This Kays Jewelers is the best Orland Square Mall is number one I would recommend them to anyone the service is great the people are great they take their time with you make sure you get whats best for you and dont try to push anything off on you to make a sale but they make sure youre happy with what you leave with and get what is to your liking and what you can afford. It is the best experience every time I go in and I always make this my place of choice to shop for jewelry. It is my number one home of jewelry Kays in Orland Square Mall.. ask for Josephine oh Suzanne or Jeff but all of the staff are great, you really can not go wrong with anyone of the staff members.
Jeff was thee BEST!! He went above and beyond to repair my necklace that I haven’t worn in years. He also cleaned my jewelry set without me even asking and his customer service was SUPERB!! Susan is an absolutely incredible woman, sales representative and manager. I have had several encounters with my ring not holding up to its quality and she has ALWAYS gone above and beyond to eliminate the stress and headache of repair and so forth. If it wasn’t for her, I would be doing business elsewhere.I highly and strongly recommend asking for her if you come across any issues what so ever. Went in to get a replacement wedding band for my husband, who had lost his. I was waited on by the manager Jeff. He was very helpful and friendly. I wanted a wedding band a little more durable than the last, and Jeff gave me a lot of great info that helped me make my selection. Would definitely recommend this location, and Jeff to all my friends and family.

I told my ring that I got for Christmas from my kids that they bought with their own money . No help from me or dad. They bought the plan so it can be size to me. When I went yesterday to drop it off and get my ringer size for it the lady said they may charge extra because of the size I need. I let her know my kids paid for the ring to be resized, she said will you may want to use the ring on another finger because they may charge plus this ring just cost the $24.95 plus the plan. I was looking at her, like really . I have shown my kids it doesn’t matter what you spend as long as it’s from your heart. She didn’t need to be little what my kids paid. They paid for the ring, necklace, and two protection plans on their own . I still sent the ring off, see if they can size to what I need. If not I will take it somewhere else. I’m not going to be spending my money their and tell my kids not to go back their.

I couldnt be more happier with the excellent service we recieved from the store manager Jeff. When we ran into a slight problem when I recieved my ring back from being sized from a different Kays, we turned to Orland Park Kays and Jeff helped save the day. Jeff was knowledgeable, professional, and I knew he could tell from talking with me for a few minutes, he knew my wedding set was very very important to me. They let me know as soon as it came back in from the shop and I was up the next day to pick it up. He even gave me my updated appraisal papers to turn into our insurance since we upgraded to. The staff at Kays are great, but we work with Jeff, his professional is above and beyond. He handles any situations we may have and correct them the same day. Hes one of the main factors for us to continue to come back here. He makes the experience great and is very knowledgeable about the products and deals. I wanted this ring for myself, but at the time it was priced to high for me. When it went on sale, he face me several options to purchase it, no pressure at all. And went through all of the scenarios and possible pitfalls, if any. Took his time and let me run the scenarios and ask questions.Thanks Jeff, Im wonderful for now, shouldnt need anything in the near future.
My Husband needed his Triton wedding band re-sized after a year of owning it. We purchased the band at another jeweler out of state and went to the Orland Mall Kay Jewelers to see if they could order the correct size band. Our initial experience was great, they honored the Triton warranty and ordered the ring in the correct size. Unfortunately when it arrived, it was the wrong style band and looked nothing like my Husbands original wedding ring. We were upset but understood that mistakes happen. Manager Jeff took it upon himself to contact Triton directly to make sure we got the correct wedding band in the right size. We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Jeff and the Kay Jewelers staff! Jeff went above and beyond to help us - keep in mind - we never even purchased the original band from Kay!! Thank you, Jeff! We will be customers for all our future jewelry needs!

I visited store #2808 on January 13th, 2018 to get my husband’s ring inspected as required by the warranty. A couple of ladies walked in behind me. A male employee told me that someone will be with me in just a minute; it’s first come first served. Since all the employees were busy assisting other customers, I nodded and patiently waited. One of the employees finished assisting a customer and without even acknowledging me went straight to her computer. She was on the computer for a few minutes and then started assisting the ladies who entered the store after me. When I voiced that I was here before them, I was told that they were here before me and had to leave the store to get something to eat. Now unless there is a “take a number” situation, sign-in sheet, or some other reservation system in place, I believe you lose priority when you step out of line (or the store, which is the case here). When I tried to explain that to them, I was yelled at by the same male employee who had mentioned the first come first served rule. He claimed to have plenty of common sense and didn’t need me to tell him that. He even asked me if it would make me feel better for them to have a sign in sheet, but what good would it do then. I was pulled away from the rude employee by a female employee who offered to clean my husband’s ring. She very patiently listened to me while cleaning the ring, but this group of employees do not know the meaning of first come first served. I am never returning to this store again (#2808). They also misspelled my name on the inspection receipt, even though the correct spelling was printed on the same receipt previously.

So today I went and took in my ring and necklace that Ive bought from kay and when I walked on I felt like the lady was judging me on how I looked and when I asked to have my jewelry cleaned she made the ring look more dirty. It has a cloudy effect on it and you can see the dirty because I do wear this ring everyday. She tells me to go to icing a little girls jewelry store in the mall and by 7 dollar cleaner. I spent how much money on my ring and necklace Im not going to put cheap product on my jewelry. She was very rude Im very disappointed because I do buy jewelry often from kay
My boyfriend bought me a promise ring from Kay about 4 years ago and I have had nothing but problems with it. The shank keeps breaking on it and every time I bring it in their to get fixed I get questioned as to whether or not I’m showering with it, sleeping with it on, or banging it, which i never do. I’m sorry but if someone spends a decent amount on a ring it shouldn’t continuously break whether you shower with it or sleep with it on. I’ve bought rings for much less than this cost and have had no problems with it whatsoever. Whenever I bring it in the employees are very rude. I dealt with the manager one time and he was very rude and basically called me a liar in so many words. I am not a criminal and do not expect to be treated like one, which is exactly what he was doing. I contacted corporate after that happened and have heard nothing back from them. Everyone that knows what’s going on with this ring will never do any business with Kay ever again. I just went back on May 30th because the main diamond in my ring was falling out. I get a call 2 days later saying that it was ready for pickup which immediately has me concerned. How could they fix a diamond in 2 days? I go to pick it up and they tell me that they couldn’t fix it so they replaced it and immediately following that statement the girl helping me says “please be careful next time” yes, I will be careful next time because I just love going around banging my ring on everything that I can possibly find because the ring means absolutely nothing to me.. the employees are just plain rude and if it wasn’t for my ring being under warranty there I would never spend a single cent at Kay again.

Out of all jewelry stores, Kay has been one of my favorites. I always though you got a great value for the price, and they offer a range of financial options. But Im starting to have my doubts in this store. Its a shame they dont provide the same lifetime warranty on mens rings (even though my husband does a very labor intensive rigorous job, where his ring is more likely to get damaged than mine). Either way, the problem I have with Kay is their customer service. The last 3 times Ive been to Kay to get my ring inspected, my engagement ring was under my husbands name, and the enhancers (to create the wedding ring) was under my name. Weve asked every single time to just put everything under one name. 2 times they said they did it, but last time I come back theyre questioning why the enhancers arent under my husbands name, its because they never changed it and its still under my name. I had to get my ring resized. Although they did an excellent job, apparently they didnt document the size they changed it to, so they expected me to remember on my last visit when my 10K Gold band got bent into an oblong shape. Why they need a ring size if theyre reshaping it, not resizing it, beats me. And how a 10K (which is supposed to be their strongest form of gold) can get bent like that is beyond me. I dont do manual labor, and I wasnt doing any heavy lifting that would cause that to misshapen. I was literally cooking breakfast in the morning and if anything it had to be my grip on the frying pan handle. Im wondering if they gave me a more malleable metal and etched 10k on it when it actually isnt. If thats the case my husbands ring with his labor intensive job should have bent worse than mine ages ago. I wonder if this ring is even worth the amount we paid for it. Also, the fact I have to wait 2 weeks to get it reshaped is a little aggravating. Im not usually an impatient person, but considering the money and insurance weve put into this ring it should be more prioritized. I know it doesnt take two weeks to reshape a ring, even if it is being sent out. Its just a shame Im locked into this lifetime warranty because I would honestly rather go somewhere else at this point.
Visited this location to have my ring resized on my service plan. After going back and forth with the older, short haired woman regarding the sizes, she laughed in my face and told me I had no idea what I was talking about when I asked her to size it a half size bigger than what fit me. I told her that is comfortable to me. She told me literally dont come back here complaining to me when youre not happy later. Such a terrible experience as a grown woman having someone heckle you and laugh in your face, very humiliating.

Horrible Experience! I walked into the store because my diamond fell off my engagement ring and I was hoping to get it fixed. I walked in and all the customer service reps were standing around talking amongst each other and didnt even acknowledge me. A woman sitting at her computer (I think it was the manager) finally noticed and asked the reps to help me. A woman approached me. She looked like she just woke up. Her hair was dirty and thrown up in a ponytail. She didnt represent Kays well at all. I said Hi, my rings diamond fell out and I was hoping to get it fixed and hoping to also know the approximate cost. The woman responded, Are you up to date on your inspections? I understand that is a good question to ask but I was hoping she would give me some sort of feeling of relief or hope that it could be fixed right off the bat before she started asking me questions about my account there. She got straight to business rather than building a relationship with me. She never smiled or made any effort to make me feel more at ease. After she found my account, she walked away with my ring without saying a WORD, picked up tweezers, sat down and starting writing things on a piece of paper. I was so confused. I had NO IDEA what she was doing with my engagement ring. Keep in mind, I STILL had not gotten any information about whether or not it could be fixed, or how much it may cost! (WHICH WAS MY ORIGINAL QUESTION my first 30 seconds in the store.) I finally walked over to her silent, hinting that I wanted an update. She finally looked up at me and said it will be ready in a month and it wouldnt cost anything. I had to ask her how I would be notified as she failed to tell me. I was furious when I finally left the store. When you are dealing with peoples prized possessions, you need to take a more caring approach! I was very disappointed with this store. I will never go back.

I sent my $5,500 Tolkowsky ring in for resizing. Only when I picked it up I noticed the male manager (63, white, blue eyes, short brown hair) marked the total value of my ring at $2,000 on the ticket. This is what Kay would pay if they lost or damaged the ring. I was concerned/curious so I mentioned its worth more than what he put and he immediately snapped and talked to me as if I was stupid. It was such a sudden change of tone so I asked him not to talk to me so rudely. He apologized in the same tone then walked away. It was so unnecessary to treat anyone like that so I got his attention and told him I understand ppl make mistakes (even tho I doubt he could be that far off from the ticket price) but his attitude is what will make me not do business with him again. He mumbles thanks for telling me as he turns away from me. Youll be able to find better customer service just about anywhere, stay clear if you want to be treated well.
