Have you ever looked forward to an eye exam and picking out new glasses? I didnt before I started going to LensCrafters. Imagine walking into a location and they know you so well, they already pulled frames for you to look at it. For the past three years, weve gone to LensCrafters for our annual eye exam. Can I tell you we drove 45 minutes out of our way to go to this new location. We went out of our way because of our positive past experiences with Joe Mlot. Joe, as I like to refer to as a stylist, but technically an Assistant Manager, met us with open arms and an array of the newest frames fresh off the fashion runway.Joe is so attentive and a genuine good person. His patience and thorough approach is so welcome in this rushed and chaotic time we live in. He takes the time to explain the process of the visit, the different benefits of the array of lenses available in your prescription and provides honest feedback about how the glasses fit your face. You can tell this man really loves what he does for a living.This was our first time seeing Dr. Yates. She was equally as wonderful. She was personable, very thorough explaining what each portion of the exam was measuring in regards to distance, eye health, depth perception, etc. After the exam was complete, she took the time to show us the results in great detail with an understandable explanation, not the Doctor Jargon you usually hear. She was very patient, answering all the questions we had.The welcome surprise was meeting the rest of the team, Jason and Brandi, who were just as engaging and delightful as Joe and Dr. Yates. This team really work together as a unit and make the environment very inviting and comfortable.The place is immaculately clean and the team is sure to take every precaution, sanitizing every frame before it returns to the display.You can tell that customer experience is their first priority - their approach and attention is a gift in this time we live in right now.

Dr. Beth Yates is the best! Shes so welcoming, flexible, and willing to help in any way she can. Jason was the technician for my eye exam and he explained how every machine worked when I asked him a question about the purpose of just one of the tests - so smart! I love seeing Beth work so well Joe when I was in last. The entire rest of the staff so friendly and fun to shop with. Ive been going to LensCrafters for years now, and highly recommend this location in particular.

This was the most fun I’ve ever had picking out glasses! Ban helped me and turned a difficult process (for me) into a great experience. She’s very knowledgeable and found the best deal for me. Also, a big Thank you to Dr Klunzinger, she explained everything and answered all of my questions, I feel very confident in the decisions I made that day.

This eye office was by far the best I have ever been too. From the moment I called in to the moment I left, every interaction was professional and compassionate. Dr. Yates is very personable and trustworthy. Joe and Ban helped me with my check in and check out process! My insurance did not cover what I needed, yet they were extremely helpful and honest!! I would spend any amount of money to get the experience I had. THEY ARE ALL AMAZING!!!

The staff at this LensCrafters locations are great! We had the pleasure of working with Taylor, Dr Yates & Ban who were allll amazing at what they do! It was our daughters first visit & she went from nervous to calm by the time it was her turn to be examined! This location is highly recommended & I couldn’t be happier to be back with LensCrafters! Dr. Elizabeth Yates and the entire LensCrafters team is fantastic. I have been a patient of Dr. Yates for many years, and she is by far the best Optometrist I have ever had. The entire staff from the technician to the checkout attendant was prompt, professional and explained the testing and check out process completely. Dr. Yates put me in contact with the LensCrafters Safety Eyewear Program Administrator so the company that I work for can participate in this great program. This is a fantastic benefit for all of our employees. I refer all of our employees to Dr. Elizabeth Yates…she’s the best!!

This place is simply amazing. I was nervous at first but the great staff there put my mind at ease . So many options to choose from . Dr Elizabeth Hakim was thorough and took the time to explain the process step by step. These days most people just breeze through it . I would recommend everyone to go pay her a visit.

I loved my experience here! Everyone was super nice and even when they were busy they still made sure to check in on you and make sure youre doing good. I have a medcard for migraines and a lot of doctors like to judge people for smoking but I didnt feel judged at all and they even gave me tips on how to keep the smoke from drying my eyes out. Everyone was really nice. Great customer service!

This location is very clean and has a wonderful selection. Dr. Yates, Joe and Jason were very welcoming and helped answer all my questions. The ladies that helped me look at glasses were friendly and patient. They were very busy and still greeted and cared for all customers, including me. Lens crafters moved out of Lakeside mall to a location off Hall rd. Beautiful, bright location! Chelsea was my main sales person, cheery personality, so organized and knowledgeable. Sincerely, all the other salespeople there were extremely kind too. I tried on many styles of glasses and they were very patient with me! I truly recommend this location!

Friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff. My eye exam was with Dr. Klunzinger who did a thorough exam and did a great job explaining my prescription. My optician was Ban who went up and beyond in helping me pick out my new glasses. I was updated on when my glasses would be in and they were received in a timely manner. Overall I was pleased from start to finish.

Everyone at the Shelby location is very nice, from the greeter to the optomology technician. Dr. Carolyn K is awesome. She made me feel comfortable throughout my eye exam. I also loved that she explained my eye exam results with me.

For one reason or another I made an appointment with LensCrafters and not my normal place...Welllet me tell you today this became my new go too for all my vision needs. April 21,2021 I was seen by Dr. Yates she was absolutely amazing she worked with me gave me lots of information and I am so happy with my glasses and because of her I considered contacts.April 24,2021 I was seen by Dr Klunzinger for contact fitting she too was amazing. She picked the perfect pair for me. I don’t even feel them in my eyes. My vision is crystal clear, they are super easy to put in and take out, I love them. Both doctors were so thorough so personable very professional I gave their cards to several of my friends.May 1st when I called to order my lens I spoke to Chelsea. If your first impression of a place is based on the first person you talk to, you are going to love Lens Crafters. Chelsea was very personable not rushed very helpful wonderful people skills.

I have been coming here for over 10 years. I have never received such poor service as I have this time around. The staff is not properly trained and clearly understaffed. The man needed help measuring my glasses and called someone else. The girl could not ring up my transaction and called someone else. My glasses were to be ready on Monday. I never received a call to say they were ready. I went a week later and they’re like “come back in an hour”. I go back 3 days later and still cannot pick them up, I was told go sit down. 10 people ahead of me waiting and a few hundred dollars later and still can not pick up my glasses. Very Frustrating!

My appointment was confirmed and I was shown around the frames while I waited for the Doctor to finish up the appointment before me. Dr. Elizabeth Yates did an awesome exam on my eyes, explaining the changes my eyes were experiencing, making me comfortable with the fact that I, and my body are getting older. I had an excellent experience from scheduling my SAME DAY appointment on line to my experience with being checked in with Ban and Dr. Song was excellent as well. She answered all my questions. I didnt feel rushed and most Importantly, I saw employees washing their hands & wiping down equipment for my safety as well as their own. Thank you Dr.Song, Ban, Sally and Nimo.

Went into the location had a accident and my glasses were a causality. I was greeted by this wonderful young man Josh he was so kind, helpful, and very knowledgeable. In fact I went with the frames he chose! And I absolutely love them. The doctor Heather Hanion was just as amazing, very caring, took her time made sure to check absolutely everything. Very clean will definitely be returning for all future exams.

I went to lens crafters in Westland Mall, because my barber is near there. They told me they would have to order my lenses and would take about 2 weeks! (Gave the Covid Excuse), then I stopped at the Lens Crafters on Rochester Rd, near my home and they said they would have to order my frames & wait to install them.For the second time, I took the extra effort to drive to Lakeside Mall Lens Crafters, and each time they had them ready in 90 minutes.This store keeps stock and materials on hand, and they deliver! Hands down Best Lens Crafters in South East Michigan!Thanks for all your help in a “Now” world... thanks for having your stuff together!

The low value for money is not a reflection on LensCrafters. The lens companies are the problem. There is no reason a set of lenses should cost $825. After that, you still have to add on the frames.

Quick and easy

The doctor (Fairless ?) was great to work with. He took the time to understand my issues with nearsightedness, astigmatism, and a contact lens solution to address my progressive needs. At the end, I was comfortable with his suggestions. The support staff (Mariann and Anthony) were very helpful and patient with my decisions. They walked me through the various options and made my decisions comforting.

I bought several pairs of sunglasses for christmas 2019 and also bought myself a nice pair of ray bans and noticed the inside of one lense is delaminating I brought my receipt and was asked if i wanted to purchase another pair not exchange because i didnt purchase an extra warranty are you kidding me this is a defect not abusive damage and they are less than a year old this business will never get my money ever again.

I have been a customer for sometime now. They have the best customer service. They always go above and beyond to help the customer. They are very kind and caring. Dr Klunzinger is definitely a five star optometrist in every aspect of her profession!!!! Ban the team leader that took care of me when I was just there on December 12, 2019 spent so much time explaining and helping me. She was the Best!!! Thank you again Lens Crafters !!!

This place is honestly a joke.a)I’m a practice manager of a multi-specialty doctor’s office. I know and process a lot of deliveries, medical orders etc.b) I’ve been wearing glasses for 10 years straight. I know very well how glasses/eye contacts work.c) paid in full, cash.Getting to the point: the doctor is super nice, very knowledgeable, will listen to all your concerns, will answer to all your questions. However, the staff is totally useless. I was told by the sales lady that my glasses will be ready in 4-5 days. I called 3 times to find out if they have any updates. Not only I was treated like I have some sort of mental disability but the level of rudeness, unprofessionalism, and ignorance is unbelievable.After I requested to speak with the manager I was told the doctor ordered a special lens for my glasses and it might take up to 2 weeks to get my glasses.Since I was out of contacts she offered to give me a pack of trial lenses till my glasses are ready. 😑I payed over $400 just to be treated like a joke.Truly shameful.

I went here for years and always had a good experience, both with the doctors (Dr. Fairless and Dr. K) and with the staff. My insurance changed and I had to go somewhere else. Well now Im back, even if I have to pay a little more becuase Im out of network. The customer service was heads and shoulders above the place at the corner of Hall and Schoenner.

Today I felt that every bit of my experience there was very good.

This place is terrible, but to start it was awesome at first everyone was nice and helped me get my glasses. The glasses were supposed to be delivered Friday then theres a shipping issue now Monday is new delivery date and when I call they dont even try to help at all even lied will never go here again.

Not friendly or helpful. When I couldnt find a frame I liked, another lens craters recommended I look there. The women were rude and more interested in why I had been sent there. I would go to Partridge Creek or Rochester. Avoid this store if you want friendly, helpful and patient people.

Took my dad here cuz he broke his only pair of glasses. Was pretty much immediately greeted by Jeannette. No appointment but we’re taken care of quickly. Saw dr. And new glasses picked out within an hour. Glasses were ready in An hour and a half. Couldn’t be happier with Jeannette and this LensCrafters location. Would give her a “10” if I could ;-)

This place is a joke ..I called about a warranty claim on my lens since I paid for the extra warranty when I first bought them and was told they was nothing they could do since my warrant was up 9 days which would be fine except the man and I use that word lightly since he sounded like my sister I spoke to was more intrested in selling me another exam and kept laughing when he was talking to me on the phone like a coworker was next to him and they just thought evrything was so funny I was asking about...you know whats funny? how you will be out of job soon becuse its just easier to buy stuff online ...thats why all these brick and mortar stores are going under

I went in to pick out some glasses for my son. I was asked three times do you have an appointment and they also asked me three times if I needed an eye exam when I told them the first time that I had a prescription and all I needed was some eye glasses. The staff doesn’t even speak English. I can’t even understand everything they are saying. I will be looking somewhere else to go or I will call first to see if anyone speaks English first

Their staff can definitely benefit from a crash course in Customer Service 101. It was more than apparent that I was a $ and they could care less about my existence otherwise. Each time, the sell associates were more focused on cleaning and organizing the store than selling. With the internet booming and offering glasses at 1/2 the cost, I am going to need for people to value traditional shopping and customers that haul their ass in to shop. The mall is dead! After today, Frames Direct will get my money. I barely can afford Lenscrafter, yet I return because I was a DOC loyal customer. Good luck to you Brandon! You were beyond helpful and exhibited standards true to Lenscrafters.

I ordered new lenses and liked the frames I had. One week ago Saturday I got my new lenses installed into my frames. A service guy called me and handed my frames and I put them on thinking everything was fine. A few days later I noticed the right side of the frame was lower than the left. I also noticed I saw exposed metal on the right lense where the center piece that rests on the nose and connects the two glass frames. I went back the next Saturday and showed a service lady there how the frames were not aligned properly. She adjusted them and again I went on my way. I now noticed how loose the right side of the frame was on that nose connection piece. The next day I was on my way to visit my sister, the right part of the frame severed from the center connection piece. I took it in Monday evening and the service lady there looked at my lenses and tells me that could happen since they were old frames. I became quite angry and explained what happened and how the person who put my lenses into my frames bent that part of the frame causing it to sever. I got little understanding of what happened and they ended up charging me for the frames they broke. I will never go back there again. The manager did not have the decency to call back. My sister was going to get glasses there and her boyfriend. Now they will be looking for another place. I will let others know of thier customer disservice as well.

The doctor was very nice and did a good exam however the glasses I ordered were not right the glare was so bad on the frameless lenses I ordered (i paid extra for the no glare) this was only made worse by their lab they ended up scalloped on the bottom when they tryed to buff them to take away the shine. I ended up returning them. Im done with Lens Crafter one try was enough.

Tried to sell me lowest grade lenses after paid for the highest grade. Staff was rude,evasive and unable to be reached by phone. Took 5 weeks to refund my CASH money. After 15 years of loyalty IM NEVER GOING BACK.
