I used this repair shop to replace an oil pan gasket on a 98 camaro...not an easy job. They replaced it in a timely manner and even one of the techs worked on it while they were on there vacation. I am extremely happy with the work done and would recommend them to anyone. Great job guys!

Thought I lost my clutch and a expensive repair. After their diagnostics found it was a master and slave cylinder leaking. Replaced and cost a lot less than a clutch. Very honest and reliable shop!

Youre cheaters!On the phone I was told that the labor for oil change costs $15, that satisfied me and I showed up with my oil and filter. When work was done I was charged $25 with excuse that the guy on the phone was wrong and informed me incorrectly.So maybe this $10 extra you should take from your specialist who gives wrong price left and right?This was my last visit at your service and I make sure mention to my friends to avoid it as well!Scammers!

I took my car there to have what I thought was a nail in a tire. It ended up being the end of a screw. They removed the screw and didnt charge anything because the tire wasnt punctured. They are honest and friendly which is hard to find at the big box shops. I definitely plan to have all future service done at this location.

I was in the Pooler area visiting and had a nail puncture a tire. Put on the spare and brought the SUV over to Home Town Auto Care. It was a little before 8 AM this past Friday. They had the tire plugged and back on my vehicle in about 20 minutes. Fantastic. Told the guys they are my go to for Auto Care in the Pooler area. A++.

The people here are great! Excellent work done on my F150 and my sons Cavalier. They found the problems and fixed them the same day. Very knowledgeable about different makes of vehicles. Great business to deal with!! Definitely a hometown atmosphere. We will be getting my husbands truck worked on next and I have every confidence that it will be just as great of service as before. We will be dealing with them and nobody else. The chain repair shops are no match for these guys.

Mrs. Cathy is such s sweet lady shes always ontop of any questions you may have. Jimmy,worked on my car and he really explained everything to me and went out of his way to make sure our car was safe. His support for veterans and their spouses is amazing. As a women is often frustrating dealing with car repairs because people like to take advantage, home town has fair pricing and amazing communication.

Kevin and co. did a repair in 45 minutes that Savannah Tire couldnt do in 5 hours. Brought it in one morning and less than an hour later, they were already almost done. The price they quoted me was beyond fair and I couldnt be more pleased with the outcome. With fair prices, fantastic service, and skilled mechanics, I will definitely be coming back here for any more repairs!

I was in town for work and my car engine started rattling. Another mechanic recommended that I bring it to Home Town Auto and I couldnt be more grateful! They we very friendly and were able to take a look at the car immediately. After running through a few diagnostics they were able to pin point the problem, complete the work and send me on my way in a few hours. Their price was very reasonable and I cant recommend them enough!

Savannah tire quoted me $990 to replace my wifes radiator. Called these guys up and they quoted me $280 out the door with a parts and labor guarantee. They swapped the radiator out, filled the coolant, and then tested the repair extensively all within hours of taking the car in. I felt that the price was fair, the repair was done with care, and the service was quick and friendly. I will return to them first with my next issue.UPDATE: I have since returned to have my wifes a/c compressor replaced. Once again, they got it done quickly and genuinely seemed to care that the job was done well. No issues with either repair at all.To the owner of Hometown Auto: please keep running your business this way. There are so few places left that treat their customers like actual people and treat others property as if it were their own. I have, and will continue to, refer people to you for this exact reason. This place is the epitome of good service! I know this place probably doesnt remember this but its something Ill never forget. The kindness this place shared with my family and I. Back in summer of 2011 on our way back home to Virginia from Florida, my moms trailblazer had some mechanical failure. It was holiday weekend and these guys spent all day on a Friday until 7pm working on our car so we could get on the road. They were so kind to myself and family, I remember they allowed our dog to come inside and stay cool and they ordered pizzas and shared with us! Ill never forget the kindness this place showed our family. We are vacationing in Tybee this year and I got to thinking about this place and thought lets give em that good review. Outstanding service!

Dont judge a book by its cover!Place looks run down but these guys are on point and accomplished awesome work on my daughters car, at half the price of anyone else.Had an CEL for oil pressure transmitter that I provided. Was told by stealership it would be 300 in labor. HTAC estimated half that allowing me to go ahead and get the oil change tire rotated without being much more out of pocket than what I was initially looking at. Very professional, provided the old part, will absolutely use them again.

Great place for to get ur car fix; very respectful and friendly people. I got stocked on 95 north bound on my way back from Miami so I got the car towed there. They resolved the problem. I give 10/10 because of the rapidity and the professionalism!!!

Went in with my jeep on Friday morning. I had an engine light on that was reading a small evap leak... I left the car for a few hours and when I came back I had a $211 bill... The money isnt the issue if the problem was fixed!! I was told the vehicle was went over front to back and everything was good to go! Check engine light comes back on but this time I looked over things myself (I am not a master mechanic) and seen a clearly broken line at the top of the fuel cell! Couldnt have been missed by a professional, or by Ray Charles if he took a look! So for $13 I fixed the issue myself!!! Either no test was done at all!!!!! Or they knew what the real problem was and wanted me to return for another fucxxing!!!Thank you for your time, will not return here.

Im not an auto expert by any means, that is the reason I brought my vehicle to them last year when I needed the alternator replaced. I am lead to believe that this is normally a job that cost $80-$125. My bill came to $345. They claimed to have cleaned some injectors or something like that. They also informed me that I needed to bring it back to have them more thoroughly cleaned and they could do it for $265. I declined this suggestion. That day at lunch, I parked under the oak tree at work and ate lunch. I noticed the engine would rev up every minute or so for a few seconds and then go back to normal. This started happening the day I got it back from them. I took it back in after a week of this occurring and they told me they needed to do the suggested service of cleaning out those injectors. I explained to them that the injectors were not an issue whatsoever until they touched them and that there was no way I was going to pay to have the issue they caused corrected. They said they could look at the car but it would never be repaired without doing the maintenance they advised. Long story short, they gave it back to me and the issue was magically corrected. It never showed up again either.I am unsure as to whether or not there were any misdealing in this transaction. I just would like everyone considering their services to be aware of their dealings with me.

They fixed my car great! It had broke down in the middle of the road and I had it towed there. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 was they said they would call with a quote after it was received Monday morning. Called Monday night and it was in there but couldnt tell me anything. I got a call Tues morning and they told me what was wrong and they had fixed it. I wasnt too upset because it wasnt as much as I thought it would be, but would have liked the quote first like they said.

I hate to give bad reviews but when I took my car for an oil change they tried to tell me the drive belt was cracking and fraying and quoted me $126 for the part and labor. My husband had just changed it 20K miles ago so when I asked to see it the belt looked almost brand new with only one tiny spot showing minor wear. They also quoted me $300 to replace the right front boot that they said was busted. Hubby also had checked that recently and it isn’t a problem. I assume they did the oil change according to my wishes but it’s hard to know now since they were trying to take me for a ride. When I saw the “bad” belt and asked them to put it back on they didn’t argue or fuss, just put it back on, but I felt extremely uneasy about the whole situation. Leads me to believe they don’t always do the most honorable thing. I won’t go here again.

Scott Morris is the son of the owner. They are really good and very knowledgeable,however, i find them to be a little expensive on some repairs. They quoted me a price of 2600.00 on a repair of my truck with 2 tires. I found someone else to do the work for 1600.00 and that included 4 tires
