which did, when I went in to check on a replacement was only after a week of having the case I was told although they didnt have any in stock at the time they had more coming in. I was told this for 2 weeks that they had more coming and both weeks after going in I was told they still havent come yet. Finally one of them told me they arent going to carry them in stock any more but that he could check a store in El Paso and pick it up for me (that would be amazing customer service), but that never happened. I was told they could call OtterBox and I would pay the 6.99 S&H. After waiting another week to hear something back about receiving a case from El Paso or OtterBox I called OtterBox myself and got a brand new case for free and a discount on another one for the trouble I went through.

I put off writing a review about Victra, but I feel that I must let others know about the shady business practices concerning this location. In May, I purchased an iPhone XR along with a tempered glass screen protector and Gear 4 phone case. I knew that there was a 14-day return window, but I was only in town for my daughters graduation from NMSU and would be leaving in a few days. I asked the salesperson (whom I will not mention by name) if I could return the phone at a Verizon store if I decided that I did not like it. He assured me that I would be able to. I have always purchased ZAGG screen protectors in the past and was not sure if I wanted to purchase the Pure Gear tempered glass screen protector that Victra sold. The salesperson assured me that the screen protector they sold had a lifetime warranty and that I could walk into any Verizon store and get a new one should the original screen protector crack, break, etc. I decided to go ahead and purchase the phone, screen protector, and case. The salesperson never emailed me a receipt so that I could see the charges. That evening I had a bad feeling that I had been lied to. I called Verizon and asked if I could return a phone I purchased at Victra to a Verizon retail store; I was told that I could not. Since there are no Victra stores where I live, I was going to have to return the phone the next day. I also searched online for information about the Pure Gear tempered glass screen protector. The information I found was not at all what the salesperson had told me: the screen protector I purchased had a one-year warranty and it was only for manufacturer defects. I went back to the kiosk the next morning to return the phone and case. Only then was I given a copy of my receipt and noticed that Victra had originally charged me $19.99 for the Set Up and Go Plus, a charge that I had never been made aware of. Yes, I was refunded for the set-up fee, but a customer should be told that there is a set-up fee when purchasing a phone. I do not know how this establishment has gotten 5-star reviews. I was blatantly lied to and was not even told about a set-up charge. Since the salespeople are on a commission basis, it must be worth their time to lie to customers in the hopes it doesnt backfire on them. Unfortunately, this time it did.
Do not go to this store. Hidden fees. They charge 25 dollars per device for set up charges at the very end of the transaction. They wont tell you when your purchasing the phones. I had emailed the Rep what the total charges were going to be he told me. Sounded good. Then all of a sudden he had forgotten the set up charge. I never heard of a set up fee. I called Verizon and they said since they are an authorized dealer they can charge whatever they want. However at the real store the one on Lohman wont charge you that. Stay away from retailers. The only legit store is on Lohman. Ugh

These guys have no people skills they are extremely rude and could care less if you leave satisfied or not, I even called on the phone for a simple question before I can finish asking my questions they hung up. I will be switching back to AT&T at least the employees treat you with respect even if the coverage isnt as great.

I usually go to the lohman store but they wont help unless you walk up and say youre buying. Showed up to the mall location and alex was patient and super helpful!
Experience in this store was great! However, this store, Ive found out is not a Verizon Direct store! This means when you call Verizon Custo.er Service to inquire about surprises on your bill, they cannot answer any specifics! You have to go back to the store to address the problems. I was told my bill would be slightly higher the first month. Slightly higher meant $300.00 dollars higher. This is not acceptable on anyones budget, let alone that I am retired on a fixed income.I have been with Verizon since 1999. All good things must come to an end!I feel this mall store practices deceptive advertising and allows their employees to deceive customers into agreements they cannot afford!

Horrible customer service and a total waste of my time.After waiting to speak with someone for over 30 minutes, I was told that they could not comply with what the corporate Verizon rep promised me. Between my phone call to Verizon, travel and wait time at this location, I spent over 2 hours for absolutely nothing.
This has been by far the worst experience Ive ever had with any mobile carrier. Their 14 day money back is a scam they will do whatever it takes in preventing you to return the device the manager broke the camera lens on my phone without me noticing and said they couldnt honor the 14 day guarantee due to the device being damaged. Stay away the manager AJ has no ethics or moral values is willing to damage your phone in order to keep you with Verizon for the commission.

This store took advantage of my mother, by not giving her specifics of what she was getting. They advised her that her phone had no warranty, the deductible would be $150. She was conned into purchasing a new phone, when in fact her existing phone was still under warranty. So in the end, she was getting charged for her broken phone and new one. Stick with a Verizon Corporate Store!

Very bad experience, they dont live up to what they say. They charge fees they dont tell you about. They tell you that they are going to give you a discount but it is only in credit and you have to use it with Verizon (Victra), and they do not give them to you until after 3 months so that you cannot use them for the first bill in which you They charge $ 60 for activation per line and they also charge you a month in advance which the representative did not tell me. And also they are not part of Verizon so when I wanted to make my complaint about the terrible service they told me that they could not do anything. I did not even know where to put my complaint.
