I primarily place pre-orders with GameStop (not just this location) for physical games I know I want. The incentives are usually fun (posters or pins, etc). Im very much in the loop for game releases and promotions, but I felt intimidated asking about them in my first visit to the store. Staff had blunt responses and then blamed me for not asking for the right thing when I corrected myself on wording. It doesnt deter me from shopping elsewhere, but Ill make sure my future visits are under 5 minutes to get in and out quickly. Shop looks nice. Hallmark GameStop vibes

We just got out of the store looking for the Animal Crossing amiibo cards. The employee told us that we are only going to find them online, that’s ok, but she said the if the store got it, she’s gonna buy the whole box... and sell 2 to 3 cards for $300... is that what you tell a customer who is looking for that product? That you, as an employee, are going to benefit of the access and buy them all? She was sarcastic and rude. And finish the whole experience with a “Good luck.”Is not the first time that employees from this store have been rude to me, I preferred visiting the Timber Creek store, but right now I’m just gonna stick with Amazon, the customer service is better anyway.If you are an employee, and you are taking advantage, just don’t tell the customer, nobody is that stupid.

And the threat of dont lose your receipt because youre not a member so I cant help you if you come here begging for a return... Duh. Dont worry lady, I wont be back anyway. Next time Ill go to Best Buy where they understand customer service. Jeez. Lighten up already.
I like games. They have games. Games are good at killing time. There isn’t much else available to waste as much time as video games. They are the reason kids don’t go outside. I played them a lot but we had balance. Nowadays kids eat junk food and just sit there and play video games. Now you can get a job as a professional video game player. I mean wow. Male attendant spent much time on a $6.00 sale for a female then was rude to me,after I waited patiently & asked about a playstation controller. Perhaps if i was a female i would have seen this nice & helpful attendant ive read about. As for me? I wouldnt visit this store again,much less spend any money there.

Im not sure whats all the bad reviews about, but my family and I have been coming to this location for years. Ive seen employees come and go but its still a very good place to shop. Just this morning I called asking about Spider-Man the game and the guy said that he has 1 copy of a used one and even held it for me. Awesome employees and they are very knowledgable about games.

Unfortunately had a really poor and disappointing customer service experience a few minutes ago with the sales rep at this store. I received a damaged game disc in the mail for my young kids. After calling around a couple of gamestop locations, I was told that this location has the same game in stock and that I could do an even-exchange. When I called up this location to confirm the details for an even-exchange given the unusual COVID times we live in, the store sales rep refused to help in any way, shape, or form unless I had the packing slip that came with the disc. When I politely asked what information was on the packing slip that was not in my printed email receipt, he said Im not gonna get into that - I told you I need the packing slip and thats all Im gonna say. When I asked him for his name, he refused. When I asked to speak to a manager, he told me to call back tomorrow and hung up the phone. This was only my second time buying something from gamestop, but NEVER again. I just spent ~$200 at gamestop and this damaged game was only $10 of the purchase. They lost a good customer over a $10 game. Unbelievable. I will be emailing the corporate office as well about this experience.

I made a large purchase back in February from this location and purchased the protection for an additional fee of course! Well, it turns out that you have to keep the original boxes from your purchases to use that purchased protection that you buy...I was not told this back in February when I bought the insurance for these items and they should honor their word cause rest assured, I did ask questions at that time. Apparently all lies! Terrible customer service and I will never make another purchase from this company. Those conditions should be made known to consumers otherwise that makes this company sneaky thieves who lies to make a buck!!!

The cashier was nice and informative. They welcome you when you come in. The only issue I had is there was a long line with 2 staff members working but only one was ringing up customers. The other was just scanning games at a back counter like she didnt need help. When the line finally got down to like 5 ppl then he decided to jump on the other register to help.

Pre ordered some figures with a pickup date of today. Some girl calls me 3 days ago to tell me my figures have arrived and to call back to get squared away. No one answers after 3 calls so I go up there and she tells me I cant have them til Friday. I called Friday and she says Saturday the 15th. Retarded people working there! I have never been called until I can actually pick up an order. Will not do anymore pre orders from this location
Bought a used game from them last week, I usually have no issues with GameStop (at least not the one near my house) stopped into this one because I was in the area and there was a game I wanted to use my birthday discount on bought it took it home the disc didnt work! I figured it was the disc because the other used game I bought from a GameStop worked just fine and the disc would load (I tested it to make sure my console wasnt broken) but the new game didnt it wouldnt even load up to the system! Last I checked GameStop is supposed to test and make sure every game they buy is in decent condition prior to accepting and then RESELLING the game to someone else... however went in (my friend lost the receipt) and they switched it out no problem so they gained back 2 stars... But they still sold me a shoddy disk

This GameStop was low pressure, and pretty easy to get to. Theres not many of their current stores that Id recommend hitting up, but this location is one that is you have to get something from there it wont be a terrible sales pressured hell that some locations turned into.
They were extremely helpful in helping me find a suitable Xbox 360 controller while helping me save money. Great assistance for this non-gamer mom who doesnt know a ps2 from a doohickey.

The Plano Rd and Jupiter store on Dallas,Tx is sorry. Called for 3 days for hours and their recording dsys every time all associates are assisting other customers, even when they are closed. I then went to the Plano Rd store and there was not one customer..Terrible customer service.I went to Best Buy and purvpurch the new system 76 Fallout and the Turtle Beach 700 wireless headset.Unreal

If you are looking for new or used hardware then you should go here. The trade in system is pretty bad, but if you got things you just dont want and you cant sell them on Craigslist than this place is ok I guess. The people are friendly and they will always try to upsell you on anything. The Pro card is worth it so go ahead and get it.

The worst shopping experience Ive had in my life. I got charged one night for 2 playstation bundles and left with nothing! There systems crashed and never printed a receipt and according to the manager the charge would disappear within the next couple days, well, it didnt. After going back and explaining it to them they called customer service and I waited for an hour for no response! I called my bank and they said they would contact Gamestop for me. After talking to the store again, the literally said we cant do anything at the store level. Im now contacting corporate but this is borderline fraud! Never go here unless you want your money stolen.
About 4 days ago my mother and I bought a Rock Band 4 set with the Guitar, Microphone, and Drums, and got the cymbals for free. Weve played Guitar Hero on the Wii and enjoyed it; we assumed that Rock Band would give a similar experience, but it didnt. Completely different in fact and the drums were difficult to use, it didnt have a lot of great songs and the set up took nearly an hour. Only after two songs, we were just done with it and decided to take it back. We didnt have the time to return it until Tuesday afternoon, where we found out we couldnt return it, due to it being an open new game.What kind of store sells pre-owned games but you cannot return a new game? Its contradictory. Whenever I shopped at GameStop in my home town, theyd always told me:You can return it if you dont like it. They wouldnt let me return a game I didnt like, isnt that the purpose of return policy, to return? Because it was open they wouldnt take it back, but how can you know if you like a game if you dont open it? I feel robbed. We spent a a 100 dollars on a game we didnt enjoy and couldnt get our money back because of a policy like that. I wont change my review unless GameStop gives me a FULL REFUND. To anyone who reads this, dont shop at gamestop.

Picked up a 4th Generation IPOD Shuffle on Christmas Eve. They gave me a new charger and earphones, but the charger was the wrong type. It was the type you would use on an older IPOD or the old IPHONES. So I went to a different Gamestop to exchange it for the correct type. They exchanged, but the charging cable doesnt work at all. I attempted on both the USB port on my computer and an AC outlet. I called the original Gamestop (the in Richardson on S. Plano) and they said they had no control over which chargers on placed in their little box that the shuffle came in. Wouldnt they check if everything was in order prior to letting me walk out with the device? They wouldnt even assist me in finding another store to find a charging cable. The first customer rep sounded annoyed at me, which I wouldnt really blame her because she is in the customer service field of work anyways. Im sure she hears a lot of crap from different customers. The other supervisor or manager just insisted on her advice without hearing me out, the customer.Gamestop, check your devices and accessories as well. You guys check the CDs and gaming cartridges for the DS to see if there are any blemishes or damages before selling them to your customers. Why not the other stuff? Very disappointed and this experiences reminded me of why I have not purchased anything from them since 2011. Had a horrible experience at a store in California, but that is a story Ill save for later...
