I booked my daughter an appointment for a layered hair cut, with 1 inch off the bottom. Took the girl almost 2 1/2 hours to cut. After i went in to see what the problem was i was advised they were brand new students cutting her hair. Then when the appointment was finished it didnt even look like she had received a hair cut at all. Highly disappointed in the service we received. I understand its a school but 3 hours for no hair cut not acceptable

My boyfriend shared this place with me years ago and we finally went together and theyre wonderful! All the students take pride in what they do and are very good at their jobs. I had my entire head dyed yesterday by I believe her name was Caroline!(Im so sorry if thats not your name...i did say i was terrible at names haha) She did a wonderful job and I love my hair. Ill be coming back soon ❤ I wish her the best of luck in a bright future.

Love love love it!!! I got my hair foiled here. It looks so good!!!! The girl was super sweet and very transparent with me. I think I was her second person foiling ever 😁. They had misplaced my appointment some how but got me in within 10 minutes 😁. I rarely have an idea of what I want and just leave it up to the stylist. I had a basic end goal in mind but kept an open mind and Im so glad I did. I will definitely go back!!!

I so badly want to like this place and make it my go to for hair styling/coloring services but have been disappointed way too many times. If I am being completely honest I think the stylists are fantastic. They are still learning and you can’t be mad if they make an error. However, there is a severe lack of professionalism coming from the institutions educators and front desk staff. Most of the educators come off as uninvolved and inconvenienced if you have a problem. In case they see this review...Mikayla at the front desk needs an attitude check! BUT...if you are planning to go here ask for Brooke or Jamie and I promise you won’t be disappointed!!!

I had my brazillian blowout and highlights color on my hair and they said it will last atleast 4-6 weeks, but it is not true, even a day my hair didnt stay straight nor soft as they told me. I wanna go back there for them to see what they did but unfortunately i dont have time to do it. I expected too much from them cause i thought i found the salon that i can go to everytime. I dont recommend this salon.

They booked us with someone who couldn’t do the service so then they wanted to reschedule, ummmmmm NO! Horrible professionalism from the educator!

I had never been in before. I had a big change planned and wanted to give some students the thrill of cutting long hair. Well, it didnt go quick or smooth but that is mostly due to what I was having done and my own time constraints. I was treated well throughout though. The outcome is wonderful! I will be back and now know to schedule accordingly. The pic is before, during, after. Change is good!!!

Today I went in for highlights and a frizz control treatment. My stylist was Kyla R, who was incredible! She was so personable, fun to talk to, knowledgeable, and just overall an amazing stylist. I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she did exactly that! Her instructor was also very nice and gave great instructions for Kyla. Kyla went above and beyond, even grabbing me starbucks while we waited for my hair to done as well as offering me a massage from a girl who worked in the salon, Sierah, who was also amazing . If I could give Miss Kyla 6 stars I would.For covid they have it set up as every other station to maintain social distance and we had to wash our hands before entering as well as a temperature check.

Really wanted to like this place and people are friendly, especially Ms Sauer. But I am still very disappointed. The first time I came my hair was ok, but they ruined my shirt with hair dye. Got reimbursed, but it still was unfortunate as I could not replace my actual shirt. Second time I wanted to get my blond hair dyed into my natural hair color, a light brown. All they did was turn my darker roots into a horrible golden blond that did not even match the rest, that was still extremely blond, literally like before. I still paid 30 USD. Offered me to come back which I did and it got better but was still nowhere close to even acceptable. It was just a bit less horrible. Was promised a free deep conditioner treatment. At checkout they wanted to charge me for the conditioner, lecturing me only the fixing was for free. I insisted for her to go back to double check and it was confirmed. After that the receptionist removed it from the bill but did not speak a single word with me anymore, as if I had personally stolen from her. Needless to say I wasted two entire afternoons sitting in that chair, drving up to Tacoma and still looked like I had tried dying my hair at home.

I recently had Emily do low lights and a toner to fix hair that was not blended. Ms.Sauer was her instructor and the two of them worked great together. You can tell Ms. Sauer wants to make sure the client is happy and offered additional options than what the student suggested; however, the instructor considered the students suggestions and combined their plan and my hair is now blended. I am grateful that Ms Sauer took the time out to make sure I knew options and to start at the one that would allow me to do the other options had I not been happy with the first choice. The consist are true consults and then dont skimp on that time with the client. So glad they both listened to me. Thank you I hope to return when you are both working together again.

I got my hair done by Hallie R and she was awesome. My hair turned out amazing and I cannot wait to go back next month. Amazing students and great teachers! Absolutely recommend Hallie!

I have been to see Rylee D four times for different services (formal styling and make up, haircut, all over color, and all over vivid coloring) since December and she is always professional and thorough. Her passion for hair comes through and I love that I am able to collaborate with her to ensure my ideas come to life. I am excited to off continued support to her journey as a professional cosmetologist. Cannot wait to see her again in about 8 weeks.

FIVE STARS FOR ALYSSA B! I Went to Summit Salon Academy, Tacoma, for the first time a couple weeks ago. I took a chance and requested a specialized cut. Alyssa B. gave me the BEST haircut Ive had in years, yes, years! I loved the fact that, despite she hadnt ever done a cut in the manner I requested, she tackled it with determination and had the confidence to ask direction from her instructors when necessary. Throughout the cut, she would thoughtfully ask me if I was happy with the way it was turning out. This girl is talented and will definitely go places in her career... I just hope shell stay local when she graduates!!! Thanks Alyssa B. for one of the best haircuts Ive ever had! Ill be back for sure!

I love this school 💖 had a great time going here learning cosmetology, made tons of great friends. Im thinking about going back for esthetician plus the owners are Great people. they help people who help themselves💜so push yourself dont cry 😭 come up with ideas to reach the goal. I came in last Thursday for a facial, it was my first time ever getting a facial done so initially I had no idea what to expect.Cynthia Canley took excellent care of me, I have a lot of facial piercings so thats one of the things I was worried about but she did an amazing job she was very comforting, gentle and was great with her hands, nearly fell asleep from how relaxed I was. She was very gentle.It Was an amazing first time experience getting the facial done by her I highly recommend her she knows what shes doing! Ill be going back again soon to pamper myself.

Never received a call back for my appointment that was cancelled due to COVID March 21, 2020 although I was ensured I would receive a call to reschedule as soon as they reopened. I called again at the end of June and was told to leave a message, and was again reassured that I would receive a call to schedule an appointment “as soon as they were open.” Still no call back. I called today July 14, 2020 and it turns out they’ve been open almost 2weeks.. Yet no one has called me back.If you want an appointment (or are rescheduling due to an appointment that was cancelled during COVID) call them yourself, don’t rely on them calling you. I have been going here 10yrs + and have never been this unhappy with their service.

Had a Brazilian done by Rudy Thompson. She was professional, very detailed, and it didn’t take long. I recommend her if you need a wax. I’ll definitely come back and follow her in her career path.

I got my first Brazilian wax and arm wax ever and I was terrified and super embarrassed to even come in, but Cynthia C made me feel amazing and so comfortable. She literally explained every step of the way and was honest about any pain that I may experience. I was so comfortable through the whole process and I definitely feel amazing down there, I already am ready to come back for my next appt. I’m in love with this experience. She was amazing!!

I’ve been in 3 times and all 3 times had Dani work on my hair. She may not have done the best job the first time around but she has improved so much over the last couple months and I’m continuously impressed with her work and improvement! I went in there, never having been there before, and wow! The vibe is so upbeat, so fun, and so creative! My stylist was Kenzie, and she was fabulous. This kids got a very bright future, shes truly gifted! My inspiration hair style was Missy Elliott, with only one perspective. She filled in the blanks beautifully, and Ive gotten nothing but nonstop compliments! As good as the style was, the color was AMAZING! Definitely going to return, many times over! Pricing is fantastic too!

I had highlights done with Sarah S and I have honestly never been happier! I have paid more before with professional stylists and left unhappy. With Summit Salon and Sarah S-I got the experience of her great work but also someone double checking her work! I will definitely be back and also try some of Summits other services!

Got a facial from cynthia and I plan on doing it again!! It was so relaxing I left feeling refreshed and my skin feels way healthier . She also taught me about my skin type and what products to use to help it. Next time I am going to try the chemical peel thanks to Cynthia educating me about their services!

Earlier this week I received a facial and back treatment from Patrice R. And both were amazing! Her hands have so much love in them and she takes her time on you. I have received all sorts of services from her ranging from a Brazilian wax to a chemical peel to a lip wax and I can 100 percent say every time was spectacular. She is so outgoing and makes you feel right at home the whole appointment. I will continue coming back to her as often as possible. So glad I found someone who cares about my skin and who is patient enough to spend time caring for it completely.

So friendship aside I LOVE LOVE LOVE coming in and having Leah Oseles do my hair. Not only has she guided me to getting my hair healthy again but she is so upfront with the care and handling of my hair. She explains EVERYTHING and is honest with what will—or will not—work for my hair. I am so excited for the work we have planned soon! She really is the best !

My experience was honestly worse than I ever could have imagined. I definitely understand the fact that this is a school and the stylists are still learning, but this was on a whole other level. The stylist I was paired with was easily the most disinterested person I have ever worked with in customer service. The conversation during my appointment was uncomfortably cringe worthy as she would hardly even look at me or smile at all. This girl said she had been there for almost a whole year and honestly I dont know what shes gotten out of it because my make up application was the worst I had ever seen. The foundation was horribly pale (It made me look severely ill), uneven and crazy thick. The eyeshadow was all over my face and when I looked in the mirror when she was done it actually took my breath away. When her instructor came over I explained I was sorry to ask, but I needed a make up remover to take it all off. I could not leave the salon looking like this. The stylist came back with a dry paper towel and awkwardly started wiping my face. More like smearing the make up all over rather than taking it all off. I finally had to tell her to stop and just let me go home and take it off myself after all.It was nice that the instructor didnt make me pay for the make up services, but I still left feeling horribly uncomfortable and totally embarrassed. The sad thing is that I am sure that there are plenty of really talented people working/studying here, but I will never take that chance again after this first experience.

I had a lip wax with Madison C and she was incredible! I know a fantastic lip wax experience may seem trivial but I could tell immediately that her professionalism and confidence in that one procedure translates well to her other work. This was my first ever lip wax and she was patient and sure with her work and that definitely put me at ease. She was perfectly talkative - not too much and not too little and she offered guidance throughout the whole procedure. I honestly feel like I cant speak enough about how great she was. I even booked another procedure with her for next week because of how great she was.

I have been coming here for 17+ years. Now my daughters come here. Today, my 15 year old had her hair done by Leah, and she did an amazing job. If you want a place that uses quality products, listens to what you want done, and gives you fabulous results then Summit Salon is the place.

I have been getting my hair foiled/highlighted for over 30 years. Its very expensive so this time I decided to go to a school. Kim B. was my stylist/student and I cant say enough great things about her. First of all, I have NEVER had highlights that are so even. Shes a pro in this department! She was extremely communicative with me, so I knew exactly what the plan was each step of the way. Also, I really dont like having to do the whole obligatory chat thing when Im getting a service done and Kim must have picked up on that. She let ME lead the conversation and when I was quiet, she let me be quiet. I really appreciated that! Finally, we were together for 5 hours and Kim B. had to work through her lunch. She never gave me the impression that she was annoyed or bummed or even hungry :) Again, she acted like a true pro. I intend to come back once more before she graduates! I get my hair done by Pinky and she is always meticulous and gets the color to match. She is a perfectionist!’ I go to see her just to get my hair washed and styled. She does the very best hair wash but really she does a head massage that makes you keep coming back. She has a great personality too. If I want to rest she is quiet and if you want to talk she offers great conversation. Almost forgot to mention how she is skilled with manicures as we’ll. Great forearm and hand massage too. Yoana did an amazing job with my facial! Ive gotten facials at other salons/ clinics before and she did way more than a normal facial. She also was super careful not to do anything to make my eyelash extensions fall off which I super appreciated. She was patient, thorough, and I really liked that she took a look at my skin before she grabbed what products she was going to use. My skin felt so good afterwards!!

Pinky did an amazing job on my haircut. First time trying a hair academy and was super happy!! The staff are all super friendly and attentive. They wash your hair, cut it and then style it. Super cheap price which is awesome. I will definitely be back. Already sent my parents to see her!!

Such an incredible experience! The first time I ever bleached and dyed my hair purple, the total cost was $270 (at a different salon). I know I couldnt afford that again, and I came to Summit. For a bleach, color, cut and style it was $88, and it only cost that much because my hair was so thick! It came out fantastic, and my stylist even brought me iced coffee. The service is great, everyone is so well trained with bubbly personalities! I definitely will be coming back.

Rio was FANTASTIC!! I did an all over blonde highlight and I have a TON of hair, but she was able to get me in and out. She made sure she understood what I envisioned and then exceeded all of my expectations! Ive been to several salon schools to get my hair done, and she has by far made this one, one of my favorite experiences. She was outstanding by asking how I would like my hair cut, and took the time to allow me to pull some old photos on my phone as how I have had my haircut in the past. Went into the salon today, last minute and saw stylist Ash G. She was very professional and conversational. She was very thorough in washing my hair and gave me an amazing scalp massage. When we sat back down at her station, she immediately went and pulled the right products to give me a beautiful sleek blowout. Had an absolutely excellent experience today with my stylist Vicky Smith, got an all over color that I was being quite picky about, she was able to make the exact color I wanted somehow, even while dealing with all the previous damage and dye I had done at home myself. She even bought me a coffee! Absolutely lovely folks in a great learning and professional environment. I will be taking all of my salon business here from now on. At first it was a little rough going. It felt that the girl who did my hair wasn’t quite confident with herself and it didn’t help that she talked about how much her coworker was better than her. I think she has potential but needs to build some confidence. The instructor stepped in and with her instruction it turned out great!

Ive been here many times and although I had a bad experience with Ms.Vanessa, of whom I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend. She needs more experience with different lengths in hair especially long hair. She does not seem confident in what she does especially when it comes to coloring and she lacks creativity. She also did a NO SHOW with me twice for an APPOINTMENT, of which was very unprofessional, but maybe it was meant to be because then I would have never met some other wonderful ladies who did an AWESOME job with my hair and my daughters hair, color or style. I love how these ladies can look at my face, skin tone, hair texture then tell me whats going to look good on me and educate me on how to keep my hair healthy. So when you are booking an appointment I HIGHLY RECOMMEND KENDRA, SIERRA or MARIA. Theyre confidence shows in their work and they are so sweet. I sat with Kayla. She was very nice and communicated well but the cut was not ok. I dont blame her, shes still learning. I blame the instructor. I asked her to make the necessary corrections and she did not communicate. She acted like she understood and then made it worse. Im now in another salon, cutting another 5 inches off to fix it.I gave two stars instead of one because Kayla really did her best based on what shes been taught.

My name is Christine Jones and I have been going to see Joanna Hill for almost a year. I want to take a minute to tell you what an amazing stylist she is! Her personality is warm and engaging. From the moment you meet her, you feel like old friends.She really takes the time to get to know you. Professionally, Joanna is the best! She is an absolute perfectionist, who meticulously works with your hair until it is absolutely the way you want it. I have received haircuts, root coverages, eyebrow waxes, and baliage services from her, and her work has always exceeded my expectations. Joanna always goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are happy (one time she even asked me if I wanted her to go to Starbucks for me while my hair processed!!!!). She is the best of the best!

If you are a student looking to come here, do not come here. The educators are amazing, but the owners and the people that you would need to depend on the most here absolutely will screw you over and not think twice. They have system errors that will cost you money, they will laugh in your face when you come to them with an issue, and the back office is so unprofessional it hurts. You’d think for a school charging about 20k per student that they would be able to hire someone to fix a missed clock in instead of charging $15 per hour at the end of the year for each hour over contract. Not to mention in the state of Washington you only need 1600 hours to complete a cosmetology program, this school makes you do 1800 hours. If you’re thinking about coming here because its better than other schools equipment wise, I can assure you if you’re good at hair it won’t matter if you have “fancy” tools, even if you decide to go somewhere that doesn’t cost upwards of $20,000. Avg cost of cos school in the state is about $12000 to $15000 in case you were wondering. Go somewhere more affordable. At least when everyone that is supposed to help you sucks it will make sense.

Nicole Winters did an amazing job on my perm today (my first one ever!) and made the whole process enjoyable and even fun! I got my hair cut by her a few weeks ago and decided to come back to have her work on me again. Ill definitely be back and highly recommend her to everyone!

So when i visited Summit salon i was having my hair dyed for the first time. The stylist took time going through options with me and explaining the process, she even explained throughout the process so i knew what was going to happen. In the end, i was very pleased with the result and plan on returning in the future.

I had a wonderful experience with Yoana F. at Summit Salon Academy. I had never had a corrective facial before and she did a wonderful job. She provided great customer service and explained everything she was doing in detail. Cant wait for my next appointment with Yoana!

I have been a client three times at summit salon. As well as my daughter. A student there and I had a falling out and I assumed we would move on as adults. However she has been using her platform at school to bully me online and just in general. Just the other day one of her clients called to tell me she was obsessed with speaking negatively about me. She has drafted other students to help her bully and stalk me. I have contacted the owner Michael Shea MULTIPLE times and he has done nothing, even though their handbook clearly reads they have a zero tolerance policy. With the suicide rate up so much, I’d think they would do more to make sure their students aren’t acting like this. I will post the pictures of screenshots on their fb page as google won’t let me.

I had a great experience with the kindest and most patients stylist today, Cheyenne J. She was easy going and did well with my indecisiveness warm vs cool foil. After leaving the salon and seeing my hair in natural light, I love it. Thank you so much Cheyenne I will be back. If you go here for a foil or cut she did great on both!!!

Kiley Kaufman took EXCELLENT care of myself and my bridesmaids on my wedding day!!! We could not have been more pleased with her friendly, caring service and her very professional hairstyles. For myself, she did a braided back bang to a low side bun (think Gatsby at its finest). Very classy, and it held so well I actually slept on it after a long night of dancing hard, and was still able to rock it the next day, without feeling that weird -too-much-hairspray- thing at all. For each of the bridesmaids (there were three), she gave them a choice between curling or straightening their hair, and then unified the look by braiding back their bangs as well. In each of our hair, she tucked a few sprigs of babys breath, to add a special little touch.Additionally, Kiley insisted on doing a trial run on everyones hair the week before, which was reassuring to me of her dedication to not only do the job, but to make sure it was done flawlessly and to the absolute best of her ability. She made us all feel welcome in her own home for a fun little girls night which, to me, signals her willingness to go far above and beyond the call of duty to make sure she turns out the best possible product.Kileys cheerful, positive and reassuring mannerisms helped to keep what could have been a stressful day a fun and lighthearted one, for which I will be forever grateful. Even facing long power outages and freezing temperatures (dont even ask, oh my goodness), she was able to gracefully and efficiently navigate the situation to create the best possible, beautiful outcome, by working quickly and efficiently when it was possible to use heat tools. Personally, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND her to ANY bride, especially one who likes to be prepared for contingencies, because this lady sure knows how to roll with the punches and get her job done PERFECTLY!!! If you are planning a similar event, BOOK HER NOW!!! Also, she deserves so much more than she charges, so tip her generously!!!Pictures included, but trust me they dont do it the justice it deserves!!!

Yoana gave me my first facial ever and she was amazing! The facial I got was very relaxing after a very long week of work. She was very gentle with my skin and I appreciated her insight on skin care products. Make sure you ask for Yoana when you book your next facial!

Megan T. was AMAZING! She did my hair and makeup for a military ball, all for $36!! Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because I wish I could’ve had Megan for hair (I absolutely loved it) and a more experienced gal for makeup, especially since there were plenty of makeup/skin gals just sitting around, watching me as I was getting my makeup done. Don’t get me wrong, my makeup still turned out nice, but Megan was visibly nervous and admitted that makeup wasn’t her speciality. She was so friendly though and I wish the salon opened earlier on Mondays so I could come see Megan again for graduation hair and makeup.

Leah was so wonderful! She took the time to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted. She was super easy to talk to and I am so happy with my hair!

I had a facial with Macie. She is amazing and put me at ease right away. She talked me through every step and did everything she could to encourage me to relax and enjoy the down time. When I left I felt like my skin was glowing ! It made me want to book another appointment right away . By the way, she’s super gorgeous with a beautiful heart. You won’t regret booking an appointment with her!

Victoria Smith did such an amazing job and she gave me a haircut that makes me feel amazing. It was her good quality service and the other workers were a delight to converse with. I had an excellent time and would recommend this establishment as well as Victoria Smith for future appointments.

Ive came to this salon for the past year periodically and I have always had great service. Recently Rachel Scott did my hair and she was amazing! Very sweet and great customer service. I definitely would recommend her because shes not only passionate about what shes doing but she cares about her customers as well!

I had my hair cut and highlighted last night by Micky. Wow he did an awesome job. I brought in a picture of what I wanted but after our consultation and some google images we decided on a style that I feel is much more flattering. I only wish I had the before and after pictures to share.

My stylist Jessie is very talented. I came in needing color and I walked out with incredible results and a kick ass haircut to boot. Honestly one of the best styling experiences Ive ever had. Thank you.

I was recently in a wedding, as a bridesmaid. The bride had Kiley Kaufman doing our hair. I always get a bit nervous for these sorts of things but Kiley took such good care of us.She wanted to do a trial run with us...who does that? Someone great, thats who! It was a great chance for us to see what we wanted and a few different hairstyles, not to mention bonding a bit! She was very gentle, no pulling or tugging on hair. The day of the wedding she was amazing as well! The brides hair was absolutely stunning in the low bun and I could not have been more pleased with my hair pulled back to a braid up top.All in all, she was not only a wonderful woman, but hairstylist as well and I would highly recommend anyone using her for their hair events!

Sarah S has done three color treatments on me and will be doing a cut this weekend. She does an amazing job and is so creative. I can’t wait to see her Saturday!

I completely forgot to write a review when I came in a couple weeks ago as I was leaving for vegas the next day. But. Amber is a hair color MASTER! Not only is she friendly but not too chatty, she is also extremely thorough. She did a better job coloring my hair than some that have been doing this for years. I am so excited to see what kind of things shell do in the future and will definitely be booking with her as long as shes attending school. Thanks again babe! XOXO

My student stylist Faith, was excellent! She asked intelligent questions and listened to what I wanted. SHE GAVE ME EXACTLY WHAT I ASKED FOR! She was not hesitant about aking the instructor for guidance, and was not offended towards the end, when I asked the instructor to finish up with the cut. I went super short, lots of clipper and scissor work. Faith helped me pick out the color and did an amazing job covering the stubborn grey. I now have a fresh, bright strawberry blond to celebrate summer. Thank you Faith and Mrs. Obrian. You rock!

Saw Alli for a full foil. I was dark and in need of some love for my hair. She took the time to understand what I wanted and DELIVERED! She does amazing work. Highly recommend!!!

I have been coming to this Salon for a couple of years and have always left here pleased. The school provides great services and I appreciate how the students are well educated and are informed on new and upcoming techniques and products . I received a Chem treatment and blowout from Lauren Kodak. She was very informative and I personally appreciated the suggestions for my hair care. The experience was well appreciated!

I had a root touch up last week from Kayti and she did an AMAZING job! Shes only been at the school for a month or so and she is already so knowledgeable. She was very informative about the whole process and made me feel very comfortable about having my hair colored by her. I highly recommend her and look forward to having other services done by her. This was my first visit to the salon. Vicky Smith was my stylist, and she did a great job. She was friendly and kept me comfortable throughout the visit. Excellent knowledge of hair coloring process, and did a great job tinting and waxing my brows. I highly recommend her, and I cant wait to go back!

I was told by a friend to go here. I had Tonya as my hair stylist. let me tell you this was the best time I have every had getting my hair done and she did a fabulous job. Not only is this place the most professional looking hair school I have ever walked into, but it looks like a hair salon and its clean. Students and staff know their stuff. they ask all kinds of questions so that they dont damage your hair. I was very please and will be back again. Thank you for the awesome service.

Melissa Pappas does the best mens cuts Ive ever had. Shes able to accommodate and do any hair style requests Ive had. Ive been getting haircuts from her for the past six months and wont go to anyone else now. She has a warm, friendly personality, and has exceptional skills. You wont be disappointed. I keep telling all my friends about her. Summit Salon Academy overall is a great place to get a haircut.

Ive been going here for 8 years Ive always had a good experience, good haircuts, nice stylists and great cost. The other great thing is that you support people who are chasing a dream to become a beautician. People come from all over the place, but a lot of the students are from cities around here. Its kind of like supporting youre community in a small way. Today I went in after work to get a cut and was amazed by my stylist. I told her Give me something cool because I dont really pay attention to trends haha. They warned me that there is no warm water in the shampoo thing, but I didnt mind . I got a haircut and had a nice time talking and unwinding with my stylist. After the haircut was over because they had no hot water they let me have the haircut free of charge. Thanks so much guys! Also you get youre own mirror here there are individual mirrors for every person

Never coming back. Usually like this place but this past experience was just awful. The stylist did not know how to use clippers. Did not go up against the head and just left uneven patchy spots. Not one to usually leave a review but it was just an upsetting experience. She was nice but the haircut it self was not even subpar. Took an hour and by the end of it I just had to say it was fine and leave. Even the instructor stood by and said it looked good by the end even though it clearly was not. There are visible uneven lines and she used a towel instead of tissue leaving hair all over my clothes. Waste of money.

I went in for a full leg wax and underarm wax as Im leaving on Vacation and didnt want to shave while gone. The gal that did the waxing was very nice, I even left a much larger tip than I normally would have because I had to bring my child. My underarms turned out fine, but the legs dont even look like they were waxed. I pointed out to the gal quite a few areas that she missed, but I was trying not to touch my legs as they were sticky. However, when I got home and looked at them I seriously want to shave. Yes, the price was lower than most places but this does not look like legs that just got waxed. Now I am going to have to shave my entire vacation. Not happy with that. The instructor should have come back in and check the work of the student.

I had a blast last month getting married. Ive never planned any kind of event before, so the organization involved in getting all the different vendors on the same page was completely new to me. And now I see how hard it can be. Not to mention that issues can come up from every direction. For example, we were in a historical building with out dated circuitry. Not only were we tripping breakers, but we ended up having the city come out to repair something up on the pole only hours before the ceremony! The stress is real.Anyways, for the girls’ hair, we booked Kiley Kaufman. I came to find that when the pressures on, you want Kiley by your side. She was exactly where we needed her, when we needed her. When we were having power issues, she was able to keep the show going by moving her work from room to room. Also, she helped to create the perfect atmosphere for the girls so that they could relax while the other details were just barely holding together.And theyre hair was great! But Im not so much of a hair critic. They girls can explain the hair. What really impressed me was the quality and reliability of her service. I highly recommend Kiley for a stress free hair experience.

Alissa Nix waxed my eye brows and lip and I was very thrilled with my experience with her. She had this big smile on her face the whole time and you can tell she really loves what she does. Alissa did the best job and I will be back for sure.

I have been going to this salon for 6 years. All the experiences havent been perfect, but they always make it right even if it takes a couple more appts. Most of my family goes to this salon even my 83 year old Mom. She has been a perm model for the students twice and had a great experience. Ms Thompson is our favorite educator and she takes very good care of my family. Hope we have made a friend for life! They are so lucky to have her!

Cathy is AMAZING! I had several services with her and each one was unique, informational, and relaxing. Shes extremely knowledgeable in her field and easy to talk to. I wish I would have discovered Summit Salon sooner so I could have more treatments with Cathy :)

I have been going to this salon school for years. In order to get the best experience ask for a senior student, and tell them you have a difficult hair type/style. First you tell the student what you want done, then the student tells the instructor. Listen up at this point. Did the student explain properly? If not, you tell the instructor what you want. Then the instructor will translate to the student. This is a school, so the people who are working on your hair are learning, but they also want to get it right (they are being graded). It will take twice a long to have anything done because they have to get each step approved by their instructor. I have never had a bad hair cut! Sometimes its not what I expected to end up with, but they are always pretty cute. The price is sooo cheap. Ive paid up to 5 times the amount and had just so so hair cuts elsewhere. My daughters have had color treatments and been very happy with the outcome as well. Never had a manicure or facial so I cant speak to that.

So Im glad she gave me guidance on how I can actually achieve my desired look. Already booked another appointment with her. Great place and very affordable.

I got my hair dyed by Kiley Kaufman who did an amazing job stripping the old color from my hair, bleaching it, and helping me find a fun color that worked with my complexion. She was so easy going and explained to me what she was doing as she went. She taught me ways to bring moisture back into my hair after bleaching (I have really dark hair). She was super sweet and professional and I cant wait to think of something new I want to try for my hair cause I know shell be down to help me.
