Devon Moving Company was an awesome company to work with! Frank was very responsive and prompt through our email communications prior to the move. His crew that came out that day was amazing. They were able to move me about four hours prior to my scheduled move, which worked out so well with traffic in the city, etc. They were careful with all of my belongings and so fast! They were kind, personable and efficient. During this pandemic, they were also very considerate and wore masks the entire time. I highly recommend this moving company!

Devon Movers was great! I was moving from a 3rd floor studio (walk up) in the city to a suburb 40 miles away. Frank communicated from me with the get go, was super quick to respond and gave me the cheapest quote out of 15 (!) companies I contacted. The day of, they called an hour early to see if they could come already. I had them just come 15 minutes early, but know they wouldve shown up earlier had I asked! They were super efficient in my very tight and narrow staircase. My entire studio was loaded in only 30 minutes! The unloading was just as quick and easy. Im a student and when I was wary of the contract I signed (it seemed like it was going to be off what I was quoted...), Juan explained it all and made sure the final price was within the range Frank quoted me. Super great and efficient move!

They did a great job with my move. Very professional, fast and friendly. They had to go above and beyond because of the requirements of my building and they did. I highly recommend them.

I was recommended Devon by colleagues and they did a great job with our 1 bedroom move. 3 nice guys came. They wrapped my furniture super well. They listened extremely well and followed all my instructions. They were nice. They also did not make any marks at all on the paint of the new apartment - hard given the tight entryway. They packed the truck like pros and they moved really quickly. Overall was very pleased and highly recommend.

I hired Devon Movers to move my one bedroom apartment and they did a great job. They worked very quickly, were careful with my things, and were very professional. I was very happy with the service they provided. They even arrived early. I would highly recommend them.

So had to amend my review. While i like that they were fast. On time and friendly. Dont like the fact that the assembly they did of my couch in my new place they messed it up and my husband and i didnt realize it until late last night when we finally had time to settle down and noticed that things were broken on the couch. For starters none of the electronic components work on the larger couch which is my husbands couch. Cannot use the recliner on either side of his couch. Or use the charger ports on the couch he uses. Nor did they properly secure the pieces together. Again didnt notice till late last night. We were able to secure it for the most part but now have to most likely get a new set of couches. Will no longer recommend them.

I’m the landlord for Scott Peterson and I use Devon movers they were very help full and professional Scott left me and movers with All his stuff in side the truck luckily I found his Ex wife contact number and she told me where to drop off his stuff. Scott left me and movers without telling us where we going to unload his stuff he didn’t answer my phone for rest of the day and call me next day about his stuff missing but later sending me pics that he found em. Professional and accommodating . Would absolutely recommend them to anyone living in a high rise & moving elsewhere, the guys pack, wrap, move quickly & didnt break one item. Pricing is fair and HONEST. You dont see them advertising like other companies, but I would say their hustle & honesty outweighs that advertising any day. Please call them and support a local small business if youre moving! I will absolutely be using them again if I move within the greater Chicago area.

I moved a couple of months ago and used Devon moving company. For the first time I used professionals. What an awful experience. They charge me for service I didnt ask, wrapping my furniture with plastic. They damaged a lot of my furniture . They took forever and ended up costing me so much for nothing. They charge by the hour and abused it. It took me half hour from one place to the other. It took them 2h!!! It was lunch time at my expense too! I read good reviews what a disappointment. Never ever again.

Far exceeded my expectations! I scheduled the move from OK for my grandmother that lives in Skokie. Frank went and met with her and checked out what would be moved. We looked into three moving companies and Devon Moving was the cheapest by far. We were a bit hesitant to be honest, wondering if we were going to get screwed. But I called and talked to Frank and they were legit; had all their paperwork, the move would be insured and there would be a contract to sign. On moving day 4 guys showed up at 8:30 AM, a half hour early (which I like). They taped up all of my grandmothers furniture in blankets and double wrapped some items in cardboard to be safe. The 26 ft truck was packed in 2.5 hours. They even took large paintings and house plants. Two guys (Jose & Arturo) drove the truck to DeKalb and began unloading right away. They put the bed frames together and put everything exactly where instructed. They were done by 2 PM. They worked very hard. No furniture was damaged, boxes were handled with care and nothing was missing. Moving was really stressing out my grandmother, so I am so grateful for these guys. What a deal! Thanks everyone!

We just moved and used Devon moving, they were wonderful. They were on time and got the job done. What would have taken us all day took them two hours. It was wonderful to move thus time around.

I hired them to take care of my move. Initially he sent me a different quote but when they finished they asked for $200 more for tapes. One of the guys was very rude and they left all of their garbage by our house garage. I don’t recommend them at all.

So I actually used this company in the past when I moved into a previous (Aug 2016) place with my roommate (the one I just moved from) and we had a great experience and wasnt insanely expensive so I reached out to her and asked for their information again!! They were just as efficient as last time if not faster, I thought I had sooo much stuff and they made it look like it was nothing. They took special care of ALL my items and especially the ones I was worried about. They took down and a reassembled my bed frame as well.They were all extremely amicable and like last time it wasnt insanely expensive. Im in grad school right now so I was happy with the price. I was moved in 3.5 hours, I budgeted for 3 anyway so it just all worked out! Pick them!! You wont be sorry! Thank you guys!

3 guys moved me, my 3 kids stuff (and a dog) in 6 hours. They were so careful with my grandmothers huge wood and glass antique breakfront. I dont know how they got that monster down 3 flights of narrow stairs without a scratch. They hustled to keep my cost down as low as possible. They were so helpful. Took beds and dining yable, computer center apart, put back together quickly and efficiently. And they cost me $300 less than previous movers. I only wish i could have tipped them more. I will be using them again, for sure.THANKS, GUYS!

I have had 2 moves with them, once in 2018 and several years before then as well. They were efficient, easy to deal with, and knew how to handle problems ie new place didnt have an ideal place for placing moving truck.

I hired Devon moving to help with a two-day move. We went from one house into storage on the first day, and then on the second, went from storage to a new house. The movers showed up early on the first day and worked a solid 8 hours to get our house empty. The following day, they worked around our closing schedule and showed up with two trucks at 4pm, and the crew went until almost 11. They went above and beyond our highest expectations and we couldnt be more grateful. I would recommend Devon Moving to anyone looking for a great, friendly crew, that works hard and quickly.

These guys are the absolute WORST!!!DO NOT USE DEVON Movers, ever!!!I called Devon Moving company on Wednesday April 30, 2014. They agreed to handle my move and together we set up for them to come to my residence on Thursday May 1st to move my belongings out of my old and into my new apartment. We agreed that they would show up between 1 and 3pm Thursday May 1, 2014.Around 2pm on the 1st, I called to ensure I was still on their schedule. The person answering the phone told me I was on the schedule for the afternoon and they would be there as planned.Around 4:30pm I called them again. This time, I had to call back about 3 times before someone answered. Right away, I knew I was in trouble. The guy started telling me how he and his guys were tired, told me that it was raining and that traffic was bad. I asked if they were still coming and he said yes. I waited for another hour or so and started calling back. Again it took 3 or 4 phone calls to get through to someone.During this second call, the guy assured me they were still coming, that his guys had about 20 minutes left on the job they were doing and promised to call me back in 10 minutes.Two and a half hours later and no phone call back as promised and I realized that I was in serious trouble. My previous landlord was very strict and it was imperative that I get out of my old apartment or face her wrath. I told Devon Movers of this and they assured me they were coming but never showed up.Devon moving company promised to show up and agreed to move me. Instead of showing up as promised, they didnt come and didnt call. They completely blew me off, leaving me to try to find an alternate mover willing to come the same day.If you need movers, if you are looking for a company who keeps their appointment to move you, if you want to work with professionals who take their jobs seriously and who will not blow you off, steer far wide and clear of Devon Movers. They are some of the most unprofessional, undedicated and careless people I have encountered in any business. Unbelievable!!!

I have used these guys twice now, once in May 2015 and once again just a few days ago, May 2016. I dont recall the names of the guys I had last year but this time around they sent Phil and Billy to move me from a second floor 2bed with really narrow doors/stairs to a first floor rear apartment. I had high expectations because my last experience with them was so good, and I wasnt disappointed! my movers were friendly and efficient and got the job done in 2.5 hours, even going to far as to disassemble furniture for me as necessary and put it back together at my new place. everything arrived in one piece. there was a little bit of damage to the walls of the place I was moving out of, but with how narrow the stairs are I really dont blame them for that, and anyway thats what deposits are for.I dont intend to move again at any point in the near future, but I will continue to recommend this company to anyone who so much as mentions to me that theyre moving. their service is quick, friendly, and affordable, and I am once again pleased with my choice to use Devon Movers!

This company got the job done at a timely manner and was in and out and set up my furniture as well in my room; I didnt have to do a single thing. I definitely recommend them to anyone and will use them in the future!

We have used Devon Movers 4 times in the last 5 years and LOVE them. They are quick, efficient, and we never have any casualities with our stuff. They will even help you pack up any of the last little things you have laying around when they get there because your toddler has been helping you pack also. We moved from a second story two bedroom apartment to our first home and not only did it take just 4 and a half hours, but they put things down exactly where we wanted them, helped me take apart the crib and move it, and they shrink-wrapped all the furniture at no extra charge. Their travel fee to come to the suburbs is modest at best, MUCH cheaper than other moving companies that have less to travel than they do. We dont plan to move again for awhile but you better believe I will recommend them to anyone who asks and hopefully when it comes time to move again they will still be around and ready to make one of lifes biggest pains super enjoyable.

They were very sloppy packing my things just throwing them together and then when they pack my storage locker they dumped stuff and threw it in pile without organising it it was the worst move Ive ever seen
