Though I mentioned, at the outset, that I would be unlikely to buy new frames & new lenses that afternoon, Antonio nonetheless spent considerable time with me, offering low-key, yet candid guidance on which of my old frames (but still stylish!), or potentially new frames, might be best for me - without bias toward my buying a new pair of frames. I lost over $200 there. They sent my frames to the lab and the lab messed them. I couldnt read street signs in the day time. My husband said was able to get replacement lenses because they did that for him. Not only did they not do that for me, they said in order for them to replace them I would have needed to buy insurance at the time of purchase. So, no warranty. This is because I brought my own frames, I guess. Either way, I paid for a product that didnt deliver. I wont be going back.Update: A customer care exec called and left a voicemail about this review to see if they could help. I called them back a week after week (I was very busy), and they never called me back. I guess they realized they couldnt help me? I dont know. Im still not going back there ever again.
This place was AMAZING. I haven’t gotten my eyes checked in years, so I figured it was time and made an appointment. They had very good availability and fit me in ASAP. All the staff are great, but I want to especially thank Hanna! She went ABOVE AND BEYOND. She gave me honest opinions on frames and was so sweet. I’ll definitely be returning to this location for all my vision needs, especially because of Hanna!

Poor customer service. They cannot complete the most simple tasks that an optometrists office would be expected to, that is order glasses or contact lenses and notify the customer when they arrive. My eye Dr. deserves negative stars.I went to their store in Feb2020 and experienced their awful service then. It took 4 months to get my contact lenses. They are clearly inept.I finally got smart and went somewhere else in 2021 and received good service. I got glasses in less than 2 weeks. However, in February I started receiving phone calls from myeyedr harassing me to return to their store and have received them every month for the last 8 months despite making it clear that I will never return to their store. Additionally I have and will continue to update my poor review as the calls continue. Its a pity that many good businesses have permanently closed during the pandemic and yet this horrible place manages to stay open despite abysmal customer service. They are the absolute worst.Update - they still continue to harass me with phone calls after I found a competent optometrists office. Stay away from MyEyeDr. They are terrible.
I have been bring my 2 boys here for at least 6+ years. Never had a serious problem. Last year they forgot to order my sons glasses and had to wait a month. But they were very apologetic and tried to fix it as fast as they could. But now, I am extremely irritated with this place. I can’t get a proper response as to what is happening.I order a replacement pair of glasses for my son on February 25th 2021. I was told it would be 2 weeks. I called on February 26th to make sure the order was placed because of the issues I had the year before where they forgot to order. I was assured that the order was placed. I call on March 12th to make sure the glasses were ready for pick up. I was told it could take 2-4 weeks. And they would be ready by March 27th. I was very unhappy because my son can not see. But there was nothing I could do. I call on March 29th annnnnnd they were not ready. I spoke to a manger because at this point I’m fed up. She assured me that they would be ready by Thursday April 1st.It is now April 2nd and I was told it will be another week!!!! The lady I spoke to said that they were ordered on March 12th! I am so irritated at this point and I can’t seem to get any answers. This will probably be the last time I bring my boys here. After being a loyal customer for many years. I just want my sons glasses.
I am definitely coming back for my future exams and to get all my eyeglasses and contacts from My Eye Dr. The people are very helpful, kind and extremely courteous and above all very professional. This applies to everyone that I came in contact with from the office manager Haana, Erick, Antonio, yuris and Dr.Michael Chait. The doctor took his time examining my eyes and made sure I got the correct lenses that suits my vision the best. Haana also is a big asset to My Eye Dr. or any place that she works for should be very lucky to have her. She is very courteous and knowledgeable about the insurance and benefits. She goes out of her way to help anyone who walks into the office. Very easy to deal with. I got a vey excellent deal on my eyeglasses and contacts that cant be beat. I definitely recommend this location on Rockville Pike to anyone who needs an eye exam, eyeglasses, or contacts. You cant go wrong by going to this office.
Very disappointed with their service. Several young kids operating it. My daughter’s frames for her glasses were broken, went there and they placed the order for me. I emphasized she needs them very quick because she wont be able to attend her online classes. They placed an order last Thursday and i was told it arrives 3 to 4 days. After one week today i called to check on the order, i was told it may takes another 3 to 4 weeks to arrive. How possible to wait 3 -4 weeks to replace your broken glasses?.
My insurance was being unnecessarily difficult with my order, however, Lissette from My Eye Dr handled the situation with tact, efficiency and great professionalism! Erick was also very kind and helpful! I appreciate the wonderful staff at My Eye Dr and couldnt be happier with my glasses!
I had a great experience at this particular location on Rockville pike. You’re greeted as soon as you walk in and helped immediately. They were able to answer all my questions my thoroughly and took there time with me. I never felt rushed. I went there to get a script put into some frames I already had and just received my glasses they feel great! It didn’t take long to get my glasses back either and I received a text message once they were ready for pick up! Over all a great experience and friendly staff! I’ve been to other my eye doctor locations and haven’t had a good experience like I did here.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Rockville MD location. The General Manager, Hanaa Gad El-Seed was so helpful, warm, and knowledgable from start to finish. She was endlessly patient in pricing out 3 different insurance coverage costs/options. She explained the choices of lens which particularly affected my husband who has significant vision problems. She adjusted his lenses and fixed a problem as a result of great questions and listening skills. She was so caring and a lot of fun as was her entire team notwithstanding COVID. We highly recommend them. Also a lot of brands to choose from and good prices. We even got tips for local hiking. The best.

I shared with the individual who was helping me exactly what I was looking for and she directed me to the exact collection I was looking for. She went out of her way to pick a few out for me and share her opinion as I tried them. I ended up buying a pair of Ray bans and she assisted me with the purchase. They are nice and kind to you when you buy their products. I got my pair about two years ago and back then they were pretty nice. But when I visited to adjust my glasses which is free, they didnt care. My glasses got even worse after they did and I experienced terrible service and attitude.

Last year my experience with this MyEyeDoctor was great, but this time, the particular employee that was helping me was not effective or helpful what so ever. I could tell that she treated me differently as there was a lack of greeting and help, as she greeted another customer warmly and kindly. While she was printing my information, she spent a large amount of time socializing with other employees while there was obviously work to be done, definitely dont recommend.
I went to get my eye exam per usual, Dr. Chait is great and is very smooth when it comes to letting me know where my vision has changed and what I need. The eyewear consultant was very nice and helped me in making a decision on the glasses ( I had a tough time choosing ), they laid out my insurance benefits easily and it definitely helped. I got some great new glasses and overall was very satisfied with everyone in the office. Definitely recommend anyone to get their eye exam and glasses here.
First, the Dr. got my contacts prescription wrong (the contacts didnt fit and were painful to wear. He had me try a second trial pair to make sure there wasnt a manufacturing defect, but they were still painful). I showed him my old prescription and he said they would just go ahead and reuse that prescription. So essentially I paid ~$80 for an exam that did nothing but waste my time.They also overcharge for contacts. I showed them a quote from 1-800-Contacts and they did match the price, but they had initially charged $120 more than 1-800-Contacts! I give them credit for matching, but still, their initial price was just gouging!When they finally re-ordered my contacts, they lost the order and had to re-order again...meanwhile, Im stuck wearing an OLD pair of lenses.Their pricing on glasses is also a scam. Any discounts offered are overcome by cleaver pricing schemes. You will not be able to get any decent deal/discount on glasses, despite their appealing promotions.Dont waste youre time with this place.

Hanaa, the GM is a pleasure to work with. She knows her work and is constantly working to ensure a good product is provided. I have a high-index prescription which tends to be problematic for any optometrists. Hanaa kept following up to make sure I have the perfect glasses.
Before I made my appointment I called and asked if there would be any charge with my insurance. I was told my insurance coverage would cover my appointment and a year of contacts or a pair of glasses. I first arrived, and the girl behind the counter yelled across the room to a fellow coworker (I was standing in front of her) I should have left at that moment. How unprofessional!So, Dr was wonderful! Explained everything and fit my eye vision great. He was very professional and nice. After my check up I was told I would owe $200. They said they made a mistake. I ended up after a lot of complaining, paying $72 with 6 months of contacts. I am very unhappy. I feel tricked. I would not recommend this place. If their Dr. went to another office I would follow Dr. Chait
Very nice experience. Dr Chait was thorough and didnt rush me through. Glasses were expensive but theyre brand names so I expected that. The sales associate that helped me pick out my frames was very patient and listened to what I wanted. Now Im just waiting for my new glasses to come in.

Most unreliable Eye Dr team. They deleted my previous receipt to insurance company and added charges of $250 to previous bill without my information and showed balances on me although I have a valid no balance receipt from them. Glasess also are of not good quality.

I want to share my experience at myeyedr Rockville. Once I get in the store, they greet me nicely with a big smile. The general manager there, Hanaa,is phenomenal and very professional. I only go to that store because of her. My husband, my kids and I love to purchase our eyeglasses from there. She always goes above and beyond to make sure that we are happy starting from setting an appointment with the dr. Until we get the best glasses that we can ever imagine with her the help of her great taste. Also Her staff are very friendly and helpful especially Patricia. I definitely will go back again and recommend her to family and friends.

Dr. Chait is very nice and thorough. The pricing of contacts and glasses seems high, but they frequently run specials and are willing to work with patients who do not have vision insurance. The lady that checks in client at the front is extremely unprofessional. Refuses to accepts or listens to what the insurance company can do. She tries to dictate most of the clients to do what she wants them to do. I tryed to explain what my plan can cover and she tries to push things on me for things or exams that insurance does not cover. Refuse to come here will going to a competitor. Worst place !

I have been at My Eye Dr Rockville before for an eyeglasses exam but recently I went in for a contact lens check up and I was dissappointed that they were charging me a LOT for my visit. They charged me separately for eye exam($145) and contact lens fitting ($150). I CLEARLY told them I just need my prescription for contact lenses. I ended up paying $160 after insurance and the worse thing is I feel that they are not transparent and not able to explain the charges even before they administer the exam. I was expecting to pay just $10 co-pay so It wasnt really in my budget. I know, I should have read the previous reviews.Anyway, to see the comparison in prices, Costco (you dont need to be a member for eye exams, but you need to be if youre gonna purchase eyeglasses or contacts) only charges $119 for contact lens exam with astigmatism, $89 without astigmatism. Although Costco doesnt accept insurance, I would still have paid less if I went there instead. And I have a chance to reimburse the amount I paid for with my insurance provider (Costco will provide all the paper works but I have to file it myself). It was really dissapointing because I felt that I got ripped off. If they were caring enough to explain all the charges so the patients will be well informed of what they have to pay at the end, it wont have any complains. But they were not transparent at all and not completely honest, however, i gave 1 star for the doctor was really nice and I think he did a good job but the pricing and the lack of transparency just sucks here big time!!!
I have been going to MyEyeDr. and having my eyes cared for by Dr. Chait for many years now; I had my last appointment just over a week ago and expressed disappointment that, since my husband and I are moving to another state soon, we will be missing him as our vision health service provider greatly. I was delighted when the General Manager who was there (and incidentally the person who helped me to select frames for my new glasses!) discussed that ANY MyEyeDr. location I visit going forward once we move will be able to pull up our complete records and health data seamlessly! Also, although the turnaround time on glasses is around 15 days...I received a text notification 8 days later that my glasses are ready. I really just cant say enough about the great experience that Ive had with this location and its staff.
They have a bad Customer service. I had an appointment for todayand, I went 5 minuets late they called me to reschedule my appointment because they can’ t wait for me.. what kind of clinic are they?
The doctor was nice, but this place is very opaque when it comes to pricing. I called and asked about the approximate price of a contact lens fitting and received a quote that was totally off from what I was actually charged.As this was my first time paying for healthcare services on my own (welcome to real life, I know), I was a bit clueless, and the lack of transparency did not help. On top of the contact lens fitting, I was charged for a regular eye checkup that I had already had at another office earlier in the year. Although I said explicitly that all I needed was a contact lens fitting, and that I had already had my eyes checked that year, they put me through the whole process. I ended up paying out of pocket because my insurance only covers one visit per year.
They staff were snobish, getting angry when I asked questions about price. Either they didnt know the answer and didnt want to admit it or were just plain rude/poor customer service. Expensive. Given a referral but it was not filled out, so had to go back and forth to figure what info to put in the form. Not sure the machines worked right either - results were not convincing to me.
This branch of MyEyeDr is absolutely phenomenal!! The staff is super friendly, accommodating and looking to help you get the best value for your money spent. Dr. Chaitman was very fast with an impromptu eye exam, almost no wait time. The manager, Hanaa, was super helpful in making sure that I was able to get the best customer care. I will definitely be coming back for each eye exam, glasses and contact order!
It is absolutely ridiculous that after 3 weeks and 3 phone calls later my child’s glasses will still not be available for another week because “he has a high prescription”. We have never had a problem before and last time took only a week. Same prescription.He lost his glasses and we can’t find his spare so he hasn’t been wearing glasses that he needs to see for almost a month.Very disappointed.
This was one of the best experiences I had at an Eye Doctor appointment. The staff was friendly and definitely genuine. I went in for a 5:30 PM appt but ended up getting there about 15 mins early. I had no wait time. Everything was quick and precise. I went in for the eye testing (air puff and all) and the moved to the next room to see the eye doctor.About a year and half ago when I went to another location in Rockville, the Dr. told me I had an astigmatism. They somehow convinced me to get a years worth of contacts for astigmatism...fast forward to present day and the optometrist at My Eye told me how I was at the borderline for astigmatism and that I could go either way. But suggested that if it was OK with me to not get the special contacts that it would save me a lot of money (seeing that I was so very at the border of it).I knew then and there that astigmatism=more expensive contacts= 1 years worth of purchase= more money for the business! Talk about not keeping your patient first!Love MyEyeDr. and will continue to go here while living in MD!
Dr. was nice and staff was friendly but the prices are totally ridiculous. I picked one set frames off the 2/$99 wall and was told it would be $500. Yes, I need special lenses so they wont be extra thick, but even when I bought Vera Wang frames for my last pair I didnt pay over $350. When I laughed at the price I was suddenly able to get TWO pairs for $500. After Id paid for them I shopped around and was bummed Id given in. Also, I got pink eye within 24 hours of my visit. I havent had pink eye since I was a kid. Correlation is not causation, just saying its very odd timing....

When I was tried to book an appt at the Pennsylvania Avenue location in DC, they informed that no MyEyeDr. locations in D.C. accepts my insurance and that they could set an appt with this location. I came in early for my appt only to find out that this location could not take my insurance either because of the D.C. and MD difference in healthcare. When I was about leave completely frustrated and exhausted at this point, the manager stopped me and what exactly was my appt for. After I told him, he gave me a 50% gift discount on my entire purchase and made the entire experience go from Negative to Positive. People tend to forget how much simple courtesy could affect a persons day and in turn their livelihood. Would give them 10 stars if I could 💯
