Anthony R did an awesome job setting up a phone for my daughter then shipping it to another state for her. Highly recommend speaking with him if you want someone knowledgeable, who follows through with what they say they will do. Great customer service.
Do not buy a phone here! I went in in June saying I wanted a Samsung s21 and the rep talked me into the Motorola edge+. The rep misrepresented this phones comparison to the s21 and Ive been very unhappy with the edge+. I called Verizon customer service after realizing that I cant just deal with a phone that regularly gets too hot to touch. A phone rep told me that Verizon would waive the normal return window, I just had to go back to Cellular Sales to make the change for inventory purposes. I called this store and my call was redirected to the Portland location. That agent confirmed that he saw the note, but only South Portland had this phone in stock. I drove an hour to South Portland only to be told we cant do that and have a document I signed about their return policy aggressively presented to me. They called customer care while I was in the store and got a different story. I called customer care again on the way home and spoke to a supervisor who said that an agent store CAN do this at their discretion. The alleged manager of this store had no sympathy for the fact that his employee misrepresented a phone to a customer. Customer care said they could have done something if I had purchased through a corporate store, but they cant do anything with agent store inventory. This store also charges a $40 set up fee on top of the activation fee even though they dont do anything to set the phone up. Agent stores are awful! STAY AWAY!
The Verizon representative who helped me pick out my phone, as well as the rep who helped me transfer everything to my new phone, were nothing but great to work with. They were helpful and courteous the whole time. Kyle wanted to make sure that everything had successfully transferred over, despite it taking a while, he didn’t try to hurry me away. Overall, great experience!
Simon Davis at the Maine Mall store turned a complete nightmare into a pleasant experience. I was at a baseball double header with my young son and smashed our only phone in the trunk of my car....I dread going to phone stores because in my past experiences elsewhere there has always been a long wait and high pressure to buy the next greatest thing.Simon actually listened to what I needed - listened to what my 9 year old needed - and set us up based on our needs. Not only was he patient with us - he also went the extra mile and fixed our billing issues.We ended up buying 3 phones that day (when I never intended to buy any!) - not because of high pressure selling - but because Simon met our family needs by reducing our cell service cost by getting us on the right plan, found a non-Smart phone for my elderly father, a safe phone for my young son and a replacement for my own.In addition to doing all of this for us Simon was answering questions for other employees in the store. He knows his product, he knows the pricing parameters he has to work with. The whole time we were there he never seemed stressed - even with a full store.I just got a call from Simon today - checking in on us to see if we had questions or needed anything. Honestly the only thing we need from Verizon is for Simon to get a raise! He is an exceptional, exceptional employee!
We had an incredible experience at the Verizon Maine Mall today. Simon was beyond helpful and made a normally awful experience easy and seamless!! He was so patient and answered every single question we had. Our last experience upgrading phones was miserable and we got no help at the corporate store, this was the polar opposite. It was so stressful before, but this time Simon took all of the anxiety out of it and we actually enjoyed our time in store. He was so thoughtful and took the time to explain everything, get us the best deals, and set up all of our devices. 10/10 recommend this location and working with Simon!

Had a great experience at Cellular Sales a couple of days ago. I traded in my old phone and purchased the Motorola Edge+. The sales rep, Lewis, took all the time necessary to review options with me and recommend the best plan moving forward. I have remained with Verizon due to them having the best coverage in Maine, and with the new phone I will have 5G when it comes to Portland in 2021. Jacob handled the data transfer and continued his support when I visited the store the next day with a few questions as I need to relearn some of the Android features having switched from Apple. A year ago I switched service to Verizon at the same location and this recent experience confirms that their customer service and sales continue to be first rate. I cant imagine doing everything I did, including detailed explanations of all my questions, on the Verizon website. For me, the face to face interaction is very important.

Tried asking about no-contract phones (since I was unfamiliar with them) - salesman proceeded to lure me into trying to pay for the most expensive phone. Assumed my age (I look young but am not). Tried steering the direction of the conversation back to a non-contract phone. Still fought with me getting that phone. I told him Id think about it and he scheduled an appointment. The entire exchange was painful, unprofessional, and amateurish. I never showed up. I did my research and bought a good non-contract phone at BestBuy for less than $40. Works like a charm. My advice is to do your research and avoid these type of salesman at all costs. Im sure theres better associates here, but that was my experience.
Gary and Devon quickly add my Apple Watch to my phone plan and helped me get a new iPhone for a great price. They answered all my questions and I was in and out of the store in less than an hour. Excellent sales and service.
I set up my first phone plan with them at 17, paid outright for my phone, been there multiple times in the past 5 years and never have had to wait for service. Just recently went and upgraded my phone and added a watch plan and they found me a plan with more data for the same amount of money and at the same time adding the additional device, let me have the online promo for 100$ off and made sure to keep my work discount on there. Make things super easy and fast, all very pleasant employees!
Changed to Verizon at this franchise location as we wanted to make calls to Canada and during our travels in Canada. I specially requested this and was informed multiple times my phone would work in Canada but the rest of our family plan would not. We were fine with this option until we discover that my phone didn’t work whatsoever in Canada because we had the wrong plan! Yes, we learned while traveling.We changed to the correct plan but were met with additional issues. I recommend additional staff training because the impression is more about getting a commission more than doing the right job.I like supporting local but unfortunately I will be visiting a corporate store in the future and not this franchise.

I had the worst and best afternoon here. My phone once was lost but is now found, and throughout the whole process I had the huge help of Sandy and Josh. Those two helped me figure out next steps when the phone was lost, and were very thorough in trying to get me the best deal for the situation. I ended up miraculously getting my phone back and they were super excited for me too! Literally 10/10 would recommend these humans for all your phone needs. Much helpful. Such efficient.

Yesterday I went and got the new iPhone and Apple Watch from th Verizon store in downtown Portland. I always go there for any issues I have, or new devices I need, because the staff is really helpful and patient. Yesterday I worked with a salesman named Bryan. He was awesome. He took the time to show me all the new features of my devices, show me exactly how my bill would change, and even brought me a variety of cases and went through their key differences. I love my new phone and watch! These guys are the best, and always make you feel like they want you to get what’s best for you, not just the most expensive thing like other places.
This store and the people who work there has never been anything short of great. The people are so kind, helpful, and go out of their way to provide excellent service. As someone who is not very knowledgeable regarding technology and phone plans, they are able to explain and answer questions very well, and do everything possible to create a solution that will best benefit the customer. Cody Shaw and Spencer helped me switch from AT&T to Verizon. I go to school at Thomas college and dont have service, so the switch was needed. Both Cody and Spencer were very kind and helpful in my decisions for plans and devices. They explained current plans,devices and deals going on in the store, and even set up my devices before I left the store. I had an awesome experience and will definitely continue to use Cody or Spencer in the future for my Verizon issues or purchases. I couldnt have had a better experience anywhere else.

Wow! I left Verizon about two years ago after being a long time customer but went to this Verizon store after hearing about a promotion. Nate was the representative that attended us, and he went above and beyond any conceivable expectation to attend to me and my family including staying late to finish setting up our phones, searching for additional promotions, and providing us with multiple options to meet our financial needs. He had a ready smile, an ocean of patience, and a clear dedication to providing stellar customer service! We walked out with two new lines and two new iPhone 8s. If only all of my Verizon experiences could be like this! Send this guy out to give customer service trainings!
My experience here is a clear five star caliber. This was entirely the result of the technician, Josh Griset. Joshs style and command of his craft was second to none. If there was a rating greater than five, I would give him a ten. His expertise and smooth delivery restored my confidence in Verizon. Josh is the face of Verizon and he is awesome!

Bought a liquid screen protector from them, that they highly recommended, for my s10 and got a scratch on my screen. The salesman told me it would protect against scratches...I then called the store with my complaint about the product and was advised to bring it in for a full refund. I then took the time to drive an hour away to the store to get my refund and all the salesman said they could do was give me a plastic screen protector for half price. Terrible customer service...seems they only want their commission instead of helping the customer. Will never shop there again and wish I could give a zero star review.

Josh was not only amazing to us as verizon customers but also as a mother. He jumped through hoops and made not only buying new phones easy he found us the best options. He also helped me feel comfortable feeding my child. He gave me my own room in the back of the store. I have never been shown so much support and it meant the world to me! I came into the store very frustrated because I was having multiple problem with my bill, phone, and set up of a new watch. The sales consultants Tobin, Jamario, and Josh noticed my frustration and came to my rescue. I travel EVERYDAY to a different city and state and I have NEVER gotten great quality service like I received today from these gentlemen. They also helped me save more than 100.00 on my current bill. Their customer service was amazing. These guys deserve Customer Service of the year awards. This visit made me happy to be a Verizon customer. In my opinion this store is the BEST Verizon Wireless store in the U.S. They were all very patient and understanding to my needs and wants. I would travel back to Maine just to see them if I ever ran into an issue again.

The people need some training in dealing with customers I had an issue with my phone, after some quick research it was determined to be a soft ware issue that Was not up dated. I asked why so long with such a big Co. He kept saying I dont know, thats Verizon and didnt appear to be happy when I mentioned he does represent Verizon he appeared to think I was blaming him.
I was there for about 3 hours going over all options to get me a new phone while getting my boyfriends upgrade. Nathan N, was very polite and very helpful. The best customer service, Kept apologizing for the length of time, made sure we were taken care of, even gave us drinks when we were thirsty. Overall was the best experience I’ve had with Verizon. I ended up leaving with an iPhone 8 and my boyfriend getting the LG7, with both phones completely setup, with cases and screen protectors, and a ASUS Zenpad Z8s.

I have been a long time customer of Verizon Wireless, from its beginning in the state of Maine. Your Maine mall store people, and especially Evan, should be proud of their service to Verizon.
Buyers beware, I upgraded my device, went through all of my paperwork and noticed tons of anomalies. First, they markup all devices over MSRP. For example, my iPhone was supposed to be 869.99, they charge 880. Second, they charge a $40 setup fee when charging you for the devices taxes. They do not make it clear anywhere. Third, they automatically add insurance to your Verizon account without asking.Save yourself the headache and just head to the corporate Verizon Wireless store across the street. They dont pull all of these shenanigans. Devices cost what they should. There is no setup charge for them to sign you up, and they dont secretly add insurance onto your accounts.

I phoned into the Verzon store (Portland, ME) around 8:30 p.m. explaining that I was having a problem with receiving email on my Samsung Galaxy S6.The gentleman on the other end suggested that I come into the store (2 hrs away) or call the tech support line which I used. I sent my daughter to the auburn location and she was not helped. We went to the south Portland location and everyone was friendly and helpful, answering all our questions. Now south Portland is my Verizon store of choice. They are always wonderful and provide exceptional customer service.
