I’m sure UHaul is a good place to rent trucks and such for moving however beware of having a hitch put on your car. After paying $125.00 to have a sport hitch put on my Nissan, it sound as if my car was falling apart. There was a loud vibration noise + sometimes a loud knocking.When I took it back in the next morning I was told that it was the exhaust vibrating on the hitch and nothing could be done. Thought I was going to have to take it off, but my dealership referred me to a place in the city needless to say I now have the peace and quite of my car and my hitch.

Clerk walked us through the process and got us in a truck an hour ahead of schedule. Very cordial and helpful!

Picked up rental van. No AC. They tried to fix it, said they had to tear out dash to do that. The owner said, I dont guarantee AC just trucks. He said it was in the contract. I asked him to show me he said he didnt have to. So, I asked for a discount, which would be fair. He said no. This owner has poor customer service. Rent somewhere else.

5 weeks ago we went in and ordered a hitch for our car. Set a tentative appointment for 2 weeks. The third week they called and it was finally in so set the appointment for 2 weeks to fit our schedule. Arrived at 10am for our 10:30 appointment. Checked in, no seating available so we sat in the car. At 11:30 we go back inside and there is seating. Guy comes in and calls someone on the phone, leaves a message that says the hitch is not in and they can’t install today. Wife asks if he just called her. Yes, he did. So, the hitch we ordered 5 weeks ago isn’t here and an hour and 10 minutes after our appointment, they call. While we are there! Canceled and not going back.

Have this storage for over a year now. Was 4 days late on payment of my storage. Made my storage payment 3 weeks later and my storage is still locked. Very frustrating.

I do not do poor service and rude behavior real well. Case in point. I called U-Haul in Norman yesterday to have a trailer hitch and light harness installed on our SUV. They gave us a 2:30 pm appointment today. We drop the SUV off w/o incident and was told it would be ready no later than 4:30. I asked that they call when ready. About 5:00 I had heard nothing so I called and was put on hold. 15 minutes later, I got in my car and drove to Norman, still on hold upon arrival. I walked in and there were 2 or 3 customers waiting and no one in the store. I am now on hold over 30 minutes. Help finally arrived and by the time I got waited on, I had been on hold 40 minutes. Lets just say that by that time, I had lost my usual cherub like demeanor. I asked the lady when my vehicle would be ready and was told 5 minutes. Then I showed her my phone and asked, Why in the world would you leave a customer on hold for 45 minutes? Weve been busy. Really? You leave a customer on hold 45 minutes because you were busy? Well about 15 minutes later, the SUV is ready. Sort of. We pay and walk out to get the vehicle and part of the rear bumper is missing. Of course when I go back in, they want me to go to the back of the line and wait. Not gonna happen. I believe the look in my eyes may have betrayed me and I went to their shop and found my bumper part. The young lady jumped up, ran out and found the necessary clips and immediately replaced the bumper cover. She was a very nice young lady and probably figured that I was about to twist off. Trust me, unless I need warranty work on this hitch, I wont go back.

They put all this charges on my card and we had the truck no more then 20mins and it dies on us and they say call road side but they don’t pick up.

My truck was confirmed for noon when I got their they only HAD ONE truck! Which wasnt due back until 2! Put us 2hrs behind schedule! Then when we turned in our truck they sent the Thankyou email to me BUT with someone elses name on it! This site is the epitome if incompetence. Will Never use this location again and will warn my friends that all they can expect is an apathetic I dont know what happened smh

Been on hold for 30 minutes for two questions starting to re-think this

Rented a truck 2 WEEKS ago. Paid for the service at that time based on anticipated usage. Today my bank account was charged again for what they could take. I went to the location I originally rented the truck from because you cant call (it goes to a call center).When I arrived to speak to the manager he informed me that we still owe 60 bucks. Making the grand total of an in town move $115!!!!

I wish I could give zero stars. If you’ve never had roaches and want them this is the place for you! I pride myself on how clean I keep my house I don’t even get ants and yet a rent a cargo trailer from here and see roaches crawling all over my furniture including my one year olds crib they were rude when I called and the manager said the best he would do was give us a new trailer. When we got here the guy was smoking in the old trailer so now our things also smell like cigarettes. We weren’t offered a refund or even an upgrade and the people here were rude as hell 10/10 would NEVER recommend

Entrance on the west side has a sharp hump in it. Is that not fixable? You think they can fix that so that their customers cars dont scrape the bottom. Not everyone is driving a truck into the center.

Sitting over 2 hours to have a hitch installed with at least 5 people on staff only like 5 customers have come in and out in the whole 2 hours and they where only in the store less then 5 min. I decided to pay someone to do it for me cause I figured it would be faster.... I was wrong I could of installed it in 30 to 45 min by myself with hand tools. Had update before I even leave I have to take my 5 yr old son into the restroom and its filthy... toilet is disgusting poop all over the seat and dried urine all over the sides. Obviously its been like this for awhile. Wash our hands and no paper towels... they havent been busy all day Ive been here over 2 hours. This used to be good location.... this is what happens when you replace the old timers with young kids that dont care.

Made a reservation for a truck on the 27th for the 30th....was sent a text message to call about my reservation at 3:15 on the 29th to be told that my truck would not be available at my location...ok fine...that I would not only have to drive to another town...but that it also wouldnt be available until 530pm instead of the original 930 am....how am I supposed to plan a move when the truck company cant keep their word

Very quick and easy process to rent and pickup a truck and after hours process of returning the vehicle was also seamless. I was worried about being billed for gas because it wasnt quite a full tank like they thought and gas gauge wasnt working properly but price was exactly what I had estimated it would be thanks!

Fast and simple! All I had to do was drive up and they took care of taking the I haul off! 😺

We have a large storage locker here for our business. They have pickup trucks, box trucks and trailers to rent. The staff are friendly and helpful. The vehicles are clean when rented and maintained. Pricing is reasonable. They also sell propane.

Customer service is terrible. Stood in line for 15 minutes with 3 employees behind the counter and no other customers in the store.

I cant say enough how awesome the staff is at this location. They are very smart at what they do. I needed a trailer hitch wiring for my truck. Ford wanted to charge me $180 for the parts alone. I was in and out of this store in minutes and the part was only $30.. Thank you very much uhaul Norman. I appreciate you.

Terrible service. Try to do business elsewhere. We rented a truck two weeks in advance. The day before we were to pick up the truck the Lindsey St. office called to say they would not have a truck available for us and we would have to drive to Midwest City, OK to obtain one (34 minutes away). We picked up the truck but did not receive our boxes, tape or moving blankets. We called the Lindsey St. U-Haul office to tell them we were shorted the material and they said we would have to drive back to Midwest City to correct the error. Unpleasant experience. The truck ran well though.

My daughter rented a trailer from U-Haul. She was going to pick it up in Norman. Tow it to Dallas, then turn around and drive it back in one day. They decided to pick up the trailer in Dallas, thinking it would save money going one way. She called and said it would be no problem and that it should be the same price. NOT !! They didnt tell her until she was back that the price almost was doubled. Called corporate and they said they would take care of the problem. NOT !! Told her if she didnt get it back by 5:00 she would pay another day and she still had to pay the doubled price. They knew what she was fixing to do by going the one-way route and they still scammed her. U-Haul is just a big MAFIA scam artist company. What a shame they are even allowed to stay open.

Not for the Uhaul, but specifically the guy who helped us out this morning. He was left alone when theyre supposed to have 3 employees with a manager on duty. Im Not going to lie, we ran into issues, but even being the only guy there, Jimmy (I think?), Remained professional, helped in the 2 other people who were there too, and got us taken care of to the best of his ability. We did have to go elsewhere for a wire issue (on our vehicle, not theirs) because, as i said, they were severely understaffed. he got paper work filled out and explained everything going on with the trailer we rented.

I reserved a 17 foot truck and an appliance dolly, I got a 15 ft truck and no dolly. I estimated 50 miles to be on the safe side and was entered in for 30, so I had to pay for over mileage. And they didnt even apologize for the misunderstanding.

I wouldnt call it disliking this place but mainly the people here are indifferent to their customers, dont smile, and their service is at the level of what must be done to meet minimal satisfaction. Their prices are a little high, in my opinion, and they certainly dont seem to care about anything other then you brining their vehicle back on time with a full tank of gas. Its just my personal experience, but Ive used this place several times over the years and never been too impressed.

*Only giving 1 star because I could not give zero and post it*This has been the worst experience I have had with a storage company.I ordered a unit on the U-Haul website and completed the move in process online and signed the contract online so I did not have to go into the office. I went in the next day to use my unit and found the U-Haul lock was still on the unit. This was after hours so I could not go into the office to ask someone to remove it. I called the number and waited 15 mins to reach someone on the phone at 8 o’clock at night, which is ridiculous to wait that long. The person then never apologized that my unit was not unlocked for me, asked for my information, and said they would contact the store to unlock it and have them call me to tell me when its open.I never received a call and went to check the next day to see if it was unlocked. I found it still locked but it was after hours again, so I called the next day (again it taking way too long to get someone on the phone) and they again took my information and said they would have the store unlock it. Again, no one apologizing for the inconvenience or the fact I am paying for a unit that I can’t access.Fast forward 4 days and the unit is still not unlocked. I left work early to make it before the office closed and told the workers in the office what happened. They also never apologized or seemed to really care that I have been paying for a unit for 5 days and called multiple times and it was still locked. They unlocked it for me after I gave them my information. Then to top it all off I load up my unit to find that my regular lock that has fit on every other storage unit I have had does not fit on their units (probably should let your customers know when they sign their contract so they can come prepared).I will probably be canceling my unit and moving elsewhere after this month I paid for is over because of this experience. I have dealt with many storage facilities and moving companies and have never had this bad of an experience.tl;drThe customer service is terrible.Good luck reaching them on the phone.You will pay for a unit you cant even get into.

I had them install my hitch on my car. The ppl at the desk was nice that s how they got 1 stars. The install was not satfictory and really poor work putting my car back together missing clips / broke clips and loose pieces. Plus they was supposed to put the curt hitch on it and they put the cheaper one called draw tite.

Like everybody else said, the customer service here is atrocious. I couldnt be more unimpressed with their efforts, and with the entire Uhaul brand as a whole. Trust me, if youre already dealing with the stress of moving, working with this franchise is the last thing you will want to do.

HORRIBLE customer service! Everyone from Crystal, the general manager to the girl who helped us hook up the trailer. Extremely rude and unhelpful. No apologies for inconveniencing me or finding a resolution to fix their mistake. Had to call the 1-800 number to finally get some help. Would never recommend this place even if it was the only option.

$19.95 use in town small uhaul truck turned into $67 truck for 4 hours. only went 27 miles and was allowed 10 miles. big rip off in town truck. USAA said they would cover rental truck, but UHAUL guy said they would not and low ball pressure us into getting the extra insurance. I would have liked the customer service guy walk with me around the truck and notate the body damage that was already on the truck. I did not want to be responsible for damage before. But no one came out and we were on a time crunch. i need my own truck ;(

We rented a car hauler in Arkansas and we specified the norman location as the drop off. Afterwards we decided that we needed to drop the jeep off in northwest OKC so we asked if it would be okay. The sales rep informed us that there could be a fee so we said thank you and hung up. Afterwards u-haul called us to let us know they were going to change our drop off point for us and asked where we would be. They did this without us asking them to. I found this to be very helpful and surprising that they decided to help us out. Thank you u-haul! 5+ stars for customer service!

It is a recurring theme here, HORRIBLE customer service. Probably one of the least friendly and rude people on the phone I have ever spoken too. If I didnt absolutely HAVE to have the trailer, there is no way in heck I rent from these people. If you are in a service business, you shouldnt have people that hate their lives so badly dealing with your customers. If you have ANY other alternative, USE IT!

Fast friendly service for all your moving and storage needs

Experience was a disaster! The person who checked the truck checked it in late and got the equipment returns wrong resulting in a huge surcharge. The general manager said she refunded me the extra charges but instead showed up on my credit card as another charge. Very unsatisfied and would not recommend.
