Rented Budget truck, to go out state, the representative was completely dishonest, didnt disclose the true information when I asked him, when we brought truck back to destination was overcharged triple, additional insurance amount was as much as we paid for whole truck with 4 days rental. Another disappointment was at speeds over 60mph the brake pedal was shaking and making noise, terrible experience! Not recommended!

One year after having a complete overhaul of my brakes my back brakes started making a loud noise, so I had my pads replaced again but they continued to squeak and never felt right, my car just kept sounding louder. Last week I finally took my car to another place. As it turns out Grants replaced my rear rotors with 2013 rotors and my car is a 2014. The difference was considerable, 2013 was much smaller. This kind of mistake could have killed me or my family or someone else if I had not been able to stop. Better stick to oil changes if you go here, lightening fast is not worth a bad repair.

Stopped in to have a oil change done and was able to pull right in for that. Was then greeted by the service girl and she was asking me questions about my vehicle and so forth. Then she right away is rattling off prices non of which are the one on the big banner near the street. So I said I thought there was a special going on so she shouts out to the techs I was getting a basic service, no problem but when I had made mention of the special her whole attitude changed and was less friendly than before.Over all the service was done fast and efficient but after my dealings with the service advisor it was just very awkward and silent until it was time for me to leave.

I brought my vehicle in because I suspected an exhaust leak. After fixing the initial (worst) exhaust leak, I noticed that I still can smell exhaust and hear noise from the front end of the vehicle. After returning to have my vehicle reinspected my concerns were quickly brushed off and I was told to Drive on it for a few days, and its probably just the paint we put on it. I paid over $300 to get half the job done, I still need my vehicle PROPERLY fixed and inspected, and was disrespected in the process. Lighting Fast to take money out of your wallet. Dont let Lighting Strike twice!

I went to get my car inspected before I bought it and now the car is an absolute money pit. The anti-freeze has a leak a few sensors are messed up. Mechanic said it’s nothing, did a computer scan at autozone and I have something wrong with my mass air flow sensor. You are better off going to somewhere more expensive if they are more reliable.

Great service, very helpful, not trying to rip you off. My concern is that they dont push actually required services like changing fluids on schedule, instead only when you request and when there is an issue.

The service is quick. They do a good job changing oil. The only thing is they put some lube on my door hinges which caused squeaking and noise where there was none before originally. Now, I have to come up with a way to stop the noise. Other than that, its good place.

My car requires synthetic oil which is significantly more money than a regular oil change. Everytime its time for an oil change I always look for a coupon or deal but I have not found a better deal than here. I called a dealer this time who sent me a coupon with a price appearing $10 less, but it was for only 5 quarts, my car takes 6 so the total would not be what they advertised. At Lightning Service u r also in and out quickly and never leave your car. They check/fill tires, fluids and all that as part of deal too.

Ill summarize the honesty and pricing of this auto shop with a story. I took my car in a Monroe Muffler and Brakes to have my brakes replaced on my 2009 GMC Yukon. While having the brakes replaced they said my stabilizer link had gone bad on one side. I asked for a price and they quoted me at $210. I said no because I thought that was overpriced and decided to live with it. A few months later my engine began to rapidly leak engine coolant. I had feared the worst of replacing a water pump or radiator. I took the car into Grant who I cannot recommend highly enough and he called me later that day saying it was just a clamp that had rusted away and decayed leading to the leak. I appreciated his honesty and asked him to replace my stabilizer link because I felt I would get a fair price based on his previous honesty. He fixed the leak, refilled my coolant, and replaced both stabilizer links for half of the price that Monroe Muffler and Brake quoted me for the replacement of one stabilizer link. I felt he did not charge me enough for the service. This is the only time I can say that about any car repair. His auto shop is 40 minutes from my house, but I will not take my car anywhere else in the future. I am thankful for the recommendation and I am happy to make the drive. Thank you Grant!

My family has been going to Grants Lightning Service for 20 years for oil changes and all our car problems. The staff is friendly and honest. When you drop your car off to get fixed, Grant will call you to let you know the diagnosis and asks if you want him to fix it or if youd like to take your car to another mechanic. Weve gone in without appointment for many flat tires and theyve patched them up right away. This is the only place we take our cars for oil changes and mechanic needs. On a side note, Lightning Service has coupons in the Gold Clipper and Max Value coupon magazines.

He explained my cars problem well and took up the work immediately. No hanky-panky business. My cars issue was settled within 30 minutes that included an oil change, sealing the tires and fixing the puncture. The issue was small but the fix was quick and courteous; it matters. I have been going to Lightning Service for over 15 years. The service is outstanding and the quality of work is incredible. Many occasions i have taken my car in for brakes...etc and many times i have been told that i do not need that particular service yet and that i could wait instead of spending the money at that time. Most other places would not only do that work but find something else to nail you on, they do not do that. The Mechanic ( John ) is the most honest Mechanic i have ever come across and the owner ( Grant Rose ) is always friendly, trusting, and honest as well. I never have to worry about leaving my car there and it is always done on time or before the time they said. The prices are extremely fair and they do whatever it takes to get you back on the road . I will never ever take my car anywhere else but here.

I would not recommend this place. I took my 10 year old Lexus for a heater core flush due to no heat. They did it and the guy that handed the car to me said that it would pick up more heat as I drive it and any air gets bled out and the coolant circulates more. I did get some heat but it then fizzled out in a week. I called them and asked if I can bring it in to be looked at. I was told I needed a new heater core (a 700$ job as the whole dash needs to come out) as flushing had already been done.I took by car to another place in Cleveland Hts, did a flush and I now have heat that can bake a pizza in the car.Bottom line, I would stay away except may be for very basic oil change type work. I wasted about $100 by going here.

Paid $28.07 for an oil change and full 19 point service on 01/12/18 at 5:44 PM. I don’t think I got the full service. No front cabin vacuum, no fluids topped off, no hinges oiled. My front windshield was washed though. I should have just gotten the regular cheaper oil change. I think they wanted to rush me out the door.

The review is based on a customer two-step -- receiving a rapid reply on a question I had emailed to Lightning Service (concerning an oil change special offer on the website)......and then the outstanding and professional service on my vehicle the next morning. I know -- I know -- there are numerous oil change facilities on and around West 130th Street; but why try the rest when you can use the best.

I wont take my cars any were else. The Service is great here and Grant does not push extra stuff on you to make a buck. Great place for a oil change as well.

A few months ago I had what I would call extensive work done on my car. I actually waited because I was given a quote of $950 from another repair place, and $1100 from the dealer. While I was in for an oil change, I talked to Grant and he said they could make the repairs. It never dawned on me they provided full services. The price was HALF what I was quoted by the other guy, and an hour less time than expected! Fast forward, today they were quite busy when I pulled in, but they had me in and out in no time! A very sincere thank you to you and your guys, Grant! This customer isnt going anywhere!

Decent oil change place I normally go to my other guy but friendly staff they knew a lot about engine oil and they did a lot for the price to my car I was impressed they did forget my oil change sticker thats okay I did show up last min and was still served thanks guys!

I took two cars here. I wont go back.Theyre too brief on the phone, and in the shop. They seem to just want to get you out of the way so they can do their thing.I was told they didnt really look at anything else after seeing that the timing belt jumped on car #1....We took it up there because the timing belt jumped. They told us no new information. Maybe they werent listening when we dropped the car off. This was a waste of time, and towing efforts. They just restated the problem and said dont bother.They did however, forget to turn my car off, and killed my brand new battery. I specifically told them to make sure they locked the ignition, because the key comes out regardless of where its turned to. They assured me theyd be fine. I guess they over estimated themselves.Who cares, the car doesnt even run was all I got. No apology. They didnt even recharge it like they said they would. In short, they returned my car to me in worse condition than when I dropped it off.They told me my second car needed a new carburetor and wasnt worth fixing because they would have trouble finding the part, and its a lot of work.Two other garages and two other mechanics have all laughed.Ive already ordered the parts. They are literally all over the internet. I will be having work done by people who care about something besides getting people out of the way.I thought Lightning Service applied to the car work. I guess it also applies to the customers.If you dont want to deal with older cars, say that before we waste our time bringing them to you.

Well I got a oil change, never got the extras but thats not the problem. Got home, parked the car in the drive way, only to have oil leak on the driveway because it was on the frame of the car from the oil filter, they never cleaned it off or that thought it would burn off but I live less than 5 minutes away.Two days later now I have transmission fluid on the driveway. Popped the hood start looking around as the leak is coming from the back firewall It would help if the put the dip stick back it was barely put back in so I had transmission fluild all over the place.I be getting my oil changes elsewhere....

The price may be good, but the service is half assed. I guess they got tired of seeing my beater. When it was missing, these clowns, replaced ONE spark plug, and sent me on my way. Needless to say, that did not fix the issue. If you are a person of color, you have to be careful who you leave your car with in Parma. Ive ran into TWO shady repair shops in a 5 mile radius.

Dont trust this scammer. We were in a bind and needed a moving truck on short notice so we had to settle for this guy since Its the first of the month and most places didnt have any available. He charged $180 dollars for a day rental even though we only put 30 miles on the truck. We had originally intended to take it back at one but when things were taking longer than expected we called to see if we could just keep the truck for the full day. The guy on the phone said it would be fine with no extra cost but when we returned it he hit us with a $170 fine for damage THAT WAS PRE-EXISTING. This guy is a real piece of work, if you by some horrible twist of fate forced to rent a truck from this place make sure you are extra careful checking it over before you pick it up because they are unscrupulous scammers. NEVER going back. Probably never renting a budget truck again but Ill wait to hear back from them to pass judgement, since we did file a complaint about this rotten place. $436 after everything was said and done, for one day, in city AND WE DIDNT HIT ANYTHING. Hopefully theres a special corner in hell reserved for this guy because thats a good amount of money to a guy in my position. Thats a month of groceries you sick f***.Edit: If you look at the profiles of most of this businesses reviews they are either fake or obviously bought reviews. Unscrupulous owners for sure.Edit #2 Its been two years and the owner mysteriously never responded to this review, huh, thats weird.

Places a joke came in for an oil change came out with the check engine light after his mechanic came out and looked at it and said it was nothing wrong ! Ok so I go down the street my check engine light comes on I go back to see whats wrong he hooks up the computer again rudely this time and says I reset the check engine light for you which I did not ask I asked what was wrong with my vehicle why did the check engine light come on and he replied did you pay for this service ! What a joke these people be hearing from my lawyer if my car is messed up Ill be taking it to a real master mechanic I have documentation on the car before I took it into that piece of junk oil place
