Sons car needed a water pump as well a thermostat, the dealer wanted $1900. The car is only worth $6000. So I started searching for BMW mechanic and stumbled upon German Auto Pros. Their reviews were great so I called spoke to Suzy and she was able to schedule me. Our car was repaired within 2 days and I was it also needed an oil change, they did the oil change and as well . So for a new water pump, thermostat and oil change for $1000 so I saved $1000. Thank you German auto Pros
Eternally grateful to German Auto Pros for fixing my Audi B8 A4 after the engine jumped time. I was initially quoted $5000 by one shop that said the pistons were damaged. German Auto Pros was not only able to do the work for a fraction of that quote but also identified that the pistons were fine and only a valve replacement was needed. Cary, the shop owner, and his team were all extremely friendly and helpful throughout the process, and It was easy to see that everyone in the shop has a true love for European cars and the community around them. Finding a good mechanic can be a tall order, I highly recommend GAP to anyone looking for a trustworthy, down-to-earth shop that cares about more than just running a business.
Headlight was out. They replaced it, let me know that it was a cover of some sort that was missing and allowing the elements into the headlight assembly. Cover is ordered from BMW, and Ill zip back over there In a few days when arrives. Total time there was maybe 40 minutes. Very smooth beginning to end.
Stumbled upon them when I was about to tune my vehicle but noticed my clutch slip. After discussing all my future plans with the vehicle they recommended a clutch. Once you enter the establishment you feel like you are right at home. They did such a good job I am letting Cary and his team finish up my winter mods this week. I can’t wait to get it back and know everything was installed correctly. I am also stopping up to order a couple more things tomorrow.
These guys always do exceptional work on my Audi. Got breaks done and they work. Done same day. I wasnt able to pick up right away and they easily accommodated and had me pay using PayPal. super easy, barely an inconvenience.
I highly recommend these guys I took my ‘14 Golf tdi to them in February for a heater core replacement it was quick and I haven’t had a problem since. Then in May I took in for a new transmission, new subframe and coilovers. They worked with me through all the issues I was having with my insurance company and still fixed my car.
Everyone from the office staff to the owner are super friendly and knowledgeable. I had recently purchased a new to me used S5 and the owner and mechanics took time to answer several of my questions and provide personal insight. Work was done quickly. Would definitely recommend.
Great service, reasonable prices too!
On the positive side, the owner and staff were friendly - hence the 2 stars. Also, and obviously, they are not a dealer, whose bad service and price gouging was the reason I sought out an independent shop in the first place. The reason for the 2 star review = JOY RIDES. If you drive by their shop, youll see plenty of entry level models and those with several miles on them. Makes sense these owners would like to spend less on repairs than their car is worth. Mine was just out of warranty, a supercharged model worth over $100k new. I took it to German Pros several times while I owned, it, and the work was done well and on time. However, during my second to last visit (oil change) I noticed the dash camera was unplugged. Then on my final visit a few weeks after that for brakes, I made a point of taking a picture of my dash with the mileage. When I picked it up the next day, again the dash camera was again unplugged, and the car had exactly 40 more miles on it.I understand the need to do a road test, but 40 miles and the unplugging of the dash camera for a brake job suggests my car was being used for other reasons. Was a worker driving it home? And if so, were they treating it well or driving like it was a rental car? With my camera disabled, I wont ever know.I never confronted the staff with this evidence and my concern, but I also never brought the car back to them either, and the loss of a trusted shop motivated me to trade my European car.If you have a nice or performance car and you take it there, please take the proper precautions. Writing down the incoming miles on the form you sign might be a good start, as this may prevent any motivations for the staff to use the car inappropriately. Maybe a GPS tracker hidden in the car if youre really concerned.
What a joke. Had an appointment 10am for an oil change/ Mercedes. Walked in 10am on the nose, no one at the counter. Some guy in the service area focused on his breakfast sandwich saw me through the door, hollered we are not open yet. Once I said it is 10am and I have an appointment he came over again hollered name, after saying my name he looked at the calender and said I only have 3 names in here, nothing more. I just walked out.
They installed a new turbo and wastegate into my car very quick and kept me in the loop through the whole process. 10/10
They did such a terrible job on my car I just paid them then took it to another shop, the other shop looked at the work and said “none of this is done right” and they gladly corrected the mistakes, my buddy had a car there and they messed his car up too I tried to warn him, everyone always talks about how this place bombs and if they think you don’t know anything about cars they will try to take advantage of that, all the 5 star reviews are people they probably chose to be cautious with while screwing everyone else over. DO NOT GO HERE ITS RUN BY A BUNCH OF GROWN CHILDREN. Every bad review I’ve read on here has a rude response by the shop either denying it’s there fault or just saying they’re reporting the review, they take no responsibility for their bad workUpdate: I keep checking on the reviews and read the other 1 Star reviews and see how the “owner” or whoever they have in charge of the review reply’s, just acting like a child, not owning up to their mistakes and just trying to shift blame elsewhere and claim, “ this isn’t our customer” this place is an absolute joke
Great place honest and fair im a client for life found them 2 yrs ago and I have been dealing with the pros every since
These guys are better than going to the dealership! I take pride in my vehicle and like doing stuff myself to save money. They were able to get me a quote on the timing belt over email and get me in a couple days later. They are also very knowledgeable about Volkswagens and gave me some great advice. I would definitely recommend them to take care of your German car (in fact they were able to diagnose the check engine light on my car, only took it to the dealership because it was covered under the emissions warranty, its been over 24 hours and the dealership is still trying to figure out what they figured out in a few hours). They treat you like a friend and have some of the best customer service I have experienced at a repair shop.
My family and I were extremely pleased with the help and service we received at German Auto Pros. We first met to diagnose my check engine light. They identified the problem as a faulty turbocharger that needed replacing. I/we chose them to do the work. We were glad we did! They were excellent mechanics that performed exceptional work. The car runs great. I/we would highly recommend them.
Insane pricing they gave me the best price and were super nice, will be bringing my car back every time i need work on my volkswagen
I could not be any happier with German Auto there first class customer service.
Excellent work, personable staff, and they dont try to add on all the unnecessary stuff the way dealership service departments do. These guys are half the reason I keep buying German cars. It isnt easy finding a repair shop you can trust to do great work and not clean out your wallet. My Audi just went out of warranty, so Ill be back soon!
I wanted to try something other than the dealer and was amazed by the service. Glad I brought our car in and will continue to service our VW here. Very honest and reasonable people here.
Great shop and great people. Very knowledgeable and great customer service. You can tell right off the bat they take pride in their work and service. 10 out of 10 would recommend this shop to anyone I know that drives a German car and needs some service. Great work guys!
When it seemed all hope was lost, and after trying two other shops and my own $500 diagnostic system, German Auto Pros saved the day. They threw the Hail Mary in the 4th quarter and got me back on the road. I have owned a dozen different German cars from Audis, BMW, and Mercedes and I will always bring my vehicles back to German Auto Pros when I need specialized service. These guys are real mechanics with a sincere concern for a problem and the desire to solve it. Guys, I seriously cannot thank you enough for fixing my Benz today. You will always have my business and I will recommend you for anything.
Highly recommended! German Auto Pros was very helpful in selecting new components for my Golf R to remedy a shifting issue I was having. They installed a new aftermarket clutch, downpipe, motor and trans mounts, and some other minor components. The work was done quickly and professionally, and they were very good with communication during the installation, even sending me photos of the work they were doing. Great pricing, wont hesitate to take my car back.
Great service and prices. Highly recommended. You can tell they are enthusiastic about German cars and keeping them on the road. Ive had my car serviced there a few times and always been pleased with the results and how they are open a little later. They have a key drop so you can leave the car there the night before. They communicate well too if they run into something unexpected.
The people are what make this place, have had my car serviced twice there. The second time was during exceptional circumstances and they accommodated me and more. Extremely professional and kind staff!
I used German Auto Pros to install a new clutch and fly wheel on my 2014 Audi S4. They did a great job, were extremely pleasant to deal with and did it for a very reasonable price. I will be coming back for any work that I cant do on jack stands!
Great service, great prices, great people!!
Cary is great. he was able to get my A4 performing like new again. Repairs were done correctly and properly. Many who own these cars know how complex they are to work on, German auto pros clearly states what is needed and the cost up front. Repairs and timing belt service were done correctly and professionally. They know alot about Audis! Friendly staff, knowledgeable as well.I would highly recommend anyone with an Audi/VW who needs service to come and see GAP. They will get your car running great again. If I ever need service again, I will be calling them no question about it!
I took my C300 in for service B, and communicated with them many times through Facebook messenger to finalize the details, pricing and additional services I wanted done. I couldnt possibly be more pleased! The pricing was extremely reasonable, and the work was of great quality and completed in timely manner. The staff was very friendly and professional as well! If your German vehicle is out of warranty, dont take it to the stealership, take it to German Auto Pros! Ill be back for sure!
Not quite sure why this place has such good reviews. Both times Ive brought my car here theyve had it for three weeks. The first time I let slide because of ordering parts and shipping delays due to that month we had pf awful weather. The second time though...I have no idea what went wrong.I called and scheduled my appointment to drop my car off a week out, which I did. I call after not hearing anything for a week and am told they think its a problem with the powering steering pump and will try fixing seals first. Cool. After another week of not hearing anything I call again to ask for an update and am told that the entire pump needs to be replaced and they would get pricing on it. After a THIRD week of not hearing anything I called back (today) asking for the price because no one got back to me. Im told the guy priced it out but he was on a test drive and could give it to me when he comes back. I ask if he had it why no one called me...they said I dont know. I was then told I could get the car if I wanted to because its drivable. Yes, I know its drivable. I wanted the problem fixed. I guess they didnt want the business or work? So Im going to go pick it up and take it elsewhere. Really glad my convertible spent the last weeks of summer sitting in Parma for nothing.
Nice staff. Upfront with pricing.
Dropped my car off they were so friendly and knowledgeable. Great people to talk to as well.
Cary The German Auto Pros team are simply the best. They took great care of my 2010 GTI and seem to know all kinds of German vehicles, new and old. This is a great small business that offers a service that in my opinion beats the stealerships by a mile. They work on stock and heavily modded vehicles alike; their lot is fun to checkout when dropping off or picking up. They also offer special COVID services like non contact drop off, payment and pickup. They have earned my business for life as far as I’m concerned, and I don’t live near by.
I cannot say enough good things about German Auto Pros. I called a few days ago about my husband’s Jetta and Susie was so nice and honest. She said there weren’t any openings Saturday but we could drop the car off and they might be able to look at it if there was a cancellation. We dropped it off early in the afternoon and Cary said he could look at it right away and it would take about an hour. We returned later and the hundreds of dollars we thought we would need to spend was an easy and cheap fix. Again, cannot say enough great things about this place. Honest, good people. We will definitely take our business here from now on.
They have it figured out...Great experience
Brought my M5 for some work. Really a great bunch of guys who did the work quickly and pricing was more than fair. Will be coming back for some drop in bmc filters next week!
I have been taking my car to German Auto Pros for a few years now. It started out with just oil changes, but now they have been doing all my repairs. They are super friendly, professional, and fast! Its a bit far from where I live, and taking it to the dealership would be much more convenient. However, I really trust them and prefer their service over my dealer! I should also mention that their prices are very fair and are much more affordable than other places. Im very happy!
My Mercedes Benz GL450 is serviced by German Auto Pros! SUPERB service and friendly staff! Reasonable prices! I take my GL to German Auto Pros for all repairs that are not dealership specific. I trust German Auto Pros to take care of my vehicle.
These people are amazing! Great service, courteous and caring. Rob and Cary made sure that I was taken care of when I had my vehicles aftermarket parts installed. Their service is skilled and fueled by their passion for these cars. I will be going back for more service for sure!
My only complaint is this shop isnt in Chicago. They performed a fantastic pre-purchase inspection for me, provided pictures and turned it all around on a short timeline. If I ever have the chance to use German Auto Pros again, I will. And you should too.
Sometimes you almost forget what a business should be ran like. German Auto was a positive reminder for me. There was good customer service etiquette, smiling faces, and a customer friendly atomoshpere. The price that had been quoted to me before service was the same exact price that I paid after the service was complete. Thank you German Auto😊. An “ Amazing Job” you’ve done ✅~ Ms. Davis
Phenomenal service. Any negative reviews are totally bogus because these guys are the best! Very knowledgeable, down to earth, and personable. Their prices are beyond fair as well. If you have a German car and live anywhere in the vicinity, you are doing yourself a disservice taking your car anywhere else.Edit: Years of servicing my S4 later these guys continue to go above and beyond!
Stopped in to talk about my check engine light coming on in my Volkswagen CC. I talked with Dan who offered to hook up the car to the VW diagnostics machine. I had explained that a car part store indicated it may be a cam shaft sensor and that the car was misfiring upon acceleration. His diagnostic came up with no major flaws, but he did ask what type of gas I was using. Told him it was probably 87 octane. He indicated that may be the problem since a CC engine needs higher 93 octane to perform at a high level. He recommended a gas treatment and a fill up with 93 Octane. I took his guidance and did what I was told and now car run smooth as ever!! Thank you Dan, you were awesome. You saved me a lot of time and money! The Dealership was going to charge me $117 just to run a diagnostic! You guys have earned my business going forward. Thank you!
Cary and the guys at German Auto Pros always take great care of me when I bring my Audi in for service. The prices and speed of service cant be beat. These guys drive the same cars they work on and their knowledge is second to none. I usually do my own work, but when my car needs something beyond my capabilities, this is the only shop I trust. A shop by and for enthusiasts.
I brought my car in because it had bad bearings and some kind of a rumbling noise. They promised me that they’ll fix it. At one point I even got an update that they have found the reason for the rumbling under the hood and also that they will get rid of it. When it can time to pick it up, the noise was even worse, the Check Engine light came on, which wasn’t on when I dropped it off and the vehicle started to malfunction greatly. I can barely drive it because it’s in such bad condition. As I was picking up the vehicle, I asked the owner why they said they fixed the issue but the issue in question got even worse... he told me that they fixed what they pulled codes for not what I asked them to fix?... what?!! How does that make any sense.... they “fixed” a cracked manifold. If only I had the info I have now, I would’ve known to take the car from them right away. There was no crack in the manifold. A crack in a manifold causes huge vacuum issues, which I didn’t have cause the engine light wasn’t even on! All in all, never go to these guys. SCAMMERS! For all I know they kept the new intake I bought and just gave me a car back with a bad seal when they were reinstalling the original manifold. Also, they “tuned” my vehicle.... all the spark plugs are old and the ignition coil is original, they said they would change it. Unbelievable. SCAMMERS!!!!
If you want an honest place to go, go here! Im thankful for these guys for diagnosing the issue with my BMW. I WILL be giving these guys my business if anything ever comes up and you should too. Thanks again Cary!
Hands down the best automotive shop Ive been to. Fast and everything was done right. Definitely will not be taking my VWs anywhere else👌🏻 thanks again guys.
Highly recommend for the budget
Great service, great people. Lots of knowledge from all of the employees. Ive taken multiple vehicles to German Auto Pros and I have never been dissatisfied.
I found these guys online. They had very good communication over the phone and email. Had some issues when I picked up my car. I will post another review after addressing these issues. I have fingers crossed
I have a 2004 A4 Audi that needed a new oil pump and a some new gaskets. I called around to my usual European car shops in Cleveland to get estimates and they were all in the $800 range. I called German auto pros and they quoted me at $360 for the work & it was all done in a day. When I got my car back it had no warning lights and no leaks. Im very happy with this shop they did a great job at a very affordable price. I will be using this shop again.
They serviced my 2012 BMW M3, quick, easy and great customer service. Highly recommend for all your German car repair needs.
The prices are so much better then going to Volkswagen and the tram couldnt be any better at what they do! They complete the job in a short amount of time, guarantee there products and treat the customer with great respect! The women that answers the phone couldnt be any sweeter, shes just a big bundle of joy!
GOOD people, successful place- MOST reasonable pricing of parts & labor....obviously nobody can help unexpected car issues- but we have to remember thats why German Auto Pros IS IN THE BIZ....I can imagine its not always easy dealing w/any car owner needing repairs, regardless of any type of vehicle...& likewise- being the customer bc our wallet, time & means of transportation are in their hands, but w/MULTIPLE imports (as temperamental as they can be, & almost every part expensive as hell) Daily the lot receives, hopefully scheduled w/appointment- but most likely dropped off & unannounced, or even dragged in- Cars, Cars, Cars. They are CONSTANTLY BUSY. German APs is busy bc theyre real people- with an aggressive, yet professional, high in demand company & actual old school approach....they will respect you & your vehicle as much as you respect them & their knowledge- its that simple. The shop knows what theyre doing & they do it well, or they wouldnt be so swamped aka successful- not bc theyre trying to scam people- pplleeaasseee that just sounds ridiculous, quite positive they all have better things to do than rip-off their neighborhoods helpless import owners (who at times can be pretty high maintenance & demanding ourselves) & highly doubt theyd want to waste countless hours w/the ordering of boring, unnecessary & repetitive parts- for made up, tedious repairs.....cmon, stop whining. We chose our car, we chose how to fix it & we chose which place to do so- sure as hell German APs didnt choose anyone to come into their shop to get conned. Im a customer for 2 years now w/repairs & maintenance- very pleased, grateful & appreciative. (My husband gives his 100% seal of approval regards for making his life easier he says haha) I thank you German Auto Pros. Best of the best. John says WE thank you :) Appreciative of you all.
Easy going and quick experience. I went in just to have some vehicle coding mods done on my B8 A4. Cary took no more than 20 minutes to complete the process and showed me what was done to ensure I was satisfied. I even had an extra code done that wasnt discussed free of charge. To top this off, he let me leave the shop without paying to run to an ATM to save me a couple bucks. Granted it was a low money service, but that still speaks for itself. A+ experience. Thank you!
Several things influenced my rating.1. Never fixed the issue that I voiced my concern over in the first place2. Replaced my rotors with their own, there’s are Rusty, and in need of replacement, now I need to pay extra to get them replaced.3. Very rude4. Overcharged, past warranty allowances for labor and part costs at least double the amount, resulting in me over paying a lot more than I should have to get my vehicle fixed
Ive owned German cars all of my life, and this is honestly the best independent shop Ive ever experienced. They are honest, extremely fair, and get the work done pretty quickly. You can tell a lot about a shop by how they act when things go wrong - and things will go wrong at some point with every shop, even the dealer. I had a small issue after a major service - they brought me right in after I called, fixed the issue within the hour, and had me back on my way without any extra fees or trying to assign blame to something I did. Their reaction was simply Ill take care of it - and they did.I wont go anywhere else for service on VW or Audi - best shop in NE Ohio.
Amazing Place. Awesome People! Took my 2016 Golf R to install my new VWRacing Springs. Got it done in half a day while I was at work. Took care of the car like its their own. A+++++++
These guys are fantastic! Im the owner of a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5 and I will always take it to German Auto Pros when it needs work done to it. I recently took it in for a transmission valve body replacement. They went above and beyond, answering all of my questions I had about the car. Theyre fantastic, skilled, and knowledgeable about everything German Auto. Thanks for the hard work guys! Its running like a champ!
Good service
The best shop in the area if you own a German car. Cary is a fantastic mechanic and his guys there are all top caliber. And Susie the woman at the front desk is a ray of sunshine like I have never seen. I strongly suggest this shop to any and all VW, Audi, Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes owners.
If you own a German vehicle and live in Northern Ohio this is the place to take your vehicle. The level of care and expertise they put into every repair is on another level. If you want the job done right this is the place to go!
The Owner & Staff are amazingly polite & fun! I was charged such a reasonable price & they were quick! Theyve earned them self a new customer :) Ill never go anywhere else!
Excellent experience, great communication, reasonably priced and very friendly. I don’t think this is just a job for these guys but there passion. Highly recommend !
Cary and crew are always on top of it. I have had nothing but great service done by these guys. They did everything I could have asked and more. The great customer service keeps me coming back for more!
Went in the other day to get a VAGCOM reading for my jetta 1.8t and the guys there were extremely friendly and told me exactly what was wrong with my car. Furthermore, they didnt even charge me for the scan. Great group of guys and I definitely plan on coming back soon! 10/10
These guys are the best in business. They can do all the dealer work for a fraction of the cost.
If you own and VW/Audi and you dont know about this place . Please go see your car needs done here as Cary and the crew in here would help you the best
Cary the owner is a very fair person and is very easy to deal with
After the maintenance contract was up on my Jetta, I searched for an independent shop for my next oil change. I found German Auto Pros, and it was exactly what I was looking for. The staff was pleasant, and the whole experience was quick and painless. I plan to go back for subsequent maintenance and (knocking on wood) any future repair needs.
They are great. If you have a German car, GO TO THEM! You will be glad you did. Very reasonable and great service.
Fixed my car right at a fair price. Waiting room was nice and clean.
S5 Unitronic custom upgrade - awesome! Great people to deal with.
Great mechanics and pricing, do not take your German vehicle any where else.
I own a 02 GTI turbo and these guys have the right equipment to diagnose my car. I like coming to here because they know what they are doing. They are fair, friendly and always with a smile on their face.. Way to go guys..
Really nice place. Lady on the fron desk along with the guy were very polite.Quoted me 120$ when all others 300-550$ for the same work.Left my car on Monday and picked it up on Tuesday as discussed, job on the car was done right without any doubts, everything was 100% fixed.Lady called me and let me know the car was ready for pick up.The only thing i cant get why you guys dont do engine rebuilds (the only part disappointed me).The car is mercedes SUV.Thank you! Highly recommend!
The people at German Auto Pros have always been honest and affordable.Give them a call for all of your repairs.
Cary is the best. Honest best service for your German car!!!
I refuse to take my VW anywhere else. They go above and beyond. Exceptional.
Straightforward shop – fair pricing, Solid work, and good turnaround time. Wish Id found them sooner – will definitely be back.
Very knowledgeable and not too pricey.
Dont we all dream of a really good and really honest mechanic for our vw cars? Thats exactly what I found. I brought my GTI with a humming sound thinking that a wheel bearing is worn (my p zero tires only have 20k miles in them). Surprisingly, they didnt BS me at all. One hour later the word was that your bearings are fine... Your tires suck. They charged me nothing. Thats how you get a new loyal customer.
GERMAN PROS good honestly services in march 2017 they change the timing belt water pump termostat and flush the radiator and in July 2017 they install new rear bearing and the rear breaks in 1 day I have to do the front bearing and the front breaks now in September 2017 and put a new battery so my Volkswagen Jetta 2012 with 95,000 miles will be ready for winter, This is a shop you can trust
Nice shop. Professional staff
A+ work all the way around. I do a fair bit of my own work on cars and am mechanically inclined, so it takes a lot to earn my trust and my business. Upon recommendation of a friend, I took my wifes MKV TDI to German Auto Pros to replace the failing dual-mass flywheel with a single-mass flywheel as well as the clutch assembly while they were in there. Cary and team did the work in a day, even after a minor issue with parts (my fault) and the work was done perfectly. Since that trial run, they also performed the timing belt service on this vehicle, and replaced a leaking heater hose on another occassion. It is obvious that Cary is not only knowledgeable, but he genuinely cares about these cars and wants to see them running well and on the road for years to come. I would highly recommend Cary and the team at German Auto Pros for any of your Euro vehicle needs!
We have had many great experiences dealing with this shop. Their work is always carried out to the highest level.
Let me just say that German Auto Pros are AMAZING! They know exactly what to do on VWs and Audis. I would recommend them to anyone who has a Volkswagen group product!
I am a DIY guy and only come to German Auto Pros for work when something is beyond my skill or ability. I first came to German auto pros with my Jetta around 4 years ago when I needed to replace my transmission. Cary was nice to show me the damage and explained how he would source a transmission, install new clutch and warranty for all work and for less than half of what dealer would have charged. Second time coming back with the Jetta I needed a new downpipe and o2 sensor installed. Again, great service and the best price I could find. Very happy with the service and still zero issues to this day with any of the work they did. I now also recently bought an Audi and he always comes out when I stop by and I have a quick question about something. There is no one else I trust with my vehicles and this is coming from someone who is very picky about having someone else work on anything. They are the only shop around in my opinion worth going to. I have referred two friends with their German vehicles who needed work done. You cant go wrong coming here !
Owner is a great guy. Installed several parts for me such as my struts, engine speed sensor, ect...If you have a VW/Audi go here. Theyll take care of you. Very impressed!Ps. Also did a great job tuning my car.
First off I should mention that this is my first review of anything ever via the internet. I am not a huge fan of social media and I have to be blown away by something to even consider it. I was and then some with German Auto Pros honesty and service. I own an 03 mkIV and I was having electrical starting issues which I knew was going to be a struggle to diagnose the problem. I had months of headaches on my own going through different parts to try and solute the issue to no avail. When i first brought my car in they found some corroding wiring and replaced that for a great price. Thought the issue was solved, but car started having problems again. I took it back there and they replaced the fuel pump relay free of charge. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED ANYWHERE I HAVE PREVIOUSLY TAKEN ANY VEHICLE. My car, Blue, acted up again a few weeks later. They solved the issue, crank shaft position sensor for a phenomenal price. I threw them a bone for some rear end axle work to have done as well because of their integrity and service which is rare these days. My mkIV is running as strong as ever thanks to Cary and German Auto Pros. I suggest if you have a German automobile to take it to German Auto Pros. I wIll not be taking my car anywhere else, point blank period. - Jon
The place to go for any German car i personally own a 2015 gti and only go to them great guys good prices. they know there stuff especially when it comes to tuning or any type of upgrades. i recommend them to all my fellow vw and audi friends.
I installed my own timing belt on my VW Jetta TDI and made a mistake. German Auto Pros bailed me out at a fair price.I needed an electronic valve replaced on my exhaust and they provided fast and quality service at a fair price.I just bought a new Jetta as an outcome of the VW emissions scandal and I will go here when I need service.
My car (2012 VW Jetta GLI) wouldnt start one day right after I filled the gas tank. I was thinking something along the lines of a failed fuel pump, I had it towed to german auto pros and it was later diagnosed as a failed timing chain tensioner and there was no compression on any of the cylinders (I later learned VW has a revised part for this and the failure is semi-common).After remembering that I had an aftermarket powertrain warranty I checked to see if they would work with the company and their adjuster or whatever to cover the work. They did and the warranty company covered nearly everything (they didnt cover the full price of OEM parts). What I had to pay in total was still probably less than having the timing tensioner replaced as a precaution.A full top end rebuild with new valves, rocker arms, timing service, etc. later and the car runs better and quieter than ever - seems quieter on startup probably because there was some chain slap that I always thought nothing of/thought it was normal. The whole process took awhile, due to it happening right before thanksgiving and then waiting for the warranty to come out for inspection. After everything was approved I had the car back in only a couple of days. They warranty their work too (12 months/12,000 miles I think*), which is nice. So far I have no issues - Ill be back sometime in the next few months to get my clutch replaced. Id recommend them if you have a VW/Audi and need service, repairs, your vehicle is out of the factory warranty, etc. Also if you have a 2008-2013 or so VW with the 2.0 TSI motor bring your car to them to get the tensioner inspected/replaced/upgraded before you have a failure like mine.
Highly overpriced. They keep tailoring the reviews here. I am tired of leaving my only review, they keep trying removing it.
They burned my passenger side headlights while fixing the air suspension, off course they deny that
DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAREdit to owners reply: Wow, still full of lies. Its killing me to read through their reply. Saying KW suspension productions are not properly made is like saying Obama is white. Not gonna waste my time with these guys. So disgusting! If you have some knowledge about cars, you will find the owner is such a bad liar. I had the KW height adjustable spring kit installed for my 2015 Audi S5 half month ago by them. Usually I have my mechanics working on my car. But I was visiting my girlfriend during the holiday season. I found them in forum recommendations. The experience was so bad that I felt I must give out this warning. So you dont have to suffer the same. After going through all threads about the spring kit, I get idea that the kit tends to make noises with improper installation. So I provided the installation guide and emphasized on following the guide in the first visit. However, there were still a bunch of parts left in the box when I picked up the car. So I had to come back and had them do it again. In the second visit, when I was trying to show what should have been done to the owner, I started to get a bad feeling about the shop. The owner said the reason those were not installed is because they didn’t fit my stock shocks, and they were made for aftermarket shocks. I would be surprised if any company would develop springs for other company’s shock. And he said the front spring perch cannot be removed since 1) it was welded to the stock; 2) it might cause safety issue if the perch is removed. At the time, I hesitated a bit since they mentioned safety issue. But looking at it now, I think they were trying to find excuses not to redo the front, which takes the most of the time. Also, it is pretty clear that the perch should be removed as mentioned in the guide I provided, and it is definitely not welded to the stock. The funny thing is after the work is done, the owner told me they had to drill holes to make the parts fit. While, the kit is a direct fit, which anybody knows about KW would know. But I didn’t care too much since they had the parts installed after all. However, that was just the beginning of the worst part. The car started to throw headlight range control defective code right after I left the shop for the second visit. So I had to bring the car the third time to have them fix the problem. And that is a two-hour round-way trip. Despite of having a waiting-type appointment at 11am, my car got pulled in at 3pm. Man, I never had foreplay taking that long! One lady had the work done even before that, although she came after me. Finally, around 5pm (after waiting for 6 hours at the lounge), my car was ready and the owner claimed they examed the problem, recalibrated the headlights, and it should be good. But after driving 10 mins, the code showed again. So I called them up and wanted to give them another chance to fix the problem before I get completely disappointed with the shop. Not a surprise, I got pushed me away by excuses like they are already fully booked; they don’t have the tool to scan the code; that’s only what they can do; the sensor may be damaged because of lowering the car, and they suggested me to take the car to the dealer. I can tell the own didnt want to take the responsibility of the problem. It left me no options. I ended up taking to the dealer. It turned out the rear wiring was not connected. The dealer reconnected the wiring and reprogrammed the sensors. I think the fix is legit, since they can easily charge me much more than that and claim the sensors are also damaged. But the owner said that was untrue and the dealer must have done something suspicious there, and then completely ignored my emails after I asked how he wanted to deal wit it. Clearly, they messed up the installation, based on the fact the code only started to show after the second time they worked on my car, which got fixed by reconnecting the wiring; and they don’t take any responsibility! Now I spent another $400 to clean up their mess.
