I found this space online and reserved unseen. It was the best experience: from getting it set up, securing my insurance, making payments and accessing the unit. I always felt safe when I had to get to my unit: day or night. It was always neat and clean - which made me feel good about leaving my items there for an extended time. And the online promotions offered made my great experience very affordable!

This location is pretty darn clean compared to some of the other storage facilities Ive seen. Anthony had great customer service, took the time to show me multiple units, made a reservation for me, and showed me the ins and outs of the facility. Would definitely recommend renting at this location. Very secure, all indoor, and climate controlled.

The space was convenient, the sign up easy, and the facilities were clean. I felt safe going in at various times of the day because security was good. Management was easy to reach and very responsive to my needs. A good overall experience!

These people are awesome. Every single person that works there is fantastic. You can’t find a better place I promise you that. Don’t go any place else the facility is beautiful. And the price yes some of the best around.

I had been researching various storages in the area. Farid was 1st to contact me and answer all my questions and give me a tour before I decided. Saved my reservation for me until I was ready. Facility was clean, close by and easy to get to. Not as competitively priced but the service is great.

This place is far and above any storage company in Rockville. Clean tidy and well managed. I want to let anyone that asks, if you need storage, this is by far the best ever. We have been to a few storage facilities, none are as good and well managed as Extra Space!

Clinton is by far the best person that we have had the pleasure to deal with at Extra Space. We have dealt with him since day one when the facility first opened under Cube Smart. He has always been professional, courteous, and provided outstanding customer service. If it wasnt for him, we would not be a customer. Rarely do you find someone that is consistently pleasant, conscientious, and goes out of their way to make sure that you are satisfied.

Awful bait&switch experience. I tried to reach someone and could not. I applied online and the video and written description of the 5x5 clearly shows a 1st floor storage unit. It is not-it is on a 2nd story that you can only get to by climbing up a ladder that is dangerous and doesnt even line up with the unit. There is no warning in advanced for physically disabled or persons who cannot lift over their heads or afraid of heights. It is the most absurd storage space I have ever seen. Id like to post a pic of this non-compliant ADA bait and switch storage but I cannot attach. I will work with my credit card company to get my money back since I have not heard back from storage management. Buyer beware-if it a web special sounds to good to be true....

Extremely pleasant and businesslike experience at Extra Space Storage. The Site Manager, Clinton Anderson, went over and beyond his call of duty to accommodate my short-term rental. His courteousness and reliability are unmatched. There’s excellent cleanliness and security at this Rockville storage facility. Overall, renting storage space here is worth of recommendation. Kudos to Extra Space Storage for a job well done and for hiring professional staff.

Clinton, the manager, is absolutely amazing. This was my first time ever renting a storage unit and he made the process a breeze. He made sure I knew exactly what I was signing, walked me through how to access the building and my unit, had a lock, mattress covers, boxes, etc available for purchase to save me a trip elsewhere, and made sure that I was completely comfortable with everything before going back to his day. Im sure not everyone will need that level of hand holding, but I did and I couldnt be more appreciative.the facility itself is less than 2 years old so everything is super clean, well lit, the security measures are pretty awesome with you needing a code to access everything, and they have cameras everywhere too. its an indoor facility, so all units are climate controlled.the only two cons I have are:1. it’s great that i have to actually access the building with my code to open the drive up gates, but at the same time that takes away apart of the safety factor. i have to exit my car, to walk to the door, to enter my code to get in the building, to open the garage door, to back my car in. That’s not on management, that’s just a process flaw i’d say extra storage should consider.2. there are 2 drive up gates at the front entrance and 2 at the back, so if there are folks at each, you’d have to wait if you needed to back your car in. but hey, that’s life. waiting your turn is a part of everything.overall Im extremely happy with renting here and will forever be my go to.

BUYER BEWARE! This is a nice location but they and their regional team are not above board. After renting a space in February, my rent was increased by $80 in June. Yes, $80! This was not how it was portrayed...and when directed to the regional group, they couldnt care less especially Cat. She might as well have said dont let the door hit you on the way out. I wont and I will.

The guys( Farid and Phil ) made getting the right space at the right price easy and could not have been more helpful.( montgomery ave location ).The software system is great and made it simple to complete the necessary paperwork and contract ( even for a computer challenged soul like me )!Everything goes quickly and smooth as silk.There are locations throughout the area.If you need storage, give em a call.

This facility and the people who work here are FANTASTIC! The building and grounds are always well lit, secure and spotless, so I feel confident that my precious items and I are in good hands there. The staff is what really sets this business apart from others though. The Manager, Clinton and Associate Manager (maybe?) Ashley are PHENOMENAL. When I arrived to check out the location, I was stunned by their genuine desire to help ensure my belongings would be stored perfectly. They were both so welcoming and knowledgeable. Clinton went out of his way to provide a personal consultation instructing me on how I could preserve a special collection. I really appreciated that. Ashley is always happy to provide or find answers to questions and is the absolute best example of high quality customer service. Upbeat, professional and wise beyond her years. Having them on staff gives me peace of mind. Clinton and Ashley are valuable community members and I hope they are both still well during this time.

The facility is new and clean. Staff are super-professional, friendly and helpful. Great location near I-270. Multiple entrances, loading areas, hand carts, elevators. Ashley and Clinton are great to work with and made selecting a space and signing up welcoming and simple. Based on what I have seen so far, looks like a great place and would highly recommend!

This location was a great experience: clean, safe and the staff is very accommodating. We needed two storage units, but didn’t know it from the start. They found us one close to the first, making everything so convenient and easy. They always did what they said they would do and were unfailingly polite and professional. We still have our original unit, and since the location is convenient to work and home, I can’t imagine not having it as long as we need extra storage. ;-)

Very impressed by the whole experience. It was easy to reserve a space online, which was quickly followed up with a phone call from them to ensure I knew how everything worked and how to get to my space. Once there, there are garage spaces that you can pull into. Carts are located just inside the door. Everything is very secure. A pin is required to get into all doors, as well as to use the elevator.

The storage facility is clean, safe, and easy to access. When I came to bring a few boxes up to my unit, the power in the entire neighborhood went out, and the elevators didnt work. Clint, the manager, was there when I came in, and went above and beyond to help me. He insisted on carrying my boxes up to my unit for me, and was kind, polite, and friendly the entire time. The rates are the best I could find for a climate controlled unit in the area. Highly recommend!

Just started renting a unit here, and this seems like a spotless, well-run facility. Definitely the nicest Ive ever used. Clinton, the manager is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and responsive, and he always takes the time to make sure that I have everything I need to get the best use out of my unit.

Ms Sutton is very experienced, showed me two spaces available. The process was very quick. The facility is beautiful and clean. Access inside to tenants is regulated, but of course could be beat. Having a locker above 1st floor maybe adds some security in that respect.

Staff was very helpful and cordial on the phone and in person. Facility is very clean.

It would have been great if I had the right number for my specific container. It became very confusing and somewhat irritating. Ashley was lovely. She solved the problem.Other than that, so far all is well. Hope tomorrow goes fine since I have a few things to store. 🤞🤞🤞

We’re moving soon and needed a place to store household items while we prep our house. This location is very convenient (right by my gym) so we checked it out on a whim. Clinton showed me around the facility, explained the process, was up front on fees/space and access. Ashley, the front desk staff, was so friendly and helpful the day we finalized our paper work and got set up. The facility has easy access for parking, elevators and felt very secure. Highly recommended!

In these challenging times I have, like many others, have to shift how I live. ESS made it possible for me to hang onto possessions while need to move into smaller space until America resets and we can return to larger quarters. The staff were helpful and had good suggestions that helped us choose the right size storage for our needs and it is easy to get in/out of the site which is well-lit, safe and secure.

One of the best storage facilities around. Its clean, you can find carts! Staff are all friendly and courteous and go above and beyond to help you. I cant remember the first person who helped me, but the 2nd time i rented a unit both Clinton & Ashley were very professional.

This facility is fairly new and I found the staff (Ashley, Clinton, and Lamond) very helpful. I dealt with three different people in the office over different days and everybody was helpful. I haven’t used a lot of other storage facilities in the past but this one seems very clean and climate control works. I think, with any storage facility, the biggest problem is the other users and if they screw things up somehow (mostly by moving at same time you want to) ... but this one seems to work pretty well. I just moved my stuff in less than a week ago and I’m happy so far.2 suggestions: Make the security codes easier to deal with. make the keypads, where you have to enter your code over and over, higher up — better yet use key fobs — maybe fobs that hold your code temporarily and you just use when moving alot ( ie you check them out when you get a loading dock, from a machine in the dock —- that maybe trades you the fob for a credit card... ). Entering codes every time you ride an elevator is a pain! Make elevators bigger too. Elevator doors should always face the nearest loading dock.Add hand sanitizer stations by the keypads and make sure bathroom soap never runs out!!

Ive rented from many Extra Space Storages in part because they have competitive prices and because they are always well maintained and this location is no exception! Plenty of dollies to help move your items around and its comfortably climate controlled. The elevators only allow access to your own floor and require a pin to run so I feel like my items are well secured. Ashley was great and answered all my questions and handled a small issue with my move in quickly. I would definitely recommend this location over other older ones in the area.

We met a very nice person working there named Lamar. He was amazing! He showed us everything and he was very humorous as well. He made it so that when we moved our things there, we would have the best possible experience. He told us all the perks, and they were true, without any fineprints. I would greatly recommend Extra Space Storage!

We had to find storage space quickly as the pandemic hit and everything was shutting down around us. We were so glad to find Extra Space Storage in Rockville. Their security measures reassured us that our possessions would be safe and they quickly added health safety measures to protect everyone who came onsite. Clinton, one of the managers there, was great! He gave us the full tour and helped us pick the perfect size storage space close to the elevator. The location is extremely convenient, the hours are 6AM to10 PM, and they have extra flatbeds and multiple elevators, so our move-in wasn’t a hassle at all. I was also glad to find out that they’re a new location so they have lots of open spaces of various sizes. Overall a great experience; would recommend to anyone. Thanks Clinton!

I visited this location once in person, and then returned to sign up for a cube. Both managers who helped me were very knowledgeable and kind. Its a brand new building thats safe and easy accessible. The only thing is that if you want to rent a storage unit here, you really need to go in person first or email them. The phone number is to a main office in Pennsylvania which wasnt helpful.

After so many last minute changes to my move the one thing that went 100% well was finding a storage unit and helpful staff. Clint was invaluable during my move in process. Then there was Amair (I think) when it turned out I had more stuff to put in storage than planned. And last but not least I wasnt going to keep a unit but after some thinking i decided to keep but get a different unit. Nasir helped me over the phone and to my luck he was there when I went by a week later. Helpful, simple and quick. Great team here! ****11 months later im back at extra space to and they are fantastic as usual. I really am greatful for the staff here.

Watch out - you are setting yourself for quick and sharp rate increases!!!This facility is about profiting as much as they can on you. Do not be fooled by discounts, teaser rates and specials - the company will try to recoup the cost as soon as they can.Do you homework and compare the actual rates for storage in this area and ask how long the promised rates are going to last in writing before you commit and move your things in. Apparently, I was told today that is is corporate policy to start rate increases after the first 6 months of tenancy.I have been a tennant for less then 6 months and moved in literally as CubeSmart was just build and working on a path walk in front of the main office. CubeSmart facility was brand new and Completely EMPTY. When I have signed up I was told that they have an opening special - the the first month rent is free and the rate I am getting will be good for a year. Nobody have ever mentioned 6 months rate increase. I have signed up for autopay to make things simple.The phone interaction with office stuff was also dreadful. My credit card on file got compromised during the international travel and I had to call CubeSmart to update the card number. One will think a trivial issues - apparently not.The CubeSmart employee could not get the number right after multiple tries telling me that my card is getting declined. I had to contact the bank to figure out what was going on, after much hassle it turned out that CubSmart Employee was simply mistyping my card number. To avoid this situation from happening again I have asked to update my autopay as well.Sure enough, I got a message from CubeSmart employee one month latter stating that my account was past due because the card on file with autopay got declined. The employee who claimed t be the store manager was very rude stating that is was my responsibility to make timely payments and to make sure I have enough funds available.I have tried to explain that there is nothing wrong with my card that the number was most likely recorded incorrectly by CubSmart employee during our previous interaction the month before. The CubSmart employee was giving me attitude, raising her voice and being completely unpleasant. I have asked to be transferred to CubeSmart manager and she told me that she was the manager. I had to ask her to talk to me in a professional manner and she simply hang up on me stating that it was obvious to her that I didn’t want to pay. I had to call again and demand my card on file to be updated once again. I received no apology for rude handling, not for having to correct a mistake that was clearly made earlier by CubSmart Employee.One month after this “interaction” I have received rate increase notice :-)Naturally I am researching another storage facility to move my belongings to and will never deal with CubeSmart again.
