Love all the staff at SVS on Dequindre. They’re all super helpful with selecting a frame that looks great on me. The doctor was amazing with making sure my script is spot on for me. No complaints here. I’ve been coming to this location (even though there’s one much closer to me) for YEARS. Thanks ladies and doc for taking great care of me and my family.

Do not waste your time or money here. They close the place down whenever they feel like. You probably will never receive your glasses or contacts. They never called me to pick up my contacts (they sat at the location for 2 weeks) then when I went to pick them up there was a sign “sorry out for lunch”. Went back a few days later “temporarily closed”. At this point I just want my money back after being treated so poorly or my contacts sent to a different location.

If I could leave 0 and leave a review I would... 1 star is too good of a review for this office. I have been with this location way to long giving them chance after chance. They have the worst customer service! I would highly recommended going elsewhere!

I was very pleased I came in today for my exam. The doctor was very easy to talk to, which is very important. I found out today I have Posterior Subcapsular Cataract.I was recommended to an opthamolgist for surgery. So once I am ready I will be back for new reading glasses.

Doctor is fantastic & I ALWAYS have a great experience with Matt to help me with my contacts / selecting my new glasses. I highly recommend scheduling appt with him. He’s helped me out for the last 5 years or so. He is very knowledgeable, genuine, and thorough in ensuring we stay within our budget.Thank you Matt & SVS

Excellence at its best! Kyle did a fantastic job during my exam and Matt helped me find the perfect frames so quickly. He was spot on with what fit my face.

Let me start out by saying that I have been a customer here for nearly 15 years. Unfortunately, I will not continue to be a loyal customer after todays experience. I was picking up my contacts today so I went inside(mask on) and stood in the designated area. The first thing the lady says to me is, Do you have an appointment? to which I replied that I was picking up contacts. She again asked me if I had an appointment. Thinking she didnt hear me the first time, I reiterated that I was simply picking up my order. She then rudely asked for my name and then said Ill bring it over. So I said okay and waited. She again yells, I said Ill bring it over. At this point, I realized that she probably wanted me to wait outside. Is her grasp on the English language so lacking that she couldnt simply ask me to step outside? Am I some kind of mind-reader?The new staff here are terrible! I miss the crew from a couple of years ago as they were all fantastic. Goes to show that all it takes is one JERK on your staff to make you lose a customer who has loyally been shopping with you for over a DECADE. RETRAIN YOUR AWFUL STAFF in customer service.

The staff was super friendly and nice!! Made everything easy and they definitely went out of their way to help me. I wish I was going there sooner!! Plus, the doctor who did my exam was cute so that helped too lol

This is such a nice office, The team is very friendly, The Doctor Kyle is Awesome, Knowledgeable, Caring and Friendly . He is really taking care of his patients, not only he diagnosed my eye problem but he gave me the best eye drops and setup my appointment with another eye specialist very next day and then informed me, such a nice experience(very rare in other offices), I chose the best location and found a right Doctor at right time .In past we were use to go to Clawson location but somehow this year they said currently office closed and we find this location . I told my husband about the team and the Doctor and now he is planning to come at this location, we will defiantly coming back and staying with this office . I would definitely recommend this office to my family and friends .

Heather is extremely helpful and is always welling to go the extra mile to assist me. Shes the main reason I still go the to dequinder and big beaver location, because there are others closer to me, but I choose to go there because of Heather. Shes an asset to the company!

Was told a family member could pick up my glasses and if an adjustment was needs they could do it curbside. Pull up press 1 like I was told and the lady tells me no I need and appt. I told her what they told me. 3 people sitting inside just talking and no one will help. So now I have glasses that dont fit me and have been falling off my face. Thanks for wasting my time and money!!!!!!

Yes their customer service stinks. I tried to get the plastic string that holds my lens and place fixed and I was told that I would be without glasses to be able to see for over five days. Would not recommend this company.

My first experience here was amazing. I worked as an optician for 25 years in Michigan and SVS on Dequindre/16 mile provided the best service start to finish. I was a little late for our appointments but the doctor was nice and was okay to see us. Dr Nancy was very thorough and patient with my grandson. She explained everything in details and had a great attitude. Jennifer was very honest and fitted me with a great progressive hi-def lens. I got my glasses on Saturday and I absolutely love them. I highly recommend this place and the doctor.

I have come to Svs for the last three pairs of glasses and I love it. Heather is the BEST at helping you pick out glasses and to fit them for your face. She is patient and great at her job. I don’t know that I would keep going to this location if she didn’t work there!

We all like to have a warm, friendly interaction with the employees when we are shopping. You will definitely find that here. But I have been to numerous vision stores over the years where they were also friendly, but the glasses were not quite right. Now that I have been wearing my new glasses from SVS for over a week, I can easily say they are the best fitting glasses and the best prescription that I have had in years! Friendly, fast, and high quality! Highly recommend.

All 4 of us were fitted for glasses by Matt. He made great suggestions on all our frames and was very friendly, helpful and explained the bill. He figured out our bill both ways for the contact lenses/glasses wearers to get us the best price. Totally recommend seeing Matt for picking out glasses..

The optometrist was amazing to details and bed side manner. The gentleman who helped me find glasses was very curteous and helpful. He was so willing to go through all my options. He could have sold me an elephant easily! 😊

This was my first experience With SVS Vision and the first time I have tried to buy a pair of glasses in over 5 years. I use to go to Americas best but that place was far from so it scared me off from getting glasses. I walked in here at my sisters recommendation and at my mothers insistence I get new glasses. Well I was greeted the moment I walked in with a pleasant smile and filed my paper work. I was then placed with Dr. Heather Sorvari and I have not had such a wonderful Dr. check my eyes in I dont even know how long. She was quick responded to all my questions and told me everything we were doing as we went along. Eye exam was vary extensive for 60 dollars.After the eye exam I was assigned Matt to help me pick out frames and lenses. Well Matt was a joy to deal with and kept me smiling the entire time. Went into great detail about every type of lens and even helped me pick out what lenses would be best for my need while trying to save me every single cent he could. Took us both quite some time to pick out a frame I liked the current styles are not to my liking or they were to small for my big hear. But he would not quit till I found one that was just right.Well after about an hour in this place and a Fair price I walked out with 2 pairs of glasses one for my normal use and a set of sunglasses that I desperately needed.I can safely say this is were I will continue to get my glasses from. The great quality of service and items available and the Steller staff cant be beat. If you are looking at a new set of glasses well my friend look no further and just come on in and know your in good hands.

When I called for my first appointment I was greeted professionally and was able make an appointment to accomodate my schedule. The doctor and staff were thorough and made my visit comfortable. I was very satisfied with the whole experience.

I recently broke my glasses I use for mostly night time/at home wearing. Went in on Saturday, picked out new pair and they had them done by Tuesday. Can’t beat that. Very friendly staff too. Well done.

Most of SVS Vision is worst place for your eyeglasses especially this location. Lady worked there not friendly staff. She did not care what she was doing. While customers were waiting but she continued to talk on the phone and smiled. It appeared that she was enjoying talking than caring customer waiting for her to help.There are a lot of good place out there. DO NOT waste your time and money coming to this place.I NEVER prefer or recommend anyone to come here

My first encounter was with the corporate. The young lady was so friendly and helpful trying to find me an open appt. I ended up going to the store on Dequindre in Sterling Heights and i was greeted by a very fiendly staff. They were able to accommodate my schedule. Very patient with me as I tried to decide which pair of glasses I wanted. Great customer service. I highly recommend the SVS

Absolutely non professional place to get your glasses. We came in to check eyes of my daughter as a part of preventive care from my insurance. The optician was only interested in getting us buy glasses. I just wanted to have all records reviewed by my pediatrician and then go ahead but they just want to buy the glasses and nothing else. They also claimed that my daughter has astygmatism, but when we asked to get the papers to get them reviewed by MD, they said they cant send it as we need to sign release form. When we sign that form, they started giving run around that they have to send that to HR and then they will contact us and we can go ahead from there.They just think that we are dumb enough that we cant get our own patient related medical information by jumping so many hoops.BEWARE... Will never go there again. You will be far better off by going to an eye doctor at Costco or any other professional place, may be walmart buy not here.

Been coming to svs for a few years now and I absolutely LOVE the 16 and Dequindre location. I have a large family with different needs for eye care and svs excels in taking care of these needs. Most importantly BEST STAFF EVER....i know when I walk in the door I will not be ignored for the first 30 minutes Im there...my family will have the best smiling faces waiting there along with great conversation especially LINDA. If I could give this store a 7 star rating, they would get it because they deserve it. You all are AMAZING and I look forward to many more future visits.

Service is great but frames are to high priced alot of them are made in China I had two pairs of glasses both frames broke less than a year old

I would like to make this review helpful to others. I had full insurance but still my glasses came down to $200, my frame was a cheap frame but rediculously overpriced! My glasses total cost came close to $600! (is that even possible, no my frame was not made of gold!) this price included teflon coating, AR coating and Transition lenses. After wearing my glasses for 1.5 months I realized my glasses did not transition! I called them and the lady there told me maybe we forgot to activate them so I took it there and they found out that they did not use transition lenses and moreover they mentioned that it would take another 2 weeks for the lab to remake my glasses so that they transition!! You would think that a $600 dollar pair of glasses would be quality checked before giving to the customer....totally not the case. The ladies there are totally lazy mostly elderly women. Go to any other SVS location but not this one. I know I will not.

It was an okay staff, but horrible for getting glasses though. My lens were not firm at all, after a few weeks. Honestly, its kind of on me for no going straight back to the location to get it fixed, but why i have to in the first place is beyond me...

I ordered safety glasses here through my employer with an existing prescription. It took a few days longer than their initial estimate for the glasses to be ready for pickup, but otherwise everything was completely satisfactory.

No wait, nice doctor, answered all questions and helped with picking out glasses.

I initially went in for glasses and possibly new contacts. After recieving the glasses, i noticed they seemed strong but thought i just need to get adjusted. Then i fell ill for over a month. I called them last week to see if i can exchange the glasses for a pair with a different rx, theu said sure but its been over 45 days so youll have to pay for the visit, exam, and possibly the lenses. Why does 45 days matter i asked perplexed... then they informed me it was there policy. Thats fine, however. NO ONE told me this! Not at my exam, nor when i had to cancel my follow up visit due to beng sick, which i did inform them that was why i had to cancel amd even told the lady it would be at least a few weeks before Id be able to reschedule.... i think at that point it would have only made sense to give me a heads up on this tiny exchange window they give!!! Now im stuck with glasses that i cannot wear unless i pay even more out of pocket. Very disappointing.
