We used Kurtis Kitchen to re-face our old, dark cabinets, with some fresh, modern wrap and new doors. Unlike most big-box stores, theres no sub-contracting. We are more than pleased with the outcome. The salespeople were cordial and gave more than enough information to make our decision. One crew came in and removed the old doors, sanded down the cabinets, and prepped. The next day a second crew came in and completed the re-facing. Having new handles, soft-closing hinges, modern shaker-style doors, and beautiful trim work left us more than satisfied. To name a few names, Shawn the installer was meticulous with the trim work, and even me with OCD was happy with all the finished edges, all the doors being spot-on level, and he even sat there with my elderly parents and I showing us how to properly adjust the doors over time. The warranty is phenomenal and covers whatever may happen. Aaron, Kim, Andrea, all in management answered each and every question that I had even if it wouldve been considered dumb, lol. I cannot say enough good things. If you dont believe me, look at the pictures! For a fraction of what new cabinets wouldve cost (plus then youd have to replace granite, line up with backsplash, deal with plumbing, etc.), we have a new and beautiful kitchen that well enjoy for many years to come! Everything they provide gives a high-end look. I send my strongest recommendation for hiring them if you are considering kitchen work!

Unless you want to take them to court dont choose this company for anything. If I could give a one star I would. They lied multiple times, broke material, have the run around, had to chase everyone all the time. 2 day install turned into a 7 month nightmare.

Read the fine print in your order / contract details. I am aware of a horror story. Allegedly, the installation crew damaged wall surfaces while performing a job. Apparently there is no avenue to recoup cost in this situation. (Despite the onsite crew stating they will handle the repairs, management later declined to do so, leveraging contract language). Ask questions specifically to KK&Bs liability if damage were to occur.

I purchased cabinets and counter top from Kurtis for my basement remodeling project. Cabinets were custom ordered and available for pick up in the time stated. After installing the cabinets I provided the dimensions for my counter top, again this was manufactured and ready for me on time and a perfect fit. Jillian was my sales person/designer, she is great to deal with. I am a repeat customer and will continue to be. Great product, great service.

Kurtis Livonia: Sales/Design Consultant for my bathroom remodel was Melissa Rowland - what a pleasure - knowledgeable, competent and straightforward discussing issues and opportunities. No high pressure, listened to what I wanted, figured out what I wanted when even I didn’t know, and was wholly committed to my satisfaction. Melissa’s input was instrumental throughout. (5 stars)Kurtis’ payment schedule is too aggressive to my liking. The scheduling and billing departments communicated well, and their coordination with the sales rep and myself was basically seamless with regard to changes that evolved throughout the project.Let me preface this section by confessing I “played” an engineer in a very precise industry early in my career, so I notice EVERYTHING, and I question if any home construction project could achieve a 5 star from me. There were a couple instances I didn’t agree with the design intent, and I would have approached it differently. There were a couple “precision” issues. There was also a challenge resulting from prior out of square/ plumb conditions they worked diligently to find resolution for. The communication with the project leader was robust. Throughout the project, the construction leader/team was committed toward my satisfaction and delivering and beautiful bathroom - it was evident, and actually sincere.I have to say, I was very surprised throughout the entire process with the communication and how committed each activity was toward my satisfaction and providing a beautiful end result. It never felt like it was about any one of them, the effort they had to put in, or Kurtis. It was actually quite refreshing!

I had a 2nd floor main bathroom remodel that began July 7,2020 and it was finally completed on October 2, 2020. There is so much that went wrong with this project so I will just list the highlights.1) Day one demolition, crew broke pipe & it rained (literally rained) in my kitchen all the way to the basement, ruining my kitchen ceiling & floor. They did replace the floor but its my responsibility to paint my ceiling & fill a drill hole. Their plumbing contractor drilled from the bathroom floor through the kitchen ceiling.2) We had a change order for $3000 for new plumbing from the basement all the way up to the 2nd floor bathroom. It was not done. I did receive a small refund of $1000. What the additional $2000 was for? I never received a valid, itemized explanation which we asked for repeatedly.3)We have a dog & we agreed that we would put him in a room on work days. The schedule showed no work on the weekends, however, a worker came strolling in on a Saturday morning. Not on the schedule, no warning, no text, nothing.4) Delivery of our medicine cabinet was on July 7th, no one inspected it until time to install (August 22) & discovered it was broken. I had to wait until October 2nd for final installation.5) Project manager was at our house 4 times. In this 12 week project, we saw him for a GRAND total of 1 hour.6)One of their workers, after completing a project, asked my husband for payment for work completed that day. Unbelievable!!!All Kurtis Kitchen is concerned about is the money. Through all of this, it was: your payment is due, another payment due, oh the project not going well? too bad, need more payments

It took Kurtis Kitchens almost 2 1/2 months to finish my kitchen. All the money that you are paying them you still have to make sure you get permits. Thats there job to get the permits and they didnt apply for them before they started so my project was on hold in the middle of the project. The designer told us we are responsible for paying for the permits but not going to pull them. We had to come out of more money on buying fast food and paying for a event that was suppose to be held at the house. I like my kitchen but communication was the worst at first. They were suppose to be finish June 26th and didnt finish til August 12th and we still havent finalized everything with the inspector. I called Kurtis Kitchens about that, but guess what they havent call me back all.

Its crazy how in the beginning of August i go in and pay half of my bill for them to order a few thing for my home project which is time sensitive and they where informed of its urgency(I even offered to pay everything in full to speed up the process). 2 weeks of calling them they called me back to inform me that 1 of the items paper work(since its a costume build) needs to be signed before they can confirm the order (place it). WHAT YOU MEAN YOU HAVENT PLACED THE ORDER! Jerisha, then come out with a white lie oh, you know, there was a mix up with the paper work, linda made a mistake and ill punish here and well try to get it for you as soon as we can. Now at that point I was frustrated and ready to cancel everything with them and find someone else to order it for me but when i asked about all the other items that was supposed to have been order she gave me another white lie telling me, no, everything else has been order that day and it should get here around sept.5 know this was two weeks after I made the payment (august.19). I came in on August.31 to talk to here about remodeling and to check up on the order. So the other items where supposed to have arrived around that week and i asked if i can take something from it so I can buy other stuff to match the color, but here co-worker linda happen to walk into the conversation (the Asian girl in the front)and spilled the truth. But your order hasnt went in yet, you need to sign the paperwork then quickly Jerisha to cover up here lie, told me, no, everything has been placed and gave me a instore sample to quickly end the truth. Now on September.17 I called frustrated again because 2 days ago I called and they told me that it hasnt arrived and theyll check with the company and call me back. So like I talked to Jerisha on August.17 i wanted to speak to a maneger to bring up a complaint about how rude linda is and how misinformative she is (always talked with an attitude and never calls me back but Jerisha told me shes the manager the first time I made a complaint about the order not being placed and was told shes going to have a talk with here but seemed like that never happen because it never stopped. Now on September.15 I call and ask to speak to the General manager which is an extremely nice person and understandable, I informed him of everything thats been going on and he assured me that hell look into it and hell ship everything to my door the minute they get their and for free. So as he promised the next day Jerisha called me to confirm that everything has arrived and itll be shipped to us Monday September.19(she called back to inform me she was mistaken and everything except 1 item has arrived, so I asked her if she can contact the manufacturer to give me a better estimate but she told me its too late to do so its 3:30pm. Ok so I called her first thing Monday morning to confirm the shipment and inquire about that item to sadly be told Ill arrive mid October😱. At this point I was beyond furious, spoke to the General manager again and was able to get refunded the whole transaction. And contacted the manufacturer that same second, which where extremely helpful and told me they had it in stock. And where able to recommend an extremely good company that i ordered from on September.19 and today is September.20 7:47pm and the item is in the house already😲with free shipping. And you guys were telling me itll take up until MID-OCTOBER, I WOULDNT RECOMMEND GOING HERE AND IF YOU DO, MAKE SURE TO STAY ON TOP OFF THEM ESPECIALLY IF ITS JERISHA BECAUSE SHE FORGETS EVEN THOUGH SHE LABELS THINGS WITH A POST IT(HOT!) AND LIKE TO BLAME OTHERS FOR HERE MISTAKES LIKE LINDA AND LYAN. WHEN I WENT IN FOR THE REFUND I WAS TOLD THAT THE ORDER WENT IN/PLACED ON SEPTEMBER.6. I CANT BELIEVE A BIG COMPANIES CAN DO THIS. BUT HAVE TO SAY LYAN HAS ONLY WORKED THERE FOR 2 MONTHS AND THINK SHELL BE A BETTER MANAGER THEN JERISHA. SHES DOING AN EXCEPTIONAL JOB(BEYOND GOOD(KNOWS HOW TO TALK TO PEOPLE AND CLAIM DOWN THE SITUATION)) WELL ORGANIZED. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK LYAN.

Worked with companies for plumbing and electrical work that sent out apprentices without supervision. Resulted in flooding in our basement and nothing grounded electrically. They have everything down on a schedule they give you, but once the last day is done, they are done with you whether the work is done or not. Project manager would no longer pick up our calls. Sleazy.. we had two consults with them. They refused to give us a breakdown of what wed be paying for. All we got was a very vague quote with the brand name of the cabinets we wanted and the price. Nothing more. I think its fair to ask for a quote explaining exactly what youre paying for. When we questioned them, they said thats not how it works. Theyre obviously trying to take advantage of people by jacking up prices needlessly. If Im going to pay $15,000 for something, I want to know exactly what Im paying for. Stay away.Edited to respond to the owners response...We provided your salesperson with the plans and design our builder provided us. The plans/design had all measurements. We sat down with this salesperson not once, but made a second appointment with the understanding that we would get an invoice of what wed were paying for. We selected specific cabinets with the specific trim/hardware package. Our builder was to install the cabinets, and as stated, we provided your salesperson with the plans, so there was no need to come to the house for measurements. They were already completed. All we wanted was to order them. Im not asking for everything, as you state, just an invoice of what were paying for. Incidentally, the salesperson stated its against Kurtis policy to correspond via email. Why is that?

We had a phenomenal experience working with Kurtis Kitchen and Bath for our bathroom and kitchen renovation. We started at the Royal Oak showroom with designer, Lauren Cuadrio. She used software to take our ideas and design the new rooms while we watched on a monitor at her desk. It was so cool to see the possibilities take shape, and Lauren readily understood what we wanted. The first room design she drafted for our kitchen made me gasp because it was like she read our minds. Lauren also walked us through the selection process, where we picked all of our new décor, and then handed things off to the project manager, Scott Curd. Scott was like our renovation warrior. He made sure the work was going according to schedule, and that things were being done right, and to our liking. Scott was on site frequently, answering questions, addressing concerns, and generally assuring the work kept on pace to completion. He was our single contact point for everything related to the work in our home, and that made it easy for us to make sure it all went well. Any questions we had, we just called Scott, and he took care of the details. Another factor that made the process easy was the use of the “Buildertrend” app, where we were able to see the complete work schedule for the renovation, as well as approve any changes that came about once the work started. We downloaded the app on our phones and PC, and knew what to expect on each day during the renovation. Kurtis Kitchen and Bath kept to that schedule, and the work was completed when we expected. The contractors who did the actual work were all friendly and polite, and worked as neatly as they could. Both our bathroom and kitchen are just gorgeous! We got exactly what we wanted, and we couldn’t be more pleased. Many thanks to Kurtis Kitchen and Bath for their top notch service and extremely efficient renovation process. From design to demo to reconstruction, the quality, and customer service was superb. Kurtis created a project plan/timeline and kept to it.The project was no small matter. The kitchen and dining room were gutted including flooring. Carpeting was taken up in the living room, major hallway, home office, and 3 closets. With the exception of the master, and guest bedrooms, the entire first floor was involved. 3/4” hardwood flooring was installed throughout. New cabinets, up to the ceiling, were installed. An enormous pantry was created. Two level soft-close rollouts in all lower cabinets, and five soft-close rollouts in the pantry. All doors and drawers were soft-close as well. The kitchen was expanded by 3 feet, giving us more counter space. Extra electrical outlets were created, the ceiling lights were moved to accommodate the expanded space, and converted to LED. New quartz countertops, and a HUGE under mount sink completed the job.Kurtis was really good at coordinating the various subcontractors, and their own employees. The project was not entirely painless, but the few glitches that came up were quickly and successfully resolved. Communication throughout the entire project was excellent. It would appear that I could go on longer. I won’t, but I hope I’ve given you a sense of how well this went, and how thrilled we are with the finished product. Project started on time, we were especially impressed by our project manager Scott, any questions we had were answered promptly, stopped by job to check progress and made sure we were kept informed and satisfied.

We used Kurtis Kitchen and Bath in Livonia to replace a counter top and backsplash in our kitchen. We are extremely pleased with the process from the help of the designer, Christina, to the project manager, Dave, to the craftsmen, Jason and Phil. They were very pleasant and knowledgeable of what we wanted done. We are very satisfied with the work and would definitely use/recommend them again.

I walked into the store on a whim on a Thursday morning. Had an vague idea about the look I wanted for my kitchen, but not much else. The first person I encountered was Dean McQuade and Im so glad that was the case. He was extremely helpful in pointing out my choices for cabinets in stock, since I wanted the cabinets like yesterday. He showed me my options, told me the pros and cons, and was overall a wealth of information. He was patient and full of good ideas. I appreciate someone who understands the value of quality customer service, and treats me as a valued customer. Im super excited about my purchase, and will definitely refer friends and family so that they can have the same extraordinary experience I had.

I worked with Tina from the Livonia office. Tina is the ultimate designer! She instinctively knew what I wanted in a new kitchen. She was a definite joy to work with - knowledgeable, kind and full of ideas. I just went back for a bathroom re-do. Everyone in Livonia from Nicole to Aaron and Tina are great. They stand behind their products and do whatever it takes to make sure the project runs well.

We met with a salesperson that was referred to us by our contractor. This was his first time going through Kurtis Kitchen and unfortunately we never had our phone call returned after our initial meeting with the representative. It seemed that our small kitchen was not enough commission for her, which I find extremely unprofessional. She told us about a promotion that included free granite countertops that would expire in just a few days, saying I need a $2,500 deposit within 2 days. I called the next day to go over our options and I never received a call back so we missed the opportunity to receive the promotion. I do not recommend anyone going through this company.

Tina Blanchard of Kurtis Kitchen Livonia is our salesperson on the 1st of the many projects that we are planning on doing in our home. She immediately knew what would suit our taste and requests and was very well prepared for all our meetings. She is a wonderful designer and an absolute joy to work with - very professional, knowledgeable and knows exactly how to turn our dream kitchen to reality.

I want to give them 5 stars...I really do! We had our kitchen remodeled a couple of years ago through the Allen Rd. location (which has since closed) and they did an amazing job. Lauren and Dave were exceptional in walking us through the entire process from start to finish. All of the gentlemen that performed the work were professional and efficient (especially Dan the Man!). We went back to Kurtis at the Livonia location to inquire about having 2 and a half bathrooms remodeled. The upstairs bath was a remove and replace with new tile, vanity, sink, tub, and toilet. The half bath was also a remove and replace of tile, vanity, sink, and toilet. Our master was a bit more work, and we knew it may be a little more expensive than the other bathrooms. Our consultant met with us and we discussed our ideas and she set up an appointment for us to meet with her 2 weeks later to go over our plan and discuss pricing. When we met with her again to see the floor plan and layout of what our bathroom would look like, she totally missed the mark and was unprepared. She never wrote down what floor or cabinet colors we talked about initially. Nothing we had discussed was actually in the CAD design, including cabinet style, floor color, or the shower modifications we wanted to make. Every time we suggested doing something (building a false inside wall so we could utilize the shower better in a more sensible location and expand overall size of shower, for example) she told us, we dont do that, they cant do that. She also kept referring to some of the angles of the rooms as, stupid angles. That stupid corner. That stupid vanity, and had an overall crass demeanor. She gave us the final price and we were outraged. It was astronomical, especially since there was virtually nothing different than our original bathroom layouts. My husband left a less than favorable review without explanation and I was immediately contacted by Lauren, who now works at the Royal Oak location. She was concerned because she thought the review reflected the work done previously on our kitchen. I explained the situation and she said she would follow up with the owner. I expressed that she was amazing, and that I was very happy that she cared enough to follow up with me. She later contacted me and said she would be able to possibly bring the price of our project down about $7,000-$8,000, but this was still quite outside of our budget and we couldnt work with it. My husband and I were able to find another brick and mortar business that is able to do the job, and has so far planned to exceed our expectations of the work to be completed compared to what Kurtis was willing to do...all within our budget. All of the things that Kurtis said they could not, or would not do are now a reality with our new contractors.

For starters, Ill be in the market shortly to replace all of my kitchen cabinets. At this time, I need to repair some of my bathroom cabinetry first. I walked into the Livonia showroom to inquire about hardware. After walking around for a few minutes to look at the displays and how they had the cabinets installed, a saleswoman walked up to me and asked me if I needed help. I mentioned that I was looking for some hardware to do some repair and she told me that if my cabinets fell apart this easily, that I should look into replacement. Wow. She didn’t even ask of my current situation. I was simply looking to order about $10.00 in hardware. My cabinets were anything but falling apart. Once she knew she I wasn’t looking for a complete remodel, she disappeared. Sorry Kurtis, first impressions are everything. Once I’m ready to remodel my kitchen, I won’t be going to your showroom. All about big sales and nothing else.

This is just based off my first impression, I have not yet decided to go with them or not go with them, they are currently making us a estimate and we are also checking out other places, however when me and my husband first walked in the girl that greeted us came off nice at first, she asked what we were looking for and we told her we were looking for new counter tops for are kitchen, she then gave a great look of annoyance so obvious we could tell she was annoyed and rudly answered by saying she couldnt help us with that and would need to find someone else. I kinda felt like hey if your not looking for a full remodel your not worth my time.

After going to two big box stores for information and quotes a friend referred me to Leslie Dorchen at Kurtis Kitchen and Bath. Immediately I felt like I was working with a person who I could work with one on one, as opposed to whoever is sitting at the desk at the big box store on any particular day. At Kurtis, the cabinet prices were as good and the products were better than the other stores. Additionally, Leslies product knowledge and recommendations were a lot better than what I was getting at the other stores!

Working with the Kurtis Company has been a seven month project. It began July 27, 2017, and ended February 13, 2018. After our first meetings of selecting and a home visit for measuring, we left our project in Kurtis’ hands and were told that our project would begin toward the end of October.Around the middle of October, realizing we hadn’t heard from Kurtis about the exact start date, we called to check on that. To our amazement we were told that our project would begin the first week of January. What? We had already contacted our tile man who would follow after the installation of our cabinets and countertops. He was to begin the middle of November. The whole process was to be done before Christmas for the incoming family arriving for the holidays. Our compromise was that the tear-out of our existing cabinets and counters would begin December 4 (obviously, the tile man would have to wait until after Christmas). December 5 the new cabinets were installed which we were very disappointed in because of the quality and the workmanship. On December 6 the granite was installed. The measurements were that were taken originally were incorrect. Consequently the back splashes would have to be torn out and later reinstalled.December 14-- the mirrors went up and plumbing completed. Final payment expected. Didn’t happen. It wasn’t until February 13 (almost 7 months after we started with Kurtis) that after much discussion, many calls and lots of e-mails that corrections and final payment was made. Unhappily. Our biggest mistake, not returning to the company that had done our other bathrooms two years ago. The quality was superior, target dates were met and workmanship was outstanding. No punch list was needed with them. Considering a 2year inflation rate, the cost wasn’t that much of a differential and we got superior cabinets and quartz countertops instead of granite.Today, we met with a cabinet specialist who is researching how to improve on what we were sold by Kurtis.

Dean McQuade from Kurtis Kitchen & Bath out of the Livonia location did an amazing job as our sales consultant and designer. Dean helped us design our new master bath and was able to cater to all of our needs and numerous questions/concerns. He was organized, well prepared for all of meetings, and very accommodating working around our schedules. Dean also has a very creative eye and was able to create a design for us that accomplished what we were envisioning, but was able to do it in a cost effective way. We would highly recommend anyone interested in a kitchen or bath re-mod to schedule an appt. with Dean! We will definitely contact Dean for any future projects!

Kurtis was a terrible company to work with. It started with not showing up or calling when they were supposed to measure our kitchen. Then the countertop came weeks after they told us. When I called 3 days in a row to find out about when they would come no one had any idea what was happening and they kept taking my number to call and fill me in and I never got a call back. Finally when my husband called twice they found our countertops. When they said they would call to let us know what order we’d get ours delivered, they never called. When they installed, we came home and found they had glued the countertop to our dishwasher. They came and fixed it. Then they glued a drawer to our countertops. Weeks later while we were cooking our countertop moved. They have been a terrible company to work with and I would NEVER suggest this company to anyone.

My wife and I met initially and several times thereafter with designer Lauren Cuadrio. Our goals and budget were recognized in terms of a kitchen remodel and Jackie, my wife, who is an artist, worked seamlessly with Lauren to develop a design with appropriate cabinets, counter-tops, flooring, and back-splash in colors and materials of a contemporary nature. The timeline of 30 days for completion was kept under the careful supervision of Todd Lange, whose long experience in the field of kitchen renovation proved invaluable. Every contractor who came to our condo was polite, amiable, and well qualified. The end result is a handsome, beautiful, functional kitchen that we will enjoy for years to come and no doubt will add to the value of our condo upon resell.Earl Remer in West Bloomfield

Very disappointed with the customer service. Our salesperson was supposed to follow up with us after the first day and never did. I had to seek them out. We were also jacked around on appointments several times. We have small children so it requires a babysitter to attend the appointments so it was very aggravating. Im sure they feel their time is valuable but so is the customers! After they switch my appointment, I was given an evening appointment. I called the day of to confirm because of my experience with them and low and behold im not on the schedule! And the person im supposed to see is out of the office at that time. I expressed how disappointing their customer service was and requested the person i was working with to give me a call when they had a free moment. No call. Talk about a terrible way to treat customers. I will definitely not being using Kurtis Kitchen and bath for anything ever and definitely will not recommend them!

We recently built a new home, and we were fortunate to work with Dean McQuade to design all the cabinetry for it. Through every stage of the process, Dean was professional, responsive and very detail oriented. We are finally moved in, and the kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms function exactly as we wanted. Throughout the process, he listened carefully to everything I envisioned the spaces to look like and the compliments we receive from everyone who sees the home, speak volumes about his talent. We would highly recommend both the staff at Kurtis Kitchens, the cabinetry from Wellborn and Dean as a project leader and designer.

It was my last call that I got an answer I didnt want to hear... that it wasnt ordered until just a week ago when I first inquired. Now I have to wait another 3, perhaps 4 weeks.
