I had a appointment with Dr. Hess for my yearly check up. I was reminded of my upcoming appointment by a text, this is really helpful. The staff in the office was very friendly and was prepared for my visit. Short wait time. The Clinical assistants are well trained and professional. Dr. Hess is the most through Doctor I have every been to. He does answer any question you may have and gives you as much of his time as required. Does not make you feel rushed.. He has been my eye doctor for 10 years. All of his evaluations and recommendations have been accurate. Since my first early visits I have moved to the Draper area. I will make this drive just to see him, I trust him and his evaluations.

First off, the staffs professional and yet equally as friendly.Dr. Mark Hill was excellent! I REALLY liked how he explained things, and especially his demeanor. So, much so, I gave his business card to someone at work because they mentioned needing a new eye doctor, Ophthalmologist. I highly recommended Dr. Hill to them.In fact, another gal in the office also had her cataracts removed by Dr. Hill, and she couldnt stop saying enough wonderful things about him too!

Very professional practice, and conveniently located near major routes in Layton. Staff was extremely proficient, courteous, and informative. Full range of optical services. Easy to visit, easy to recommend. And they handle themselves well in unexpected medical crises as well, jumping to help when patients are in physical distress. Dr. Mark Hill is amazing! He really knows what he’s doing and cares for each one of his patients. I would recommend him to anybody that needs any type of eye care! I had a short notice appointment and they fit me right in! Some places might make you feel like they’re doing you something special, but they were very polite and accommodating to my situation!

Today was my second visit. The first time I was waiting for over an hour just to see the doctor. It took over 2 hours for an annual routine eye exam. They indicated that was very unusual and was due to a medical emergency. Completely understandable. This mornings appointment was scheduled for 10am. I checked in at 9:55 and paid the co-pay. At 10:20 I approached the front desk and asked how long they were backed up? The receptionist said she would check and let me know. At 10:30 they still has said nothing and I gave up and left. Once is understandable but after the second time this is clearly more of a normal business practice. I had to take time off work and my son out of school and this is completely unacceptable. Will not be going back.

Dr. Mark Hill at Eyesight Specialists in Layton recently performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. I literally feel like a miracle has happened since Dr Hill did my surgery. I CAN SEE!!!! After years of always looking for my gasses to see anything at close distance...even going home from the grocery store to get my forgotten glasses so I could read the labels....I really do not need my glasses at all!!! I was naturally nervous about having surgery on my eyes. Dr. Hills professional and kind treatment was so much appreciated throughout the process. He obviously is very proficient as an eye surgeon. I feel so grateful to have had a doctor such as he is to make the miracle of sight happen in my life!!!! Having this surgery done so beautifully by someone I trust has changed my life. My sight is so very dear to me. I will never take it for granted again after being given this amazing gift of sight. I have total confidence in Dr. Hill and his ability to take care of my eyes now and in the future. I will continue to be so very grateful!!!!!!

Dr. Hill has treated my cataracts over this past year with great skills and knowledge. I’m very happy with that level of care. My personal vision test over this year has been realizing how far away from our families’ headstones are headstones that I can now read, where last year I couldn’t. It’s amazing! I’m grateful to him and his staff! They are all great!

I had one visit with Dr. Wallin this week and I have to say that it sucked. Normally I don’t give bad reviews but I’m so upset with that visit so I feel this review is necessary.Dr. Wallin used the same Q-tip to inspect both of my eyes. One of my eyes is currently infected and so I believe that was bad practice to use the same Q-tip for both eyes. As of this morning, my eye that previously was not infected is now sharing symptoms that my infected eye has. On top of that, Dr. Wallin wasn’t quite sure what my condition is. So he wants me to try using medicine that may or may not work. Which sounds like another bad practice.. I’m no doctor but I would never use the same Q-tip on both eyes and I also wouldn’t take a drug that may or may not be what I need.

They were nice and really helpful. Been going there for years and theyve always been really good.

I was referred to by a family member for Lasik Surgery with Dr. Hess. From day one everything has gone extremely well. From my first appointment to see if I was a good candidate to my Surgery, all bases were covered, every question I had was answered, the service was amazing from Dr. Hess all the way down to the receptionists. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. Everything was explained extremely fluidly. I was more than comfortable the entire time. Pricing is also very friendly to other competitors. Dr. Hess took great care of me for my LASIK procedure. He was very thorough with my pre-op exam and walked me through the procedure so I knew what to expect. On the day of the procedure he was calm and kind. Following the procedure I had a little more discomfort than is to be expected, I called the clinic and let them know and they got me back in right away and were very kind. Dr. Hess took care of me in a calm, confident manner. I am grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend.

I have been going to Dr Christian Hess at Insight Eye Specialists for many years. I have a very aggressive wire condition that comes in quickly and if not taken care of quickly can cause blindness. All three years here has quickly gotten me in, addressed the eye, did many months of monitoring until it clears. He has come in on weekends and spent hours with me. I cannot think of any other care giver that has been more dedicated and caring.

I love insight eye specialist. They have gone above and beyond to make my eyes healthy again. I had lasik with Dr. Hess two years ago. He made it so smooth and so easy for me. The staff is so great too!

From when I walked in to check in I was greeted in a pleasant manor. Very professional. I had a very minimal wait if any before a Technician called me back to obtain a history and reason why I was in for my oppointment. He did my eye examine right away and explained to me everything he was doing. Which gave me confidence in my concerns. I waited a very short time for the Doctor. He introduced himself and asked what brought me in today to see him. I explained my concerns and he proceeded to examine my eyes and actually explaining his findings to me as he was examining my eyes. When he finished he gave me options with explanations of my needs. Dr. Mark Hill performed my cataract surgery in October/November 2017. He explained the procedure thoroughly, answered all my questions, calmed my fears. Office visits before and after surgery were never hurried. His staff is very professional and knowledgeable. Id recommend Dr. Hill and Insight Eye Specialists completely!

I have been coming here for years, and have always had a good experience. I recently brought my children there. The lady that took us back, Jill, was very helpful. She made the kids comfortable with their exam. Dr. Hess is thorough and will always take his time with you, and will answer any questions you have.

Very friendly staff. The doctor was thorough in explanations and had great manner. Only downfall was I waited 30 min in the exam room to see the doctor once the assistant did all the preliminary stuff.

But was very nervous due to some other physical disabilities that had me nervous....But Dr. HILL reassured me we could do this and well.....He was absolutely correct and today he said the surgeries where very successful and to tell you the truth I couldnt be more HAPPY! He is amazing! As well as his staff! So if you are dreading any procedures dont be because they are like angels sent from above and take very good care of you! Thank you Dr. HILL. I think they are knowledgeable and professional, but every time we go, we wait a long time to see the doctor.

Dr Trevin Wallin is amazing!The only downer about this place is the wait time. I have had appts here and I have waited anywhere between 35 mins to 2.5 hrs just to see the optometrist with no apology of sorry for the wait time.

Dr. Wallin and his staff are professional, experienced and friendly. Dr. Wallin is soft spoken and gentle mannered. I was able to make appointments to see the Dr right away and received text message to remind me about upcoming appointments. CareCredit was offered for out of pocket expenses over $200 with 12 month no interest. Eye problems are frightening, I felt taken care of here.

Went to them several years ago when we were new to the area, were told our insurance covered their office. Turns out it didnt and they never mention it to us while there. We only did eye exams and ended up having to pay thousands because of it. They didnt even try and work with us, I would never go there again.

Ive been seeing Doctors Hess, Wallin, and Washburn for over 20 years - they are great! Ive had some unique issues with one of my eyes. Dr. Hess met me outside of work hours to help me with an emergency, where he quickly and correctly diagnosed my problem (which a previous doc had missed) and put me on the path to a quick recovery. They also employ friendly and efficient staff members. Ive never had a bad experience - highly recommended!

Went to three different doctors for a growth on my upper eyelid, one was at a clinic and one was another opthamologist. I spent 600.00 seeing the other doctor who just gave me eye drops all the time and told me I might need a biopsy. Went to Dr. Wallin, and he felt like it was a calcium deposit in my eyelid and after the initial appointment scheduled an in office procedure to cut it out. Anyway the whole thing only cost me 100.00 and it was just a calcium stone and my eye is great now. the funny thing is I put up with that calcium stone scraping my eye for several years, when you find a good doctor they do make your life easier.

Dr. Wallin was ok. Wasnt super impressed though. Last visit the Dr was running an hour behind. No apology offered. The staff at the front counter seemed a little snobbish. Was interested in Lasik but they didnt really give me much info. They didnt seem very interested in selling the Lasik surgery. I went here because my family doctor referred me for an eye issue. I will be looking at other places for Lasik. Also a heads up for others, they do not take vision insurance. So unless you can run it through your medical insurance you will be paying out of pocket.

All three doctors are fantastic! Dr Washburn has done lasik on me, my wife, siblings, and even a few friends. I could not be happier with the results. I would highly recommend any of the doctors here.

The only downside I have is not the Doctors or Dr Wallin. It is the parking. I am handicapped and they have very tight parking. But We leave early and find a spot because He is worth it.

I didnt have an appointment and they got me in fast.

Recently, at both appointments I waited an hour after the technician checked me in. It was only because I alerted someone to my wait that I saw the doctor sooner. Ridiculous.
