If youre looking for a good Eye Dr, this is the place. The Optometrist is very good...knowledgeable, friendly and experienced. The staff are professional and friendly with good customer service. The only downside is the prices for glasses and contacts are way too high. For a typical package which one would expect to pay around $100 -$200 (with insurance), we were quoted around $700. My recommendation is to have your exam here but purchase contacts and glasses online.
This place was much better when it was Halpern and not this My Eye Dr. corporate business. Since becoming My Eye Dr, they have failed to call me 4 different visits when my eyeglasses were done. The salesperson quoted me with lens material which was not covered under insurance and after waiting 2 weeks longer without a call, I showed up to get my glasses once I remembered they hadnt called, and they literally broke the glasses while fitting it on my face. Snapped the lens with a plier and cracked it. Had to leave without my glasses and they swore they would call me when the replacement came in. They did not. It was longer than 2 months for me to get my glasses. Theyve also messed up my existing information despite shopping here for over ten years. The good news is there are decent selection and the actual doctors helping evaluate your sight are professional and good. The pricing, at least with my insurance, is good enough. Just watch it when youre in the sales floor area, double check the paperwork, get everything in writing, and put a reminder to find out if your glasses came in on the calendar because I no longer have hope that they can manage to send me a message for something Ive bought.
All the staff was extremely friendly and professional. My glasses were done in no time. Definitely would recommend :)
I am visiting Delaware and my glasses broke. The staff at Myeyedoctor in Milford were so friendly and helpful and they fixed my glasses for free...Thanks for making the rest of my vacation enjoyable!!You guys are awesome!!!Joni ZAZ
The staff were friendly and very helpful. And I had a great variety of designer glasses to choose from.
Definitely a customer service fail. They struggled to service my elderly parent, and did not attempt to make any accommodations. Lol, and yet they billed us for the visit. Double fail. Next!
I had the best experience today at the Milford my eye dr. I was taken right back to the room and seen very quickly. Everyone was so nice from check in to picking out my glasses. I had made it known I was on a budget and they went above and beyond to help me stay within that budget! I will definitely continue to go to my eye dr for my eye glass needs.
Really like the service at this location. The staff helped me pick out an appropriate pair of glasses and fitted them perfectly.
Wonderful staff at the Milford location. So friendly and personable. Extremely helpful when I was choosing glasses and sunglasses. Highly recommend!
Lauren was jist wonderful! She was attentive, understanding, and had a fantastic personality! She helped me find exactly what I was looking for and helped me stay on budget! She was patient with me and was just an awesome person to have help me! 10/10 Lauren!
Sharon was great. Sharon has assisted me with my glasses selection and fitting many times over the years and she has always been helpful and professional.
Dr. Iskander and the staff at the Milford location are amazing. Knowledgeable, patient, kid-friendly. Nice facility and convenient location, as well.
Very poor customer service and ethics displayed by 1 of the front desk personnel and practice manager. I will not recommend this location. I would be happy to speak with someone in regards to my experience.
Always a great experience from start to finish!
Love this place, great selection of glasses & staff is very courteous & professional.
I went here and I was amazed at how pretty the place was after they relocated. I was also so happy with the service here that I just had to tell my sister and brother to get their glasses here too.
The staff were very pleasant and efficient. Great selection of glasses. Very impressed with how quick my visit was and how quickly my glasses were ready. Really enjoyed my experience with this location. Certainly will recommend this location to others.
The 1st visit was pleasant. My daughter has insurance that pays 100% of her visit and her glasses. I still had to pay $130.00. 1 week laterI received a text, saying her glasses were in. I went on Friday 8/21/20 for pick up and fit. They handed us the glasses in a case with a piece of paper and a rubber band around the case and made us leave. They would not fit her glasses. I was told she needed a separate appointment fora fitting. We were never advised that we neededTo make an appointment to have her glasses fitted. I found an optical store next to Redners in Milford and they adjusted them for me.
Wonderful people, nice costumer service. We love my eye doctor.
Front desk is so unprofessional I just had the worst experience ever and they made me miss my scheduled appointment today. Please get some structure in this facility.
I called to have my eye looked at they told me to come in right away. I told the girl I was at work but I made arrangements to hurry up and get there and I sat and sat . So I asked how much longer would it be and she checked she tells me they are going to sanitize the room and call me back. Did they do that no they called someone else next so on that i had ro gwt bavk ro work so I never got seen shoukd not have me co.e in immediately if they knew I was fojng to have ro wait so it was a waztec trip tjanks alot worst service ever
The service today was awesome. And the price for my glasses was so low (I had insurance) I had to do a double take!
Prompt, friendly service. The ladies here were upfront about costs and processes. They went out of their way to help me save $ (no insurance) and were very patient with me when choosing a frame (I took forever!).The Dr. was knowledgeable, thorough and also friendly to interact with.It was an absolute pleasure to deal with the staff in this office. Truly one of the best experiences Ive had an at eye Dr.
Dropped a friend off about eight minutes late and the receptionist seemed pretty annoyed. I went back after an hour to see if he was done, and while asking the receptionist about how long he would be, I stuttered and she started smirking like she was holding back a laugh, then she ignored my question and turn to a woman beside her while smiling and chuckling under her breath without repeating my question to her and just stared at her friend while smiling for a good 10 to 15 seconds after ignoring me. Literally the worst customer service I have experienced out of any business. I would just recommend staying to Accurate Optical.
At ease
The eye exam was good. However my bf was told that his insurance would cover the exam. My bf made it very clear that he didnt want an exam UNLESS his insurance covered itThey assured him it was covered. Also when he was working his glasses were very expensive so they could bang the insurance company. Now that hes retired they are half price with no insurance. Then two months after his eye exam he was billed for the exam they assured was covered. He called, explained the situation...they never called back. Assuming they corrected it. Another month goes by and another bill was sent. It took me 5 calls and 3 people and weeks later to finally get an answer. There answer was sorry if we made a mistake but you will have to pay the bill. Not even willing to split the difference. Very unprofessional!!! Please tell your friends.
Been going for a few years now. Was told my eye glasses warranty was only good for one time! Sense i already used it once for scratches i coukd not use it again. Even thou i had a 1 yesr warranty and this is not stated anywhere in my paper work! How is that even a warranty if only good once. Clearly i need to find a eye doctor that is honest whats warranty for?
Great doctors but bad customer service. I moved out of state and called to get my records. The lady i talked to at the front desk was completely rude and unprofessional. She was talking over me and just telling me that i had to go in to the store even though i moved 18 hours away. This went on for 5 minutes until she transferred me to a supervisor who helped me right away. I do not understand why i had to be talked to like that only to get exactly what i was asking for from the beginning which were my own records. DO NOT GO HERE! Delaware eye center is much better never had a problem with them like this when i lived in Delaware.
Always amazing service, ive been a customer for many many years and yet to be disappointed!!!!Keep up the great service !
Customer Service in the Milford office is terrible. Patients are always wrong and they are always right. Warranty means nothing.
Im 60 years old and have seldom been so dissatisfied with customer service. However the eye examination Dr. was very good and thorough . The service however is horrible. First problem was..One silicone nose pad came off my glasses and when I returned the employee told me they dont carry my glass style in silicone and they would need to order them ..but they did install 2 matching plastic pads. I was told they would call me when the correct nose pads came in. I was never called for the correct nose pads! My glasses would now slip off my face rather easily and eventually fell and hit the ground .. I now had a scratch in the eye line of sight. I paid the extra for the replacement insurance. So on a vacation day I returned to get the glass replaced or get in started. The employee told me yes your glasses are still under warranty ..she also said she was having a problem with the computer system.. so she verified my cell and home number... guess what no call again!... I am a busy person with a full schedule I understand my needs can not always be met immediately but zero follow up is unacceptable. The customer service here in my opinion is terrible and I will not do future business here. This is just my experience. Mark Francis, Seaford DE.
Its very odd. The one in dover is pretty exceptional. The one in Milford seems to be the complete opposite. I thought i would go to this one because its closer to my house. Honestly regret it and wish i would have just drove to dover. Its taken alittle over a month to get my new glasses. First they lost the ones i picked out and stated had to clean inventory and removed them off . They told me to just pick new ones. Then they had a problem using booth my insurances. Then i asked if they could make sure the lense isnt very thick. Paid extra for it to be shaved really close. When i got the glasses after two weeks it was very thick. So they said they had to send it off again. Still havent received my glasses and its been basically a month. Not at all happy with the service. Im probably gunna choose another office or just go back to the one in dover next year.
Sept 27, 2019 I stopped at Milford My Eye Doctor and told them my eye glasses broke (again) and I needed the lenses put in a New frame. Taylor spent about 5 minutes looking in computer and then checked a wall display and said She was sorry they didnt have the frame but that the Georgetown store had 2 in stock. TOO late in the day to head 17 miles to Georgetown but found time on Oct 3. The salesppl in Georgetown said they werent familiar with the frame and didnt have it and were sorry I had driven there. I called the Milford store after I left georgetown and the receptionist researched and told me they did have a pair and asked me who had waited on me. I went to the Milford store on Friday and as soon as I said I had broken my frame, the receptionist reached over and got the frames they had set aside for me for which I was grateful. Taylor was told to wait on me and I told her that she had sent me to Georgetown for nothing. She said the lenses were sent from Georgetown I stayed that they werent.... She said the lady who works at georgetown was here Friday and I asked her.... I worked as a customer service rep for many years in the Air Force and I know how far an apology can go. I didnt get a hint of an apology. She handed me my new glasses which felt loose, but I had had enough and decided to tolerate the glasses until my appt in Feb.Thank you very much for contacting me with an apology. I will change my review to a 4. I sincerely appreciate the customer service. TYVM.
This place is just a money vaccum. And the customer service was horrible. My wife and I walk in and the receptionist doesnt even look at us while rambling off the standard greeting. Next, the wait was horrendous! People who came in after me were leaving before she was even seen. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to who they picked. So she finally gets seen and the purpose for her going was because she had severe light sensitivity and needed paperwork signed for the dmv. After an hour of tests including dilation the doctor says flat out that she never signs the waivers. Ever. Turns right around and they aggressively try to have her try on and sell us glasses on our way out-pupils still dilated and all. My wife could barely see! 135 dollars for nothing. My wife makes an appointment the next day with another optometrist, was seen in half the time, and quickly determined she definitely needed the waiver and signed off. They couldnt believe they would refuse to sign off considering her condition. Ill never return to this place again
So very disappointed in how this place went downhill after Dr. Halpern sold the business. Very difficult to get an appointment, then over a week ago they called me to cancel my eye exam because our new machine isnt in yet. Never heard back from them. Was able to easily get an appointment at another eye dr with much better patient support and service. Their prices have gone up, their service has gone down, and the front office staff seem demoralized. I will miss Dr. Iskander, but I cant wait months to get an appointment and not having equipment seems like a weak excuse.
Good for emergencies only! Thats how I 1st became patient (at Georgetown), that visit went well, good service, etc... Was time 4 exam so I went 2 Milford because its closer to home. Exam went OK, opted for additional photo-exam for $40 add-on. Photo revealed a potential problem resulting in referral. My insurance covers referral w/ $12 copay. After 2 visits I get bill for $24 & pay online (easy-peasy). About a month ago I get 2 $12 past-due notices. Pretty sure I dont owe money but its only $24. Go online, site says I owe $0.00 Next I call local office and talk to someone that promises to call me back (never happens). Go on vaca and come home to FINAL NOTICE (x2) along with threat of forwarding to collection agency. My credit score starts to tremble at the thought.Go to local office, file complaint, get written validation that I owe nothing. I also requested copies of all my records & cancelled my future (paid referral) visits. When I completed the records application the mgr said I need to give him a reason for request. My reply: I am no longer a patient of this entire franchise, as such I want to ensure that I never have to darken your doors again. What a joke of an operation. Technically the affair is still ongoing because the local office couldnt fix the billing error. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I recently used the optometrist in Milton. Good operation, nice folks, no shenanigans.
All I can say is I regret the time I spent at this place!! My issues were never resolved and every time I returned which cost me more money- dr Halpern would contradict what he told me on the last visit! First visit he said my pink eye was being caused by an allergen -duh! He changed me to an older type of lens and I had been told by my retired eye dr that I was allergic to the material of the lens and he put me in disposable breathable lens. When I tried to tell the dr this he brushed it aside in an angry manner and said the allergen was my solution. He changed my solution and said if you have any problems before your next visit in 3 wks call. My pink eye improved for maybe 3 days and came back with a vengeance. I called, went and saw him again, he refused the listen to me and sd my problem is not an allergen it is just seasonal allergies.. mind you 7 days earlier he sd allergen. He gives me eye drops and assured me I’ll be better. I do not get better so I return in 2 wks. He kept saying allergies are causing all my problems and if it was an allergen I’d be itching - er my eyes do itch - totally ignored me and sd no your discharge is stringy- I sd listen my manager and family dr can tell you it’s dropped out in drops not strings- he goes well there’s no color - I sd yes there is - well it doesn’t matter, increase your drops to 2 a day.. I decided to google and see what the drops were for - itchy eyes - he told me I didn’t have itchy eyes.. I can’t even put a lens in my right eye due to pink eye and it’s been about 6 wks since my eyes started dripping gunk! Everything that my old eye dr told me would happen as an allergic reaction to soft lens material is happening. He was halting it by giving me breathable disposable lens. Im not going back to my eye dr! I have an appt w another dr and maybe he won’t have a vendetta against a dr that is better then him! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! A yr ago for my check up I was taken to the glass place after my exam and told I had to buy a pr of glasses. The woman was rude and pushy. I told her I have just enough money for 6 mo of contacts - that’s it! She’d just get up, walk away saying nothing and leave me sitting for a few minutes then return, sit down, smile and say - now that will b a yr worth of contacts and a pr of glasses. I’d say NO it’s 6 mo of lens and no glasses. She did this to me 4 times and I sd look you get up one more time and leave me I’m walking out! She became very cold and hateful saying the problem was I saw him in March and she didn’t think my insurance would pay for 2 visits - yes they will. She refused to believe me so I told her I’ll pay it but get me the bill now or you’ll b mailing it to me! When I got my insurance statement my ins co paid it but I never got my money back from my eye dr! Money hungry mongrels! Want to know the difference between a good eye dr and a bad one?? My old eye dr explained to me that I was developing an allergy to soft lens material and that he’d try his best to get me into gas permeable - but my eye was shaped like a football and it’d b hard BUT he wouldnt charge me anything until he got me into lens that fit. I visited that office about every 2 wks for almost a year and pd nothing until I got my contacts that fit. That is a exceptional eye dr!!! He cared about my eyes! He went the extra mile!
Great customer service. Fast service and turn around. Very friendly!
I had such a wonderful experience at Halpern! It was my first eye exam in 5 years, and my first time at Halpern. I didnt know what to expect, but right away, the assistant walked me through the steps that I would go through at the appointment, and not to be nervous. Are you expecting that your doctor will judge you for some thing or another? I have had that experience WAY too many times to count. When Dr. Ishkander greeted me, that is what I expected- another judgemental professional telling me all of the things that Ive done wrong. Not only was he NOT judgemental, but he normalized the struggles that I was going through with my eyes, and ensured that he and Halpern would be able to make my life more comfortable. He explained 4 ways that getting new glasses would improve my life, and I was not expecting this.I have never taken the time to comment about a medical professional/ practice online, but I feel so strongly about this that I felt it was necessary. It was 3:30p, and everyone still asked me how they could help! I will be recommending Halpern to anyone I know that needs care for their eyes. I cant say enough good things! Thank you!!!
Nice clean place, nice staff, doctor and quick service, excellent experience. Thank you.
Scam artists. Just looking to fleece your insurance company and you.
Great service and good Doctors.
