The owner of this lot is childish and wants to rip people off!!!! I called about a car in the shop he started cussing at me and refused to check for a broken wire that I request seeing that a broken wire is lot cheaper than rebuilding a transmission but he rather rip me off by telling me that the transmission needs rebuilt not knowing 100% that is the problem!!!!!!!!!

In March of 2020 I purchased a GMC Terrain from this lot and when I purchased it the engine light was on. I was told by the owner that he wish he could sell me a better SUV but he would repair whatever is wrong with it. The truck was suppose to have had the breaks replaced and new tires on it. There service department allegedly repaired it and the engine light came back on as soon as I left the lot. I then took it to get a second opinion from another mechanic who told me they did not repair anything and they just turned the check engine light off. I went back to them and informed them the issue was not resolved and that I was told the engine light was just turned off. They allegedly put a new catalyst converter in it and replaced the sensors. No check engine light since. This all has happened within 1-2 weeks of having the vehicle. Now after only having the car 2 months ABS light is on and check stability track is on. I had a appointment for service with Renaut and it was cancelled due to COVID-19 and I have been unable to pay because they were closed. I call today to work something out with them and the owner Dylan was extremely rude. I assured him he would get payment in full for the vehicle but I would like to discuss the vehicle being serviced he basically said to me I am in collection mode and once you make a payment we can discuss repairing the vehicle. Then he hung up the phone. There sales person was so nice when I purchased the vehicle so I am completely shocked by the service I received. DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS COMPANY!

The owner is a very bad person, we put the car for repair and we needed to reload the goods from one car to another, he took $ 200 from us for doing it with the door open and cooling the room.

So i spent 2x the cost of a typical oil change for a 1.3L tiny motor and on top of all that they end up stealing my engine cover. After telling me over 5 times that they would have a tech drop it off because it was so out of the way for me (very generous offer if it was ever honored), i never heard from them. When I finally decided i would go pick up the cover myself, they said the tech wasnt there for the day and left no instruction with anyone.DEAL WITH THEM IF YOU WANT BUT DONT SAY YOU WERE NOT WARNED.

My experiences with Sommer Auto have been great. Sure, I wasnt greeted with a bright and smiling face ready and willing to cater to my every desire. What I was greeted with was someone who did their job efficiently and quickly.The man I worked with back in 2015 helped me find a car that suited my money situation, let me test drive it, and had everything ready by the time I came back. Its not a brand new car, this thing had 150k+ on it, but it was well taken care of. The process to buy and pay for the car was near effortless and I was in an out with a new-to-me car that ran well in less than 2 hours.Paying the payments are a bit of a pain (I use bi-weekly payments because it fits with me better), mainly because of the high interest and the $5 card processing fee, but thats what you sign up for with BHPH, and I fully knew it going in.And for some reason if you ever DO have an issue with payment, calling and speaking with Sommer herself isnt as bad as people take it out to be. Just now, Ive been having some money issues so I called and got Sommer directly. I told her my situation, she empathized with me, and everything is all taken care of. They may not treat you like emperor of the galaxy every waking moment, but they treat you like a human being. If you stand up to your end of the bargain, they will find a way to work with you.I know that when my car eventually bites the dust and if Im still not in an optimal position to buy a brand new car, Ill probably go to Sommer Auto first.TL;DR - They dont treat you like royalty, but they treat you FAIRLY. And thats all you can ask for from used car lots.

This companies reputation is so BAD that they had to change the name! I bought a car here, after 2 days, the starter went out. Cost me $300/ they said theyd charge me $500. I had so many problems with the car, I finally called them to take it back. I am now paying these thieves $10/month for a car that was actually dangerous to drive. These people are complete liars and thieves. Do not go near this company unless you want to be ripped off!

This company set me up with a financing company called Tebo financial, so I cannot even give the car back without it hitting my credit. Dylan became very argumentative when I voiced my concerns in a professional manner. Not only that they advertise this business as a buy here pay here when it’s not. There are other options out there from more reputable dealers in the area. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!

Initially my experience was great. But since then my opinion has changed. They were not transparent about any issues on the car I purchased. We have had this car for a year today. It had issues within the first week of purchase. The battery was disconnected to remove the check engine light. Once we drove it, the light came on. The cruise control will not work. We have spent hundreds of dollars in repairs and still have at least a couple hundred more to go. It has been off the road for the past two months as we are trying to repair what is wrong with it. They charged a late fee (was never late) didnt inform myself. My fiance went to pay the payment and was putting a little extra on the books for interest fees. Thats when we found out. He got into a verbal altercation with the people in office, he was threatened but they were to scared to act on it. I will never purchase another vehicle here. Nor would I ever recommend this establishment to any one. Buyer beware.

Ive been dealing with Sommer Auto for over 15yrs and I have always had great experiences with them, some of these reviews I read on here sounds like people that couldnt do what they were suppose to do to keep their cars so theyre mad. Any issues Ive had with any car they were MORE than willing to get it fixed. Experience it for yourself dont believe everything that is written.

The worst place to purchase a car, bought an suv and two days later the check engine light comes on. the abs quit working and they refused to even honor their promise to repair. spoke with the so call owner and they stated that they are not going to do any free repairs. they sold the suv knowing that something was wrong with it. if you value your money go else where. This company will finance through a finance company, whatever deposit you put downis pocketed by the dealership, the interest rates are super high and if the vehicle breaks down in the first 30 days they will pretend to do the fix up because they apparently dont know that Lemon Laws in Ohio extend to 18,000 miles or the 1 year. I got financed for a car SEPTEMBER 19 it has had complications since the first week. The dealership has been extremely rude refuse to fix it and will only allow me to trade the car in with a new down payment and the loan will care over to a NEW LEMON.. Needless to say I have contacted the Attorney Generals office...OH and they do not provide you with receipts when the fake mechanic service the vehicle.......

This dealership preys on people with less than perfect credit with unreliable vehicles. After paying 1/4 of your total loan, Sommer will then sell your car loan to Mid-Atlantic Finance Company (from Florida, please google their reviews) where there is no customer service standard. If you want a true buy here pay here go to Best Buy Motors.

This place dosent stand by there word, my credit isn’t bad but I only bought a car from them because I was also about to purchase a home and didn’t want another bill on my credit.I was informed that they wouldn’t send to credit bureaus, also I never missed a payment but then I get notice they sold my contract to a third party and now they added loan on my credit smh if I was you I wouldn’t do business with these guys! I purchased a 2001 Ford Excursion on October 12 2019. I paid in cash. I was told they would mail the title out to me within a week. I was also promised that I would receive maintenance records including upgrades that were done on it. After many a phone call and texting I received the title on December 12, 2019. It took 2 months to process the title!!!! I never got the maintenance records. Save your self the headache dont shop here.

Sommer Auto Sales Inc in Reynoldsburg Ohio is not The best place I got a Trailblazer make 2 months ago and only was able to drive it maybe 8 times! After having to pay for a tow truck 3 times Sommer picked the vehicle up to fix it. I got a call today saying it was going to cost me over $700 to fix!!! I’m a single mom already paying $300 a month to keep the vehicle and now this!! The people are nice but when they don’t take care of the customers it gives them a bad name!! If you want a nice vehicle that back up their customers go to Cruiser Auto!! Bob is the nicest man you could meet and won’t screw his customers over. Hands down one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a car dealership. I called in advance to make sure a sales representative would be available for me to check out some of the inventory . I walked into the office and had to approach a sales rep who was sitting in front of the lobby room television. Right off the bat, the rep looked me over and asked me how much I wanted to pay (he clearly didnt want my business). Apparently they have a strict 3 year leasing period which means you are looking at $450 car payments a month for used, outdated vehicles. I have been looking for a specific vehicle model that the dealership had and was willing to spend over my budget for this specific car. Sadly I was turned away because I apparently dont match their preferred demographic of buyers. The older gentlemen then turned his back to me and I saw myself out of the dealership. All in all my experience lasted a total of 2 min because he needed to get back to watching the television (I clearly wasted this older gentlemans time). Thanks Sommer Automotive for providing me with no information and treating me like a waste of time, I will be sure to spread the word throughout Reynoldsburg.

My daughter bought a car from them 2 weeks ago and the miles on the odometer did not match the keychain MILES and the next oil change sticker MILES.....The check engine light came on after only having the car for 2 days ....then come to find out just 2 weeks into having the car the TRANSMISSION goes out and they blame it on her putting rims on the car. The rims that came with the car were 16in rims and she put 18in rims on it...CRAZY. THE STAFF ARE HORRIBLE, THE MECHANIC TELLS BOLD FACE LIES AND SOMMER(THE OWNER) IS VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND A CON ARTIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was reading the other post and I am very surprised, however I work for a very large company and I see social media postings like this all the time, and what I learned is something my parents taught me. There are 2 sides to every story. I have bought 4 cars from them and I have had a issue here or there but remember these are used cars. Rims person, did you have your mechanic check the car out first? Thats what I do. Be smart when you buy cars.Just think about it.I wanted to add to my post by saying I have been reading some of these customers that have so many complaints, and as I have said before, these are used cars, if you want a new car go get one, if you are looking at older used cars you need to expect some issues.Sommer Auto has gone above and beyond for me and my family so my suggestion would be instead of complaining go get a new car if not understand what market you are in.I want to add that Katosha you calling Sommer racist is ignorant. Stop pulling out the race card. It really isnt becoming. If you have a problem have you thought maybe to look in the mirror.

These people are complete criminals. I bought a car and within a week started having trouble with the transmission. I cant even check the oil level because they superglued the broken oil dipstick and the superglue broke. Now the dipstick is stuck in the pipe that holds it. They basically get the worst cars they can find, slap some garbage in it to make it look OK, then sell it. Do not go near this lot unless you like being lied to and ripped off. I dont understand how these criminals can stay in business!

THIS LEFT A VERY BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF I WAS OUT OF TOWN IN ANOTHER STATE. IVE NEVER HAD A LATE OR BEHIND BILL WITH SOMMER AUTO AND I NEVER HAD TO SPEAK WITH ANYONE, BUT TO MAKE A PAYMENT. BUT THE OWNER SOMMER WAS HORRIBLE AND DIDNT NOT CARE. SHE EVEN WENT AS FAR AS HANGING UP ON ME AND I WASNT EVEN RUDE WITH HER. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.
