First they refused to schedule an appointment for me until I had my Lens Crafters records faxed over. Lens Crafters doesn’t have a fax machine that works so I drove my records over and asked for an appointment. I have astigmatism, double vision and my eye sight is getting progressively worse. I’m not even 40 years old. I just want to see an eye doctor. They refused to schedule me. I’m insured. I have money to pay up front if that’s the problem. Really disappointed.

Wonderful kind professional service. From walking in being greeted with a smile a happy welcoming face, to the great service. I had purchased two other pair of glasses this year from another place. My experience with the other place was subpar.I determined to have a correct and proper vision exam and a good working and fitted pair of glasses. Made my new appointment with this facility Malik Eye Specialist of Rockford.Dr Anita Palmer talked with me about my vision concerns no rush rush. She asked questions no one had ever asked before. (Side Note,, I’ve worn glasses since I was 8 years old.) Very thorough eye exam. She was knowledgeable, experienced with a great presence. Highly recommend her for new people to the wearing of corrective lens world or to the the people such as myself who may have seen a dozen Eye Drs through their lifetime.The Optician was kind pleasant while being fitted for my new pair of glasses. She answered my questions. She looked at my current pair and explained my choice in those lenses and suggested a better option for me. My current pair was giving me struggles with consistent focus while reading.My new pair fits my face well. The lenses are correct for each eye. My focus while driving excellent, and while reading. I am very thankful for this great team at Malik Eye Specialist of Rockford.

Dr. Malik is a great surgeon and has a good bedside manner. He has taken care of my eyes and many of my family and friends. The staff is welcoming and caring. I would highly recommend this practice for any of your eye care needs.

Try this again cuz it needs to be said Dr mallett is an exceptional optometrist and eye surgeon, I had cataract surgery done by a different doctor Dr Miller on my left eye for to put a lens in, yes I could see better a lot better but over a few months it wasnt as good as it was when it was first put in. Cost $8,000 cuz I did not have Medicare at the time quite a bit. When I did finally turn 65 was going to go back to Dr Millers and have my right eye done I was told even with Medicare insurance and supplement insurance It was still going to cost me out of pocket $2,500 because they said I had a stigmatism and had to have a special lens. So I decided to find a second opinion so I went to the high institute of Rockford they had very good reviews made the appointment this is during the epidemic was starting to clear up a little bit in Illinois but you still had to wear a mask in the office even in the building no exceptions It was better than Miller eye center I waited in the waiting room for about 10 minutes before I was called in went into the examining room and was taken right away to different rooms for testing I was tested very thoroughly before talking to the doctor when he came in he was very concerned about making sure I was able to see I like that he seemed truly concerned I just wasnt an dollar sign to him, I was skeptical about what I was told by Miller eye clinic about $2,500 because I figured it would around $2,200 if I said that I know should be more trustworthy but, I was told that I did not need a torque lens because I did not have a stigmatism go figure then I finally told them what doctor I went to the first time they didnt ask I just came out and told them because I was beginning to trust in them I ended up paying $800 Yes thats right $800 and only $300 went to Dr milnek 500 went to the hospital It was laser instead of scalpel a lot less invasive in and out It was amazing when I went there I couldnt see anything out of my right eye when I went back for my checkup and they put me through all of the checkup procedures I was able to read even the bottom line which I hadnt been able to do in years I couldnt have even read the top line 2 weeks before with either I my right eye was perfect my left eye not so Dr melnick fixed my left eye and he said that was in the charge for everything I couldnt believe it It was amazing this man is truly helping people the staff are great always smiling I just cant say how happy I am that I went to him now my wife is going to use him, and anybody else that I know I am sure going to let them know about eye specialist of Rockford cuz thats just what they are specialist Im always be grateful to them for giving my eyesight back Im able to drive again do my woodworking projects without having to use magnifying glasses which was a pain. But anyways you get what Im trying to say use this facility you will never be sorry. Great place and friendly staff! I have been going to them for my contact lens eye exam for a few years now! Dr. Malik is great, highly recommend.

Staff is polite, but the doctors have zero compassion or bedside manner. Just want to do their exam and get you out of the room. Waste of my time, money, and effort attempting to get treated what is for me a very difficult area of the body to deal with. Doctor couldnt have cared less why I was there, or what had happened prior to my walking in. Just wanted his poke, prod, and run me out of the office. Will never go back.

I’ve seen Dr. Malik a couple times now, once on an emergency (to me) basis. I have a history of a brain tumor and was having some symptoms that had me concerned. They got me in a dilated my eyes and eased my concerns. Most recently I went back to get a new glasses prescription and in the middle of the COVID pandemic the staff was all very friendly and helpful in keeping everything moving smoothly.

Called for an appointment; they asked for my social security #. Nope. Ive never given a doctor my social security number.....EVER. Strike 1. Then I asked for a specific doctor based on my friends recommendation and they made the appointment with a different doctor. ??? Strike 2. Ill look for another provider. Thanks.

I would highly recommend Eye Care Specialists of Rockford. The staff is so warm and friendly and make me feel comfortable. Dr. Malik couldnt be more professional.
