I just went in to kinda look around since its not a normal high end bike shop like I normally go to. And I was really surprised at the diffrent great old styles and some pretty current ones. The prices seam to go from 50 bucks and up( I will not publish the price of a high end bike on here). The team there seams to work well with one another and know what their doing. I had a really good experience my first time I kinda pre shopping for a bike and the guys made sure tired had enougb air rode three diffrent styles and its was just a good experience. Id suggest going here before to lay down some money at a shop you might be surprised what you find I know I was. And they make sure all bike run before leaving the building.. unless its a as is sale

I went to Community Bikes with a $75 dollar voucher from Catholic Charities to get a bike. They told me that they are not working with Catholic Charities any longer and even if they were $75 wouldnt be enough for a bike. The staff was rude and unhelpful. The majority of their bikes are donated by individuals or get picked up from agencies and businesses such as the city of Santa Rosa, Sonoma County Sheriff, Sonoma County Transit and local bike shops. How can they not have a bike for $75 dollars?

Called them and asked if they had any used hybrid bikes for sale for a 5’9 person and the lady responded “Um we may...” rudely. It’s a yes or no question. Why would I drive over there if you don’t have any of the bikes that do not fit, the other ten bike companies I called checked to see and let me know which hybrid bikes they had and the price. The lady from community bikes was too lazy to find out. 248pm aug 9 2020

Want to help support bicycling-for-all? It is pure joy to empower people of many abilities to repair, improve their own bikes, and refurbish bikes for others by donating or buying bikes to support Community Bikes. Every volunteer pours their heart out to others by passing on their lifelong expert knowledge to young and old. People on long distance rides stop by to purchase and install that unique part that wore out on the ride. They share travel advice with others. It is a very busy place; a sign of an amazing non-profit that simply is excellent. The ripples of impact start with volunteering, teaching, skill-building, old-fashioned apprenticeships, and recycling, up-cycling, work-to-earn cycling. Everything that can be recycled is sorted and labeled by size and used to rebuild donated bikes. Post-use parts are also recycled as much as possible. A professional recycling educator is on the board!

People with a passion for everything bikes. Their share their knowledge and expertise freely, operating mostly on donations. They were so loving and patient with our special-needs son as they taught him how to fix his bike. Being a kid who gets bullied or shunned regularly, it was great to see him with such a big smile afterwards.

These gents are passionate about fixing bikes. They spent a couple of hours reviving an old mountain bike from the dead. They used bike repair tools I had never even heard of all the while explaining to me what they were going and why they were doing it (and helping out every other person that wandered in). I was hands on when I could help and learned a great deal about derailleur maintenance. All of this for $10/hour!!! I might just stop in every now and again just to see what else I can learn; it was that much fun. I poked my head into the used bikes for sale building but didnt have the time to browse. I will definitely be in to take a look at the what looked to be 100+ bikes.
