This place is great! The people are so nice and you can see their availability for appointments and schedule an appointment right online. I scheduled my appointment for the very next day even though they were closed.

Arrived back around 5:30 and Glenn helped me out. Glasses were ready and he fitted them to me and bingo I was on my way out the door with two new pair of glasses...regular and sunglasses. Great service when you get there. But, once they have your money, the quality of service drops. Do not expect glasses that same day. It took me 25 days to get my glasses. Of course they passed blame on to others. There are better places out there.

I see everyone talking smack about eyeglass world but I went in for the 2 for 78 deal because I have single vision and I didn’t get the add on options because I couldn’t afford it but I added the 1 year warranty for 40 dollars which to me is worth it .. I walked out the door same day with them and paid just under 200 with the exam included which is a great deal to me because I don’t have insurance and I needed glasses for the last 6 years but couldn’t get any because I couldn’t afford it … I just want to say thank you to EyeGlass world because of you I can see finally and I’m grateful!!!!

Id give them negative stars if I could. If you go here for an eye exam, they refuse to give you part of your prescription. This is a way to force you to purchase glasses from them. Or as the manager Diane suggested, you can just measure your own Dist. PD because there are plenty of instructions online. Unethical & unprofessional. The manager, Diane, is rude and has terrible customer service skills. At this time, they are also withholding part of my medical record, unless I come take a picture with my cellphone. Again unethical & unprofessional. They will be reported to the Florida Health Department and the Better Business Bureau.

They raised my prescription by 1.0 even though it hadn’t changed in over 6 years. Went to another optometrist and as I suspected no change. I had been using Acuvue for 10 years, they wrote a prescription for Alcon which stuck to my eyes! Changed my daughters script by 100% to -8.0, the other optometrist had her at -5! This place is horrible!

A total life saver!!! I ordered a pair of glasses from another provider and the prescription came back wrong. I returned them to have the prescription remade, and after waiting 6 weeks, my old pair broke. In the verge of panicking (because I had a speech scheduled for the next day in front of 300 people) I came to Eyeglass World and in less than 30 min I walked out with my old prescription in a new frame!

Front desk lady was friendly and helpful.The doctor answered all of my questions. Good exam.Lady who helped me pick out glasses was so helpful. She spent a lot of time with me making sure I had the correct frames for my face.The man who fitted glasses did a good job.Everyone was kind and professional.

The ladies in the Optometry area are very sweet and helpful. They make you comfortable and are funny. The Dr. is very nice and gives good info about your sight and answers questions well. The people working with the glasses are all very nice. The tall bald guy (Im sorry that I didnt catch your name) is very nice. As is the lady with short, blonde curly hair who works at the first desk. Unfortunately, you can always remember the ones who arent so great and that would be a female named Barbara who is passively rude and did little more than vex me for bringing my glasses back because I wasnt happy with the end result. Finally in frustration, I told her to forget it. Even though I allegedly have 30 days to change things, I was treated like I was simple minded and was making a ridiculous allegation regarding my glasses. So I will, instead, go online to Zenni and purchase a new pair of glasses. Overall, the service is good and the prices are reasonable. But be VERY CERTAIN that you are 100% happy with your glasses when you pick them up because if you bring them back, you may get a Barbara who will make you feel foolish for trying to exercise the 30 day policy.

Gotten help from a lady. Her name start with an M. She was very helpful both times. I had to get my glasses and also my sunglasses. She took care of me even when they were getting busy. Took her time.

Frames for $99 are not as solid as a pair of $19.99 Foster Grants. The exam was excellent and the prescription seems correct. The sales rep was helpful and courteous bit did not give any individual prices as we added the no line bifocals. Four hundred plus for two low quality pairs of glasses. No way. Stripped down to acceptable basic minimum.Lens work is inferior. One pair vision is different than other pair. They do not match. Warped bifocal area unacceptable. I have had many pairs of glasses in 29 yrs, none this badly made.Will not use Eyeglass World again.

My Granddaughters glasses were chewed up by a dog. She has to have them for driving and work, as well as school work. We drove from Palatka to the Orange Park location with her prescription. They were very busy with other orders and the very nice associate told us that it could possibly take 2 days for her glasses due to being so busy. I explained our urgency to her. She spoke to the person who makes the glasses. Upon coming back to us, told us that they were going to work on them right away and call us as soon as they were complete. We left and went shopping. About 2 hours later we received the call that her order was complete. What a blessing this was. She has to have them as she cant see up close without them. Thank you so much Orange Park Eyeglass World. I have already recommended you to several people and will continue to do so.

The Dr. was very nice and very professional.The staff were friendly and honest. There was a mask requirement and baskets for frames you tried and didnt want so they could be cleaned.They didnt try to sell me on things I didnt want or need. It was an all around good experience

This store went above and beyond for my family from out of state while they were visiting. Poseidon decided to rip the eyes from my brother’s face while we challenged his wave making abilities in the Atlantic. Their lab was closed today, their machine was temporarily inoperable, and the ladies working here went all over Jax to get these specs for my brother so he could see and we would stop making blind jokes (he only had a backup script sunglasses with him, think three blind mice meets Ray Charles). To keep this from going in the wrong direction, I will end with this; I would definitely recommend! Shout out to Glenn, Barbara, and Amber!!!! Thank y’all so much!!!!!

Was told 2 to 3 days maximum possibly even same day when I checked in. Then AFTER I had paid they told me 7 to 10 days. Then after waiting 7 days and inquiring further was told 2 to 3 weeks.All with different excuses.I still do not have my glasses that I clearly stated were an emergency at time of check in.Revised....they did provide me with a pair of loaner glasses close to my prescription yesterday afternoon so getting better although still have a long wait I fear for the two pair I paid for.

Made a appointment for contacts luckily i asked about the cost of the appointment and found out a contact lens exam would cost 140 to 160. Cancelled appt and was seen right away by eye lab on blanding for $89.99. This place is very expensive. I would advise to shop around before visiting this place for eye care.

Absolutely horrible experience due to the poor customer service provided by Amber. Amber is by far the rudest person I have ever encountered in customer service. She had such a nasty attitude and was completely unhelpful. I will be alerting management at the store and contacting corporate to voice my concerns, because someone with such a horrible and condescending attitude should not be providing customer service to anyone. So disappointed that Eyeglass World would hire such a rude employee, who also happens to be the assistant manager. Definitely will not be returning, and would not recommend this store to anyone due to Amber and her poor attitude. If you wish to be spoken to with respect, do not go to Eyeglass World by Walmart.

Extremely expensive and rude each time Ive visited. Once, they tried to charge me $400 for a pair of readers I could have bought at the Dollar tree. Our daughter is 17 and they didnt realize this until half way through her exam where they stopped the examination because a guardian wasnt present. Although this is understandable, she got as far as the eye dilation before they noticed or anyone was informed of the status of her age with no parental consent. The only educated member of the group is the optometrist. The other folks are sales people who may as well be working at Wal-Mart optical next door.

I had an amazing experience at this location. The Dr. Was very professional and informative. Mrs. Patty was the best part of my trip. Shes such a kind hearted person and genuinely had me cracking up. Thank you for all the help in my transition into wearing contact lenses. I also got my glasses fixed without even having to ask. Highly recommend!

Having no insurance is stressful, but this location offered affordable options. I was coached on the benefits of blue light protection for work. Am looking forward to when my glasses for my day to day arrive :). Thank you for helping out! The contacts are also weightless. Very satisfied.

We went here because it was convenient and hoping to save a few bucks. Big mistake. I will say, the staff was always nice. The exams went well enough but initially they gave me the wrong glasses. 3 of the 4 members of my family that did have exams and subsequent glasses had to make several trips for re-exams and fittings. All of us finally gave up and reverted back to our old glasses. I feel like it was a total waste of time and money. I chalked it up to experience and decided to never go there again. The icing on the cake is 4 months later they sent me a new bill with no explanation. I called 4 times and left messages but no one called me back. I finally spoke to someone today but the explanation didnt make sense since we all had the same services but the bill was only for one of us.I paid the bill just to get it over with.Now, 4 months later and 8 months after the original date of service I received yet 2 more bills with no explanation. I called to understand why they think I still owe them money. The rep was very nice and explained I should disregard the bills and that I would actually be receiving a refund on the bill I paid 4 months ago. I guess Ill believe it when I see a check.Bottom line, my insurance company paid the claim in the same month the bad service was provided. I dont understand why 4 and then 8 months later they still dont have my account in order.I switched from Pearle Vision in order to save a few bucks. That was a mistake. If the Eyeglass World service was free, its still not worth the hassle.

The best place to go for glasses. They have a great selection of frames and a warranty that cant be beat. The staff is always helpful, I wont go any other place to get my sons glasses.

I am new to the whole glasses thing. I went in for some new frames and the lady told me about their 2 for $78 deal which I thought was really good. Well when I sat down with another lady who finished helping me with the process, she was asking me if I want the transition lenses and of course I did. Well I wasnt told that they charge per lenses and NOT per pair! I was also not told ANY price until it was time to pay! So $208 later I was done and on my way. My experience was not the best and I will NOT be back! Ill take my business elsewhere from now on!

This place was outstanding with my eye exam as well as the knowledge of my glasses. I would give them a 5 but after spending $350.00 out of pocket ( thats not including insurance) they give me a clear plastic eye glass case. Really??

This store was the worst experience I have ever had . Bad doctor, Bad customer service I will never set foot in this store again. I left with progressive lenses and was given no instructions I fellAll this store cares about is the up sell. They don’t even deserve 1 star but you have to give them one to leave a comment.

Great staff, great selection, same day service. 80 bucks for two pairs if you don’t get any additional features. I always get anti reflective coating on all my glasses. They also have transitions photochromic lenses. It’s a teaser rate which is frustrating but if you. Need no frills this is a good place with an excellent deal. I’m all about the frills.

We have filled 1/2 a dozen prescriptions through them and every time I am impressed with their customer service and local business feel.They are great with my kids as well, and have fixed/repaired my youngest sons glasses numerous times on the spot, with no additional cost. We live on the other side of town and I will make the trip to come to them.

My step daughter needed new glasses and was well overdue for an eye exam. We walked in on Monday morning, they took us right back, and we had no appointment scheduled. Were self pay and walked out the SAME DAY with two pairs of glasses, one with transitions, and an eye exam for $300. We went to a competitor the year before, with insurance, and spent that, out of pocket, on one pair of glasses! They were awesome! Great customer service! No complaints to give! We will be back!

Worse doctors ever. I went there a little bit over two years ago I had a very good experience I live an hour away but I decided to go back there because I had a good experience and the customer service was great. This time was a different story first doctor got my prescription wrong and I could tell she was in a hurry went back today another doctor who was taking a nap when we got there seemed a bit aggravated that maybe he had to fix somebody elses screw up I dont know. He was also in a hurry and then they informed me they could only take back one pair of bad glasses at a time even though both glasses were made wrong due to the prescription issue. Both with the exact same problem. I live an hour away. I am still out of the fee for the eyeglass exam but at this point I really dont care I am not going to refer any more people there and my family will no longer go there.

Stepped on my glasses last night. Snapped both the arms off I went by eyeglass world after work where they told me that they would have my new set in a couple of minutes. This made my day and saved me from a day long headache. Fantastic people surpurb service and special thanks to the lens cutter for making me new lenses at the end of his shift!!

Very disappointed with the service I got here. I went this past Wednesday on 2/20 for an eye exam to get contact lenses. I had to take time off work to do so but that was fine since they promised same day service. I used my insurance and paid what was due to me for contact lenses. The doctor was nice but he wrote prescription out for glasses. All my paperwork I filled out clearly stated I was coming for contacts. The young lady running the desk went back to the doctor and claims had him change the prescription for contacts. She came back to area where I was watching the video for contact lenses and she states that the strength I need was actually not in stock and that it would be ordered and she would call me in a cpl days. Ok so fast forward 3 days . I have heard nothing from eyeglass world. Naturally I call the office to follow up and no one sees anything being ordered for me for contacts nor do they even see a prescription for contacts. The receptionist that handle me on the phone was rude seeming like she was annoyed with her job. saying there was nothing she could do now because the doctor that saw me was not there nor was the other girl that helped me and that I would have to wait till Monday. Mind you I have already paid for the contacts...just very unorganized the youn lady on Wednesday said I would have my contacts in a few days and the one that spoke to me now states its takes 2 weeks and that nothing was ordered for me. Its ridiculous and unprofessional not offer any immediate solution.

I had purchased a pair of glasses two years ago. They broke, what better place to see if they could be fix than the place I purchased them from. As I was talking to the woman with dark hair, a man with dark hair and dark glasses took her attention away by asking her if a water bottle with a yellow substance in it was her. She became less interested in me. She quickly said we cant fix them, gave the glasses back and her attention was back on the man and bottle. I was interested in purchasing another pair but her lack of interest drove me away. The store is the one on Blanking Blvd in the Walmart parking lot. There are better places to shop.

My mom can see clearly now that the rain is gone. She can see all obstacles in her way.

Sooooo disappointed by the service I recieved today. The doctor was very nice but the front desk lady was completely rude, slow, and seemed to not care about the customers at all. I had a 9 o clock appointment that ended up taking two hours because she was late to work and then spent most of the time talking or on her personal cell phone. Ive gone to this location for over 6 years and am sad so say I will never be going back.

Got glasses from here a year ago and they were great. Went in at 9:05 this morning and was the only customer in the store. I had to ask for every pair of glasses I wanted to try on to be unlocked. In between each one the lady sat down and acted as if I was a bother. If you want to shop like a criminal go here. If you want to browse and compare glasses find another place to shop.

The worst eye center in Orange Park!! Do not come!! The worst customer service! They’re several associates in the center but they hide in back and do not help. There’s always a long wait. They mess up your pricing with insurance. This place is a complete mess and has brought so much havoc in my family and I lives. We will never return!

I went in this evening after a horrible experience at Pearl Vision and encountered, Steve! What a wonderful person! He was very helpful and sympathetic to my situation. I actually went to Eyeglass World a year ago and purchased two pairs of glasses. I was never able to wear the glasses because the prescription was to strong. When I had called about this, the customer service person told me that I would have to pay for another eye exam and pay for my glasses to have new frames because it was over 90 days. I never went back. This evening I went in because I went for an eye exam at another business and I brought my glasses from Eyeglass World back to see how much it would cost to have the lens replaced. Steve helped make it all happen for me. I had a much better experience this go around. I was not planning on going back because I did not care for the Dr. on staff, Dr. Nichole Nruben, who seemed very unconcerned when speaking to her at my initial appointment and very put out by being there. I did call and ask to see another Dr. for my exam, but since Dr. Nruben was the only Dr. on staff, I chose to go elsewhere for my exam. Im glad I gave them a second chance and I appreciate Steve helping me get my glasses corrected.

I am a multiple repeat customer at this business. The staff goes above and beyond - - - every time. This is a place you can walk in and feel like the staff are your friends. I typically will order several pairs of glasses; Ill want one to go with me, have the frames fitted, and the rest mailed to me. UPS failed to carry through on their end this last time. I received multiple phone calls saying they were shipped, asking if they were delivered, follow-up on the problem - and one employee even stated if they were not there the next day he would remake the glasses and drive them to my house personally. This is customer service at its highest caliber. I am a customer for life.

Went to go get an eye exam and asked if i needed a parent/guardian present. Sierra, the worker, proceeded to say that i did not need a parent present. They took about an hour to get me to my pretest. The doctor came in and said how i needed a parent present due to me being underage. Also, during my entire visit, the workers would roll their eyes at me and were judgmental.

The receptionist was very friendly from the moment I called. I got there about 10 minutes early and since it was not busy I was seen immediately. The doctor was a little awkward (old guy) but it was cute and funny. They had a wide variety of glasses to choose from. I was using my insurance which gave me a $130 frame allowance and they had so many choices I had a hard time choosing but they allowed great. There was a little bit of a wait to see the second receptionist to purchase the frames and pick out my lenses but it wasnt anything terrible (i just know Im SUPER impatient). She was very friendly and knowledgable. Over all I had a great experience and I will definitely be going back!! I highly recommend them if you dont mind making the drive to Orange Park or if you live on the Westside already.

Was 12 mins late to my appointment. Blanding has a ton of traffic and there were ambulances that we had to pull over for as well...the woman cancelled my appt and said there is only a 10 mins window. So I missed it by 2 mins...drove from riverside and wasted a quarter of a tank of gas to be turned away. This is a bs policy . Your store is on of the busiest roads in Jacksonville Orange Park that always has traffic you should give your customers a bigger window than 10mins in case of traffic conditions when youre on Blanding boulevard. The only thing they offered me was another appointment for the same day 5 hours later because I really wanted to waste half a tank of gas back-and-forth driving to almost Middleburg.

I called and spoke to Steve because I had an emergency as my son boke his only pair of glasses, it was a Saturday and they were very busy at this location. The went above and beyond and got us in today, glasses made very quickly, good selection for the $78 deal and good quality. The customer service was excellent, professional and friendly, just made us feel welcome and as valued customers. Linda helped us when we picked up our glasses, again friendly, professional and above and beyond what we expected. This was our first time visiting Eyeglass World but not our last, we will be back. We have been customers of eyeglass world for about 5 years. Over the past year, the staff never remains the same. This most recent visit was the icing on the cake. I was told to change out my daughters replacement lenses would take 10 minutes, upon arriving I was told it would take 1 hour. After 10 minutes of arguing with Jennifer and Diane, and my daughters who is 8 and is in tears, we set down to wait..... and wait... not a sole in the store but employees... did Diane apologize for making my daughter cry for telling her she cant have her glasses for an hour? Hell no! For a little girl who needs glasses to see, and is dizzy without them, an hour is like an eternity. This is why I called to see her Lenses were ordered and they could switch them out in a timely fashion. From one parent to others... dont go here! I took one for the team and am looking for a new eyeglass shop!

My husband had a mishap where his glasses were completely destroyed and he did not have a back up pair.. He almost cant see at all without them. We rushed to his reregul eye Dr but the soonest they could get his glasses was 10 days.. I found this place and we went in immediately and right away we were treated so well.. Myra was SO sweet and went above and beyond to help us including calling the insureanc company to make sure things would be okay because of the other eye Dr. We got his glasses made and he could see within 4 hours!!! They are amazing there and I believe we will be moving our business there from now on. We cant thank them enough for helping give my husbands sight back so fast.Thank you EyeGlass World and thank you Mrya!!!

Wont be back upsale upsale upsale. Had my.82 year old mother take my.daughter for glasses a 2 pair deal at 78 bucks turned to 228 bucks and 10 day wait. Got my pairs there in 1 hour for 160 with progressive lenses. Lady I got on phone with and her nasty valley girl fake California accent was a real winner as well . Cant keep her story straight lost a whole houses business and my extended family enjoy 😉

This place made me out to be the bad guy from the start. I bought sun glasses from there and they looked like a 3D Movie. They said I had to get used to them then they got mad when I did not want them. after much back and forth someone else finally said let me look through them WOW I was right. So they fixed after a total of 3-4 weeks of waiting. Came back not perfect but they fixed the 3D issue which was 2 different tints on the sun glasses. I have no moved to texas and called to get my contact prescription. AND YOU GUESSED IT - They wont give it to me bc I moved and did not come in for my follow up. SO they get to steal my money from me. They did the exam for contacts and They wont refund my money and wont give me my prescription. I called there CORPORATE office out of GA. AND YEP - they said there is nothing we can do for you no money no contacts bc the doctor there is an Independent doctor. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR PAY MORE TO GO ELSE WHERE. THIS PLACE TO DESERVE TO SHUT DOWN

Could have been a little more organized. Went in and had to make appt with optometrist for another day. Came back for my appt and the assistant guy was training the whole time and my exam took way longer than any other exam Ive ever had. The bogo glasses are a good deal, but you have to pay extra for anything other than thick plastic frames. Ended up paying almost $200 for 2 pairs, when originally I had the goal to sticking as close to the $78 bogo advertisement I saw. Had to come back to have my contacts reevaluated in order to buy actual boxes of contacts. Girls at desk were gossiping and joking around and didnt even acknowledge myself or my husband when we walked in for my appt. They must have known my name and checked me in because the eye doctor came out for me. All in all I was not impressed with the end price for 2 pairs of glasses and 6mos of contacts for myself and my husband. This place literally maxed out my hsa card that was just reloaded the first of the year. I ended up spending almost double what I spent last year elsewhere self pay. We had a more positive and professional experience for half the price and will be returning to our previous optometrist next time. Also only needed one appt at competitor and was able to pick up everything 3 days later, instead of 3 different trips. Not horrible but not great here....

Waited 30+ mins to be helped, when a rep finally became available they skipped right over me to help someone who just walked in. Left after that
