They were very quick with diagnosing the issue and getting my car back on the road. Sean was very polite and friendly and did a great job of keeping me updated on where they were with the repairs. I love that he recommended other repairs that previous shops didnt bother to offer helping me with and the pricing is pretty reasonable.

I had a quite positive experience with honest-1 today. I first scheduled an appointment for a car inspection through their website. Then they tried to accommodate my requests and quickly confirmed the schedule next morning. They quickly finished the 100-point inspection and called me to pick up my vehicle. What surprised me is that we found this is a great car and did not found any issue with is, so they did not charge anything for it. It is a free inspection. What I am particularly happy about is that they do they job efficiently and fix only what is necessary or supposed to be fixed.

My sister brought her care to Honest-1, as my husband had used them before and was very satisfied. She was 100%satisfied with how they handled her concerns. They are experts when you need repair of any kind.

They also will tell you if something needs service but will let you know if it is immediate or can wait a month or so.They do live up to their name of Honest, coffee was good too.

I have never had a better experience then at Honest 1. I was blown away by their professionalism, communication and honesty. I brought my vehicle in due to it randomly not starting. Just moved back to MN from Los Angeles and purchased a used Subaru. The brakes started squeaking and I suspected new brake pads but nothing more. I made an appointment for an inspection on a Saturday at 8:30. I dropped my car and they gave me a lift home. A few hours later, Tom called and said my brakes are fine, 5mm and 8mm and that most likely the last place used cheaper pads which started to squeak. He said he cleaned up some rust and checked everything out, but I didn’t need any service done. Talk about honest!! They could have easily just said I needed brake pads or worse rotors also. These guys are truly honest and they’ve earned my business from now on. Give them a try if you need anything!!

Honestly, I wasn’t too impressed when I walked in. Small, the parking lot that they had was crowded.Flies buzzing around.I went to one in south MPLS, and didn’t like it there cause the guy behind the counter kept calling me sweetheart and was super aggressive towards. So I changed locations.They did a basic oil change. Customer service was fine but I came into my car after my service as done and it reeks of gas. I turn on my ac and it’s not as powerful as it use to be, and I just used it this afternoon before my apt, so hmm you tell me? Why isn’t my ac not working like it use to. And it the smell of gas is even more powerful as I use it. The smell wasn’t there at all before I took my car in. Won’t be going back to that location.The guy behind the counter was super friendly though, so I’ll give them that.

In the past I have always had my Honda serviced by the dealer, with the exception of oil changes. Having had 4 successful oil changes, I decided to have Honest-1 do several major 100k service maintenance items: Fuel Injector & Air Intake System Cleaning; Timing Belt with Water Pump; and Cooling System Fluid Exchange. I compared the price with the dealer prior to the work being done and realized a 25% savings in cost of repairs.Even though an issue was encountered during the service, the Service Manager resolved the issue and noted it in the print out on the service report. He explained the issue in detail and assured me there would be no residual problem. A free loaner was provided for the day. The work was completed sooner than expected.Mr. Lee, the owner, is personable, professional and highly educated. This location has twice done pretty major repairs on my vehicle. My car isnt nice and would likely not even be running without these guys. They are kind and honest. I know people will think this is a fake review but its not :) I dont know really anything about cars and one of things I have appreciated most is how the staff breaks things down to a lay person like myself. They have always respected my budget and they are great about going over problems they flagged but that arent necessarily something that needs to be immediately fixed. They dont try and just sell you random stuff and they have gone above and beyond with their warranty protection. There are many other mechanic shops that are closer to me but I go here because I trust them and that means alot to me.

I brought my car there 3 weeks ago and the Alternator had to be changed and the place said they were going to put a new alternator, a new battery, and a new orange light. And I told them I only needed my alternator changed cause I got a new battery recently before that and and the orange lights were perfectly fine. They wanted to charge me $1,040. After I told them that they replaced the alternator for $740 and it took them 3 days. But then they damaged my right passenger door and kept promising me they will fix it but never did and I just wasted my time there. Don’t go here.

By far the worst service I’ve received at a Honest One. I dropped my car off on a Friday at 2:15pm for a brake service. I was told I wasn’t going to get it until tomorrow morning. I told them I needed the car on Saturday morning because I have a trip on Monday and I needed yo pack and get ready prior to Monday. I called on Saturday at 11am and I was told it was ready and it’ll probably be done until 330pm. I arrived at 426pm to find out they are closed. Based on their hours on at the shop they were supposed to be closed at 6pm but online it says 4pm.I arrived at 745am to pick up my car. The gentleman that helped me charged me with the wrong price for a different car service. Then I got charged again without the discounted price even though there was a week long brake service sale.

Hard working crew. Tom was awesome through the process with having my kids Catalytic Coverter stolen off of his vehicle. They live up to the Honest 1 name.

I went here to have my tire patched. Two days later I noticed the tire was completely flat again. When I took it in to a different shop, they said that the reason the tire was flat was that when it was reinstalled, it was done incorrectly. The tire wall was damaged and I ended up having to buy a new tire.

Honest and very professional. Im a regular in their shop for the last 6 years. They take care of both of my cars, Yaris and Scion. On the last visit, they fixed the emergency brake on the Yaris. I had a problem with that break on the road, and I went to Toyotas official dealership in Lincoln, NE. Apparently, they did not do a good job since I was in Honest 1 for the same issue last week. They charged me only for the labor, although they initially thought they had to change some parts. So instead of $250, I only paid $71. Thank you for that.

A while ago I used this facility for a small repair and was extremely pleased. Today I had my vehicle in for a number of items which were due at 130,000 miles. They provided and estimate indicating the work that would be done. There was a discrepancy on the bill when I arrived to pick my vehicle up but it was resolved quickly and professionally. Tom, Jennie and Tony were customer-focused and communicated clearly. There is no reason for me to ever use anyone else. Very reasonably priced., as well.

Took our car in for a faulty purge valve. Car was fixed very quickly and runs like new! Tony (both of them!) were very professional and courteous. We will be back!

They charged me a lot of money after they assured me the problem is fixed. The engine service light came back on the next day. Then they started stipulating what can be the problem. Terrible mechanics they charge a lot of money and not fix the a problem.

As someone who has usually gone to the dealership for scheduled service, I recently went there for unscheduled service. I was having an issue with my AC on a very hot day. When I called my dealership they said it would be maybe a few days before they could get to it, and said that just to figure out what the problem is would be almost $150, and then told me that most of the time the entire thing would need to be replaced at a cost of $900-1500. Mind blown and disappointed I remembered an advertising mailer I had recently received from Honest-1 so I called. Was immediately scheduled for an appointment the next day, they were so helpful and informative. Worked with Tom! What a rockstar! $40 to diagnose what ended up being a very simple inexpensive fix.Ill definitely be back! Thank you!

I was at honest care for the oil service. They have excellent service and is very friendly. I was late for my appointment and they were kind enough to accommodate it even though they close at 4pm on Saturdays. Really saved my day as I did not have to reschedule it to another day. They had refreshments and tv to keep my 7 year old busy while we were waiting. Overall great place and I will recommend to friends and family.

I moved here from Virginia on a Thursday. 1200 mile drive. When I get here, I notice I have a problem. Googled repair shop and the name stood out. The plethora of great reviews made me feel at ease coming here. Mind you, I know nothing about this area. This is my only source of transportation. I have a car full of belongings I need to take to my new apartment to move into. No worries--Honest 1 went out of their way to give me a loaner. I might have gotten a bit lucky because its a first-come first-serve sort of thing. Nonetheless, they let me keep the loaner overnight. This concept of a local non-dealer repair shop giving out loaners is an outlandish thought where I come from. Id be laughed at if I asked my regular mechanic of 20 years for a loaner. For that, and for making my weekend productive and not a total waste, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. The staff--every single one of them--are about as courteous as one can be. We were there for a couple of hours, they offer complimentary chips/pretzels and water/coffee. Another sign they care about the customers. Now, on to the service. My car is 18 years old, and until this week, has run like a charm. Never an issue--Im overprotective of my car and take care of it better than most. Now, my baby is running perfectly once again thanks to the amazing group of people at Honest-1. Suffice to say, as a new resident of Minnesota, I know my car is in good hands. I will not be going anyplace else. Honest-1 is my go-to shop for everything car related. Thanks again!

They tried to rip me off. Said it would be $600 take an hour and a half to replace my resistor and blower. We got the parts with a better warranty for half of what they were going to charge, and with NO training it took HALF the time they said by watching a video ONCE. Then they said the labor they quoted was an estimate, Doubled is a estimate? Double price on parts? I would get a second opinion on anything this place quotes!! $600 hour and a half labor they tried to charge.. we spent $150 and did it in half that time...

They definitely go above and beyond in a variety of ways. Their service is top notch and they really care about their customers and their vehicles.

I hate shops!!! Cant trust them!!! Brausens is the worst. This shop was included until they got new management. They are fantastic. Staff is very nice and helpful. They even put my new truck on the hoist and let me go look at it. I highly recommend this shop!!!

My college aged (not mechanically savvy) daughter moved to the Twin Cities and her 02 Honda would not start one morning. Not knowing any mechanics in the area, I called AAA and they informed me this place was down the street. I had the car towed there. Diagnostics were performed, and Tim called me to let me know what work needed to be done. Ive owned this car for a long time and know its history and issues well. Tim told me I needed several items replaced or repaired which I knew WERE NOT RELATED TO THE PROBLEM THE CAR WAS HAVING. Im an attorney by trade, and it took about 10 minutes of cross examination to arrive at what he told me was the minimum amount of work that would need to be done to get the car operating. However, after this conversation, and based on his quote, I still do not think he is being honest with me. I will take the final work order when complete to my local mechanic and determine if all of the work was necessary. If it was, I will update this post. However, I am 100% certain that if my daughter was dealing directly with Tim, she would have paid at let 2x the amount quoted to me ($900) for a long list of unnecessary work. If somebody has to tell you that they are honest they probably are not! I will be calling AAA to report this vendor.

Honest One, Stays true to their name. With Franchise shops I always worry that I will go in for a 50 dollar oil change just to be told you need 500 dollars in work. This is not the case at Honest One, they are honest, thorough, compassionate and skilled. Tom was amazing and I will gladly do business with them again. They have earned a valued customer today.

FINALLY! I found the elusive honest repair shop! 99% of the time, I do my own work on my vehicles, but ran into a time crunch and needed work done ASAP. They got the job done sooner than they promised, and were very upfront and honest with their feedback about my vehicle. Theyre not cheap, but Im extremely picky about anyone else working on my vehicles. Do it right the first time if youre going to let someone else fix your car, and take it here.

They gave us a detailed break down of the cost and recommended ways to help cut the cost without jeopardizing safety or needless wear and tear on the car. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I went here to have my exhaust pipe looked at and the mechanic would not even look at it due to the noise my engine made and because of the amount of rust my car frame has. The front desk guy was nice and explained that it might not be worth it to invest more money into this vehicle which I understand, but why wouldnt the mechanic look at my exhaust pipe? Thats what I scheduled my appointment for. Pretty rude in my opinion. I just need to keep this vehicle going until I can afford a different car and it sucks because I have no idea if my exhaust pipe will fall off and tear my muffler off with it because the mechanic refused to look at it.

Manager is rude and condescending. He Was supposed to do a full diagnostic and said originally it would cost $400. Well then all of a sudden it went to $900. What happened with the full diagnostic test? It took over 24 hours for a part to come in. Basically held the car hostage. Never again. Its very sad if you did this to get more money. If so, Karma.

I was traveling across country and my engine blew in Minnesota. Stranded, I went to Honest-1 based on a recommendation from a friend. Yes, replacing an engine was costly, but they adjusted their schedule to make the repair happen quickly so that I could head home. The care and attention they showed me spoke volumes, and anyone in the Twin Cities would be fortunate to have their car repaired here.

We had very positive experiences with oil changes. The front desk guys were always helpful and friendly, and scheduling was easy and flexible. They saved us some money on tire repairs as well over other shops. However, we left this shop because for both of our vehicles they said the shocks and struts were in need of immediate replacement.They said it was bad enough that the tires were cupping and it was a safety issue. Suspicious that both of our vehicles had the same (very very expensive) issue, we took them to two other shops (including a dealership) and no such issues were found. We no longer trust them to do our auto work.

My truck has never driven so good.They replaced the rack and pinion on my truck. Great service with great price. I will definitely have all my repairs done at Roseville Honest One in the future.

I made an appointment for this past Saturday and thought I had made the reservation for somewhere else. I was about 15min late but they were still able to see me. ☺I went there to get my brakes done and was told it may be about an hour before they could at it. I was just fine with that and was with hubby and a friend, so we walked to Dairy Queen which is right next to the shop. About 45 min later, they called to let us know the car had been looked at and top please return to the shop so we could talk. When we got there, we were told that absolutely nothing was wrong with the car. The brakes were fine and didnt need to be replaced yet, but if we wanted to, we could. The guy hooked that hed be willing to take our money but that there was no need to, lol!I REALLY appreciate how we were treated, like human beings, and that they lived up to their name in being so honest and forthright with us. Its a huge load off my mind knowing that our brakes dont need replacing yet and that we are saving our money. Definitely a relief because we need to save up due to the fact that I may need shoulder surgery in the near future and my job doesnt offer disability pay.Thank you so much Honest 1!!! We will DEFINITELY be back for routine maintenance for my Hyundai Sonata when the time comes! 🖒❤😀

I went there for an oil change and maintenance check. Although they did change the oil in a timely manner, I thought their quote for repair from the maintenance inspection was ridiculous--charging 1/2 hour to change the rear high mount brake light? That takes about half a minute. Changing the spark plugs for $525? It takes only about 15 minutes not 3 hours. There were much more repairs suggested with also over-quote cost repair. To be fair, a lot of auto shop have outrageous quotes, but the tire inspection was just awful. All my tires are obviously not inflated to the correct pressure. The tires was reported rotated as well, but then my car started experiencing vibration when exceeding 65 mph. However, they claim everything was fine. They should change the shop to Dishonest-1 Auto Shop instead.

I have always had friendly, personal service with Honest1 in Roseville. They go the extra mile and I appreciate the 21 point inspection when I get my oil changed. They charge a fair, reasonable price and offer regular discounts for returning customers.

Called H1 for a check engine code that I diagnosed and resolved myself. H1 was able to get my vehicle in right away to make sure everything was fine with the engine afterwards. H1 did a great job. They did not charge me for anything not needed when they could have considering the issues that the vehicle experienced. Jeff (manager) allowed me to come back into the shop to check the work completed and to validate the issues they reported to me. I would trust this shop in the future!

Professional, quick and friendly! I went in to have the oil changed on my 04 Accord and asked them to check a few extra things that are recurring issues. They checked everything out and gave a thorough report on the condition. Ill be returning for sure.

I will never go to honest-1 again. I was told I needed a >$500 repair to stop a noisy belt. They also mentioned it might be dangerous to put off the repair they suggested. I decided to take the car to Larsons since Ive had good experiences there. They cleaned and tightened the belt, installed a new air filter they noticed was old and charged me $40. They also didnt think there was any apparent reason to replace the larger items that honest-1 had recommended I do.

Took my KIA Sorento to be Repaired. They got me scheduled same day Lower price then the Dealership and out by the end of the day! Customer Service Awesome!! I would recommend Honest-1 to All of my friends and Definitely found my Permanent Repair Shop!

8:30AM: I randomly called and said Id be able to drop my truck off for the day as I needed an oil change hoping it wouldnt be booked... they said bring it in . 9:15AM: Dropped off my truck, conveniently got a ride back to my office by an H1 employee. 11:30AM: They called, truck is ready, came and picked me up on my lunch break. Done, easy as that. They printed off a maintenance schedule for my specific vehicle as there was an item that should potentially be addressed soon. Now, I have that estimate and can plan for that in the future. Perfect.

Took my car in due to an issue with the shifter cable bushings on my Ford Fusion. The initial cost to fix was very high but due to the resourcefulness of the crew at honest-1 in Roseville location, that price drastically came down(almost half off) and that’s when I knew they actually matched up with their name. Very reliable service, trustworthy staff who all seem to really know their stuff from the office desk personnel to the car technicians. It’s rare to come across auto shops who are resourceful and considerate of the customers because vehicles can easily be a money suck but the staff at Honest-1 Roseville manages to do an excellent job of both. Will be bringing my car in to this shop from here on out for any service needs!

Had an unbelievable experience with Honest 1. Was driving home from out of town and car started stalling. I called a few shops who tried to tell me what it was over the phone along with a fairly high price quote for a new transmission and they couldnt look at it for a week. I called Honest 1 and the manager assured me that he could get it in, he had a technician that would diagnose my car, they would show me and explain the findings before doing anything but diagnosing the car and a whole list of other benefits that made it impossible to say no. When I arrived I could tell they werent getting my car right in because they werent busy! They checked me in, showed me where the snacks and cappuccino machine was and unbeknownst to me I sat and chatted with the owner for a bit. At the end of the day it was a simple alternator that they had diagnosed in less than an hour, offered to shuttle me to lunch and had me back on the road with a great experience, nationwide warranty and a belief that they do have Honest in their name for a reason. Thank you!

These guys earned my business when I brought my car in for an oil changed and because I suspected my brakes were getting thin. I asked them to check the brakes, and if they were looking low, to replace them. When I got my car back, they said that the brakes were good for at least eight more months, so they didnt switch them out, and just charged me for the oil. Thanks guys!

WARNING!!! Stay as far away from this place as possible. A much more accurate name for this business would be Dishonest and Disrespectful Auto Care. They lowered my vehicle on top of one of my tires in front of me and had the audacity to accuse me of doing the damage. The manager Jeff Holdoff makes up stories out of thin air and has a raging, extremely aggressive temper and verbally assaulted me using vulgar language in front of other customers. This was by far the most amazingly horrible and worst customer service experience that I have ever had.They also mis-diagnosed the repairs my car needed, and provided a $1,900 cost estimate for brake repair that I later learned included several completely unnecessary tasks (after eventually taking it to a qualified mechanic). I recently drove from Kansas City, MO to Arden Hills, MN for a two day work commitment. Upon arrival, my Chevy Tahoe started emitting a terrible grinding noise from the left front wheel area. I called Honest-1 in Roseville and spoke to GM Tom Watson. He accommodated me on extremely short notice and short lead time and was able to get my vehicle into service and repair the problem in less than one day. I was able to complete my work and return home on time and as scheduled. I was hugely impressed by the prompt response and willing customer service attitude demonstrated by Tom and his staff. I would give zero stars if I could. Horrible customer service. Bad communication. We dropped off for 1 service and a diagnostic to be done. These items needed to be done by the coming weekend and an appointment was made a week in advance. Neither items were done when we came to pick up. It is very hard for us to get the car in due to work schedules, it was clear at the time the appt was made that these could be done. We asked what they would do to help us out and the owner laughed and responded with, nothing! I let him know I would be leaving a review and he told me he would come after me legally if I destroyed his business.

I had a really bad experience with Honest-1. If you read any of the real reviews below, you will find theme of exploitation of unsuspecting customer. Do not even go here for an oil change, that is how they start causing damage to your vehicle. I spent more than $1000 on well running car (no issues before oil change) and then my brakes started making noise and exhaust pipe fell off from the car.

Service was good and they identified problems and potential issues I could have. However, the quote/eatimates they gave for fixing the issues were a little higher than normal. A few other friends confirmed the same about higher quotes.

Whats the two things you look for in a mechanic?Trust and honesty -- and thats what these guys at Honest-1 are all about! I was having some bad car issues and when I called and talked to Jeff, he seemed to know exactly what to say to make me calm and at ease with the process. I called about 3 different shops around the area and Jeff was the sole reason of why I chose to bring my car to Honest-1 to get repaired. These guys truly know what theyre doing and they dont try to ripe you off for your money either. They were honest when telling what needed to be fixed right away and what could be put off till the next time I had some extra money. I HIGHLY recommend Jeff and his crew, they are amazing at what they do!

Friendly and clean and quick....

I was extremely impressed by the work that this shop did on two of my vehicles. I needed to have the power steering system repaired, and they did that well and for a fair price. Then they let me know that I had never had the timing belt replaced—and it was about 60,000 miles overdue for that. That was an expensive repair, but I trusted them that it needed to be done--and they did it well.The other car had a muffler issue--and a big company told me that it would be over $1,200 to fix. I asked Honest-1 about it, and they said they could do a bit of rigamarole and repair it for $400--and its run quietly ever sense (that was six months ago).That car back in the shop with an unrelated problem, but I really do trust that these guys are going to do this job as cost-efficiently as possible.In short, they do good work for a good price, and they are very friendly and personable. Theyll talk through the issues with you and do what they can to make your needed repairs possible.

Took care of my issues right away. They also were very honest with what needed to be done and alternative solutions to problems. Will definitely be back.
