Strolled into LensCrafters today hoping to find some some cool frames. Found two frames that I couldn’t decide between so I decided to get them both after Rocky made it such a great deal with my insurance. He was so personable and not pushy in the slightest way. In the past I haven’t had great experiences buying glasses and it always seems like such a todo. Rocky made it so chill I don’t think I’ll ever buy glasses anywhere else.I learned that the lenses are made here in the US. I usually get my lenses from Costco but was informed they send them off to China. I like knowing I’m supporting an American job even if I have to pay a little more for that. My experience today with LensCrafters, in the North Town mall was tough. I was very apprehensive. Im an agoraphobe and rarely leave my home, and if that isnt hard enough, I had already had a harrowing time with the adjoining optometrist office! The issue with the optometrist was so bad, I only came in because it was the only place open, on labor day that could do glasses in an hour (turns out not to be the case anymore) . Enter our HERO MARCUS!!! HE SAVED THE DAY! Not understanding that I was profoundly agoraphobic, and struggling terribly, I explained my issue with the optometrist office, he was understanding! He was helpful, he was KIND! I wanted to bolt when I walked in, but because of Marcus, and HIS professionalism, I stayed and delt with their staring at me. He made it a tolerable situation. (By the way, I was on medicaid and couldnt pay the extra funds, for the extended exam, thats when the optometrist got rude. At the time, I was dead broke, it took forever to save up for glasses. They stared at me, and whispered while I shopped for glasses, it was humiliating. ) I have to go back in two weeks for my fitting...I sure hope Marcus is there...

Rocky at the Northtown Lenscrafters is A GEM!While none of the technicians on staff were with customers when I walked in without an appointment, ROCKY was the first one to look up, and acknowledge me with a genuinely warm smile. I am so pleased that he did. I am now a fan of his for life!Id just moved back to the Spokane area, and had recently purchased my new glasses from Lenscrafters in Tampa Bay (GO BOLTS!) knowing theyd still be covered.A week earlier, my new glasses had been damaged, bent in several places, one lens had been popped out - and while I did my best to reshape them and put the lens back in, I could tell that they no longer sat properly on my face. (NO WONDER!)Rocky instantly put me at ease. Using their equipment, he worked tirelessly to reclaim their perfect fit. Several times he made small but meticulous adjustments, fit them to my face, and repeated the process until he was happy with the result. I was amazed at how good they felt.They actually felt better than my original fitting in Florida!When I tried to tip Rocky for his efforts, he was adamant that he could not accept it. Even when I tried to repurpose the tip as donuts for the crew, he cheerfully declined. Wanting to do something to show my appreciation, I asked about lens cleaners. Again, he said it wasnt necessary for me to purchase anything, that the repairs were part of Lenscrafters service and he was happy to be of assistance.By the way, I did choose to purchase a box of their individually packaged pre-moistened lens towelettes. They do such a great job, and they are HUGE!!! After cleaning my glasses each morning, I wipe down my bathroom mirror with the used towelette. I was in and out quite quickly. The optometrist listened to me and answered my questions (even though I’m sure I sounded ridiculous) and gave me a prescription that ACTUALLY worked for my eyes! All around great experience!What I really loved, and what truly stood out to me, was how kind and thorough Allison was when helping me pick out frames. I brought back the frames I liked best, and she let me try them all on again, and then brought other (similar frames) up to try on as well, most of which really complimented my awkward face shape in a way I didn’t think possible! She explained how to get the most benefit out of my insurance, and the best route to take if I wanted a second pair! To be honest, we’re both online shoppers and had low expectations but were pleasantly surprised when were greeted by an employee by the name of Markus. He blew us both out of the water with his friendly smile, spot on customer service, outgoing personality, and professionalism. He went over and beyond to find her the perfect pair of frames and made sure they could could do the prescriptions in-house, the day of, so we would have them in time for the trip. I wish I would have known that Luxottica owned LensCrafters before I spent $800 there. Im so tired of greedy corporations ripping people off for things they need. That was damn near an entire paycheck. The gentleman who helped me, on the other hand, was extremely kind.

From the moment I walked in for my appointment to the end, this crew moved with warm personalities and professional efficiency never losing site on my personal care. Dr. Darnell performed her exam with accuracy, care and a little humor. I never felt rushed or a burden when I asked a question or to go back for a second look. She explained the pictures of my eye In terms I could understand and guided me thru the exam at pace that was appropriate and comfortable and yet efficient for both our schedules. No condescending b.s. either. I would recommend this doctor and her staff to all. Well done!!

I had an eye exam a week or so ago and was pleased with Nate who was very patient and knowledgable. It was my first time getting contacts, they charged me $40 for training. Which basically was me getting put in a little room to watch a video demo of someone taking them out, and putting them in. Then a receptionist sitting there watching me try. And absolute waste of money!I got a 10 day supply, I assumed I would be getting more sent in. When my boyfriend picked up the contacts for me they didnt mention I needed to come in and he said the receptionist asked the Dr if I needed a follow up send the Dr said no.So, 10 days later I call to see what Im supposed to do. They told me they need to see me again to get new ones ordered. So made an appointment the next day and came in. Was almost immediately seen by a different Dr. Went into the room, she was very chipper and friendly. She said they gave me 2 kinds of contacts, which ones do I have on? I told her none, Im out and thats why I came back. Her mood changed instantly to mad and annoyed. Told me I was supposed to wear them, she cant prescribe anything without seeing the fit. Again, I had absolutely no idea about this. So, she writes down my fit, locks her computer and throws her sticky note pad on the desk and told me shes going to see if we have any in stock.Lucky me they did, and was told to put them in. I got the left eye in pretty quick. I was having a hard time with the right and everytime I would tell her I was having a hard time, you know to get some help or advice I would get an answer do you remember your training? In a snooty voice as she was sitting at her computer just staring at the screen. Like yes, but I dont know what Im doing wrong, if someone were to watch what Im doing they might be able to tell.Anyways, finished the appointment, she didnt walk me out of the room. Staring at her computer she dismissed me. Get to the front desk Im given options of different contacts. Bought a year supply, but then there was a typo on the prescription, so got the quote for a new prescription that was $200 more a year. I told them I would like a refund of the first purchase and Ill shop around. I asked, since Ive worn contacts for 10 days and my eyes are used to them now, if they had anything in stock to help me. Nope, they dont. It would take a few days to get glasses too..so now Im waiting for 3-5 days to see again.Then I get a call after I leave and get my prescription elsewhere, that the first quote was correct and the prescription was also originally correct.......I will not be going back to this practice, mostly because the way I was treated with the doctor. I had no idea I needed to wear them when I came in. This is my first experience and you knew that. I felt judged and an inconvenience and that doesnt make me feel like im in a safe environment.

Just left Lense crafters with the worst experience Ive had in customer service.I was going through the pre eye exam process with one of the employees. She was asking me personal questions about my health. She asked if I smoked, I said yes. How often, every day. How many cigarettes a day exactly?At that point I told her yes I smoke and that shes making feel uncomfortable and I didnt want to tell her precisely how many cigarettes I smoke a day. She said she was just trying to get back ground. I told her I wasnt comfortable talking about my personal things and would just like the eye exam. She said no problem and finished up and left the room.Then a different doctor came in. She started off by moving me and my daughter to another identical exam room. Then stated the woman before was just trying to get a history back ground. So I said thats fine but I didnt want to talk about how precisely I smoke.Then she got aggressive with me by moving closer and stating shes not gonna tolerate me bullying her staff. So I told her, still politely, that stating I was uncomfortable answering the questions is not bullying. She responded by saying shes very protective of her staff. I said I would just like an eye exam. She then wrote on the screen (in plain view) under the next category of health questions refuses to answer. So I said if you will give me my money back Ill just go somewhere else for an exam. She said yes our relationship was not going to work... then took me into the lobby and aggressively told the receptionist to reimburse me because she is not treating me ever.Great thank you... I will not be walking into lense crafters again. Im glad my daughter wasnt old enough to see her dad embarrassed and having to defend himself politely against such disrespect. I believe lense crafters tried to bully me into answering questions I wasnt comfortable with and thats the only reason why I asked for my money back. Ive had many eye exams... Im 31 years old and have worn glasses most my life. I understand they want information pertinent to eye health. But I wasnt comfortable and have gotten many prescriptions for glasses before with out the intrusiveness. Hopefully this was helpful. I wont be a returning customer any longer.

I had to come into the Lens Crafters in Northtown Mall for a new prescription and frames after my glasses broke. Immediately I was greeted warmly by Markus and crew. I was directed to my check in and invited to browse. I was given great information about sales, promotions, and information about my own insurance that I didnt even know!The whole team was helpful and made the shopping experience fun and a total breeze. Markus was exceptionally knowledgeable, efficient, and got me the best lense protections and warranty. He listened to my needs and gave very well-informed advice.Ive never enjoyed shopping for glasses. Its generally a boring, expensive, gruelling process but my experience today was genuinely pleasant, and I was thankful for such a great guide.Would give more stars if I could.
