Would not recommend at all, we had to go back 6 times for one pair of sunglasses they still arent what we wanted but gave up hoping they could get it done right, and the price is not close to what they advertise. will definitely be going somewhere else next time.

They were very fast at taking care of me and the discounts are amazing like I have Medicaid so I couldnt get insurance through there but I didnt even have to pay more than $60 for two pairs of glasses and an exam, the staff was really lovely and helpful and completely understanding to my specific needs for glasses preference and they have many wonderful lens options too for great value. I highly recommend coming here is one of the cheapest places between Lubbock Midland and Big spring and lamesa and they are wonderful staff

Rude and unsanitary. I have been a customer here for almost 10 years and will never return after yesterday. I went in for my appointment and the patient coordinator was extremely rude from the start. But what pushed me over the edge was the fact I went in for my eye exam the lens was extremely dirty it was hard to see out of and I could tell it had not been cleaned after the last person. when I asked for it to be cleaned so my eye test would be accurate, the patient coordinator acted like it was such a bother for her and when she left the room she slammed the door so hard that the mirror on the wall shook. If I am paying for an eye exam I want it to be accurate and should not have to put my face somewhere that has not properly been cleaned. It was clear she did not want to be there but that did not give her the right to be rude to me, it was not my fault she failed to clean the equipment.
I would not recommend this place. At first they gave me the wrong prescription and had to reorder my glasses after I had already waited two weeks for them to come in. They had actually arrived four days earlier but I wasnt notified. When I finally got my glasses I couldnt see well with them either. I can see better with my old glasses.
If I could give them 0 I would. Husband needed a temporary pair of contacts just to last him until he received his contacts (which he order somewhere else, cheaper) and because he didn’t buy from them they told him no. I have never heard of anything like that. So unless your business is 100% with these people don’t expect much help.
1 MONTH to make 1 pair of trial contacts!?!? & my exam wasn’t even taken seriously.. so who knows if they’ll even be accurate when I finally get them. Nice👍🏼🤦🏼♂️
Don’t go here by any means there eyeglasses are the worries quality still they sell you with top dollar. There are way better stores than this.
They set a same day appt within 1 hour of me calling, got me right in to see the Dr, I picked my new frames and they had a new set of glasses made for me in 15 minutes. Ive been wearing glasses (and having to shop for them) for 8 years. This was my first time using Stanton optical, and it was a uniquely good experience. I will definitely use them again, and recommend them to others. Also, Savannah was above and beyond helpful in making sure I got prompt service, and fixing my old glasses to be more comfortable too.
We visited Stanton Optical in Lubbock, TX today for eye exam for contacts& glasses....we had the BEST agent named Gilbert assist us today. He was very knowledgeable & answered all my questions. Three months and still no glasses...I have talked to customer service a few times asking for a refund and it was the same response every time...someone from another department will give you a call back...I never received a phone call...I call again today and was told to pick out a new pair free of charge...are you kidding me? Why so I can wait another three or more months for glasses? Customer service over the phone said its because the glasses I picked were out of stock...how because I was holding them in my hand and a lady at the Lubbock store told me they had to be sent out for the lenses to be put it...bottom line...Im out of a couple hundred dollars and a pair of glasses...I will be making a report with the better business bureau...as you see from a review I did a month ago and the owner commented for me to call in to make things right...still a month later and nothing
This store an its employees an the customer service center ate the most unprofessional untruthful bunch Ive ever had to do bussiness with. I went infor an I exam for the special they are running. I never saw or spoke to an optometrist my prescription was wrong I to the person at the desk it was wrong they did nothing. I left with 1 pair of single vision glasses costing total 159.00 couldnt see still cant. I have called customer service 4 times now an been given the run around. When I ask for the persons name Im speaking with Ive been given 2 different names from the same person. I cant get in contact with the store. I need to be able to see an need glasses due to me job. This has now caused me to have a wreck not being able to see out of the glasses they gave me. I have continued to call an they continue to give me every excuse possible not to correct the issue.
I thought that if I have an appointment, I should be able to get in and out quickly. I was wrong. Other patients without appointments got in there and out before I did. I spent 1 hour and 45 minutes in there. I have been to several eye exam places and from start to finish has always been about 30 to 45 minutes. Also I never got fitted with any contacts that I requested. I ended up paying about $90 and no prescription, no contacts and no eyeglasses. I ended up going to another place to get my eye exam and paid for a second eye exam and with a prescription. If you read this review, Ill spare you some grief and save you time and money - Dont go there!
They messed up my prescription and when I went back they didn’t let me see an actually doctor who was on sight and tried saying my prescription was fine after I told them it was blurry. Finally got it “fixed” and yet it’s still wrong. Ive called multiple times for them to fix it and they have yet to fix it.
Love it so much ... Got my lil one ready for school and the specials they have going right now saved me so much money ... I highly recommend them if you are on a budget.. I promise you will get your moneys worth. Trust me on this one.
I had an appointment and waited about 15 minutes after my appointment time. I then saw someone via video conference rather than in person. Very odd since this I was assuming I would be seeing someone in person. They then came up with a Rx that didnt resemble my Rx that had not changed in over 10 years. I took the sample contacts and realized immediately I couldnt see well with them. They insisted I try them for a day or so.Several headaches later I called them and told them this is simply not the right Rx. They said they could have an in person exam with the Dr and made an appointment. I showed up and the doctor was not in the office and they had to reschedule me.I showed up to my rescheduled appointment and after waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time, they informed me the Dr was going to be out today as well.I asked for a refund for my eye exam, didnt get it, and went to somewhere else where in less than one hour at my first appointment I had the correct Rx and no issues.Id stay far away from this place.
I am really pleased with the help I got from Alyssa today. She was friendly and knowledgeable and got me out quickly. I was helped by other staff as well and they were just as pleasant. I will definitely bring my business back to you guys.

I came in with an outside prescription and within minutes Gilbert ordered my contacts and provided a trial pair because I was completely out of lenses! Super impressed by the timely assistance and excellent customer service.
Helped with insurance and self pay to try to come up with the best price possible. Took a little longer than expected for the exam and everything, but may be that way anywhere. The staff was nice and accommodating. Would use again.
These people are the sweetest! They are there to help you make this the best experience ever! I would highly recommend going to get all your eyewear needs! I will return again and again! Decent place to get an eye exam. If youre not using insurance, prices are very competitive for eye and contact exams. Wait times can be long. They gave me a more accurate prescription than other places charging for near double the price.

My children and I have l been coming here for about a year or so and have never had any issues. We receive our exams as well and are always in and out. The staff is very helpful each time we come in and always put a smile on our faces!

DO NOT USE this company!!!!! There promotions are fraud because they say you get this and that free but it’s charged somewhere else on your billing. WORST customer service ever. Rude assistants you cannot get one on one time and no explanation of charges. I had to chase associate down for my change. No updated frames a lot of 80’s styles and their 2 for $69.00 is maybe 20 pair to pick from. Will not ever go back .

I felt like I was in an assembly line and nobody really cared about their job. They shuffled me in to the first room where the girl doing the test was very distant and not paying attention. The second test they left the room before I finished and told me to go to the waiting room when it was finished . The eye exam was done by a video doctor and the assistant came in the room for about 15 seconds two times. The best part was the nice girl that checked me out and the price. I guess you get what you pay for!!
Worse experience ever. Covid so my appointment was doctor on the screen (my appointment was 8/26/2020). There was a delay in changing slides so I kept having to tell her I didn’t see the first slide at all. Whatever we got thru it. I told the screen please don’t prescribe the brand of the month, I just want Acuvue. I’m 45 years old, I been wearing Acuvue at least 15 years. Guess what Air Optix… long story shorter I went thru hoops 3 times to get my Rx to Acuvue was told three times they would fixed it… In the meantime I found an old box thank goodness! So now literally 361 days later 4 transfers today because it’s still Air Optix I’m told “oh I see here where it was changed to Acuvue.”. 2 hours ago they were suppose to email it but I haven’t received it. By the way I asked multiple times when I made the appointment if they took my insurance (Eyemed) and was told yes… well they do not take insurance, they offer “discounts” to get as close to your deductible as possible.

This is the absolute WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I’ve ever seen in my life!!!They’re quick to TAKE YOUR MONEY but that’s it! I live in NM as they’re located in TX and I PAID for shipping and this was in early March, today is May and I just received my glasses. (Tint color is wrong, after months of phone calls) now I get an email stating my contact are ready for pick up, well the problem IS I CLEARLY PAID for my entire order to be shipped not half! I’ve spent countless hours YES HOURS on phone calling them, only to be hung up on after 23-25 min each time. Do yourself a favor STAY AWAY from this place.Mind you I drove from NM to TX just to go to this place soooo NOT worth the hassle.

Able to book an appointment just two days out. Fast, friendly, and very efficient exam, eyewear fitting, and purchase. I don’t have vision insurance and found the exam and contact lenses costs to bevery reasonable and affordable.

Feel very uneasy about my visit. They can have 10 girls working inside with people but the eye doctor cannot come in and do a face to face visit. He kept changing the lenses so fast during my eye exam I dint even know if Ill be able to see thru my glasses. He would ask, which lens is better 1,2 but skipped through them so fast I just kept saying neither. After the exam they sent me to the lobby, no help, no instructions of what to do next. Their ad says same day glasses but then they told me 7-14 days but can take longer. My boyfriend also got an eye exam. Has never worn glasses. Just sent him out to the lobby, didnt tell him how his eye exam went. Just had him wondering what to do next. All their frames I tried on had finger prints and just looked dirty. I felt like I needed to sanitize my face after trying in their dirty glasses. I will never recommend or come to this place again. I felt like it was a total waste of money. Ive never left n eye exam feeling like ima still not be able to see when my new glasses are on my face.... sad dayUpdate : picked up my glasses today. When I put them on, it looks like Im in a fun house. All the walls are slanted, the roads look like Im driving uphill, my clock looks like its melting off the wall. I went to see if I can get a refund and she says she can do a refund for the glasses but not the exam. Hello, news flash your eye exam took me to my own fun house. Your service is the worst I have ever had in my life. Why dont I get all my money back? This is the worst place ever. 100$ down the toilet. This is what Stanton optical does. Takes you to the fun house and tips you off for your hard earned money. Single mother of 3 and I feel robbed. If I could give zero stars and a thumbs down I would do that.

Never go to this store. When you try to call them it sends you to a call center that gives you a number that goes right back to them, and they don’t give you the right information. They tell you I’m going to try and contact the store and it’s the same run around!!! I’ve tried to get my glasses sent directly to me for over 3 weeks!!! Sucks!!! I’m a driver. The only one that helped keep my job as a driver is Anjelica from Lubbock. She’s the only one that seems to try.

So on March 12th 2021 I went in to get my contacts ordered them paid they kept telling me they were still waiting it is June 22nd 2021 I went ahead and decided to go in there and talk to somebody they gave me the runaround for these last few months would not give me a refund in-store said it could take 5 to 6 weeks I paid cash it will take the 46 weeks to get a corporate check from them I asked if they could transfer it the money to a pair of glasses instead I don’t wanna wait any longer they said they could not The person I spoke with with was Natalie she was as helpful as she could be she just worked there not the manager I appreciate it what she tried to do the manager I spoke with was Angela when I asked to get a receipt showing a refund they said they didn’t do that and they also spoke with Carrie another manager well all of a sudden Angela is actually there she explained to me that she could not refund my money and that they couldn’t apply it to a pair of glasses either it has been months now they were not helpful I would suggest not to go here I assume this is the first time at least it wasn’t for me I should’ve learned the first time around but I didn’t I was hoping that they would fix the mistake the second time but this will be the last time I go there I will also go to corporate I do have my receipts to show proof I think this place isTrash go somewhere else hopefully the service will be a lot better somewhere else If I could give zero stars I would and as managers I would have called corporate and explain to them the situation and ask for an override but they didn’t worry about any of that they just wanted me out of the store I was not rude disrespectful or cursed or anything like that I actually have a video also because I record it if I could post that I would it shows my demeanor and there’s it is a horrible place

I attempted to make an appointment for an eye exam and they would not verify if they accepted my insurance. They wanted me to bring my 80 year old mother into the shop before confirming they accepted aetna. When I ask to speak to a manager Jesse absolutely refused and told me my complaint was not valid. This is absolutely absurd. I have never had someone argue with me about something like this before. I just needed to know if they accepted the insurance before I brought her in. I cant believe this is how they run customer service at this location.
I have been to two separate locations in two different states. The people in both locations have not been helpful. This location had me waiting for over an hour after I got the exam because they got too busy up front with walk in customers to get me the contacts. Will not be coming to this company again.
While the doctor was short (im sure very ready to get out of the store after a long day) the rest of the staff was wonderful. I would like to give a super special appreciation/thank you to Bree. She needs the in training dropped off that name tag because she is going to make a fantastic manager. Before helping my partner and I, she had to deal with a very aggressive and difficult customer. She stayed calm, respectful, and reasonable until the problem was resolved. She answered all our questions and was lively with small talk. Seriously made the experience much better.
I went in for a free eye exam and 2 pair of glasses for $99.99. I was told it would b $200. I didnt understand y, when I specifically told him I wanted the $99 dollar deal.i was told the didnt have anymore of the $99 dollar glasses.. I got them because I needed glasses and was told if I didnt get any I would be charged $100 for eye exam. Wont be going back for glasses there. Took my son 2 a competitor and they gave my son 2 pair and and eye exam for $100.

Worst customer service experience ever. First sign was no greeting. False advertisement regarding promotion and youre exam is done with zero care. The whole experience will make you feel like you have PTSD from going here.
The staff is not very personable by any means. It’s rushed and there is absolutely no connection. I feel like the customers are cattle being rushed through. The red head in the back for the appointments is bland and makes you want to leave. Staff better and make the world a better place. It’s already tough. Not very interested in this location. I’d rather pay more money for nicer interactions.

I just wanted to leave a review regarding the bad review by Dalila Im not sure what happened but I’ve been to stanton optical for 5 years and I understand what’s it’s like to be a health care worker so I know that what’s it’s it’s like to be busy and dealing with multiple customers at a time. The way she approached the situation was not appropriate, the staff was super respectful when she was being so rude. The staff handled the situation as best as possible and I believe they do really great work here so if that review had you doubting now you know.
If I could give this place 10 stars I would I have never worn glasses before so I went into Stanton and let me tell you the staff is so friendly the store has such a large selection the exam process was so quick and easy and when it was time for me to find glasses Natalie and Alyssa both helped me choose great frames and the management team was able to help me get a great deal definitely recommend!
I went in to get a prescription for glasses, possibly bifocals. It was a Saturday. I had already filled out the paperwork on line so they KNEW i had cataract surgery in my left eye. I had the card with me that had the lens info for them. When I was called, they rushed me over to the first machine. You know the one with the Hot Air Balloon. Well, they couldnt get a read on my left eye. Gee, wonder why! I tried to give them the lens card from West Texas Eye Associates, but they kept telling me they didnt need it. Another person came over and tried to get a read, couldnt. I asked if HE wanted the lens card... he said No. I was then given a paper with West Texas Eye Associates, and West Texas Retina (they have the wrong number for them. But a very nice lady gave me the correct number)I was then rushed out. I couldnt ask questions, NO BODY CARED. Customer service was at an all time low. Id give them NEGATIVE stars but they dont have that option. I tell everyone not to go there. EVER. They dont care, they dont listen and they dont know what the hell they are doing.
The store is committing fraud, they tell you that you can get two pair of glasses for 59.00 dollars, but that does not include the glass part of it. That price is only the frames. they do not deliver on time and the help is rude.

Saw the advertisement for free exam with purchase of glasses... they were advertising two pair for $59. When I went in they only had about fifteen pair to choose from for the $59 option. My exam ended up costing me $90 because they did not tell me with a contact prescription it does not cover the exam!!!!!! They tried to charge me $320 for exam and glasses! Girl helping me was extremely rude. Ended up just paying for exam and leaving! Do NOT recommend them!!!
Went in to get my elderly dad some glasses since the rep said they accepted medicare. Turns out they didn’t really, no big deal, but it was awkward when the employee said they didn’t take it- he seemed disappointed that they wouldn’t make the sale. He went from eagerly speaking Spanish with him to not caring at all. Come on. I’ve been in sales before, at least pretend to be nice. He proceeded to walk off and not give my dad any more attention. Luckily the blonde manager was attentive and gave my dad a good deal for two. Thanks!
First off I dont have any insurance so I understand I probably pay more. The wait is kind of long but tolerable. The staff are friendly and caring. (The ones that saw me anyway) I couldnt help but notice some tend to stand and talk instead of helping as I witnessed with one man getting tired of waiting. He had been there longer than me but surprisingly I got out first. The staff seems to have their priorities mixed up. The thing that gets me though is the false advertising. I heard people asking staff about the deals on the window but ended up paying way more. (Like me) Their only response is thats the (wherever their company office is) and the people there dont know the stanton optical locations cant make good on those deals? Like what kind of response is that? False advertising isnt nice. That aside Im willing to rate this place 3 stars.

Charged my mother, sister, and I $25, $10, and $45 respectively for a basic eye exam with the exact same insurance card. I was not allowed to proceed with my exam without opting in for Refraction and the staff made it very clear they were only interested in sales. I just wish they made it more clear what they charged and why.
Stanton optical has been amazing the staff is so nice I was able to get an exam and glasses less than 1 hour Brandi was so helpful with helping me choose glasses and got me the best deal with their BOGO promotion I will be recommending them to my friends and family!
Horrible customer service I don’t want the owner trying to make anything right because nothing won’t be right. For god sakes the entire company needs to be shut down here in Lubbock Tx, for how rude the staff is, providing poor eye exams, and false advertising! I got the wrong prescription for glasses not once but twice! I have went here more than once not realizing that I’m being ripped off, and getting poor quality of glasses. One time I got contact lenses that didn’t last not even a month. I’m African-American and that explains for itself any time I go one of the managers were nice other than that every single person working there needs to be FIRED!!
Absolutely horrible experience!!! From the beginning, we traveled 3 hours to get our eye exams, took over 5 hours to even get finished with exam. They didn’t have the knowledge of contacts having different sizes. Truly believe they gave me wrong prescription but it’s close enough... but will be needing to return contacts as they are not good, but now they want me to drive 3 hours away again to get new prescription. Now that it’s been a few weeks since and they are holding glasses and won’t mail them like was promised during ordering process, been trying to get ahold of them everyday. Every time I call I sit on hold and wait over 30 minutes can never get through to someone at the actual store to even answer the phone.... not to mention the 2 for $70 is a scam! I ended up spending hundreds more than what they offer! Wouldn’t mind if the experience was actually decent. I Will NEVER EVER EVER use this place again. Very disappointed.
My 71 year old mom came to this place for an eye exam and new glasses. They gave her the wrong subscription and told her she should her head back in order to see! Why?! My mom need to take her drivers test and have to act as if she has problems seeing because her prescription is wrong and that will count against her during the driving exam.

They canceled the order with no notice within 5 minutes of leaving the store.I found out 4 days later when I checked on the status of my glasses. My credit card was charged and it has been 5 business days and no refund has been made to the credit card

First time I went in was the 12th. Said that I needed to see the doctor in person to get my exam done. Cool no big deal, came in on the 16th had the exam done. Went to check out and had a total a lot bigger than what I thought! Still cool though. Paid out for 1 pair of glasses, was told they didn’t have any of the lenses I needed in stock. They placed the order and said the maximum wait time was 7-14 business days. It is now day 11, yesterday it showed my glasses would be here on the 30th. Checked the order status this morning and now it’s saying they won’t be here till the 6th. I just want my glasses, don’t feel like it should have taken even half as long as it has to get them.

Just terrible customer service. I was in quick need of a contact lens exam and my normal optometrist couldn’t get me in before the weekend. My husband found Stanton Optical because it could get me in and was in network with our insurance. The place was crazy busy and had tons of customers waiting around for someone to help them. I was there for about an hour and a half, 30 minutes which took to get my exam done. I was taken aback by not seeing an actual doctor in person but on a tv screen. After an hour waiting to just get my prescription, I had to leave and told them I would just come back tomorrow to pick it up. I went in today and once again had to wait because they were busy. Reaching them by phone is pretty much impossible so forget about it. My insurance has ALWAYS covered my lens/spectacle exam plus a pair of contacts to wear out. This place charged me $50 for lenses I wasn’t fitted for and that were “special”. I didn’t trust whatever they prescribed me so after finally getting ahold of management, the only thing that could be done was to pay the difference for both exams and have them NOT bill my insurance so that I can have an exam I trust done the right way. Lesson learned!! I highly suggest you save the headache and find someone else if you need an eye exam. Even if it’s out of network it would be worth it.

Great place, even better staff! Prices are fair and they have pretty decent sales. Shoutout to Briana. She was very helpful and answered all my questions! I wish I got the names of everyone that helped me they all deserve high fives and pats on the backs!
TOO MANY APPOINTMENTS AT ONE TIME WHICH CAUSED THE WAIT TO BE RIDICULOUS. WHEN INFORMED STAFF ABOUT UR SET APPOINTMENT TIME RUDENESS WAS DISPLAYED.
I don’t know why someone would ever rate this place higher than a 1 star. Sometimes I wonder if people just don’t know better. First of all my gut told me that I was going to be scammed but I ignored it because of all other peoples Google reviews and my daughter needed contacts. I was told that I was going to be charged a certain amount and the amount that is on my receipt is different. There are these different charges that don’t reflect what services we received. The contact lens fitting charge of $50 is when someone gave us a box of contacts, then pointed at a mirror in a closet and said put them on over there and left us. I understand this is a standard at all eye exam locations but all the other stores that I have been too have someone talk to you about the fitting of the contacts. I also had difficulty with the person who I paid for the services. I kept asking questions about the contacts and charges but Carrie didn’t seem very happy to answer the questions because I was questioning the charges and the price of the contacts. I like to know what I am being charged and I know what my insurance pays for.At this point I was already feed up with this place because no one knew what was going on, the patients seemed to be lost in the shuffle between rooms and who was doing what. It was chaotic to say the least and it didn’t have to be that way.Anyone that reads this please save yourself some time and money by choosing another place to get your eye exam, contacts and glasses.
The staff was great the wait for horrible the exam went fast. But the turn around on getting ur order in is crazy. 3 to 4 weeks to get ur order in. And then I get an email today saying my order is ready all to find out its only half my order I paid almost 300 dollars for 6 months worth of contacts to have to wait a month to get them.
Very bad service.i had an appointment and they made me wait one hour.and they also made me pay more then what they said.i am never coming back.
There was a mixup on both my daughters glasses but it was addressed immediately and fixed. I love how friendly everyone was and the lady that fixed the glasses was so sweet and really did care about everything. They are also very affordable and fast.
Called and they said they accept my insurance over the phone so I went ahead and scheduled an appointment. I go to my appointment and find out I will still pay out of pocket, but I will get a 20% off discount. I just left.
I went in for an eye exam and after performing basic procedural pre test, I was taken into a room with a doctor on the virtual screen. I was told the doctor was going to check me virtually. I literally felt scammed because no one told me While scheduling the app that the doctor won’t be there in person. Not to mention, the quality of eye exam was a lot worse since I barely understood the doctor. as soon as the doctor finished the eye exam, she left without answering any of my questions. I have pressure issues in my eyes (which was verified later that day by another optometrist), and no one wanted to address that. Despite asking for prescription multiple times, I was denied and told to wait even though optometrist are required by law to give out the prescription right after the eye exam. Please avoid this place and choose a place with a better rating.

Wait time was a little bit, but the Dr took great care of us, explained everything to us in detail and took her time with us. Then we saw Natalie to get glasses and she was fantastic. Worked well with us and explained things in detail. She also did her best to give us the best rate possible. Well worth the wait to get 2 pairs of glasses out the door for less than $100

I have been going to this location for about 6 years, the doctor is always very nice! This time though the costumer service was outstanding! Briana was wonderful, very helpful and all around just a breath of fresh air! Thank you Briana!
They do not even deserve a star. Absolutely terrible customer service. Can never actually reach anyone in the store by phone. Paid for shipping for my glasses and have yet to receive then after nearly month. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS.
