Loved this store. Wide aisles, great selection of food stuff, friendly staff. Only complaint was lack of coffee selection IMHO.

This was a nice Stop and Shop. Clean, well stocked and decently priced. The fish market was all fresh or freshly frozen. The meat market had freshly cut everything. If you a meat resized the butcher was eight there. The brad and bakery were all fresh. The veggies and fruit were fresh with nothing old pushed to the front . All the aisles were amply stocked given the Christmas holiday on the horizon.

Use online shopping & pick-up in the parking lot many times with no problems!

This location serves as a convenience for those in the immediate area. However, the store is only here to keep out the competition. There are at least 4 other locations within 10 minutes. The store was given minor updates, including the region wide remodel package a few years ago, but still appears very worn and outdated, with flooring and other fixtures from the Shaws it once was. Stop and Shop put minimal investment in this one. The last time I went in for one item, the store seemed dark and depressing and a bit dirty. Not many customers for a Saturday morning either. I will give points for the fully stocked and neat/organized store and helpful staff whenever I visited. I just think this store isnt really needed. However, it is good in a pinch.

Have always been happy with this store. Clean. Prices a bit high. But recently a new check out person has not been very nice. She even made me show her my license to buy corecedan HBP . I said when did this start and she snapped for years. I said that’s for the ones in the pharmacy. She said nothing. Real attitude problem. Needs adjustment. I’ve been thinking of shopping elsewhere.

Well stocked isles. Deli was busy but the line was moving quickly. They had everything I was looking for. Self check-out was quick and painless.

The big thing is customer interaction. I feel that good about walking in being greeted and other interactions. In these difficult times positivity is important.

Not the best stop and shop I have been too. No customer service ask something no one knows, bathroom yucky😜 and disorganized.

Disappointed in this stop and shop, I went here Saturday may 15th to purchase some groceries. Got some fruit some yogurt some other things as well. Got home and went to eat a strawberry, turns out it had white mold all over it, looked at the other box as well and they both were moldy.(Ill be sure to post pictures in the photo section as well.) Said fine whatever it happens. Moved on to this morning where I was sitting down ready to eat my yogurt, just happened to have the expiry date in front of me and it was already expired by a day when I bought it from the store.(Ill post that picture as well). I have a yogurt that I bought there a week or 2 ago, and it doesnt expire til june I went back and checked, so how long was the yogurt I bought Saturday sitting on your shelf for?? I wouldnt normally be one to complain but cmon 2 incidents from one store in a matter of 3 days. Im 4 months pregnant, and if this makes me sick, someone is going to hear my mouth... This Is unacceptable, Do better.

Lets just say for some odd reason... this location (Berlin) is so more advance and offers more than the one less than 5 miles away on the same Road (Jordan Lane). Sad but true... Demographics

This store is always clean but the prices are a bit steep for me in comparison to their competitors. Therefore, i only stop here when i am in dire need. Otherwise, i would be a loyal customer.

I like to Stop & Shop much better then the one on Newington Road by my house thats way more variety at this one!!

Store was organized and isles are clearly marked with arrows to guide you through out the store. And one of the very few places you go where the entrance and exit are separated to minimize cross contact with other shoppers.

I went there with my family and checked out in the self counter with My debit card and collected the receipt. On our way towards the exit door one guy called me and say “ you have to pay and complete the purchase “ he took me to the no.10 counter of the self check out. I asked him why you asking me to pay I already paid and got the receipt. Then he said the oh if you got receipt you can goABSOLUTELY STRANGE ME AND FAMILY MY FEELWe went to the customer care then and the lady over there was kind of supporting her staff there. Its a shame because they treat like you as onewhoLeave the shop without paying.Its a kind of insult. Very very bad customer care

This stop & shop is probably one of my favorite being they have such a great selection.

Never saw a large supermarket with no meat dept (butcher) only meat in sealed packages wasnt pleased

This particular stop and shop seemed more expensive than some others I usually go to.

If you are fortunate enough to live near this Stop & Shop ... Consider yourself lucky. Personally, it is the biggest Stop & Shop that I have ever seen and it has a far wider variety of prepared hot foods.

Stop and Shop in Newington on Kitts Lane is open Monday-Saturday 6am-11pm and Sunday 6am-10pm.

I love this stop & shop solely because the layout is different and looks better than your average store.I also enjoy the large amount of self check out lanes which makes ringing yoursself out a breeze.There is a closer stop & shop to where I live but I like this location much better.

I came in to pick up a prescription and decided to get a rotisserie chicken for work. I walked over and this very polite younger male told me that the ones in the oven were ready and he’ll give me a fresh one!!! I was so excited and I thought that was extra nice of him. I wish I got his name because he deserves to be recognized for his customer service.

The staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to be helpful when they can. That being said, this location is terrible. The store layout alone makes finding items and navigating the store such a nightmare that, what should have been a quick 20 minute shop turned into an hour and a half of walking from one side of the store, needlessly, dozens of times. The availability of items in this location is also incredibly questionable. I shop at all of the surrounding stop and shop locations and they all are now well equipped with toilet paper and napkins. Not this location. Essential supplies, forget about it, this store cant even keep common items stocked. It would take an several hours for me to fully explain the overall frustration with supply issues in this location. I will never return to this location, period. I would rather go to the park avenue location, where employees are rude and make me feel like I am bothering them by asking for assistance, because at least they keep their store well stocked.Edit; You are absolutely NOT working around the clock to stock your shelves, when all other surrounding locations of you can manage to have full shelves of toilet paper, but your location is still struggling; its not a supply issue at this point, its a management issue. The fact of the matter is, this location is doing several things entierly poorly, including responding to this complaint, at 3am, with this standard cookie-cutter type of reply. I do not believe you will fix the issues in this location. I do not believe that I have been heard or taken seriously. Again, I will state, I would rather go to a location where the employees are RUDE and make customers feel UNWELCOMED, than return to this location. That statement should absolutely have been directly responded to. Exactly who is the genius running your social media department at 3am? Get some sleep and come back when you have something that genuinely contributes to the conversation.

All employees are always so welcoming and it truly feels like a neighborhood store. As someone with social anxiety I am much more comfortable at this location and store than any others Ive been to and go out of my way an extra 10 minutes or so to come to this Stop & Shop.

Pharmacy Always on time

Great customer service and attitude in the floral department. The ladies there were busy but never made me feel rushed. Also waiting in line other customers where stoping by to say hi and give hugs and I heard an associate say to another, I love our customers. Being in customer service and training on it constantly, its nice to see a group that does it with such ease and grace. Thank you!

Store is clean, staff on the floor and deli are very nice and helpful. Only one oerson doing check out (personally not a fan If the self check out) left a line that was slow moving. Meat selection is weak with choices, especially in beef.

Good store and easily accessible from the Berlin Turnpike. They remodeled not long ago and provide good product. Prices are a bit on the high side but they do have good deals and savings occasionally.

Many of the employees are friendly and helpful but there are a good number of bad ones. Produce quality could use an improvement. Seafood dept is always friendly and helpful. Meat dept was helpful when we needed it once. We go because its convenient but i often think about traveling further away to another store that might be better.

Today to many people were walking the wrong way not following arrows. I almost ran over a old couple 2 times. They were walking up where they should be walking down.

The robots annoying, prices are high, theyre constantly out of things I need, and they treat their customers like criminals with the aggressive self-checkouts and self-scan audits. Also the only grocery store Ive ever heard of that would rather shut down for weeks than pay a living wage. Ill drive a couple more minutes to Price Chopper where no ones ever accused me of being a thief and no one needs to go on strike.

They should have one entrance and one exit instead of having both at the same door.

Only 2nd time there but very impressed. I think I found a new grocery store. I found things I am used to eating but have not found since I moved here 4 months ago. Very clean and friendly

The store was packed, kids running around and not enough lines for checkout were open.

No real complaints expect one bit one. One person working deli sometimes is not nearly enough. Last visit I waited nearly 25 minutes to get a half pound of cheese and some pepperoni.

Everything I needed was here. Quick in and out!

The store is a beautiful store very clean, very good staff working there. One drawback this morning on November 26th was your having a sale on ground Hamburg and I was there at 10:30 a.m. and there was absolutely not one package in the case are in the back. I pretty much specifically went there for that sale. I talked to the Butcher and he said were waiting for the truck sorry sir. With a holiday just passed and a weekend, and having a super sale like that, should be alot more on hand for a Monday morning. Very disappointing. Other than that we like the store.

Like I said in my other review this is not my preferred Stop&Shop but the place is clean well stock with fruits and vegetables quite and respectable except for the few rude workers who think that they are there just to stand around would of gave it 5 stars but because of that worker who ignored me kept it at 4 still recommend it to anyone

Most employees are very friendly with a few exceptions. A suggestion might be that employees smoke in the back of the store? Not a very professional or hygienic look. Other than that I can usually find what I need here. Good place to shop overall.

August 2020: Carrot juice expired by 4 weeks is very unsafe, and it is dangerous to have it on the shelf!More or less a decent balance between quality, selection, and price. Availability of items is somewhat unpredictable, and often ground beef is very near its expiration date, while mushrooms have lately been withered and past expiration. Staff is mostly friendly and helpful.

Hate your stale lunch food. Big Y and Pricechoppers have great quick lunch food. This is where you should focus instead of having annoying inventory people in your aisles during high volume time. Stop and shop is sooooo poorly managed now. Put some great food in your lunch.bin.God, People are not going to buy stale gross food. We are not stupid.

ABSOLUTELY ridiculous for an enormous store to have one register open at 2 pm. No Express line.

My favorite store for Grass-fed Organic Milk! Also super pricing on fresh herbs ( not in plastic boxes), excellent fennel, etc. Also they carry a SUPERB Italian pasta called RUMMO. This pasta is very authentic, è molto buona! Hint: Add one more minute to timing on package for boiling time. Make sure water is salted and is boiling the whole time it is cooking. Thank STOP & Shop for carrying this excellent pasta. GRAZIE MILLE!Staff is super kind and helpful!
