Tim and his crew did an amazing job on my Sons vehicle! He needed a complete Transmission rebuild. Not only was Tim patient in explaining what was wrong and why he recommended the service plan he did. HORIBLE EXPERIENCE getting a quote. I had to wait almost an hour for the owner who made me feel extremely uncomfortable. First of all it’s highly unprofessional to call the customer “baby” not once but 3 times. Also, I didn’t go in there so you could show me a transmission. All I wanted was a proper quote in paper and my questions answered and I didn’t get any of that. Very disappointed because the first man I talked to was extremely nice and informative.

My manual transmission Yaris was slipping very severely because of the worn clutch. I needed to have it replaced along with any other dependent service/replacements in the system before I started a new job the next week. The price was fair. If you need transmission work on your vehicle, you need to try these guys out. Honesty, Integrity, (and just like their name says) Quality Workmanship is what these guys are about. Took my car to another shop prior to this visit and the work was sub-par. Took my car to A-1 Quality Transmission and not only was i shocked at how much better the price was, but also at how much greater the service was all together. I will be taking all future trans work to the guys at A-1 QUALITY TRANSMISSION.

Our car refused to start the Sunday after thanksgiving. I called A1. They said they would be there Monday, but could not due to some very overwhelming circumstances. They did arrive Tuesday morning and jump-started my car, for no charge as an apology for being so late. Plus, they gave me figs. Overall, they could stand to examine their timescales so they are more accurate (we had to walk out to shops to get a lot of groceries since we could not tell when they were coming). But, they were very apologetic and did re-start our car for free!

Tim was very accommodating and even drove us to lunch and picked us up while we were having a transmission flush. The vehicle ran well for a while, but ultimately we ended up having the transmission replaced. He was very knowledgeable about the challenges this model and make have and made made sure we were completely satisfied with the work he provided. I highly recommend you use him for your vehicles service needs.

Unfortunately, I cannot say I had a good experience here. I took my truck in for problems with the transmission slipping and getting error messages. They rebuilt the transmission, but about a week later it was doing the same thing. I took it back in and they did the job again. A few weeks later, I was back and they told me it was a bad sensor and charged me another $350 on top of the over $2500 I had already paid. A few weeks later they changed out the torque converter and I still had the same problem. I put some temperature sensors on it and showed them that it was overheating, but they disagreed with me, saying that temperatures in the 270 range were fine. Finally, after almost 9 months of going back and forth, I figured out it was a small thermostat outside of the transmission. I took it back and told them about it. They said they checked it and it was fine. I replaced the thermostat myself and my transmission has been fine ever since. The short of it is, While they did make a significant effort, close to $3000 on my part and almost as much on them in labor was spent over a $30 part.

Grateful! I went in for a transmission flush and turns out there were other issues with my Jeep. Not what any owner wants to hear. TM was kind and patient in explaining the repairs that needed to be done. The quotes for the labor were very fair and throughout the whole process I felt liked a valued customer. TM was aware of my one vehicle situation and even though I had to leave my car for a day and half, the team made sure I got my Jeep back in a timely manner. Excellent customer service and work. Today was my first experience going to this shop and I love it! The customer service is excellent, they are honest! I thought today I would have to spend $100 plus dollars on a transmission flush, the manager told me no I’m not charging you for something that you may not need! I walked out not spending a dime, but will be going back to tip them for their great customer service!!! And I plan to refer everyone I know to this place, and from here on out is where I plan to go! If you want honest, hard working, certified engine and transmission mechanics this is the perfect spot!

They switched out my power steering pump in the time most shops take to do an oil change and promised me I could come back in a few weeks to get my tires rotated for free bc they didn’t currently need the service. HONEST, trustworthy, and quality! I took my car to a brake shop in Plano and they acted like my brakes were going to go out at anytime and it was going to be an $800 fix. I took it to Steve right after and he confirmed Nothing was wrong with my brakes and even topped off all of my fluids for no charge! I won’t take my care anywhere else!

He did amazing job for my Jeep. My car had transmission sign was on so I went to jeep transmission place and they did only upgrade my screen... and they said nothing has problem.. and it took 3days to pick up my car.. to do the “upgrade the screen..” I found this place and he found out what was the problem in my car less than 10minutes... and to fix the car in 24hours. And my car drives well and I’m really glad I can found the place like here. Definitely I recommend this place! Amazing experience ! They didnt find any major issue on my car so they decide not to charge me. They are really nice and professional. I do not write many reviews but I strongly suggest this place.

They are laser focused on your cars mechanics because they dont do tires or inspections just transmission and auto repairs. As a result when they were investigating an engine noise they spotted a serious problem with my wifes car and its motor mounts that probably saved her from having a serious accident. The quality of their work was excellent and THEIR PRICES ARE ALSO VERY REASONABLE. I wont take our cars anywhere else for mechanical repairs. THEY ARE THE BEST!

Best auto shop in Dallas hands down! Drove from DE to TX in a hummer that broke down. Went to another shop and they misdiagnosed the problem that would’ve cost over 4,000! Then Tim gets my car towed and gets the problem right and fixes my car and plus more. So grateful for this shop! 😊

I had my 17 yr. old daughters 2012 Ford Focus towed to A1 Quality Transmission & Auto Repair on June 30, 2019 when it died in a shopping center and would not start. They found that the fuel pump needed to be replaced and the gas gauge was not working properly. Taeb at A1 was amazing and worked with us to make sure we understood exactly what was wrong with the car and what needed to be fixed. He was so helpful and compassionate. It is a bit of a drive from our Frisco home but well worth it. We will definitely be taking her car back if needed and I will be taking my car any time I need repairs as well! Its hard to find an auto repair shop that you can totally trust not to try to do unnecessary work but this place is definitely a trustworthy establishment! Thank you A1!!

Been here multiple times already and what can I say! The service here is excellent. I have been to too many mechanics before but by far this is the best I’ve been to. I recommend this place to anybody who wants a clean service or repair to the car.

Excellent service, great prices and product. Was quoted $1265 for a clutch and flywheel repair on a 93 Accord manual. Lewis at A-1 offered same repair for $600 and had it done in 3 1/2 hours. Car runs great again with a 12 months and 12,000 mile warranty. And Lewis is real easy to talk to and a lovely wife (had to bro). Point is guys know their stuff and WILL take care of you. Highly recommend.

My car has been here 3 times I’m in 6 months.1. Brought vehicle in for valve cover gasket replacements. They told me that my camshaft position sensor was leaking oil and that would be replaced as well.Got the car back. Plastic fan shroud was broken. Definitely was not broken when the car was dropped off. Their response was “we did not do that.2. A couple weeks later, I noticed oil leaking again. It was coming from the camshaft position sensor. The one they told me was going to be replaced.Brought it back. Since it was not listed on my receipt, I had to pay for the CPS to be replaced. And they also redid the gaskets because they were also leaking in the corners (just replaced)3. Fast forward about two months . Check engine light has been on and off every couple start ups. Code checks out for vacuum seal failure/misfire.Bring car back to a-1 for oil change. A couple of days later, I find a big oil stain in my driveway. Look under the hood and the oil cap is loose and leaked oil. Started digging around some more I realized the plenum spacer is now cracked and the bolts that hold the upper intake to the engine are not in the right locations and clearly over torqued causeing the plenum spacer to crack (which is the cause of check engine light and terrible idle and misfires)When confronted, a-1 was unsure of what oil was used and would not offer and reimbursement toward the now needed repairs. They offered to top off the oil and said “I’m sorry”The owner has not been reachable. Funny, when I called for work to be done he called me himself to give prices. He even left me a voicemail. But now that there is a problem and his employees made a mistake, he’s nowhere to be found.Please be kind to your vehicle and take to a place that actually cares about you and your car.

I went their just to fix my car signal lights. He put the wrong fuse and the VSA and engine light turned on. He tricked my by temporary disabling the engine light and after few hours the engine light turned back on and my car wasn’t starting. I don’t know about other people but I had worst experience with these people and would never recommend them. Paid a lot to fix that issue they created instead of fixing the one I already had.

I guess everybody will go there now. i bent the band on my jag 6 speed and they replaced it in less than a day,, and gave the the .. and for 2000 instead of 5000

Having owned a limousine company for over ten years plus our own four vehicles I have had a lot of dealings with automatic transmission businesses. I have finally located one that I am proud to recommend. My Ford Excursion had a small leak in it. The first transmission shop I took it to estimated the repair to be around $750.00. I stopped at A1 Quality Transmission & Auto Repair, 405 S. CentralExpwy, suite 138 and they sent one hour with two technicians inspecting and making the necessary repairs which consisted of replacing or tightening the clamps on all the lines going into the transmission and test driving it. They also informed me that three other recommendations the first company told me about where not needed. They only charged me $115.00. They are the most honest, courteous, and appreciative automotive repair shop I have every used. I highly redeemed them before you have any repairs made to your vehicle. Jimmie Badgett

Car Is running great, so a month after I got my car fixed it messed up again same problem and tim said that was not under warranty, you have to read the fine print on the contract you sign so I took it back to him another couple hundred dollars so they said they fixed it well another month later and the car is doing the same thing Ive lost over 1800 dollars and my car is in the same condition when I took it in. Everything was great at begging now its just a nightmare
