Very quick to take care of my oil change and tire rotation, as well as filter replacements, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately $192 was NOT what I expected to pay. Never thought to ask for pricing ahead of time, so that one is on me ...but Holy cow that was insane! I even shared my surprise as they told me the total and unfortunately I wasnt offered to look online for any savings coupons, again thats on me.The lobby was very clean and cool inside which is sometimes hard to find.My only complaint would be that the prices are outrageous. I will from now on take my business back to Midas where they charge me a little under $60 for a full synthetic oil change & tire rotation.
Successful in getting inspection and oil change in Plano which was a world of difference in attitude and quality service. It’s a shame people can’t depend on this neighborhood business to keep customers returning for repeat car care.Reply: That is untrue as I asked to speak to manager and was told that the inspector had the right to refuse service to anyone. Which he was refusing to inspect my car. He had heard what I said about not liking the inconsistency of the prior inspector earlier this year and would use the other location. So, I left without speaking to a manager and two of the employees were witness to that conversation.

Saw the $5 off coupon for the state inspection so went in to do the inspection there. Confirmed with the tech multiple times to make sure I have the coupon for the discount and want to use it. But after I declined the techs recommendation to bleed the brakes since they seem dark since I do my own brakes. The tech refused to honor the $5 coupon and insisted that he did not see the coupon and would not honor it. Nice way to gain trust for future business....will not come back again. After reading the reviews of this location, I think I dodged a bullet there and luckily I refused their recommendation for service. What a shady place. avoid at all costs.
Service is amazing but locations are pretty straight forward and honestlast time I came in with a plastic piece dragging under my car when they got it in they were able to re secure it when i asked them how much I owe they said nothing obviously if u work u should be paid for a service but these gentlemen declined and said not to worry about it great servicealso figured i would add this as a final note I have read both positive and negative reviews and dont be offended by this statement Im truly not trying to offend anyone but if you bring a high end luxury car like a porche macan or a lotus or anything that is 70k high end or sport then dont get upset these smaller franchises tend not to touch expensive vehicles because most people who own them go to the dealership a few bad apples lets be real every job out there has a few bad apples here and there that doesnt mean that everyone that works there is incompetent so brash to judge try the experience see for yourself I like this location

UNTRUSTWORTHY! MANIPULATIVE! NO INTEGRITY!Went in for an oil change and check engine light diagnostic.The “mechanic” or rather crooks stated that I needed to bring the car back no later than 2 months or the engine would be damaged. Stated needed all this extra stuff done in order to fix the check engine light. Went back in for the service recommended and come to find out they took the car to another location and did not advise the mechanic that the check engine light was the reason for the service. Soon as I drove off my car was smoking inside and out. Took it back immediately & was informed to go to the other location where it was worked on & they claimed to had notified them I was coming.The mechanic there at the other location admitted fault for the oil/smoke and said he’d fix it he knew what he had done wrong. But he wasn’t informed the engine light was the reason for service or that I was returning due to it smoking. The mechanic said what he was instructed to do would have never fixed the check engine light issue in the first place. That what was fixed was not necessary at the moment & could have waited & would not have damaged the engine like they had initially stated when I took my car in for the first oil change. Took my car in Sunday & didn’t get it until Thursday evening. Needless to say the check engine light is still on!!

Id previously posted a negative review of the Belt Line location but Bill over at the Central Expy location reached out immediately and let my husband know that there mustve been a miscommunication between the two. I really appreciated the prompt follow up and am currently waiting while Bill checks my car. I hate to think the guys at the other location made him seem unreliable because he seems to be a pretty badass guy. Only giving 4 stars because the Belt Line guys didnt seem as eager to help, but Bill gets all the stars from us. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I have been coming here for 20 years. Recently they seem like they have gone through changes. The last time that came in for an oil and filter change. Two days later my oil light comes on while on the hwy. After a tow truck and several days of trying this and that it came down to either a bad oil filter or it hadn’t been changed in a while, either way is unacceptable. My truck has not been the same since and that oil change cost me time and money. When I told the Kwik kar crew they just shrugged their shoulders. It’s not the first time I have had issues here but it’s the last time for me.

Untrustworthy. My sister in law just came from there. They had quoted her $400 for new brake pads on all four wheels. When I pointed to the (like new) brake pads in the front of her car she told me that the salesman wasn’t even pointing at those. I suggested she avoid this place and now I’m giving y’all the same suggestion.

Went here for an oil change on my 2014 Porsche Macan - bad idea. I should have known when the ask for mobile 1 synthetic seemed to throw them off. Suffice to say, I paid and left and about 2 miles down the road my low oil late came on, followed shortly thereafter by my ‘stop driving’ light. I pulled over, blocking traffic on an exit ramp (no other option), cops had to show up, etc...they came and blindly poured in two more quarts, citing a problem with the gauge at their shop. I ended up calling and getting a flatbed to the Porsche dealership to make up for their incompetence. $400 later and a waste of a half day, 3 days without my car, etc. and here I am - to warn all of you NOT to go here.
I highly recommend this to everyone because they were able to efficiently find out the real problem to my engine light being on and it was fast and easy

I went to this location to get my oil changed, and they did a good job on that. But they told me I had a broken motor mount and transmission leak, and quoted me a grand to fix it. I had my car looked at, at another shop, there is nothing wrong with my motor mount (any of them) and I do not have a transmission leak. They were just trying to scam me out of a quick buck.
This shop is convenient and honest. I despise taking my vehicle to the shop for anything but these guys made it easy and had great service. Best part is they were honest. I thought something was wrong with my Engine but the mechanic trouble shot it and saved me money when he could have charged me. I’ll got to an honest mechanic any day of the week.

I only needed my state inspection, but they were also thorough in checking what was still covered under warranty, what was due for service in the future, and ensured I understood what my auto needs to run smoothly. Integrity is paramount! This place earned my future business! Took my new car in for my first oil change. The gentleman greeted me, didnt catch his name, he got in the car and saw the dealership Mobil 1 sticker and said he didnt think I needed to get my oil changed. He took it in the bay and checked the car. He said my car has and takes full synthetic and thats what it had in it. He then went ahead and set up the information system in my car that will let me know the exact mileage and when to get the oil changed. Helping me get the maximum $ out of my oil made me appreciate the integrity of this place. I AM A CUSTOMER NOW!
Employees eating while working, 1/3 of the employees are on their phones.It used to be an honest place where you could trust the mechanics doing their jobs but now i see them more interested in their phones instead looking at the computer or the car engine.So it leaves me with more doubt than confidence that they did what they supposed to do.This review was an observation; if i notice this while sitting down in the waiting room lets not mention the people sitting around me thinks.Hopefully this review helps this business in the future.I dont think my review was an exaggeration .Like it was stated before in the previous review it was an observation.Came in for to check an oil change, check air tire pressure, and check windshield washer fluid.Only notice the oil change was change out of the 3.The employee told was done, after paying and then getting out of the waiting room they back up my car again to check the oil leakage that it was notice.If you review the cameras like you said im really attentive sitting down in the waiting room looking through the glass.My review was not meant to put your businesses out or was meant solely on emotion it was meant to help your businesses to grow forward and to let you know in our perspective as a customer what we thought.
I needed to get my inspection done and was recommended by a friend to get it done at this location because of the great management. I got there pretty early on a Sunday and was immediately helped. The staff was courteous and seemed very knowledgeable about what they were doing. I normally go directly to Toyota to get my regular maintenance done, but I will definitely start going here.

Great place for state inspection. I picked a non-busy time apparently, was out in 20 minutes. Got a discount coupon in the mail. I think their website might have one as well. Courteous and efficient staff. Easy access location.
Can’t recommend this location/shop enough! The owner, Sagar, is trustworthy and honest. It means the world for those of us who don’t know about cars to be able to trust that our vehicles are in excellent hands!
Deceptive and fraudulent!We took both of our vehicles in for inspection. when we took my wifes vehicle in, we were told we needed the transmission fluid changed. they showed us a dipstick with burnt smelling? on it but then again the whole place smelled like the burnt fluid, reluctantly I agreed, ( it was not like that before I took it in, because I inspected the car). this was on December 4th. 2019. mileage was 76539. We just took the car into Mazda for a recall notice (02/04/2020) and was provided a video showing that the transmission fluid was dark and needed changed?? that was less than fifty miles since we took it to this Kwik Car. I believe we were scammed,,, I can assure you we will never be back and I recommend you stay away as well.........
Not high quality service.They didnt do any checks for the car and charging premium more than dealership.Even oil warning light wasnt reset.
Arrived shortly after the start of business and was seen immediately upon arrival. The staff was up front about the cost of inspection. I was quickly notified about bulbs that didnt pass inspection, and new bulbs were quickly ordered and delivered. The mechanic was thorough and comprehensive in explaining what was found. The staff was also friendly toward veterans.
Went in for a quick oil change. Fast, friendly service. Waiting area was small but clean. Able to observe work being performed to guard against fraud. Will go again.
First of all this place was super fast!!! I took my BMW in for an oil change and it literally only took 30 min. About 10 min before my car was finished they took me out to the garage and showed me my air filters and suggested that I get new ones when my next oil change comes around. Tyler worked on my car and he was super helpful with all my questions Austin at the front was nice too! Great establishment!
I recently started bringing all my vehicles to this location. The service is great and timely done. What I appreciate the most is the honesty and the fairness from the crew. But the thing that keeps me going back to this location the most is that while you wait, they make you feel at home and try to accommodate you the best way they can! Thank you!
My daughter took the car into this place for an oil change on Dec. 29. They told her the front brake pads had to be replaced and quoted a price of $139.00. On Feb. 16 she brought the car back, they said they replaced the front brake pads and charged her a total of $172.35. The next week the car started making a noise so she took it back to them and was told the driver side strut had collapsed and was given a quote of $505.57 to fix it, along with dire warnings of what would happen if she continued to drive the car.At this point, I had her take the car to a garage I had been using for the past ten years. The mechanic said the front brake pads had not been replaced and they were worn thin. He did say that the back brake pads looked new but had not been greased nor had the rotors been turned.Also, one of the lug nuts was missing from the back tire. Very Disappointed in their service and believe these people are not trustworthy. Neither my daughter nor I will ever use their services again. I would give them a rating of negative 5 stars if it was possible.
I recently moved to the Richardson area from Uptown where I had lived and had my car serviced by the same professionals for those years - since moving to the Richardson area - I was torn to continue my service in Uptown or find a Service Center closer to my current address - I decided to go with the Kwik Kar center closest to my new home - it was a great decision! They were extremely nice, detailed and truly concerned about the well being of me and my vehicle. They took the time to show me, in detail, their concerns and suggestions.....and even suggested a nearby tire center to purchase tires whereas they did not have the exact tires I needed at the time - my tires where actually worn to a dangerous level. I appreciate the attention, the care and concern and I will continue to have my car serviced here in the future!

CUSTOMERS BEWARE!I have been having to deal with this car shop for about 2-3 weeks since going to get my Registration. This is either my fourth or fifth timing having to leave my car with them and every single time they have had extremely poor communication, they have not let myself or anyone else in my household know what was going on with my vehicle, or they have said they fixed the problem only for the Emergency Light to come back on within a few days. Oh and the icing on the cake, today they closed their shop, while still fixing my car, without letting me know, so now I have no transportation. I urge anyone reading this to go to the other shops near by. STAY AWAY FROM THIS KWIK KAR!!!
These guys are solid. I get all of my oil changes and inspections done here. Ive also purchased a new set of tires, they have done a transmission flush, and when anything else is needed this is my place. They are thorough but they dont try to unnecessarily upsell me on extras. Today I needed a simple bulb replaced on my tail light and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Cant beat that.
Was recommended to this location by a colleague and Im so glad she shared! These guys do superb work. In addition to oil changes, etc., we have an older minivan and they replaced the drive belt for a reasonable price. We havent had any problems and the work was done on time and as promised. Most recently, needed headlights replaced in a VW. Not only wouldnt they charge for installation but checked all my fluids, aired up my tires and sent me on my way. They provide true Richardson service!
Went in for oil change and later transmission fluid flush. My horn was out too and they got it fixed. They were also kind enough to lend me the company car so I could get home.
Just went to get a inspection done here and I would definitely recommend this place! Great service and I didnt wait long at all! If you need to get your inspection done I would go to them. And then the tax office is only about 5 minutes drive away so you can go register your vehicle right after! Go check them out!
Have been coming here for years to get state inspection, oil changes. Some of the workers will try to get you to buy wipers, etc.there, but costs more. All in all good experience!
These guys are great! They take the time to explain what your car needs now vs. what you can put off for a little bit. Gil has worked with me to get the best deal and even recommended a great place to get other things worked on with my car. They are a blessing to work with!

Guess this location doesnt live up to this kind of customer satisfaction. One of the managers that I had spoke to there has really poor phone etiquette. If youre a manager, you shouldnt be yelling on the phone telling a customer that you dont have to help them and hangs up.
I had the best experience a few days ago with Robert from Kwik Kar. I’ve recently pulled a muscle in my back and I woke up to my two front tires being low on air. I was late for work, in a lot of pain and tried to go and put air in my tires, but couldn’t bend down far enough to do it myself.I pulled up in tears, and Robert came over immediately and asked if he could help me. I told him about the tires, and that I didn’t have cash on me, but offered to compensate if he needed to charge me.He was extremely kind, aired my tires for me (all four), and told me there was absolutely no charge.Things like this make me very loyal. He didn’t have to do me a kindness, but he did and I will remember this for a long time. Thank you, Robert. It means a lot! I will be a customer for your location as long as I can be!

Highly recommend this place. I had gotten a flat yesterday due to running over a screw on the road and they repaired the tire in no time and had me back on the road. All it took was around 15 min and it only cost me $10. The gentlemen who helped me were also super friendly and kind. Thank you Kwik Kar!
Fast/friendly/knowledgeable! The best customer service I’ve ever had in 25 years of driving in three states has been with John and the team at Kwik-Kar Richardson. Really! One time when I was out of town they made an emergency house call for my wife! Who does that?? They always explain what I don’t understand, and work within our budget and maintenance/repair priorities “right now.” I never feel like a number or an idiot. Thanks guys, you rock! I no longer dread having to go to “the car place”!
This place is fantastic! I stopped by for a quick inspection and oil change and they were friendly, and very helpful and informative. I felt like they were really trying to take care of me and not trying to screw me over, they were upfront about their pricing and asked for approval on additional services, as opposed to some places where Ive had to fight to not get swindled on even something as simple as an oil change. Definitely recommend!

When I am.in the Richardson area I always stop by this location. They are very honest and dependable. They will never try to sell you anything that you do not need. The owner is very nice and courteous.
I went in to get have my car inspected. The technician, A.J. was very thorough in his inspection. Although he was short-handed this particular day, he took the time to show me what was done. He also showed me other items under the hood that he said were in good shape...i.e. belts, fluids, hoses...etc. I appreciate the work he did and will definitely go back. I highly recommend this place.
Brought my wifes car here for an oil change. Oil change itself was fine, but expensive could have done it at the dealership cheaper but we didnt want to drive further. However when the oil change was done and we drove away, the metal shield on the bottom of the car (that covers the oil drain pan bolt) fell off. I looked and saw the bolt was missing. Mistakes happen, but this is the second time this has happened here! Once on my wifes car and once on mine. Again mistakes happen, but for something as basic as forgetting to put the shield on correctly two time on two different cars, we will travel further to mechanics that can be trusted to do things correctly.
This place was by my house and I didnt want to pay dealership prices for an oil change (twice as much!). These guys have been great every time Ive been in, and theyve helped me with other repairs that were done quickly, well, and for a better price than I could find elsewhere (I usually double check prices if I can). Best of all, in my previous car they recommended some work that they said was important, but I told them I was trading it in soon, and they told me that the car would make it fine so I didnt need to do the work unless I want to and just to ride it out. That has kept me coming back for a few years now. Definitely worth giving them a shot.

My review is for the location on NCX in Richardson but the location isnt available yet. The 2 guys that were there tonight (11/15/18) were a blessing. I caught a flat and pulled into the parking lot (it was closed) but they were working late and saw I was having trouble. They opened the garage and helped me out with no hesitation, they even let me buy a new tire even though it was after hours. Price was good,and service was great even when they didn’t have to. I’ll be back for my routine maintenance!

This staff at this place is always soooo helpful and sweet. They’re upfront and want to help in any way possible even if I say “I can’t pay for this today but will you check” ? They have no problem doing it for me!Plus they have hotdogs and hamburgers every Saturday for free when you come in!!!!I went today to get my tire fixed with Ricardo and he did such an amazing job!! This was my first time in Kwik Kar and I am really impressed about their service. Mr. Zack was really humble and sweet. They really deserve 5 stars.
Quick and professional. The city contracts with them to inspect all the city fleet vehicles. I come here a couple times a year with a bus, and have never had a problem or surprise.

Maybe theyre better after 1st cup of morning coffee. I only needed inspection. Got there early/1st customer of morning. They had me in & out in good time. I was able to use coupons I found on internet for $ off inspection. Not sure I would go back for any service/maintenance - the crew all seem less than thrilled (didnt represent any significant welcoming customer service OR come back again attitude.) Overall, I do want to thank Kwik Kar for their work/service that day.

I had my oil changed there about a month ago. I wanted to switch the oil that was in my car myself. They torqued the oil drain plug on there so tight, it wont come off. They torqued it on there like it was a cylinder head bolt. There has to be about 150+ ft lbs of torque on it.
Great experience the staff was very helpful and got me in and out extremely quickly for my inspection I would recommend this place to anybody who needs to get their vehicle inspected

When I called and inquired about it.. was rudely informed to come back for windshield wiper fluid.I’m new to the area and WILL NOT be going back there!!I will travel back to Fort Worth where I paid less and got all of my fluids topped off!!!

BAD service. got my syn. oil change for $80.the technician name is John. He said the service there alway included vacuum, windshields clean up, etc.when i got my car back, it still looked dirty.On top of that the check engine light still shows B service which needs oil change and replacement of oil filter. I told the technician to look at, he could not reset and even did not know what B service meant.Read all the comments before you come to this places. my mistake.
So I obviously came to get my oil changed. what I got was phenomenal service from Gil and Bill. As well as some of the best tamales Ive ever had. No where else can you get this outstanding customer service but also get some dinner. 10 stars! I needed this after a long week.

Ive been going here for a few years, and the employees are always very friendly. An oil change costs a bit more than some other places, but for the quality of service, Im willing to pay it. They always give me a run-down after a check up, and explain what was wrong/what was fine.

I was told license plate lights are broken and needs replacement before state inspection got renewed. I got it checked at somewhere else and it was not broken. I was shocked. I am not sure if they try to scam me. Just letting you guys know. You decide

You dont need any of the upsells they try to sell you. Tech tried to refuse putting regular oil. What a joke. Then they tried selling a transmission flush, Ask a real mechanic about transmission flushes and how unrecommended that is. Or research what manufacture such as Ford says. Ive no doubt alot of people come in here expecting to pay $30 end up leaving spending $100 or even $200. For things they absolutely do not need.
BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE Ive had in mechanic service in 25 years of experience of car ownership.Ive been a long time customer of Kwik Kar. Ive used their service in multiple cities throughout the metroplex and had been a happy customer for decades. However, after my experience here, I will *NEVER* use another Kwik Kar service anywhere in America. If you broke down in front of this place, youre better off pushing your car 1/4 mile to one of the other shops in the neighborhood.Heres the story: 3 months ago I took a 2010 dodge charger in to have the turn signal switch replaced. I bought the part and took the replacement part to them. The original was snapped at the column, and was unusable. When I arrived, the car had no alerts or warning indicators on the dash. They told me it was only supposed to take 1 hour, but it wound up taking almost 3 for the service. The price was reasonable and not outrageous, so I was ok with how how long it took. After I paid and I got in the car, a warning indicator was obviously glowing. I told them that the ESP/BAS light was NOT ON when I arrived and that it now is. They advised I drive it for a bit and it may go off.I drove it for 660 miles and it never went off. I did my own research and found that the steering alignment sensor needed re-calibrated. Apparently this is common after replacing a turn signal switch on a dodge charger and Chrysler 300. I tried doing it myself, but the ESP/BAS indicator never turned off. It came time for inspection so I took it back and explained the situation, as well as what was pretty obvious : the prior tech didnt do it right or finish the job. I explained it to 4 people. The 4th person, John, was in a hurry and didnt listen to me and cut me off as I tried explaining. He instead advised that my wheel speed sensor had gone bad (while they had it, he said it was coincidence). I explained my objections and he assured me that replacing the wheel speed sensor would resolve the ESP/BAS light.After replacing the wheel speed sensors (both, since he wasnt sure which one was bad), the light still remained on. He said that it needed an alignment, and suggested I take it somewhere else because his machine that does alignments is not capable of doing alignments on a car a car that new (the vehicle is 10 years old, if you didnt catch that). I knew after he used the word coincidence that he was just guessing, didnt wanna put in the effort, didnt care, and wasnt going to listen to me, so I took it to a dealership to get the real story.The dealership advised that the original tech caused a short in the steering alignment sensor, broke the clock spring, and stripped the steering wheel bolt using the wrong socket. The estimate for repairing this was just under $1000. I had already paid $400 to Kwik Kar and my car was in worse shape than I brought it. They wasted my precious time and wound up costing me another $1000. I got the printout from the dealership that specifically said it was short, they used the wrong socket, and that someone was messing with it. I explained this to the manager who checked with the owner and they denied any wrongdoing, despite the documentation that clearly says this. the manager said it couldnt have happened because the tech was supposed to have disconnected the battery. The current manager and owner did not witness the original techs service or have any way to verify that the tech did the the service correctly, and just assumed Im wrong and that the dealership is wrong.Whatever you do, NEVER take your vehicle to this place unless you want the service done incorrectly, your vehicle damaged, to be personally ignored, and to waste your time and money.
