The customer service is pleasant and easily understandable with terms of contracts. Communication was promptly. The facility is amazingly clean with comfort. This is my second storage and I feel extremely lucky to doing business with extra space storage. Would not choose a better facility. Vinny was excellent in helping me obtain a storage locker at extra storage place at 7540 McCormick blvd. Today. He was knowledgeable and friendly and went out of his way to give me instructions on using the lock and codes. I feel very confident using this facility for storage with helpful people like vinny working there

I did not end up utilizing Extra Space Storage, but dealt extensively with Vinny as I gathered quotes and information regarding their services.Vinny was professional, helpful and knowledgeable. He was never pushy and answered all of my inquiries promptly and exhibited great customer service. I would feel comfortable using them in the future when the need arises!

Branch manager (Jose) knowingly overlooks a rodent infestation problem, screws over multiple customers with summer storage unit by not telling of the issue when he first knew, treats customers like garbage by throwing them a broom and telling them to clean up the rat pellets on their own… and somehow still works for this company. Wow.

Moved to a bigger storage unit. Made a reservation by phone and completed things on-site. Jeff was helpful and clear as he walked me through the steps, picked a new unit a feet from my old one and finalized the paperwork. Ive been storing with ESS for three years and have no complaints whatsoever. Services has always been friendly and the storage process has worked perfectly. Great service and support and clean and secure property but STOP RAISING RENT every 3-6 months. Started at $68 in Feb 2020 and they wanted to charge me $87 as of May 2021 so I moved out.

They have just jacked there monthly vehicle rental to 240.00 a month($40 more then last month)way to really screw small businesses struggling during Covid.Update: One of the other customers damaged my vehicles tires which extra space storage has taken zero responsibility for and left me with the costs. The increase in price of $90 in a one year period was another slap in the face. How did they respond to all this well we can take $10 off from the 90 increase. This was from the district manager. They don’t care about there customers at all this place is a joke and has zero customer loyalty (11 years never missed a payment) AVOID AT COST HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!

First impressions are very important to any business. If my first impression of Extra Space Storage is any indication of what my lease experience will be in next 6 months; then it will definitely be 5 stars. Firstly, I was having problems applying online. I went into the business and was greeted by Jeff. Immediately, I felt welcome and knew he was going to be a great help to me. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The whole process lasted just a few minutes but I walked out feeling competent that I would find my storage unit. Everything just went sooo quickly and smoothly. I found my unit following Jeff’s directions. The facility was clean and well lit. My unit was clean and just as I had hoped it would be. The key/lock were inside the storage unit. Easy entry/exit to facility and lockers. Very pleased with my experience and purchase of this storage unit. Would definitely recommend. Great reservation experience with Vinny! Put in a reservation online and got a call very quickly. Vinny was very patient and helpful; he walked me through everything and I signed for my unit in just a few minutes.

Ive had my things in storage at this location for a few years now. Meanwhile they remodeled the whole place and even though there was a lot of construction going on my stuff was secure, no damage and even not much dust. Easy and secure access, plenty of carts to move your things from the car, and very nice customer service. No complaints.

This is such a clean and safe facility. I was able to store some extra large items that did not fit in my existing space at another facility. It was quick and easy to work with the agents, and everything went very smoothly.

Marcus is the assistant manager for this storage facility (as of March 2020) and he provides excellent customer service. He explains all the details of the short term lease very well in a clear and calm voice. He asks helpful questions so that he can provide you with the information that you are most interested in learning. I observed him handle some rude and impatient people in a very professional manner.

If I could give 10 stars, I would give it to Sam! Hes wonderful to work with and very patient over the phone and gave clear instructions how everything works. Hes awesome and great customer service! I would recommend him to all my friends and family. Thank you Sam!

I have had to move in the middle of this pandemic and I was fortunate enough to have family and friends willing to help me, my friend helped me out and recommended this place as he had a storage unit here before, I had to store some of my sentimental items due to family members passing. Sam was very helpful, he was very knowledgeable and sensitive to peoples needs in this time of hardships, not to mention how cute he is. Thank you Sam!

Updated(9/15/2021) : I had cancelled my unit after a year of not needing it and came back to needing another and Janesa helped me out a lot! She was so sweet and had so much patience for me. Definitely detailed in what info I needed and I really appreciated her hospitality.I definitely recommend this location. I always come across nice employees.- I came in a bit nervous today to rent out my first unit and Latoya made it a breeze! I was so comfortable with her and she was very patient with me! Such a sweetheart! She made sure to help me with my budget and what I was looking for and recommended great tips! Also the facility looked cleaned and definitely smelled better than the other places I looked at.

Marcus is easy to talk with and knowledgeable (being a lefty is a plus!). I feel my belongings will be safe and secure. Come say hi - and rent a space!

I love this place. The ExtraSpace on McCormick in Skokie is clean, convenient, well lit and secure. Prices are reasonable and the service is great. Jeffrey, the manager at the Skokie IL location, is friendly, fast, and professional. He has been great to deal with. I have used ExtraSpace off and on for years for seasonal storage. I highly recommend ExtraSpace.

One star? Wrong -- Manager Jeffrey Storer (not his real name) has made it difficult by limiting my hours so it will take longer to sort through stuff and decide what to get rid of. Some people should not run storage facilities. They dont have a clue how to be fair. Oh, it was funny how my rent just increased suddenly. Its payback for breaking a golden rule in the lease. My advice is to not do business with this company. They hook you with supposed low rates and then work on increasing those low rates until youre paying way too much and you have to move....or go broke. I have renamed this place: Extra Space Scam. Its time for some honesty in advertising.

Great working with Marcus M. to get my business setup. Easy and quick and good overall service and would have stayed if they didnt raise the prices every 3-6 months. Started at $68 and just got an increase to $87 only 15 months later and moved out. Ridiculous. Dont move in and expect your rate to stay the same.

Latoya was so wonderful in helping us with our first storage. All of items wouldnt fit in a 5x5. Latoya looked to see if she had a 5x8, she did and gave us that space with no hassle. The facility is nice and clean and well organized. I am really happy with my experience here and Latoya gave 100% customer satisfaction! Thanks again Latoya:)

Extremely clean and well managed facility. Very friendly employees. I experienced a very easy move in and move out process. Only negative was that the billing process wasnt communicated clearly and I was charged for a full month of storage even though I moved out mid month. That should be an easy fix but they didnt do it.

Latoya was amazing! She is super friendly and really helped me out fast. She mentioned to me that I should come in before I showed up with my movers and truck because it take 20 minutes to sign the lease/do the tour, but... I didn’t listen. I should have, but she was so accommodating and really worked hard to get the unit leased fast! She also gave my movers and my self fresh cold water. I would also just like to say that I rent a 10x10 at another facility, but the unit (supposedly 10x10) Latoya gave me looked way larger with higher ceilings and it’s truly climate controlled. I don’t know is the other people gave me the wrong unit or if Loyola “hooked” me up, but either way, I’m extremely happy and the cost is cheaper. Oh, last thing, what really made me happy with Latoya and Extra space storage was that, in conversation, she mentioned that Extra space really cared about their customers and not all about the money, I know hard to believe about any business, but for some reason, I really believed her. Thank you for all your help Latoya! Looking forward to seeing you again!

Life savers!!! Another storage facility sold us a space too small, when we arrived in our uhaul post move we didn’t have enough space.Everything else was closed. Called the team at Extraspace, and they got us an appropriate sized space over the phone in 5 minutes.Highly recommend

I went to this location since I looked up reviews and seen that they offer good customer service. The reason I went in was because I had a question regarding my account since my bill went up from the current rate I was being charged. As I walked in Brian walked up to me and asked if I needed assistance which I appreciate since it’s hard to find good customer service nowadays. Not only was Brian friendly but patiently explained why my bill went up. If you are looking for a good place to store your belongings and get great customer service come here and ask for Brian.

This is my first time renting a storage and the manger Latoya and employee Brian were super helpful and went above and beyond helping me find a right storage for my personal needs. My father and I arrived with just 12 mins before they closed and Latoya and Jacob took the time to help us get set up as we were in a rush and were so sweet and welcoming to us and I couldn’t have asked for better service! This is the second time that I’ve stored my things here for the summer break and each time the service is wonderful!

I love this storage facility not only because its clean, well lit, and I have the perfect spot, but I also love the people that run it. Denise is so good at her job as manager.
