Extra Space Storage, Metairie location, was recently acquired from Metro Self- Storage. My experience with the new facility manager and assistant manager by phone and in person was excellent. Both young ladies were helpful, patient and professional.

One of the strongest points for this facility is the air filtering and conditioning. I have been storing here for a very, very long time and nothing I am storing ever has dust. The temperature did vary more than I would prefer in the past but nothing has ever been damaged. Recently the temperature has been a steady 72 degrees F. Good stuff, however they raise the price every few months. I am thinking of leaving. Unfortunately I had to reduce the rating.

I came in to check out a unit for my mom and the ladies there were very informative. The facility was nice also. Iona helped me, she showed me around the property and answered any questions I had. I was not ready to rent at that time but when I am I will definitely return!!

The nice lady that works the front desk is incredible. As a business owner myself I know the importance of great customer service. I walked in after not being there for awhile and she remembered me and even little details! Its things like that that are great to find in businesses today! Keep up the great work maam!!

Clean a safe facility

Staff is very accommodating. Units are well kept and place is clean, with no pest or rodents, and plenty of carts to use. Bathrooms are only accessible during business hours though.

I have 2 units with Metro. they were the cheapest in town and offer excellent security and friendly service. I would like a few more moving accessories on the bottom floor, but as long as you come prepared or go at slow times, this is a non-issue. Would do business with again.

I have never had to rent a storage but will be needing one in the near future. Ariane gave excellent customer service. She was very helpful and was able to answer any question that I asked. If I had to rent anywhere it would be with Metro Self Storage because she made me feel welcome and she was very friendly

I have never been so impressed with a storage facility, as this one. Before I chose this location, I shopped storage units around Metairie. In one day, I visited about 5 large storage complexes from Causeway to Clearview. One of them claimed to be climate controlled but seemed like it was about 85 degrees inside. Another literally had water leaking in from outside, and the unit I was shown had a wet floor. Another in fat city seemed nice, but had the tiniest elevator that wouldnt work for the pallets/pallet jack I needed to move inventory. Metro Storage checked all the boxes. I moved my companys inventory into multiple units, and I was happy. Over the course of the next few years, I got to know the administrators, David & Ariane, who are amazing. Both David and Ariane go above and beyond their duties and have helped me in so many ways. They have received parcels for me and had deliveries placed directly inside my units without me being there. When I needed a pen, or a screwdriver, or a tape measure, or any tools they had, they supplied when I asked without hesitation. When me or someone on my team arrives, its not uncommon for friendly Ariane to swing by the unit just to check-in and see if we needed anything. David and Ariane run a tight ship. I have no idea how old this place is, but it seems like new. It is always cool, clean, well lit, secure, and has the best staff. Obviously this place is great for personal storage, but it is particularly good for businesses to store inventory and easy for freight pick-up/delivery with large trucks. The loading area is large, and easy for large delivery trucks to get in and out. This place is well located too, with restaurants/drugstore nearby, and a coffeeshop directly across the street. If youre looking to for a great customer experience at a storage unit facility, this place is it.
