You get what you pay for, and you are really not paying more. Their prices are awesome and the service is impeccable. They always have my glasses with in days, and they even fix the glasses that I didn’t buy there. I bought glasses at the box stores and through the online site, and I’m always sorry, because they never fit right and there’s no one to fix them. The staff at Pearle vision center in Milford is friendly, attentive, and reliable!
I just want to start off by saying that I never felt the need to write a review until now. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. The DOCTOR WAS VERY RUDE and overall I HAD HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I called a week in advance( a week before) before me,my daughter and my infant physically went into the building. The person on the phone said that they couldn’t accept my daughter but then later changed it by saying to come in the week after(the phone call was made). After a week me,my daughter and my infant all went to the place even though it was raining and there could be a chance that my infant son could get a cold. I went there and they made us sit for 48 minutes before telling me that they couldnt accept me and my daughter because they cant accept two insurances. I tried to tell them that they should have told me before I came to their building since I could have gone to another eye doctor because my daughter’s doctor told me to go get her eyes checked to rule out if my daughters painful migraines/headaches were related to her eyes or something more serious. In my opinion the doctor handled the situation poorly and unprofessionally, at one point he even rolled his eyes while talking to me. They scheduled my daughter without checking my insurance then only checked it after 25+ minutes of us waiting. This was my second time there and the last time I was there I also had to wait a long time before my daughter was checked but I just thought it was like that because it was our first time there. Im so sorry If I made any mistakes in my writing, Im not the best at english as english isnt my first language but the service was awful to the point that I had to write about this so other people wont have to experience what I experienced.
Nothing but problems at this practice. When I tried to switch practices they wouldnt even give me my own records to take with me. Avoid at all costs
My daughter had given me a high-end pair of sunglasses, only I wear prescription lenses. She had suggested I simply get my prescription lenses put in the frame. Since Costco was unable to handle this for me they had recommended Pearle Vision on the Boston Post Road in Milford and I was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Sara, the manager, was wonderful, and researched first to make sure it was possible to replace the lenses as well as assist with insurance coverage. What a wonderful job they did inserting progressive sunglass lenses in my fabulous new frames! I would definitely recommend checking them out.
I would not recommend this location at all! The owner Ted was not helpful at all! I called and asked to have my prescription faxed. Emily said yes! Then i called back to make sure i gave the correct number to face because it had been a little while!!! Emily was very rude over the phone the second time saying in a nasty tone “ I have 10 people ahead of you I’m trying my best I’m technically legally not aloud to fax it without a signature” I then asked “will you be faxing it then or do i need to come it?” She nastily said my name and said “she would get to it” then hung up!!! I was not done with my questions!!! I drove to the location to file a complaint with a manager!! That’s when i meant Ted! I started by asking if calls were recorded because i had an issue and i would like to file a formal complaint!!! At this point Emily came over pulled her mask down and started yelling at me and making fun of the way i was standing!!! Very rude and unprofessional! I continued to try to complain to Ted who told me “COVId is a rough time for people and they have seen attitude from both side” which i understand however I did not get rude with Emily!!! I am not sure who to speak with further on this issue because Ted said he’s is not last one to speak to and he watched Emily yell and be rude and made it seem like i was on the wrong!!!!
Just had one of the worst customer service experiences in my life, honestly I should have walked out and taken my business elsewhere. The girl with the green hair( who wasn’t even professional enough to give me her name, and it wasn’t on the receipt) acted as if I was inconveniencing her by shopping in their store. She told me I couldn’t touch more than 5 frames, told me I couldn’t use my insurance and the coupon ( provided by my insurance which specifically said on the coupon it could be combined with my benefits), was short and rude about every step of the process of placing my order, put in the wrong lenses for my glasses and then got mad at me for her mistake, charged me for insurance for 3 pairs of glasses when I only purchased 2 pairs and then told me to get out of the chair I was sitting in as I looked over the rest of the itemized receipt for more errors. I won’t be surprised at all if something is wrong with my new glasses when they arrive, either way I will never be doing business here again.
What great staff! My glasses broke on the way to a social event and we took the chance of popping into Pearl Vision. I was met by Sarah and Maria who were so incredibly kind! They repaired my glasses for me and had me on my way in less than 5 minutes. I cannot thank them enough. When it comes time for my next eye test and new glasses purchase, I will definitely go back. Good customer care experiences go a long way. Thank you!
I do not recommend this place, management very rude and unprofessional.
Awful customer service over the phone. Called to ask a few simple questions and was rushed off the phone. I mentioned that my rx was expired and she didn’t even ask I wanted to book an appointment for an exam. Going elsewhere.
This was my first time here and I was happy with everything. The eye doctor was very good - friendly but efficient. Staff were super helpful and knowledgeable . I didnt have to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. I recommend.
I am usually not one for writing reviews but this entire staff deserves the shout-out! They were able to fit me in for a same day appointment when I ripped my last contact. It was probably the quickest in and out Ive ever experienced in terms of going to the eye doctor but that did not effect the quality of my service one bit.Dr. Eng is the man. He made the eye exam enjoyable and was extremely efficient. He is also the only eye doctor Ive ever seen that didnt make me feel like a complete piece of garbage for being wayyy over due on an eye exam and for having glasses that are ancient. (Being a contact wearer I usually would only buy those due to insurance and budget). The last doctor I saw actually scolded me like a child - part of the reason why I didnt give him any more business than I needed to.Next, Sara helped me with ordering contacts and glasses. She helped me find a pair of frames that I loved AND that were completely covered by my insurance (which I loved more!). She also then took the time to price match out the cheapest contacts online to get me the best deal. She was extremely pleasant and really went above and beyond.Overall this was one of the best experiences Ive ever had dealing with eye doctors. Would absolutely recommend!!
This is the second time I use the services of Pearle Vision, Milford, CT and, as it was on the first time, I find the staff to be very knowledgeable and interested in helping their customers.
Shows open until 6 guess what not open
Thank you to the staff in Milford today for repairing my husband’s eyeglasses. He needs to wear his glasses since he has serious vision issues. Very cordial and knowledgeable staff.
I got my eye exam here and the doctor was really nice and Sara helped me a lot. She put me in her system and helped me to get my exam done quick and easily. I did not get glasses here but the customer service was great! I would highly recommend coming here to get glasses.
Not a good experience, switched providers.
I was fortunated to get last minute appointment, service was beyond my expectations. The ladies in the front were very patient and helpful in accommodating me. I recommend the office and I am very pleased with the knowledge and expertise that I was given on choosing my glasses.
Eye dr was ok. However, WORST customer service from the front staff I’ve ever experienced. I used them in the past and had the same experience. I only went back b/c I really liked the past optometrist (he was gone) and it was a new front staff. Staff changed, but their attitudes and rudeness didn’t. (One in particular) Going on almost 3 weeks now, with still no glasses. Called last week, girl at front told me I only had an eye exam, didn’t pick out frames. When I reminded her, she remembered there was an insurance issue and they’d be ready following week Tuesday or Wednesday. Called back Weds, she told me I was only just seen 2 days ago... I said no, 2 1/2 week ago, where she then told me oh yes, insurance problem 5 to 7 more biz days. When I started to tell her that’s what she told me week prior, she got all condescending and said I just told you 5 to 7 more biz days. So so rude. The way she speaks to people is awful. EVERYONE warned me not to go back! I’ll wait one more week for my glasses (IF they’re ever ready) and NEVER go back there. Also, FYI, you’re allowed to have a copy of your prescription, without the whole attitude! I’ll be getting that, as well, and will never return!
Sara is one of my favorite eye doctors at Pearle Vision! She’s very attentive and always kind to me. I would highly recommend going here. Sara also takes extra care to make sure all of my needs are met.
I hadnt been to an eye doctor in years, like legit YEARS, I called to see if they took my insurance and make an appointment and they were so accommodating and I hadnt even met them yet.My first appointment came and the girls were FANTASTIC, so welcoming and friendly in every way. Nina sat and talked with me- I am not good with doctors appointments of any kind and she put my mind at ease.Dr. Eng is so funny! he made the appointment fun but he was also extremely thorough and explained every step of the process. He also is a whiz at quoting 80s movies which I loved.I did have a problem with my lenses but thank goodness Sarah and Nina were there. They fit me in without an appointment to fix my glasses and made everything so easy for me! I am actually sad that I dont have to go back regularly I may have to make up issues so I can go back and hang out with them more.Thank you so much everyone at Pearle Vision Milford!
Beyond kind and helped me fix my glasses quickly and efficiently. Thank you!!!
I would not even give this place 1 star if I could post this without selecting one. . They are the worst of the worst. I have been wearing glasses for years. I went here for the first time a month ago, had my eyes checked, received my new glasses (after weeks of me calling them to find out what the hold up was), now I cant even see properly with the glasses. I see distance fine, but have to take the glasses off to see directly in front of me. The young lady in the office told me, I needed to go to the pharmacy and purchase reading glasses. WHAT DO YOU MEAN. I spent $600.00 for some glasses that I cant even see with to read? I have never had an issue with glasses in the past. My prescription changed very slightly. These are the most unprofessional, inexperienced set of people I have ever come in contact with. I would not take a dog to them.
I usually don’t leave reviews but I truly feel compelled to do so. Let me start by saying I’ve been coming to this location for the last 3 years and I typically don’t have any issues. This year, however, has been a nightmare. If I could leave zero stars, I would. The first issue arose when I was overcharged $40 for a contact fitting. I knew the price seemed strange when I was told the cost of my annual eye exam would be $90 with insurance. I have been wearing contacts for 15 years and have never paid more than $40. I questioned the associate and she told me I would have to “ask the doctor” but he was in another appointment. I ended up paying the $90 and called my insurance after leaving and they told me I was definitely overcharged. When I returned to order my contacts the doctor let me know I was overcharged and would be refunded...that should have been my first red flag. Still having good faith, I proceeded to attempt to order a year supply of contacts. After using my insurance I was given a quote for $600 for contacts. I have NEVER paid more than $200 out of pocket for contacts. I did a quick google search and saw I could purchase the contacts a lot cheaper online so I decided to only use my insurance to buy 3 months from Pearle Vision and pay for the rest elsewhere. However, the doctor wrote me a prescription for daily use contacts and I wanted to switch to biweekly. I was told the doctor would need to write me another prescription for biweekly but he was in another appointment....this was over a week ago! I am still unsure why the prescription has a specific brand I would have to purchase as this has NEVER been the case before! I have since returned twice and called and the prescription is STILL not filled. It’s like they are holding my prescription hostage because I won’t purchase a year supply of contacts from them! I asked if they could get the doctor to write the new prescription while I am there (for the third time)...the doctor is apparently busy all day that he can’t take 2 minutes to rewrite a prescription. They aren’t able to obtain my prescription but “can order the contacts for me”....This is RIDICULOUS. I’m also told whenever the doctor gets around to writing my prescription it can only be mailed or faxed, not emailed (because we aren’t in the year 2018, apparently). I will not be returning to this Pearle Vision again. Hopefully my prescription arrives by carrier pigeon soon. They also do not greet customers when you walk in. I’d rather go elsewhere. Save yourselves the headache.
The older gentlemen that does glasses in the front is cranky and was consistently speaking with an attitude. The doctor turned what should have been a simple eye exam into a whole ordeal by taking the next person who showed up early for their appointment.Leaving me waiting forever. A woman came in, went somewhere else for an eye exam, and returned to get glasses from Pearle in the time I was waiting for Dr. Eng
This place is fantastic! Crystal & Anita have gone above & beyond. Will recommend this location to many. Thank you all so much.Mark. R
I REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND ALL THE BICKERING AND 1 STARS BUT I HAVE BEEN GOING HERE FOR 10 YEARS ON AND OFF. I AM A FIRM BELIEVER THAT U GET WHAT U PAY FOR . Any part of your body is expensive and its not a place you can cut corners. Ted (the Owner) stands behind their products and repairs your frames whenever possible and Anita is sweet as pie... Todays society has to be a little more patient and if u read the other bad reviews its about price and time spent..i am noy rich by any means but again u get what u pay for
Ive been wearing glasses and contact lenses for 25 years and this place has given By far the worst customer service Ive ever experienced in my life. not only was I talked down to by the optometrist and the customer service associate Ted who turned out to be part owner when I filed my complaint because I was overcharged for advertise the glasses corporate never responded to any of my concerns because Ted the salesman was actually the franchise owner. not only did this man disrespect, talk down, and straight up ignore my concerns he chose not To personally deal with my apology instead pointing me off on Sarah one of his customer service associates at 1st she was nice but then frustrated with my concerns and how I knew I was being taken advantage of chose to cut me off and not a dress any of my issues.... this place is the worst do yourself a favor and stay away
Came for my appointment at noon, didnt get seen until 12:37. Which made me late for work. They decided to ever so nicely take someone that was a walk in before someone with an actual SCHEDULED appointment. Which is rude and unprofessional. Walk ins should not be priority over people with appointments. Will NEVER be going back.
Dont bother with this place. After 15 years as a customer I skipped an appointment and they will harass you for a $50 fee. Will not book my appointment until I pay the money first, really that desperate for money they cant wait for me to go in the day of my appointment. oh don;t bother speaking to a Nina there shes the worst, nasty with a terrible attitude. This place is not what it once was, its a shame I used to love it here. Oh well time to look for a new eye doctor!!!! Good bye Pearl Vision and all your crappy workers!
This place ordered the wrong prescription?! Sarah who placed the order tried to blame the mistake on other employees. If you make a mistake own it. Dont throw your coworkers under the bus and then lie to your customers. Poorly run and completely unorganized.
They get very salty if you want them to put prescription lenses in your glasses. $280 just for lenses! They tried to make it seem like my insurance was the problem, but I have good insurance. They won’t even give you your entire prescription. It’s $50 for the pupillary distance! Sleazy!
I called to get a prescription and the lady over the phone was highly unprofessional! I also work in customer service and will never treat customers the way she spoke to me
Never in my life have I felt compelled to leave a business review, but I feel completely taken advantage of and deceived by this seemingly friendly, money hungry franchise. I wish I read the other reviews before coming here, lesson learned. LensCrafters is across the street... go there instead.
There’s a women named Sarah that works at this Milford location. She was extremely rude. I’ve dealt with numerous mistakes at this location and today was the last straw. They’ve ordered my prescription wrong and then want to be rude to me. Stay away if you value your time.
Terrible front staff in the eveningI was looking for a new optometrist.Thirty minutes before they close, I called to make sure that they take my insurance( they are listed on my insurances list of in-network providers, I just like to double check). The lady told me that theyre not familiar with it without even looking at the card. I gave them my insurance card so they could look up my plan ( as advised by my insurance). Without doing anything, she said to try again tomorrow when the morning staff can answer my question. Uh what?
I should have read the reviews before I went. The staff was alright, the wait was horrrible but its a doctors office. They decided to bill me something different because they found something, even though I went in for a routine exam. Ive called my insurance company regarding this and hopefully it will be fixed, but I think I have to bite the bullet and just pay it.
I understand completely what everyone is talking about, they are very rude especially if you change your mind or want to get your prescription to chose another place to purchase your glasses, their entire attitude will change instantly, Ted the owner/manager is the worst, he never smiles and is very condescending, never going back!
Rude and unorganized staff that do not care that they continually mess up and give out misinformation like its fact.
Sarah was so rude. I wont be going here anymore.
If you expect your patient to spend 1 to 2 hours, you should have running restrooms on your facility. One should not have to go to adjoining Dunkin Donuts to use the restroom. Also, there is not even a proper place to hang your coat. Not a great experience.
