The staff here are really great and have always gone out of their way to make sure my bike is in good shape, safe and I’ve always left happy and with my problem solved. I’m not a spandex bike kinda guy, I commute up to 100 miles a week and need a functional ride and they make sure that happens; without attitude and with a smile. I’ve worked with a lot of bike shops in 35 years of riding and this place is the best.

Helpful and Knowledgeable, the staff first took my call to check availability of the Verve womans small frame bike, it was confirmed there was one available. Upon arrival the store was bustling with activity but I was helped quickly. I was given a helmet so I could test ride the bike with no pressure. The store is neat and attractively set up with anything you might want or need or didnt even know you might need for the casual to expert cyclist. I was impressed by the many ages in the store and the inventory to accommodate. The staff fully explained the shifting and care of the bike and helped me load it into my car. It rides great!

Went in for a popped tire. Does exactly what you asked for, nothing more, nothing less. On the pricier end. Would recommend Kraynicks for the more price-conscious folks whos willing to learn more.

I was looking for a specific Trek bike and the Shadyside location had it. They held it for me until I was able to get there to pay for it. While I was there they were very helpful in terms of getting me the right accessories.But thats about where the good stuff ends ... I needed specific pedals for my bike that would fit my existing clips. They didnt have them in stock so they said they would order and have them shipped to the Peters Township location (I live in the South Hills). Over a week later I called Shadyside and they had no record of the order, which was frustrating. But I get it, people make mistakes. So they said they found the pedal I needed at a store on the East Coast and would have it shipped to the Peters store. Another week goes by and I call Peters to check on it ... Peters has no record of it and no one from Shadyside ever called them. Shadyside cant seem to explain why (for a second time) nothing was ordered except that the person I talked to was a production person and shouldnt have answered the phone. Super helpful!So for over 2 weeks Ive had an expensive road bike sitting in my living room with no pedals, and twice now the Shadyside location hasnt done what they said they were going to. They also told the Peters store its their problem now.Luckily Brendan at the Peters store has been more than helpful and my pedals are finally on order so I can actually ride my bike. I dont know if this fell through the cracks or if the team at Shadyside just doesnt care, but either way it was a disappointing post-purchase experience. I would recommend visiting any other Trek location but this one.

Great experience - great shop, lots of inventory, staff very knowledgeable about products. Traveled 2 hours to get here due to a 24 bike shortage in my area and couldnt be happier I did. Those with kids - they offer a 50% trade in value on the next bike if traded in within three years. Wish I had known this years ago!

After calling several Trek dealerships we finally found one that had the bikes we wanted, in stock. Although the trip included a 5 hr drive, which included three horn blows, and one middle finger from the fine drivers in Pittsburgh, we arrived.Jason, the representative who took care of the details by phone, and online, was off work the day we arrived. Nevertheless, we were in good hands. The staff took excellent care of all of our needs. Though this store is very busy, they never once became inattentive or impatient, very classy work. Great Customer Service and get the job done in great time!

Very helpful on many fronts. I needed some gear for my gravel bike and they were helpful. I also wanted to consider getting a wheel upgrade on an old aluminum road bike and they were honest about whether or not it would be worth it for me to spend the money. Most important thing I can say is that I trust them for advice and expertise.

Great customer service, very friendly staff.Disappointed as I paid ~$250 to get my bicycle fixed and received it in dustier/dirtier condition than it was before..feel like with the amount I paid, they could atleast wipe it with a wet cloth after its done.

Overall I am very pleased with this bike shop! Kevin did a great job on helping me get the bike I was looking for the Domane AL5 and somehow even when all bikes in my size are sold out everywhere else due to the pandemic he got me a fantastic deal on a leftover upgraded Domane SL5! Same group set upgraded frame from aluminum to carbon. Couldnt be happier with my luck on this transaction! Had a small issue with late shipping on some accessories that was quickly resolved.

Dave and especially Jennie were absolutely terrific! I use a power wheelchair and wanted a flag, lights, and reflectors, and hadn’t been able to figure out anything that would work. Another bike shop hadn’t been able to help me, either.Jennie went well out of her way to figure out ways to attach a couple of different kinds of lights at *five* different locations so that they are both secure and don’t stick out, as well as how to mount a flag, which I ordered.She also thoroughly explained how to remove and reattach them when necessary, how to operate them, and how to change the batteries. She then tightened several loose screws on the chair itself. She was very friendly, personable, patient, thorough, and a real pleasure to work with.I hadn’t even been planning to go in that day but got chatting with Dave outside about the lift on his truck and decided to just do it.The whole thing cost me *way* more than I expected, but it’s worth it for the degree of visibility I will now have - and everyone’s helpfulness and friendliness really cushioned the blow. A definite 10 experience!

Trek’s kids bike program, which applies 50% of the cost of a previously purchased Trek that a kid has outgrown to the cost of a new kids bike, is a very generous reward program. Staff is knowledgeable and takes the time to thoroughly help each customer. Although this meant a longer wait for us (as the only employee in the store when we were there took care working with each customer), the employee’s efforts made it worth being patient.

Even when this was Top Gear, this is where I would normally go to receive bike repairs and tune-ups. As much as Id like to think I can do things on my own, I often somehow manage to make things worse with even simple bike maintenence. I realize that Im paying a premium for having my bicycle serviced here, but ultimately its worth it to me because I know it will be done properly, and in a better time frame than I could manage myself.My latest experience here was nothing short of exceptional. After finding my bike with a punctured tire one afternoon, I figured it was time to get my seasonal tune-up. Since my bike is my primary means of transportation, I need it in good condition. Jenny took care of me and saw to it that it got everything it needed, and then some. Little quirks and oddities about it that I struggle to explain were addressed.There was an unfortunate back log of work to be done ahead of my bike that prevented it from being completed by the day originally anticipated. Between my busy schedule and the holiday weekend, it seemed like Id have to wait several extra days to get it back.Understanding my situation, Jason had called me and offered a loaner until mine was ready, or to have my bike delivered to me once finished. I opted for the latter, preferring to put the wear on city bikes rather than theirs. Jenny was kind enough to not only stay at work late to ensure my bicycle was in perfect condition, but she personally delivered it to my house (which was in the same zip code as the shop) after she was done.I honestly cant express how much I appreciate how everyone here has gone above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. There are many quality bike shops around the city - in spite of the higher price point, Im glad that Trek is one of the options I have to choose from. The staff here, and Jenny in particular, are true assets to the business and wonderful neighbors. Thank you so much!

I came in close to closing time with a flat tire on my bikeOwen, who was the only person working in the store at the time, greeted me pleasantly and told me he’d be with me shortly, as he was waiting on another customer.After taking out my inner tube and checking inventory, he came out and told me that unfortunately they didn’t have my size inner tube in stock.Not wanting me to leave with a flat tire, Owen went through the entire store and found a display bike that had an innertube that matched mine.He took the innertube out of the display bike and put it into my tire, while patiently explaining the process in case I would have to do it myself in the future.On top of that, as it was not a new innertube from a package he didn’t charge me anything.Thank you Owen! You have won a loyal customer!
