I have recently had my Subaru serviced at Ocala Subaru and have had an overall good experience.The service was completed in a timely manor,but my only disappointment is the waiting area which is too small and lacks the amenities such as fresh Coffee and snacks and only has machine dispensed items{ the reason for 4 stars.}This dealership would do well to look at some of the other area dealerships and how they provide a more comfortable waiting area and amenities for their customers,not a deal breaker for me, just saying.All the staff I encountered during my wait were friendly and pleasant,although they seemed to be short staffed at the service intake,but who isnt these days. I would use Ocala Subaru again for my future service needs.
New to Ocala it was time to decide whether to lease again or purchase. I went to Ocala Subaru to review my options. I was greeted with smiles and a great team. We went to Ocala Subaru today for a routine service on our Outback. We couldnt be more pleased with the service. Watching all the workers during our relatively short wait was like watching a highly choreographed dance production. Nobody missed a beat. Even though this was late in the afternoon the energy level was as if everyone was just starting the day fresh! And they treated all of us customers as if we were their reason for getting up in the morning. An amazing group! We highly recommend them.

Everyone was courteous and knowledgeable. They did not waste our time and they listened to what we were seeking . It was quite hot but Tim was patient to spend time outside assisting us with questions about several cars. When inside we discussed used versus new and once we told him which car we decided on he took us back outside to see that particular car and make sure we understood everything about it before talking a deal. Jeff, one of the managers, didn’t waste our time but let us know what the dealership could do for us. This isn’t our first rodeo and it was refreshing not to go back-and-forth several times to get a reasonable deal. Gary in finance was very straightforward and transparent. He made sure we understood all the figures and how they were achieved. He took his time and answered several questions without us feeling pressured or hurried. We will definitely recommend them.

My first oil change on my 2019 Outback 2.5i. No charge! Gail was my service advisor. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Cliff, my mechanic, must think he’s on a pit crew. He had my car done in 45 minutes. That also included tire rotation, 32 point inspection, and detailing the vehicle! Amazing! Ocala Subaru always gives me world class customer service!
Our salesperson, Gregg Carlew, was patient, warm, and charming. Very low pressure. His knowledge of the automobile was extensive and he patiently went over the most mundane of features on the automobile with us. Gregg was also very prompt in meeting the appointment times and did not drag on with the sales talk. In addition, Gregg has been accessible when we had questions or concerns.Buyers should bear in mind that this dealership does not accept credit card payments over a $2,000 limit.
Worst dealership I have ever had the experience dealing with. The salesman I spoke with over the phone was not professional at all. He was condescending and very arrogant and I could not negotiate with him. I forget his name. But I would tell anyone if he is a reflection of the businesses professionalism than I would say avoid buying a car there.

I went to this dealership just to look. At first, I had my guard up as other car dealerships, in the past, (not Subaru) came at me with the attitude of women dont understand nor have the knowledge of how the process works. I can honestly say, this does NOT occur at this dealership. The salesman I worked with was Scott. He is very knowledgable and took the time to answer every question I had. In addition, he went out of his way to assist and make things comfortable for my handicapped mother. Wonderful experience, before saying a word about the genius who helped me getting this 2021 Subaru Outback, wanted to give a warning to the customers, if you are not ready to get attracted to the most non pushy crew you must have a strong mind, and teach your brain to ignore the reality, you won’t even know your mind is blown by their approach towards you as a customer and I did not even know when my mind fixed to purchase the car from them. Word of truth, Greg (watch this name) the most genius car salesman I talked to in my lifetime, Myself a Jeep person, watch and read reviews of every company other than Subaru, not planning to even sit in one, Greg outsmarted my brain in a nice way, explained the car’s anatomy and physiology like a professor. I don’t know the name of the finance manager, another genius who is the person who helped with the final registration and paperwork’s, didn’t pushed to buy any extras, Never had such a smooth experience in buying a car. Greg and team, you all are awesome, and the lady staff called and made sure I like my car, and the manager who called me to collect the second key. Love this Subaru of Ocala, can recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat. And yeah “Watch for Greg” or you will be driving a Subaru or Volvo home 😂😂.
This is the worst dealership that I have EVER been to. So unprofessional, went for a test drive and she had me stop at the gas station to fill up the tank! We went in telling them what our price range was and they continued to show us cars that were completely out of our budget! After wasting so much time in this place, we leave and go to our car, where we are followed out and approached by a new guy! He can suddenly offer us all of these deals that were previously impossible. This place is a sham and these people are con artists. Our salesperson also didnt know the first thing about these cars, giving us incorrect information and was unable to work their own system. Never again would I go here.
Gregory, our sale professional, really went well above to ensure that our buying experience went smoothly. He provided great instructions with our new Forester. Chris, sale manager step up and found the exact trim level we wanted. We only wish is financial processing could have been more streamlined. This the second Subaru we leased this dealership.
If I could give negative stars I would they have had my car for 7 months months they have been telling me that have been working on it and co.e to find out today they have not even started on the car. The people there lie with ease over and over and I will NEVER buy or recommend a Subaru to anyone I know in fact I will do my best to steer everyone away from Subaru....

Came in on an internet advertised vehicle for my son at $4844. Next thing you know it was over $8000 with reconditioning fees and dealership fees. Salesperson tried everything to talk me out of buying the car upfront when we first arrived.
After searching for 6 months for a new to me truck, Ocala Subaru had what I wanted. Take my advice, use them and Mr. Mike Simpson. Very helpful and friendly.
Bait and switch. Went and looked at a vehicle this morning. Test drove the vehicle thats listed for $2985. On the test drive the salesman said they just got the vehicle in and havent done anything to it. We were paying cash. Sat down with the finance manager who gave us a breakdown with accessories listed for $1,495. We already said we didnt want them to do anything except detail it. Nothing else. He explained this fee as a dealer fee and said that lojack was already installed. What a joke. We were already told there was nothing done to it.
Great salesmen, Michael Simpson was very polite and professional. We didnt get the price we were hoping for but it was close. No pressure sales. Everything went smoothly no problems, very happy with the car we purchased.

I am very happy with my purchase from Ocala Subaru. Everyone was very helpful & patient with me and my husband through the car shopping experience. We were interested in a specific Subaru Ascent which had just been sent to another dealer for viewing. They told me that they would keep me updated as they get more information. In the meantime, our Sales rep, Greg took us for a spin in a similar model with the same features. Not only did he let us test drive the vehicle he educated us on the safety features and technology within the vehicle. Being parents are always on the go and love road trips was appreciated. Greg then took the time to patiently explain to us what the trade-in process was and the options available to us. We left that day with peace being able to talk through the numbers while waiting for the vehicle to arrive.During the week he maintained open communication and even informed me of a slight delay in arrival. We live a few hours away so we wanted to get as much of the paperwork done as possible before arriving. Greg then had Wayne jump in on his days off to make sure we were able to get everything taken care of without any delays. Wayne was just as wonderful as Greg. He was fully transparent with me and made sure to educate us without being pushy or rushing us.Wayne and Jim helped me and my husband fill out the paper work. There was a slight delay with the paper work but Jim made sure to apologize and got everything else wrapped up within 20 minutes. Before taking off Wayne did a walk through of the vehicle with me and taught me how to connect my Bluetooth and other technology features. Overall I have purchased at other dealers but I have to say I was very pleased with the entire team. We are happy customers. Thank you to Greg, Wayne and Jim for helping us find my dream car!
We didn’t come in expecting to buy a vehicle but the Ocala Subaru team and environment gave us a deal we just couldn’t pass up. Our sales agent Matt was very helpful and knowledgeable about the vehicles and was very patient and answered all our questions with ease. We test drove the same vehicle twice and Matt was a great sport, never once seeming irritated or annoyed like some sales people can be. Pretty disappointed with the service team honestly. The repairs were easy and I appreciate the effort they made to get me on the road. Had to leave my car over the weekend and one of there staff left my car unlocked (they claim they didn’t) and about $500 worth of items were stolen from my car. When asked what they would do the service manger informed me of there no fault clause and made a small attempt by looking for my items in the shop but to no avail. I wasn’t offered any sort of compensation or complimentary anything for the theft happening on there watch and that’s just insulting. If you have a service done here please take all valuable items out of your car as they have no security cameras and no care as to what happens to your items when you leave the car with them.
Not willing to go the extra mile to earn a customer. Was not impressed and hope I do not have to go back. I was trying to transfer a service and maintenance agreement because I bought and drive a Subaru that was purchased from a Chevrolet place with a nationwide maintenance under that dealers name. I was told by that place that it could transfer anywhere. Because I moved, I wanted to find a service department close to me. First of all, they never called me back after I called a week ago. So I drove there today and did not get a lot of information as they first of all had NO clue after I showed them my paperwork, and NEVER bothered to call the dealership that I bought it from a little over a year ago, even after I told him that they were willing to explain it. They were only fixated on that it was bought from a Chevrolet place. I hope they are more helpful with other people!

Greg went above and beyond in every way possible to make sure we got what we needed and wanted. Greg made us feel comfortable, heard and cared for. He showed my wife everything about her new car and invited her back in 2 weeks for a follow up appointment to go over all the bells and whistles again. Not only did Greg take good care of us, but he also gave us a fair deal. I won’t buy another Subaru from anyone else. I was shopping online where the car I was interested in was listed for what looked like a good price. I asked the internet sales person for their best deal and he came back with a price over $4,000 higher than what was posted claiming accessories and also added exorbitant dealer fees. Very disappointing!

I am on my fifth Subaru and this is the first time during my entire adult life that I dont use a Subaru dealership for repairs to my Forester. This service department is a total rip-off operation. They tried to charge me over $1200.00 to replace a wheel bearing. I was able to get the job done in Belleview for $800.00. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because they sold me a pre-owned Subaru and I havent had any problems with it (other than the price, which they jacked up needlessly). Subaru needs to commission a new dealership in the Ocala area that doesnt try to rip-off customers. One of the biggest reasons I buy Subaru is for the service department and this place is giving the Subaru brand a bad name.

Our visit to Ocala V/S dealership on Saturday, February 13th was a pleasant event. It was easy to look at the new vehicles. They were all unlocked and nicely spaced. After spending some time looking we went inside to ask some questions, we met Wayne Harris. He answered our questions and showed us many of the features of the Forester, Limited. Wayne encouraged us to take a test drive which we did and felt very comfortable driving the Forester. After Mary and i decided to buy. There was not a Forester with our preference of color. They quickly located one and had it ready for us on Monday morning. Sad excuse for a Suburu dealer. No wonder Suburu wants to take away your certification. Three weeks out to schedule an oil change. Arrive on time. Mechanic was late. Hour and a half later, finally done. Detail guy didnt show so no car wash as promised. Wont be going here anymore. Would rather drive to Gainesville and visit a real Suburu dealership.

Got and appointment for a passenger airbag recall, for May 21@ 8am. At 9:38, an hour and say 10 after my car was driven to the back, they tell me the technician called out and would like me to reschedule. I call back to reschedule and they give me June 29. This is my only car so I guess I will hope and pray it doesn’t malfunction til then. Who is responsible if it does go off and I get injured??

The team at Subaru Ocala are very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. They valued our trade in fairly. We did not care for the accessories being charged back to the buyer. Nitrogen tires, pin stripe on side of vehicle, cost to certify as pre-owned. Those are gimics costs they would not budge on when negotiating. Thats our reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, it was a positive experience and probably one of our best when it comes to car buying.
I needed my car to be serviced and was told the next available time for an appointment was one month away, then one week before my scheduled appointment I called to confirm and ask the diagnosis price but they had no record of my appointment. Glad I found parts and comparable service elsewhere. Even the parts department was of minimal help In finding me replacement parts. Very poor customer service.
I looked at some trucks there at Ocala Subaru and had Chris assisting me. Even though I ended up keeping the truck I currently own now, Chris did an excellent job helping and directing me with all my needs! Had a very positive experience buying our 2019 Crosstrek from them! We worked with Wayne who answered our questions and provided best price and trade in via email. Once we were on site, we completed the vehicle inspection and test drive and everything checked out as advertised. All paperwork for financing matched what was promised and no pressure for adding any extras was applied. Overalls positive experience, Wayne was great and Dave was very helpful with completing all paperwork for final sale and financing. Process was quick, efficient and went very smooth. Ocala Subaru had a large inventory of new vehicles. We were greeted by Matt Schein, our sales consultant. He was very professional and knowledgeable about in his field. He answered all of our questions without hesitation. Thanks to Matt and Jeff(sales manager) we were able to drive our new Subaru Forester Limited home that same day.We absolutely love the safety features and handling of our new Forester!
All but one mechanic have quit here. I am told that they would rather collect too much unemployment than work as mechaics. Why not? Uncle Joe pays quite well.

I walked into Ocala Subaru looking for a New car. I asked for a salesperson. Gregory Carlew came over and introduced himself to me . He got an idea of what I was looking for in a car. I had never bought a Subaru before. His knowledge of the car was exactly what I was looking for. He answered every question. The test drive of the Legacy was relaxing. I was moving from a crossover to a sedan. His professionalism, listening skills, and knowledge of the vehicle were what sold me on Subaru. Thank you Greg. I just got back from Subaru Ocala, I went from Gainesville to buy a pickup truck for my son. I have been looking for a couple months and saw a seemingly good deal they had posted online. I inquired and got a reply stating the truck was available. We discussed a few details, mainly the price, and that I would be coming from Gainesville with intent to buy after looking at it. Bottom line the truck posted for under $12,000 was going to cost an extra $1600 for tax tag and title (which is understandable) and $4500.00 IN ADDITIONAL BS DEALERS FEES ON TOP OF THE $1600. MORE THAN 1/3 EXTRA THAN THE ADVERTISED PRICE. $18,000.00 OUT THE DOOR. Total rip-off.
