I purchased a couple of beds for my daughters and the employees were very helpful and friendly.There were several delays on the warehouse side of things which made me very angry and upset.Finally after getting hold of the manager he gave me different choices and routes to use that made things speed up.The delivery men were friendly and pleasant to talk with.I give it a four because of the employees at the home office and the delivery men. Id probably give it a two for the warehouse delivery.
Very friendly staff and easy sales process, nobody was pushy. We shopped around and got a good deal on our beautiful bedroom set and mattress. Big store, plenty to choose from. Safe and respectful delivery. Thank you, we will think of you the next time we need more furniture.
I purchased a chair and sectional from Home Express Furniture in early September and after 6 weeks called to check on their status. I was told they were still waiting on the sectional but the chair was in the warehouse and asked when I would like to pick it up. When I bought the furniture I was told that they would deliver but given that the fact that they didnt even have the courtesy to call and tell me the chair had arrived, I decided to just go pick it up myself.After 2 more weeks I got a phone call that the sectional was in and arranged for its delivery. The sectional was delivered NOT as sold AND defective. The pillow fabric was not as purchased and the frame of one of the pieces and possibly two is/are crooked. There is a large gap between two of the pieces, and the back of the sectional, as well as the feet and seat cushions do not fit together properly. The salesperson touted the excellent build quality from the American manufacturer and I am extremely unhappy with the unacceptable finished product.After returning to the store to get the fabric issue resolved, it was arranged to have someone come out and look at the sectional to resolve the issue. I took time off from work for the appointment and again extremely unhappy and disappointed with Home Express Furniture as no one showed up for the appointment, nor have they called to apologize and make new arrangements. Customer service is not in their vocabulary. Furthermore, Calvin, the owner, has yet to return my phone call to discuss the matter. I cannot recommend Home Express Furniture and suggest you buy your furniture elsewhere.
Don’t purchase from Homexpress bought a sectional on 1/13/21 was told delivery would be sometime end of February. Waited till the end of February didn’t receive no furniture and no call had to call home express. Of course home express blames the manufacturer. OK that’s fine then was told delivery would be around the end of April and that if I waited until April kelvin would give me a $500 credit, gave him the card information didn’t receive the credit. Filed dispute with bank. Will update later.
Weve moved to Sparks in December and came upon this store, we ended up furnishing the entire house at 1/2 the cost of stores around. We had a couple of after the sale issues and the management and their bed vendor went out of their way to make me happy. This will be where I shop for furniture.
This place just advertises in there window to get you in the door. My sister purchased a mattress in August and in November the sign in the window says 30% to 60% off entire stock of mattresses. Not true! They still wanted the same amount that she paid. Buyer Beware! They put stuff in the window to get you in.
Super friendly staff! They helped me purchase the velvet sofa of my dreams and within my budget too!! Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you are furniture shopping, because they have a better selection than Mor or RC Willey - Thanks Caleb and Diem for the great service!
Owner was very nice as well as all of the sales reps. Especially patient with me since I came and left 3 times to compare prices at other stores. Thought prices were just as good as its neighbors Mor furniture. I was happy to spend my money with people who were kind, helpful, and didnt try to pressure me into a purchase.
Walked in and were greeted by friendly staff. We needed a dresser for our son and found one without being hounded by sales staff. The lady that helped us was very courteous.
I can not say enough praises about Kelvyn and Home Express. Our first purchase was a bedroom set. Price, quality and customer service were amazing. Bed frame was a few weeks out so Kelvin loaned us a frame so we didnt have to put our mattress on the floor. Next we bought a Parker House sectional. Beautiful and comfortable. We have since purchased a kitchen table, which should arrive this week. Because the table and chairs were not going to be here for Thanksgiving, Kelvyn gave us a loaner so we could have our family at our new house. Everything is delivered and set up. If we need more furniture, we will definitely go see Kelvyn.
Found just what I was looking for. In fact so many options it was a toss up but I love my furniture statement piece! PLUS they have what you choose to take home unlike many stores lately that have you waiting a week or so for delivery.
Owner was super accommodating, got us setup on a new couch/bedroom set/dining room table and chairs all in one swoop. Furniture separately wouldve cost a total of 5800$ and he got us out the door at 3,000$ and comped the taxes and delivery costs. He even gifted my child on our way out with a clock for her bedroom just for being so patient.
STAY OUT. I had an elderly parent and the employee WAS NOT WEARING a mask while he helped us. I have no idea if my parent will become Ill now.
We have purchased two beds and mattresses from this store on two separate occasions. The first was a loft bed for my daughter. It was inexpensive, but we knew it would only be a temporary bed, so it worked. We purchased a nicer adult mattress for the bed and are happy with both. The second was a bunk bed for my son and mattresses. He loved it. Pain to put together, should have taken the delivery and set up option, but that was our fault. Sales staff is always friendly. The manager is visible and available to customers. They always have a fully stocked and clean showroom. I like not having to go all the way down to South Meadows to find furniture. I hope they do well and stick around.
Got a great deal on a couch. Staff was helpful and not overly attentive. Helped me load it into my truck. Would have 5 stars if they offered delivery. Hell, I would have been willing to pay a reasonable fee for delivery.
I have purchased several pieces of furniture here & have received EXCELLENT customer service & prices are great! Very high quality for low prices. Every person that I have talked to there is friendly and very professional - including the great delivery guys. I will continue to purchase any furniture items that I need or want from Home Express and will definitely recommend them to everyone!
Nice furniture, friendly staff, great prices! I have insomnia & a bad back, so I bought a back support mattress here a few months ago. Ive never slept this well & my pain has drastically reduced. I have more pain-free days, & when my back does hurt, its much more manageable.

On June 4th I purchased a 7pcs dinning table at home express furniture. I explained to the supervisor that I needed my dinning table by that weekend which was June 7th he told me that this dinning table that I was going to purchase was in stock and that they would deliver Saturday June 6th. Everything was going perfect from my point of view until Saturday came along I got a call from the supervisor telling me that my dinning table was stuck on the pass that he would let me barrow the dinning table that was as display because he knew I needed it by that Sunday and that they would call me when my table arrived that should be the next Saturday of the following week i fine with that and told him yes that would be okay and that next Saturday came along nobody called me to tell me anything so I gave them another week to see if they would call me to notify me that my table had arrived. Well I got nothing so around June 11th I called left a message with one of the employee about My dinning table she told me that she would have one if the guys call me back never did I receive a call I called the next day same girl answered the phone told me the exact same thing never received a call I finally got information about on June 22th I was told that they were waiting on 4 of my chairs that they would arrive on Friday 26th I told the gentleman that I would wait for the 4 chairs to get here and he schedule me for delivery Saturday June 27th I got a call today June 27th at 10:18 am I got a phone call from Melissa at home express furniture I was informed that my 4 chairs did not arrive I informed them that I didn’t want the dinning table anymore and that my husband I wanted a refund keep in mind that this dinning table I paid over $1000 dollars for it I told by supervisor that they wouldn’t give my my money back that I was going to lose about 30% of my money and that I would have to pay the restocking fee of $269.20
I bought $900 couch and a $350 dining room set in October 2017. My dining set was rarely used. A few months after I purchased, I had company for dinner, sat in one of the chairs and the leg broke. It took me a few more months before I took the chair to the store, as I tried to tighten the screw myself. Then I had a few others try to fix it. Since June of 2018 I have been waiting for a replacement. They are not good at communicating. I have had to go in, call, and email many times. The set has been discontinued and they are supposed to be searching for a store that still has it. It has been 7 months. I think at this point, they should offer me a new set. A dining set with 3 chairs, who would buy that?
I gave it 2 stars because of the woman that tried to help and the quality of the furniture is not bad (you get what you pay for). However, be watchful over the sales staff. They promise a deal and dont deliver a deal. And, theres a real problem with service after the sale. I thought bolts came with a headboard...they didnt. One of the guys essentially told me too bad and I needed to go to Home Depot. He pointed out that because I didnt purchase a frame they werent obligated to provide the bolts. Thats understandable. It was his attitude and the way he approached the issue that I didnt appreciate.I advise anyone who wants to shop here to be cautious and get everything in writing (have the package deal itemized).
I had a very good experience here when buying my new couch. The salesman was helpful, and the prices were good. The delivery truck was on-time, and the couch arrived well-protected and in perfect condition. I will definitely shop here first the next time I need furniture.
I spent nearly 4K in this place and Id do it all again. I spent six months shopping Reno/Sparks area for quality furniture (large sectional) at a fair price and honestly they blow everyone else away. You get what you pay for and here what you pay for comes it at high quality. Calvin and Thomas bent over backwards to get the sectional here early for my big day. They do great custom work and really go the extra mile for their customer. Id spend my last dollar here, I really would. Great job guys!!!!

My husband and i came in yesterday, we had been in once before in our search for living room furniture. Immediately we were accosted by a woman who would not just let us look around, she even informed us she would keep bugging us until we let her help us choose.No, when it comes to my home, I get to choose what is good looking and comfortable.My husband was so put off that we ended up leaving even after finding a few things we liked. No way in hell would we have ever out money into that rude womans pocket.
Part of me wishes I could leave 0 stars, but Ill leave one for customer service as the shopping experience is good - they let you sit/lay on pretty much anything, even if youre just looking and the salesmen seem to be pretty well educated when it comes to the different pieces of furniture around the store.However, my issue came after my order when I received a phone call from a lady informing me my dining set and mattress had arrived at the store and was ready for pickup. Upon taking delivery, I found out that the table set was let go according to one rep, which is when the general manager jumped in and said that it was damaged in shipping. After finding this out, I requested a refund for the amount of the table and the shipping cost since they said a new one wont be ready for a week (it has been a month at the time of this review and still no phone call). The manager said they are not allowed to issue refunds at all, and can only do store credit, probably so he doesnt lose his precious $40 commission on that table set. I argued with him over the phone and in person, and after picking up the mattress they tried to get me to sign the invoice with the table set on it. I requested an invoice with just the mattress on it, and nothing else and they refused as well. Ultimately, I filed a dispute with my bank and got my money back for the order.Beware when shopping at brand-less cheesy discount furniture stores like these. I guarantee you, you can find the same style furntiture with a brand name (and warranty!) on Wayfair for much less. Not to mention they accept returns, whereas this place does not. The mattress is nice and comfortable though!

Worst experience ever buying furniture. The dinning room set I purchased was delivered with broken parts which required several trips back to the store to get replaced. Then, after a few months, one of the chairs broke. I took it back to the store, they agreed to replace it but after 6 months I still have no chair. Ive been back to the store several times, each time they agree to order a new chair, but I still dont have a chair. It was a huge waste of time and money. Now Im stuck with a dining room set that doesnt seat my whole family. These people are dishonest, and dont stand behind their their products, not at all. The only thing in this building that has less quality than the furniture are the employees. If you are thinking about buying something at this store, dont do it!

My girlfriend and I decided to purchase a bedroom set from this location. Price of the 4 piece set was ok and the sales lady was pretty nice.About the delivery and that process. It was scheduled for delivery in the afternoon, they showed up late and got started. They were only able to deliver 1 full piece. Another piece, a dresser, was faulty and explained to me that the screws were “stripped and pieces were missing”. The bed piece was missing parts also... they couldn’t put it completely together in so, forcing us to have large pieces of bed-frame in the way for 3 weeks. I was appreciative that they took back the faulty pieces but that fact did not make me feel the best about the quality of their products. I was ensured that they would return within that week to have it set up. They did not and no calls on any expectancy. After 5 calls and 2 no shows they finally showed up and everything was put together. The guys who delivered on the second round did an excellent job.The worst part of the process was the lack of comunication, excuses and false promises from the management.The one time we did receive a call was to let us know the delivery was going to be delayed because the delivery truck had been pulled over due to not having tail lights.They promised they would “make it right” by promising some “gift”, which wasn’t given to us was just sad and kind of silly.
They have nice furniture here, some things I havent seen anywhere else like the Murphy style beds and the other one that folds into a cabinet
Dont buy from here they give you a lot of storys about when your furniture is going to show up. We purchased in Amat took 8 weeks almost to get all our furniture and every week was a different story. Furniture came and guess what yep problems had to get them to reorder and still have not seen the furniture. Do not buy from here and the quality isnt even that great stay away.
Ive never had any luck here. Almost bought a bed today. When he asked if I had a way to get it, I said I had a truck right now. When he was ringing me up, he asked if I could pick it up next Thursday.... He said I could take the beat up floor model for $30 less..... Pushy salesmen, and not honest at all 👎
Walked into the store wanting to purchase a living room set, kitchen dinning set for the new house. Not one person acknowledged me or my family as we sat down on various pieces. Just because I was dressed comfortable in shorts and tank top relaxed from my normal professional life. We looked from the most expensive to mid price furniture for more then 30min. but they only paid attention to another couple that came in dressed up, guess I should have came in after work 😐. As a customer experience it was atrocious I shouldnt have to break up a conversation between employees talking to get any questions asked because they assumed I was lower class. Ill take my 6 grand redecorating project elsewhere to support the economy to another business that appreciates its customers instead of what were dressed like. Home Express just create a first and last with a never repeat experience. They judge a book by its cover 😡
The staff is very genuine, helpful and care more for customer needs rather than cheating someone for a deal. Great prices on furniture and great atmosphere to do business in. I would recommend this to all my family and friends in need of furniture.
Not at all what I EXPECTED! Our 3 year olds futon matters has sharp cotton seeds in it and the almost 900 dallor matters we purchased doesnt feel like the one we tested in the store. Im not a person who is usually disappointed. This is my first review Ive ever written.
