These guys went absolutely above and beyond expectations for me. It was incredibly busy when I arrived for my reserved rental and the staff was darned near full throttle, yet still managed to maintain superiors level of attention per each customer. One of the staff members was even working two computers at a time to alleviate the wait time for everyone. The fella working the counter went well beyond my expectations for any kind of customer service by helping me attain the best price, not something I would ever expect from any kind of corporation. I felt like a VIP, and Im willing to bet that the other customers who experienced the same staff would agree with my statement.
Waited 30 mins to have my gas tank filled and it never got filled first I had to wait for someone to come out and there was a person in front of me. The girl fills his tank and then takes him inside to pay and never came back idk if she tought we were with him or what. We ringed the bell for help and still nobody came. I got tired of waiting and left. They are very unorganized at this store.
So I called the location on Oddie BLVD and talked to a nice person named Katelynn. I have been renting from U-Haul for many years and she gave me more information in the one minute I was talking to her than all the previous years I have been renting. I sure wish she had worked there before. She could have saved me at least $100 per time I rented. Thank goodness she told me all of that.
The website was a bit weird when we tried to get a vehicle reserved for moving to a new apartment, but the staff was extremely friendly and super helpful when we went in. They helped accommodate us and got us everything we needed for a super affordable price.The vehicle itself was plenty spacious, had hooks for tie downs in just the right spots, drove really well, and had A/C that absolutely couldnt be beat, which was amazing when we were transporting several loads of stuff in midsummer Reno heat.P.S. if you happen to get Maria helping you out then youll be set and are going to have a great time.

They will literally rob you, returned with the exact same amount of gas. But got charged 75 dollars for 14 gallons of fuel! Avoid at all costs renting or returning.
The General Manager here is a gentleman. He works hard. Even during/post COVID with labor shortages he keeps a positive attitude. Been helping my small business for years because of him. Always treats me well and does his best. Much appreciated. Miguel is the man.
Excellent service, great people working there. Dropped a trailer off and I didn’t have to even wait a sec before the guy came out to check in the trailer and detach it from my vehicle. Excellent!
Rented a trailer to move to Montana. Upon inspecting the trailer there was a Rip in the tire tread and they guy that hooked it up gave me a real hard time when I said I cant leave with a tire like this. He really wanted to argue and pass it off as somebody elses problem. Simple solution: change the wheel out or new trailer. After going back and forth he was telling me there was nothing he could do haha what a joke. I went in the building and talked with the manager Miguel who was more than helpful and had the trailer switched out with another one in 10 minutes. You should inspect your tires and equipment before you leave always. Just glad I noticed it.
Vehicle died on 395N pulled in to this location with my last bit of momentum. After placing a few calls I went inside to inform the manager that I had a tow truck coming in about an hour. And was met with an aggressive and hostile attitude.How dare I stop in THEIR parking lot I should have come to a stop in the middle of the road causing potential accidents and definite traffic jams rather than pulled into there location in an EMERGENCY.Was literally told by the manager I should have just stopped on the corner.One of the people out breaking his back in the Sun for what Im sure is minimum wage named Miguel is the saving Grace of this store. I was going to give a two star review to the store as he is the one redeeming customer service representative however after realizing that that would actually raise the rating of this location I decided against it.AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS WHETHER ITS LIFE OR DEATH OR AN EMERGENCY OR ANYTHING.

The woman at the front desk stopped mid conversation to call her husband with her Starbucks order. The manager, Miguel, blamed us for a fault in the trailer before it was even attatched and then yelled at my husband when he was trying to buy an adapter for the lights. The people helping us attach the trailer ran off whenever they could to talk on their phones. I understand people having a bad day, but when the employees are hiding and the manager is hostile with customers, it speaks to a serious lack of leadership skills that results in an unhealthy work environment. I hate to leave a bad review, but we were doing our best and received terrible service in return.However, Roberto Martinez was amazing. He jumped right up to help us return the trailer, so kudos to that guy!
The employees here are always incredibly rude and short. They are never wearing their masks and if they are they are constantly slipping below their nose. I will go out of my way to use a different location in the future so I dont have to deal with the staff here again.

I made a 2 week advance reservation for a truck so I could move to another state. I received an email the day before my pickup date that my reservation was canceled I figured they probably didn’t have that specific truck so I went to this office to see my other options. Come to find out they canceled my reservation because they are only doing services in Reno and you have to drop the truck off at the same location instead of another location across the country. So come to find out I can’t get a single moving truck, trailer, or anything THE DAY BEFORE IM MOVING. This is a corporate business with hundreds of locations and they were unable to do anything for me. Luckily Penske had a moving truck available but I had to pay twice as much since it was last minute. Going forward I’m never going to do business with U-Haul. Unbelievable.
0/5 if I could. Showed up for a hitch installment and they didn’t have my reservation . Waited in a super long, slow line with a toddler in tow and the manager couldn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. Will be going somewhere else with better service.

I will NEVER rent from Uhaul again. The only reason I am giving them 5 stars is for the people that are working in the store. They did everything they could to help me with my rental that was canceled 10 minutes prior to my pickup by U haul Corporate. It is unacceptable that I got a conformation call two days prior and had my reservation canceled while I was driving to pick up.
Worst experience.ast two times I came, they didn’t have my reservation. Last time, the GM (no help!!) blamed their travel center that confirms bookings. Poor organization and management! If you promote your app, make sure it works!!! What a joke!
If I could give a 0 star I would. Line and wait is incredibly long, nobody has a clue it seems like. They charged me for 10 gallons of gas by mistake because the gas gauge on my paperwork was wrong compared to the vehicle, I went in the next day to get it fixed and the manager said they refunded me again after waiting 30+ minutes in line. I still havent seen the refund come through on my bank its been over 3 business days. I would never come back this this uhaul location.
Service on get ready truck for customers was really fast. I had service on 7/19. But they charged my card too much!!!. Be careful, make sure check!!! I had service at S.Virginia and Moana ( right next to Walgreens) on 9/1, this location tried to charge me double too!!! but I checked my card and call them. I have to check my card closely if I want to have their service in the future !!! . I never had this kind of problem before.
Worst customer service I’ve ever received. Over charged due to the fact they did not check in the truck I returned the same day within two hours. Spent over three hours on the phone trying to get this fixed. Will never use this company again.

Does not rent equipment going out of state, even though the 800 number and website allow you to reserve it. Make sure you get the rental guarantee when using this location.

Awful experience all around. I reserved a 10 truck for same day (5:30pm) pickup due to an emergency. When we arrived, we were told there werent any available and, since I had reserved same day, I would have to take a 14 truck and pay the difference in cost. Not only were there three 10 trucks on the lot, it isnt okay that they wanted me to pay the difference when their system allowed me to book a truck that was a lower price. After that, my $19.95 in-town 4 hour rental became a $91 one-way 24 hour rental and I was given some ridiculous, confusing excuse explaining why. They gave me a $60 credit towards the $91 to make it right. And then, I was told I could not drop off the truck at the same location because it was a one-way rental cost. They instructed me to drop it off at a facility two blocks away. He knew it would be a same day, after hours drop off. When we got to the drop off place, there were no clear directions for dropping off the truck and the instructions I was told i would receive via text never came. Also, there wasnt a place to drop off the keys. So, we went back to the original drop off point. An employee there gestured for us to pull forward and then screamed at us when we did. Upon exiting the vehicle and heading to the door to drop the keys in the key slot, the man yelled at us that they were closed. Im not sure where he wanted us to go if it wasnt to the key drop off. This morning, twelve hours after dropping off the truck, I received my text with instructions for dropping off the truck. Ive rented trucks twice before from this U-Haul and Ive never had a problem. This experience was shocking and left a very poor taste in my mouth. Everyone we dealt with was rude and made the entire process way more confusing than it needed to be.
I am giving this location 5 stars. After having issues at another Uhaul locations in South Reno with a lack of organization to put notes in the order for parts, unprofessional staff, and to call me 2 two times with a mistaken date for service, I decided to go to the Silverado location. Although there was only one person working behind the desk, he was managing a much busier location in a much more organized fashion. The person who worked on my hitch wiring was also very professional and helpful.
Ive got to say that Miguel, the general manager, is very helpful, kind, accomodating, and knowledgeable. Lidia, assistent manager, is as well. All the ladies and gentlemen that work at Silverada Uhaul were nice and helpful. I truly loved my experience there as Miguel went out of his way to get me a Uhaul that would fit my needs for the time that it was needed. This is a really nice Uhaul and, I believe, the best run in Reno/Sparks.
I made a reservation and the day i went to pick up the truck they say they didnt have available and the reservations are for the first that get there.... and they did want to give me the $50 as they promise. If i could give -0 i will definitely do it.
I had a reservation for a 20 truck several weeks in advance for Saurday November 21st at 8:30 am. We had a whole crew showing up at 9 and had to be out of the house that Sunday. Uhaul sent me a text at 6pm the night before that said sorry, your truck is unavailable and you have been rescheduled for Monday at 8:30. Thank you. I called and they basically said tough and there is nothing they could do about it. Terrible service and an inability to honor commitments.
Although I sat on hold for a while I decided to just drive down and turns out they were just very busy. The customer service was great! And to top it all off the general manager decided to let me rent the hand trolly for free! Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had!

Had multiple problems with them the day of the rental (they were understaffed, crowded parking lot had no spot to park and I had to wait forever until they freed up a spot, they had lost the keys at pickup time and I had to wait a while for them to find them, they inflated the initial amount of gas in tank and it ended up costing me an additional $38 for only 25 miles worth of gas). An additional charge was added to my account a week after my move, and after they had already checked the truck in front of me when I dropped it off. I tried to call in to ask why this charge showed up and they put me on hold just to switch to a different computer and NEVER came back after more than 27 minutes of waiting...Thankfully the charge was finally removed from my card after another week of waiting.

I had an amazing experience working with Tom at Uhaul, he saved the company from getting 1 star after a HORRIBLE encounter with Jason.. I have never in my life been talked to so horribly by a member of customer service.. A day later and I am still mortified by his behavior and highly recommend that his position at Uhaul is revoked. I will be reaching out to the supervisors of Uhaul to address this issue.

Made a reservation to pick up a trailer on the website. The latest available pickup time on the website was 8:30 AM. Called the location if I can pick it up later than that, the lady on the phone put me on a 30 minute hold, I am still waiting as I write this review. Feel like people with this kind of work ethic should not be hired for the customer service positions.
Worst experience ever. Dealt with bad businesses before, but congratulations this place rates at the top of the worst list. Manager and staff were rude and unwilling to help with a broken UHaul truck. It got to a point where several threats were made and I was in fear for my personal safety because of the volatile staff. I had to go to another UHaul business who helped me get down the road. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS BUSINESS. READ THE REVIEWS on the UHaul website. ITS HORRIBLE. Three days later I was charged that deposit amount again. I went in to see why. I tried talking with assistant manager and her words were that she didnt want to deal with it so she brought the store manager. Store manager comes over and tells me that its just a hold on your account, but no one could tell me why I was charged twice for the holding deposit. Every time I tried to speak I was rudely interrupted by either the store manager or an associate. When I asked the store manager that is it okay to continually interrupt your customer when theyre speaking? He just smiles and says nothing.DO NOT GO HERE!!!
I read some other negative reviews, but I had a very different experience. I rented a cargo van the day before and it was ready when I arrived. I had filled in some info when saving the van online so when I got there it literally took less than 5 min to get the keys and be on my way.Both the manager in the office and the staff were very friendly and upbeat and the bathroom was sparkling for a public bathroom. I will rent here again.

Amazingly efficient and friendly staff! Got us out in under 15 minutes with hands on help with hook up and safety check. Busy business but I can see why. Great location near I-80, open 7 days a week which was huge since we had our own trailer fail on a cross country move on a Holiday weekend. Highly recommend this business!

Big cooperate enterprise that feels like a mom and pop shop.I had a hitch install scheduled a week in advance at the Uhaul location most south in Reno, showed up the day of the install and turned out the hitch installer was a no call no show (wump wump wwuummpp). South Reno location called the Oddie location to see if they could do it for me the next day, Oddie could do it but did not have the part # available. Though the part was not available, the store manager, Manuel, pulled a move that only a GOAT in the service industry would do. He took the time to drive to the south Reno location, picked up the part he didn’t have in stock and made the arrangement to have my hitch installed the next day! If it weren’t for him and his team I probably wouldn’t have a hitch installed by now.I’m appreciative of this U-Haul location and I recommend seeing these guys, they definitely have my business for as long as that staff remains the same. Shout out to Manuel, the hitch installer and the kind miss (who had her phone stolen the same day) for stoking me out. I hope to see them all the next time I come through!
Worst experience ever. Was given a truck with a bad battery. Road side assistance never showed. I had to pay my movers additional hours. The general manager said when I returned the truck they would make me whole and apologized but onced returned they offered me $15.00. The attitudes of those in charge are not professional to say the least. Will be speaking to corporate but Im sure it wont help.
This location is horrible, the process to rent a truck/trailer is so long that it seems like you are renting a Luxury Car instead. The staff isn’t so helpful, only one person working inside while there are at least 7 people in line. One employee walking in, knowing the fact it’s busy tell the coworker I am going in break and walks out.This is my second time here in 2 weeks and the service was awful. They need to work on improving the process, it should be quick and easy OR at least have more staff to help customers.
This place ROCKS! Customer service!! I rented a van for just one day and one thing led to another and I had it for four days and even when I was being all extra everyone I dealt with was calm cool and collected. No hassles at all. And the best part: I hooked my keys onto their keyring around day three so when my boyfriend turned the van in the keys went with it!! Three days later I thought I had lost them til I remembered so I called. Honestly the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I have never seen so many unhappy and disgruntled employees to help me rent a trailer. First the lady was sarcastic and judged me for not knowing odd details about a vehicle. I went outside to check if the hitch would fit my truck and when I came back she stopped helping me and I had to wait again another 15 minutes in line. After I rented the trailer she did not tell me where to park besides outside. I waited and waited for someone to attach the trailer and she walked by talking trash about some other person instead of asking a reasonable response of hi, someone will assist you shortly. Instead a worker showed up wondering what we were doing and I explained the situation. He was friendly and helpful. I had to go back inside to purchase an adapter and and even ruder employee interacted with me. She was horrible, the worst customer service ever. She had a huge frown. You can tell she hates life. Sorry I have to bother you, I will be out shortly. Honestly this place needs a zero star review.
Absolutely terrible customer service! The manager took it upon himself to change my reservation days before my pickup date & time without notice. The equipment offered was not sufficient and not what I had reserved. I would not recommend, was a complete waste of time.
Very quick and professional service. Like some reviews say, the demeanor isnt extremely cheerful, but what should be expected from a trailer rental company? Jim the manager took care of us quickly and easily, it was hassle free and much easier than we ever expected the process to be.
This was an incredibly inefficient waste of my time there was people out the door and one of the workers outside clearly saw me move it and couldnt pull in because of how many people were outside so I parked near the trucks and he said can you back out and I could not do a nicer gentleman helped me move the truck. Then I waited in line for 20 minutes to be told I would be charged $30 extra dollars on top of them over booking me so I could not drop it off on at the nearest U-haul so I have to pay $40 extra in miles then pay for gas all because they over booked me. Its a hot day and I wanted to go home. Because of us waiting in line so long my boyfriend was late to work and everything else. If you can avoid this place I would. This is a nightmare and I will never come here again. I wish I just had a truck to move because this is absolutely unacceptable.
The corporate office needs to investigate the dire conditions of this establishment.There were people smoking in the building!We placed our order well in advance yet they didn’t have our truck at reservation time. When we arrived it took them 30 minutes to tell us they were giving us a smaller truck despite our reservation, then told us to drive across the city to pick up a larger size.The attendant outside was glued to his phone causing confusion and delays as well as a near collision, osha would describe that as a near miss. The parking lot was a confusing mess, causing drivers to get out of their vehicles in search of an attendant.
Customer service exceeded my expectations. They got me out in my moving truck with all needed materials fast, which is especially important when moving as time is always an issue. They also searched for closest return spot to make my move super easy.
Made a reservation two weeks ago to make sure we would get a 26 foot truck, now we are not getting a 26 foot truckOn top of that, I made an 8 am reservation, and they sent me to a place that does not open untill 10 online, but I was Promised 9. The only reason this is not a zero is because they will not let me do a zero star reviewEdit: 9:15 and still not open, so the owner is obviously a liar too. Again, would be zero, but cant. Worthless scumbag of a business manager.

Be prepared to wait forever on the phone and in the store. Even after returning my equipment I had to wait an hour. Also they marked the gas slightly higher on the paper I didnt think it would be a big deal. I drove 10.2 miles and I added 1 gallon of gas. They said it was 1/8 under and charged extra. Shame on you U Haul. Also did I mention waiting forever multiple times. Take your money else where
DONT use this Oddie Blvd. rental company!This outfit is rude, inaccurate with information and were unable to coordinate between local location rental yards for equipment available as promised. Once reserved, the assigned unit was unavailable upon request and the advance payment and I.D. furnished at initial agreement was not even in their records. Had to pay twice, the second payment is STILL on hold, almost one week after returning the rented truck.
Stephanie and kiearuff were very professional and kind. Stephanie asked me before helping me if i were in a hurry because she was training a new member. If I were in a hurry she was going to make it a priority to move quickly. I did not mind the training opportunity for them. Thx.

We walked into the store at 6:55am and the general manager told us to wait outside because theyre not open until 7, it was very rude and the door was unlocked so we waited outside in the cold. When I went to pick up the rental he asked me to upload a picture of my ID from my phone and I told him it was at home and showed him my id he said that wasnt enough and to come back prepared. I left and came back but he had already closed the account for some reason, when he pulled up my account he charged me over $170 more than what I was quoted online. He told me I need to prove it was the original price and I showed him the uhaul reservation and he said no you need more proof like a quote from another company I can go off. So I showed him a cancellation I had made for penske that was $80 something cheaper and he went off that one. It was annoying because he charged me all these extra fees that I was quoted for cheaper on the phone with customer service.... the general manager has zero customer service skills. I would have gone to penske if I knew I had to go through this. When the transaction was finished I just stood there and he pointed outside to see the employee who set up our car, I went out to get the keys and the employee asked us if we had the keys and I said no he said to ask you and the employee was irritated and said I gave the keys to him idk what hes doing and got us out keys, poor boy clearly has to deal with that kind of stuff often! Terrible general manager with no respect towards his customers.
I use Uhaul trailers quite often. This location has been the best experience for me. Scott has always had us checked in and checked out very quickly.
Do not let the door of the U-Haul fly up or slam up. It will stick. Its a common issue no one told us sbout. Apparently youre supposed to call roadside assistance and soneonewill come help you .hopefully your not stuck way out somewhere tho...BUT they hooked it up with extending our usage and didnt charge us for gas and compt us a day. Made it as easy as possible on us. Thank you!!!! Great peeps
I have to be honest, this location was super helpful with both pickup and drop off - and even though we were going to Burning Man and they knew it, they supported us and gave us a break on the cleaning/detailing cost when we returned it. They had to put up with a lot of crazy stuff from other customers and they were certainly overwhelmed that time of year, but they did right by me and Im planning on using them again next year.
Although there was an initial miscommunication between central scheduling and this location, Miguel and Sean both worked very hard to rectify the situation and take care of my hitch installation. This is one of the friendliest locations I’ve encountered with U-Haul, & I plan to come back to them again with our other car.
Short version: dont go here. Choose Penske.Longer version:Heres why this Uhaul is terrible1. The parking lot is a dangerous mess.2. You will spend a minimum of 30 minutes in line in a confined space.3. On more than on occasion we have reserved a truck, dealt with the deadly parking lot, and waited in line for 30 minutes+, only to learn that they had double booked and our truck wasnt there.4. Our most recent experience was renting a flatbed truck for 90 minutes, and going about 25 miles. When we returned it, the odometer showed that we had gone 50 miles (absolutely false, Google maps verifies on our app timeline). So, the odometer is either broken or tampered with.The only thing I do like about this place are the employees, but thats not enough to make me come back here.See ya never, Uhaul at Oddie.

Made a reservation for 9AM, was running a little late and called ahead but was told by a rude employee that my reservation will be cancelled and trailer will be given away if I was not there an hour after my reservation. I explained I was an hour and a half away at most and he did not care to assist. Had to make another reservation at a different location. Get some employees that actually want to help your company U-Haul! This place is a joke.
Had an appointment at 9 to have a hitch installed called to see if I could come in early and was told ok. When I arrived the had nobody that could install until 11, then told they didnt have the part to install. When I asked how do I get my deposit back I was told to call customer service. And told they didnt charge me anything, which is weird because their corporate call center refunded the $137.40 to my card. Dont waste your time at uhaul, there are other companies that you can have do their services.
Dont waist your time or money here ..Employees are rude and dismissive..5 employees, only 1 working...Straight Con & scam artest...Miguel the GM is unprofessional and looks like he is homeless & dirty....P.O.S......!!!!!They will lie to you..Then try to OVERCHARGE YOU....Do yourself a favor and dont Rent & get ripped off here.......!!!!!
Took 20 mins just to hook up a small trailer (prepaid/there early/ready to hookup) . Frustrating.
Worst customer service I’ve ever had I was there for like 30 min just to buy a box. I was waiting in line when a new customer walked in they attended them first. I will never go to this uhaul again they couldn’t even keep track of the gas on the vans. I will never recommend anyone to go here again. Worst ever!!
The manager and front desk people were nice. The problem was we had a 3:00 appt to have light installed on our truck so we could rent and tow a trailer. At 3:15 the manager came our and said he just learned that the installer was not coming. We drove 25miles for this appt. When I mentioned this to the manger he apologized and said he “just found out the installer wasn’t coming.” Really??!! The weather was good, the roads were good, No call or anything
This terrible place is a form of purgatory for those desiring to move. I scheduled/held my truck roughly a week before our move (online), and when I arrived at 8am on a Saturday morning, the line was nearly out the front door and 2 people were working this location (the busiest in Reno). After waiting in line for nearly an hour, they told me they didnt have my truck and I had to go to the other uHaul on Virginia to pick it up. They said I should have received a text or EMail. I didnt. I remember the lady constantly stating I dont know why its so busy on the first Saturday of the month. I spoke with movers and neighbors and they were all familiar with this location, saying NEVER go to Oddie U-Haul. Its terrible. I can confirm this. STAY AWAY!
It can be very slow or average time. There prices are very expensive. Budget Moving Trucks are bigger and cheaper. They have unlimited mileage plus they have discounts too. We got discounts for ordering online, unlimited mileage, got some discounts for things we have, and WE DONT GET CHARGED FOR HIDDEN COSTS LIKE U-HAULS MOVING TRUCKS!
Spent over 2 hours on hold then hung up and called back for another 25 min just to see if they had a hitch in stock which they didn’t said it would take 5-7 days to get the parts
The gentleman were very helpful in unhooking the trailer from the truck and were very funny. It was a great way to end a cross country trip.

Service was great! They saved me about $120.00, finding the best way to work it out for my needs. BUT!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CELL PHONE #, THEY MUST SELL IT. I HAVE RECEIVED A TXT MESSAGE EVERY DAY SINCE, FROM ADVERTISING COMPANIES, AND CANT STOP IT. GRRR. Plus, there is a $5.00 environmental fee they dont tell you about, plus a $28.00 insurance they dont tell you until you get there. So be ware.
