My son took a toenail to the eye this afternoon (thanks baby sister), and from the moment I called the clinic, everyone was amazing! They were quick to get him an appointment and even helped me navigate to the Kyle location (thanks Mandy!). Dr. Tomeff took us back as soon as we walked in and made him feel comfortable and at ease. She was thorough while being quick and talked him through everything she did. Ive always had an amazing experience personally and the care they took with my sweet boy just topped the cake. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

I appreciated the positive customer service, how quickly I got into see technicians and my doctor. Everyone was very helpful and answered my questions. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming.

There are many stations before you see the doctor and each has their specialty. As a new patient, it was quite the process, but it was very organized and efficient. By the time I saw the doctor, he had read the reports and had some idea of what we had told his people. Dr. Hu was very personable and knowledgeable. I will provide an update after my cataract surgery. Overall, all were professional and helpful in answering questions.

Im always treated well by the friendly staff. Recently was out of town and needed a refill unexpectedly- they did a great job taking care of me!

Very caring and friendly doctors and staff. I dont enjoy having to get eye tests done, but theres no other group of people Id trust more with my vision. They also have a great group of billing specialist. Anytime Ive had a question theyve been willing to help, and quick to respond.

The facilities are excellent. Each staff member who helped me was proficient and and polite. I appreciated how efficiently they moved me through each phase of the examination. There was no waiting period except when necessary. It was a professional and very positive experience.

Never in my life in any circumstances have I experienced worse customer service and disregard for the care of their patients. All three appointments were over an hour past time before even being taken back to a room to wait longer. My request to go back and join my elderly parent was refused. Prescription that were described as important were never called in to the pharmacy. We will never be back.Postscript - the response to this review and corrective actions were very positive.

This review is based on my first impression and communication with the intake/scheduling staff. Customer service is important to me and appointments are nerve wrecking already, so a warm welcome goes a long way. When I called to schedule my appointment, the first question I was asked was what insurance I had and then of the details of said insurance. Well, because I was driving I said I was willing to schedule now and had already completed the new patient paperwork and would send it once I got to a stopping point along with the insurance info. I asked if that would be ok but she declined stating they had to get insurance info before they could schedule my appointment. I said I’d have to call her back. She was very abrasive and never even asked my name. Very disappointed. I’ll make the drive to South Austin to the Howerton Eye institute- they were so kind and patient when I dealt with them a month ago for a friend who needed a little help scheduling.

Very friendly. I enjoyed trying on all the glasses with all the different colors. The girls were very helpful with what I was looking for.It was nice going in and being Greeted as soon as you walk in.Awesome lady’s that work there

Great experience! I was given the proper attention I like at a doctors appointment. Everything was explained thoroughly to me.

As usual, everything was great! Just wish you would put some bafflesin the ceiling to absorb the high-pitched voices echoing off the hardsurfaces! Dr. Hu is always VERY NICE and very capable!

The staff are careful but the check-in process is easy. The doctors are great (particularly Dr. Welch!) and are quite thorough. I feel quite confident about the care I receive there and glad they are in San Marcos.

The reception was very courteous and the doctor was quite receptive to the information I was able to share; I have a history to share that he fully appreciated the value of and expressed such.

I didnt have to wait at any time at all, the staff was so friendly and kind! Dr. Welch is always so nice and he is sure to tell me everything about my exam, answer all my questions and address my concerns. I am a person who wants to hear things straight and not dance around them. Dr. Welch does that for me without being dismissive like so many Drs are when asked this. CTEC provided a clean, comfortable environment and friendly, professional service.Dr. Osa is incredibly sharp, competent, and cool. I would feel confident moving forward with any necessary treatment, under her care.Helpful hint: if youve been dilated, either have a ride arranged or wait a bit, but definitely take the special shades they offer you. Photochromic lenses or sunglasses will not provide enough coverage.

I am always greeted by friendly professionals with a short wait. All measurements and tests taken quickly. Dr. Osa is very thorough as well as educational. I thinks very highly of the CTEC.

Wow! what a place. I always enjoy my interactions with the folks at CTEC. Dr. Hu and Tomeff were so efficient and easy to talk to when I first started there. The real story is with the folks who work the counter and exam rooms, all of my visits were easy to schedule and the folks always positive and respectful. The highlight of my experience there is with Miss Rachel, who has helped me beyond what a patient should expect. Once when I sort of messed up my exam results by not being more sure of what was a better view, I bought glasses that were not working so good. Miss Rachel took me under her wing, worked on my prescription and when it still didnt work out for me, started from scratch to be sure the script I got was the right one. She let me come in unannounced and still helped me out, after at least an hour, we finally nailed it down and I got the perfect prescription. What blew me away was when I discovered that Miss Rachel Briggs is the Chief Operating Officer of CTEC, yet she took on the job of making sure I was taken care of. What an outstanding example to those who work under her guidance! I cannot praise her or the folks there enough. I promise you will love it there and will want them to take care of you too! I was seen right away and never really had time to read news articles or Instagram on my phone since the wait time was really non existent. Dr. Osa was great and very accommodating for my need for a letter explaining my diagnosis to the VA. So glad I found an ophthalmologist so close to home.

Dr Welch & his entire team are terrific! I still cannot believe I can see without glasses - after 60 years with thick glasses. He is medically conservative, knowledgeable & caring. The office is friendly & run like a tight ship!

Dr. Welch is a great doctor! He performed cataract and lens implants in both eyes. The entire staff is competent, friendly and professional. It is a well organized office. I would recommend Dr. Welch to anyone needing an outstanding eye doctor.

You may have to wait longer for your appt with Tomoff, but SHE IS WORTH IT!! She may be an optometrist, but she acts like an ophthalmologist and her curiosity level to figure out puzzles is outstanding. I find I need this and appreciate it more as I get older. Keep up the strong work CTEC!

The new location is excellent. Easy to find and great parking. The interior is large with a great layout. No wait, went right in to my appointment and was out in about 45 minutes with a complete exam. Very friendly and helpful.

Courteous, Cheerful, Efficient! The new facility is much too spacious and stark or sterile in appearance for my liking but I dont have to work there! However, if I did work there, Id be tempted to wear skates during the work day. As long as employees are treated with respect and are happy with the new facility, they will pass their happiness, efficiencies, and their courties onto customers...thats good enough for me! The staff and particularly Debbie, Dr. and Mrs. Pickett are always personable, efficient, and happy folks! Love the people! Dr. Pickett is very thorough in his exams, his explanations of results, suggestions and considerations. He always answers any question we may have. Hes a great doctor and good friend!

Appointments can be made easily online and a person will contact you. The center in San Marcos is easily accessed from the frontage road. Office is very clean and efficiently run by a nice staff. Covid protocol is still in place so wear your mask! Dr. Hu is great. He is genuinely kind and makes you comfortable to discuss any issues or concerns.

I actually enjoyed my eye exam! The staff is professional and friendly, the process is a bit long but not tedious, and Dr. Osa is wonderful. I trust her assessment and was very relieved to have a thorough exam and know my eyes are fine.

I moved from out of State and this was my first visit after being with my previous eye doctor for over ten years. I was very pleased with the specific attention given to me by each technician during the variety of tests for my specific condition. Dr. Welch consulted with me and I felt confident with his approach to my issues and I appreciate his listening skills. The facilities are spacious, so I never felt crowded due to Covid concerns and I observed ongoing cleaning of chairs and instruments, etc.

People are great, but the decor is seriously lacking - no wall art or anything else to look at in the waiting room. Needs something to brighten the room.

I had a bit of an urgent situation and CTEC got me in same day because of the issue. This was amazing as getting quick appointments these days, whether or not it is an emergency, is next to impossible.Staff was terrific, upbeat and friendly and Dr. Hu was there through all my questions and concerns. I never felt hurried.

This was my 1st visit to the new building, and I found it to be very well set up to accommodate the restrictions of Covid 19. The new technologies employed in completing my eye exam were fascinating & most efficient. My visit went like clock work, & every staff person I encountered was professional and very pleasant.

I love Dr. Osa! You do get very good care. My only complaint is that when we drive all the way from Bastrop to get there, and it then takes 2+++ hours for the appointment, it ends up to be pretty much an all day event. Is there anything that can be done to make visits more streamlined? I was shuffled from room to room, with a long wait in each one. This has happened in the last few visits and seems to be getting worse.
