I can’t recommend them enough for all of your gunsmithing needs. They have also completed everything I’ve hired them for earlier than the estimated dates, if not right then and there when I come in. Found a job advertisement on Indeed & called the company to verify that the potential position was still open. Once we started talking about my qualifications the owner or so I was told thats who I needed to talk to got rude with me on the phone & said he didnt have time to train a new person. Ok fine with me but in my opinion I dont think you will find a experienced gunsmith willing to work for the little pay you are offering. I will recommend to everyone I know NOT to do business with this place if customers are going to be treated badly.

Great service. I stopped in to inquire about an issue I was having with my 1911. James was friendly, immediately asked to see it and did a quick trouble shoot. He fixed in in about 5 minutes! Very friendly.James also took a look at my buddy’s new AR that was malfunctioning. He quickly diagnosed the issue, fully explained what needed to be done. I walked into Superior Gun Care to have a battery replaced on my RMR. As I walked up to the counter, I was greeted by Richard the owner. After sharing the story of how the previous owner had used an overkill of Blue 242 Loctite on the tiny screw threads. I was not about to take the chance of stripping those out. Richard had those two tiny mounting screws out in less then two minutes. This was great news, I was in and back out on my lunch hour. Superior Guns just earned another customer.

Was recommended to go to Superior Gun Care by gun store a few doors down a couple weeks ago about some work needed on a 1911, it was almost 10AM on a Tuesday or Wednesday and waited until about 10:20AM before leaving no one in store but open sign mustve been on a timer cause they came on to a dark and empty store.*Update 04/10/2021*I like the response from owner to my comment, no apology for not showing up to their POSTED hours of business with excuses that every small business owner has but they still shows up on time.My parents owned a mom and pop business, guess what? They still had the decency to apologies when they didnt open up on time to a potential customer. Own up to YOUR mistake.You will not be getting my business and I will recommend to others not to use your service if this is how you handle things.

Had my Springfield Armory Mod 2 XD 9 Service Model installed with TruGlo TFX Pro sights. Cost for service is in line with current prices. Had I not stood around and gabbed I wouldve been in and out in 20 minutes. Richard installed and was very professional. The owner, James, also came out and chatted for a bit. Friendly folks. I had read that the XDs were notorious for difficulty in replacing sights, but Richard did it with ease. No hammering to my knowledge and I received the original sights back intact even though I was warned of the possibility of breakage. They have a press capable of tackling tough jobs. I am a tad bummed by the front sight being marred a bit even though there appears to be no impact to the functionality of the tritium/fiber-optic (left wing, reason for 4 stars, and Im a nit picker). James and Richard assured me that if any adjustments were needed within a reasonable amount of time they would take care of it. I visited the range to see about accuracy. The sights were dead on. Im happy with the service with the one minor exception and would recommend.

Absolutely the best gun smith in DFW IMO. I brought in my old .22 that was given to me by my great uncle. It was jammed and I really thought beyond repair. So I just asked them to clean it up and make it look nice. Well guess what not only does it look a amazing but they repaired it so that it be fired! Richard also tracked down the original replacement slide grip for my Mossberg 12ga! What a great group of guys, that are knowledgeable, friendly, and the workmanship is bar none to any I have before. Don’t waste take shopping around, just bring your guns here!

Small shop owned by a great guy that will definitely have my business again. Dropped off a new g43x I had picked up to have several upgrades installed - Apex trigger, Truglo sights, magazine release extension, two mag extensions, and a compensator/aftermarket barrel - and he did a phenomenal job! It’s been a little of 6 months (~2500 rounds) and everything has held up perfectly. Price quoted was very reasonable for the work being done and at drop off was given a 1-2 day turn around time, which is what I would expect. Dropped off when he opened at 10 and he called at 3 saying he had some free time and knocked out since it was a cool build and he wanted to see the end product. Great service and a great guy to talk to if you have a few minutes when you stop in.Also got a quote to have the slide milled for an optic and while more expensive than the online offerings was competitive and given the option to support a locally owned small business (in my opinion) it is definitely worth the extra cost.

Best gunsmiths in the Dallas area. I had a revolver that was in real bad shape and tried 3 different gunsmiths and all of them said they couldnt fix it. Richard at Superior Gun Care was able to fix it and get it working again. These guys really know what they are doing. Make sure theyre your first stop.

I decided to go here based off of other reviews and could not have been taken better care of. I walked in, was helped right away and was out the door with new sights on my firearm within 20 minutes. Other shops would have made me leave the firearm over night but they took care of me right away. Good ole fashion American small business here, highly recommended.

I had an issue with my shotgun and Mr. Christian, the owner, took the weapon apart, identified the issue and fixed it. The issue for me was not so much that he refused my offer to pay him for his time, but that he never made me feel as though I was a fool for not knowing how to address the problem. I will be back and have my weapons cleaned at his facility in the near future as well as for all my repair requirements. Most professional, indeed!

Richard has worked on two of my 2011s to including fitting a hybrid barrel for competitive shooting. He is one of the top 1911/2011 gunsmiths I know. His attention to detail is second to none and his work shows his dedication to perfection. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

The only for me to give this shop a review is to keep it simple. The owners are nice and the service was professional and thorough. I brought in a repair and another piece for cleaning, and will be back for future issues.

Richard has been extremely knowledgeable with every firearm Ive brought to him, and has always fixed my guns in a timely manner. Some of the work takes longer than others, but i understand that it takes time to source some of the parts needed to complete the job. Superior has done everything from clean my firearms, fix the ones i break and thread the barrel of my hunting rifle. I absolutely would recommend them to anyone needing a good gunsmith.

Had to get a very particular part replaced for a weapon of mine; they happen to have the piece in stock, so it took 5 minutes to have it replaced and done. The gentleman that took care of me was very knowledgeable and respectful. I will be using this establishment for my future gunsmith needs.

Unfortunately my experience is similar to Daniel’s. The cornerstone of customer service is setting accurate expectations. This shop makes excuses for why they can’t meet timelines they provided but when I’ve walked in to see if any progress was made on my gun, the guy supposedly working on my gun was usually chatting with his buddy that hangs out there regularly. These guys work on their time and if you give them any feedback or push them for an eta they don’t want to hear it. Don’t waste your time. There are nicer and more professional gunsmiths to do business with...Gunmaster is right up the street.

I only have good things to share about this place. drop my rifle 2 weeks ago to get muzzle brake install. it turns out my barrel is 14.5 and it needs pin and welded to meet legal requirement. they take all the necessary steps to get the job done and without charge me for any additional cost. the finish is so beautiful and the service is the best in town. if you need someone to take care of your firearms, build your next AR, or just deep clean for your rifles. they are the number one store you need to visit.

Spoke with the owner about a bent ejector rod on a Ruger Security Six. He explained the different approaches possible to solve my problem. He said, bring it in so we can evaluate the problem. Very friendly and very helpful.

I called with some questions about cleaning a rare gun thats not made anymore. I was very rudely told that I better not bring it in. Completely astonished how rude I was treated.RESPONSE TO OWNER:I first called and asked the current lead time and if you were familiar with my gun.Then I called again and asked what happens if my gun was damaged, and if you were aware that the over torquing the action screws will damage the rifle. Then I was rudely hung up on.At no point was I repetitive, or difficult. Both of our phone conversations did not last more than 2 minutes combined.If this is the way you treat a genuinely concerned customer with legitimate questions Im glad we didnt have the chance to do business.By the way my rifle is an original Jeff Cooper limited edition rifle manufactured in 1998 which is in fact out of production and rare.

I was doing some trigger work on my core pro and jacked up the trigger bar. I dropped my gun off and asked them to get the a new bar for me. Customer service was great got my gun back in perfect working condition and noticed it was super clean in and out... I didnt ask for the cleaning service but they did it anyway for free. I highly recommend them.

I went in to get night sights installed on my USP. I had some trouble finding a place that had the proper tools for the job at all. The only other place I found that could do it told me it would cost $125, and take a week turn around.It took these guys about ten minutes. They were polite, professional, fast, and affordable. I will definitely be back.

So I bought a Dawson Ice magwell and a TTI extended base pad. And found out the hard way that they were not compatible with each other. So I went to a place in my city that specializes in customizing firearms. They said, they could make some modifications to the magwell and make it functional. But they couldn’t guarantee that it would look great.Obviously this isn’t what they specialize in. But I couldn’t find a cheaper price. Now this is where Superior Gun Care comes in. Now this place mainly does gun cleaning services. But I took my firearm to him anyway just to see. He took a look at my situation. And with confidence said that he could make the modifications and it would not only be functional but look great as well.Let me tell you! It can out working GREAT!! and looking GREAT!!! And he was only a few dollars more than the other place. But he had a faster turnaround time.Y’all listen!! The confidence he had in doing something he never done. Only speaks volumes to the actual work he specializes in. So when that time came that I actually needed gun care service. I didn’t hesitate. I payed him a visit. WOW!!! Once again he exceeded my expectations.

Good people to do business with. Had them install TruGlo night sights on my kimber 1911 custom II. Cost was a little more than I prefer to pay $50 for such an easy job but on another note, I had a different shop quote me $30 but they wanted to keep it overnight which I didnt prefer. Only took about 10 minutes to install, I was in and out so it was well worth the extra $20. They also seem very knowledgable about firearms and will continue to do future business with them. I do reccomend giving these people business if you are in gunsmithing needs.

I own and regularly use many AR rifles. The action of the pulling charging handle was just a fact of life that there is some resistance as the handle drags and groans against the channel inside the upper receiver (and i keep my action well oiled and very wet).In Jan 2018, i brought both my rifle and carbine to Superior Gun Care for a complete deep sonic cleaning. This was my first time to ever have a service like this done, as I had been self-cleaning my own ARs for years thru thousands and thousand of rounds.When I got both of these ARs back, running the charging handle is a completely different experience. It is so clean, there is zero drag resistance as the handle moves thru the channel in the upper receiver, as well as it *sounds* completely different. You just hear the handle reaching the end of the channel, then the bolt re-engaging the barrel extension, THATS IT. The screech of the charging handle grinding against carbon buildup that is unreachable by a standard AR brush is all absent.My carbine goes afield with me at least 75 times a year, exposed to mud/dirt/dust. My sonic cleaning was over 18 months ago, and maintaining the clean state that Superior Gun Care put it in has been simple, whereas years of standard cleanings on my own never put it close to this level of operation.My rifles will be back when the time comes, and I highly recommend this service.

Had them replace the sights out on a mint condition pistol that is no longer in production. They scratched and marred the slide in several locations and the rear sight has multiple dents on it from both sides as they apparently smashed it into the pistol when installing it. I now have a pistol that is no longer in the mint condition that it was in when I gave it to them. To say that I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM is an understatement.

Staff is professional, quick and does good work. They are more concerned with doing what is the best for their customer and not just their bottom line.

I went in and the lady there was nice. Only problem is that she told me that a scope mount would be 15 per hole and when i went back one of the guys there was rude and looked like he didnt want my service was short and serious and told me 25 per hole.

Building my first AR, I messed up a spring and pin. Took it over here and one of the lads was able to get some new pieces and pop them in fairly quickly for me for a few bucks
