This tattoo studio is great! It’s privately owned so you get a really intimate vibe as soon as you walk in. You don’t feel like just another client. The art and overall aesthetic is dope. You can instantly tell there’s talent working there.I went in for a cover up behind my ear. I was worried because the area is small and I didn’t want to have to go to big since I work in an office atmosphere. The end result was sized perfectly to fit the space behind my ear with out compromising the detail of the tattoo.Manuel was my artist. He made it easy for me to discuss potential options while being realistic and managing expectations. He took his time and presented me with a few options. He was professional, but friendly. The overall tattoo experience was seamless and comfortable.I definitely plan on going to him again, and would recommend him to friends/family.

Excellent shop! I have received multiple piercings at Next Level, all done by Manuel Flowers. He was very professional and ensured I understood the importance of maintenance and cleaning of the piercing sites which was very appreciated. :) all were done on a walk in basis despite his extremely busy schedule, which is amazing!!! He also took the time to touch up a tattoo done by a different artist at a different shop which I was very pleased with. The atmosphere of the shop made me feel very comfortable and I will be back again in the near future. Highly recommend!

I will never go to another tattoo shop. Manuel does AMAZING work and each time I’ve gone to him I continue to be blown away by the time and effort he puts in to ensure the tattoo comes out the way I envision it. I saw him 4 times in 2020 and he completely transformed both my arms whether it was with cover ups or just a new piece. I trust him with his knowledge and what he thinks would be best when it comes to my specific tattoos. I would recommend him to anyone. Also the overall shop has great and friendly people in there too who also do great work!

I had the most wonderful experience here! He absolutely came through for me. He coordinated on an idea of mine online in 2017, since I live abroad. Since it was my grandfathers art, the perfect result was very important to me, and Manuel understood that from the start. I only had a small window to get an appointment and he didn’t shy away to make it happen and worked through the night.I was very new to getting tattooed so this was quite the size, but he talked me through everything, made me feel very safe and after 7 hours we had the perfect result. 2 years later I wanted some small additions to this piece and also a touch up on another artists piece, both of which he did a great job on (again on a small time frame). Even my dad who isn’t the biggest fan of any kind of body art came by and was super happy and relaxed after, because he realized how professional Manuel works, and how responsible this place is (he is a girls dad as well after all).So I can recommend this place to anyone, first timers or pros - he will make your idea into art.

I have been coming to next level studio for almost 8 years and have only been tattooed by the owner Manuel Flowers. He always makes sure to take his time when creating my concepts and ALWAYS listens to what I want in the design! He has always shown me progress of my drawings and if I would like him to make any changes he never has an issue! I can’t say enough good things about Next Level Studio! I wouldn’t trust anyone else. I was new to the tattoo world and Manuel made the whole process so easy. He made me feel very comfortable and always made sure I was doing okay. It was an extremely clean environment and everything is done/opened right in front of you. I later had more work done by an apprentice there who was equally as professional. I even went back to have my sons Halloween makeup professionally done - which I thought was especially cool! They have toy drives at Christmas and are just overall great people. This is a place that not only looks out for their customers, but is doing good things for the community as well.

I went to Manuel for an idea for a portrait. I seen him do one similar on instagram. And I was so stoked. I was like I have to get this artist to do my work. When I first went to Manuel I was looking for an artist that could do justice to a portrait of my grandparents from their wedding day. The only picture I had was over 50 years old and sizing it to the area meant their faces would only be about the size of a quarter. Manuel was able to bring the picture to life, despite its poor quality, and gave me the most beautiful and meaningful piece. After that tattoo, he also finished out a huge thigh piece that, at the time, was just an outline by another artist. Despite not being the original artist, he had a great vision for the piece and brought it to life. If you’re looking for an artist in the Phoenix area with unmatched talent, experience, and artistic vision, look no further. My only regret is not having him do more work for me while I lived there.

Manuel is an awesome tattoo artist. I have been going to him for 17 years now and he does not disappoint. He has tattooed almost my whole family and we dont typically pick the easiest designs. He is honest and throughly explains what will work and will not work on specific designs, so you know you will have a great piece. He makes sure you are comfortable throughout the tattooing process. I made the mistake of going to another tattoo artist and hated that tattoo. Two months ago, Manuel did a cover up and I absolutely love the tattoo. I even cried that the ugly tattoo was covered by a beautiful tattoo that has so much meaning for me. I love this shop, I have been going to the owner Manuel for over 10 years now he always does great work and will give you a great tattoo. The atmosphere at the business is relaxed, a lot of fun and good conversations can be had. Manuel is the best artist in Arizona.

I went in with a big mind cluster of ideas for a tattoo and spoke to Manuel. I just had a very hard loss and wanted a tattoo in remembrance of my best friend who recently passed away, so he listened and explained to me very kindly how I may not want everything that was I saying and he had some ideas that he thought may work and I appreciated his honest input and education on the piece I wanted. Manuel said Mondo would be the best for what I was thinking. I told Mondo my idea and he drew it up in a couple days and I liked it a lot, but I decided the day before that I wanted to make a change and I text Mondo early the day of my appointment and asked him ifB we could make a change and that easy he said he could change it and we would get some ideas when I got there. He drew it while I waited after we spoke about the change and I loved it the drawing, but to say he killed it would be not justification for the beautiful work he completed. Mondo took his time and paid close attention to every detail, like he cared how special this tattoo was to me. I am over the top happy and impressed and can’t say how grateful and thankful I am to Mondo for doing a beyond amazing job. Everyone there was kind and it was an awesome experience and I will definitely get more work done here and I’m referring everyone I know that wants a tattoo to come here. They are the absolute best I have ever experienced and I LOVE my tattoo. I cannot say it enough how perfect and beautiful this is and how very meaningful it will be forever.! I came in with a piercing issue where my ear got so irritated it swelled over my piercing😣I called Next Level Studio hoping they could help me with my painful situation. They got me in almost right away and Manuel knew exactly how to fix my issue and even put in a new, more comfortable earring. The studio was very clean and everyone seemed to be extremely experienced. Overall, great experience and will definitely be returning for other piercings.

Manuel does absolutely amazing work. He has done several of my fiancé’s pieces and has always been extremely professional and courteous. I recently tried to get a very last minute appointment with him but naturally he was booked. Fortunately for me, one of the newer members of next level’s team, Naomi was available and was able to fit me in same day. The tattoo came out better than I ever expected. She was very thorough, extremely clean and obviously a very talented artist. I’ve been to several tattoo shops in Phoenix but this will always be my go to place from now on.

I’ve gone here twice now for two separate tattoos and I’ll only be going here for the rest of them. Everyone there are very nice and professional. I was pretty nervous the first time but it ended being the greatest experience I’ve had and work done is everything I ask for and more.

Zero stars. This place is a joke. This guy has no idea how to run a business. I took my 13 year old daughter to get a septum piercing. First he tells me I can’t even get her pierced. WRONG. (Doesn’t know the law) Then asked me if I’m sure she’s responsible enough to take care of it because his daughter isn’t. And then tries to lecture me on what I need when I had everything ready to go. I think it was his first day on the job but, Bro I don’t care about your terrible parenting and how much your family hates you. Just say you’re not comfortable piercing kids. I just want to pay you for a service. Let me decide what’s best for my daughter. I went somewhere else and it was a night and day experience. There are way too many legit places to get a tattoo or piercing. This is not one of them.

I have been going to Next Level Studios and Manuel Flowers for almost 10 years and will not go to another shop.  This is saying alot becuase I live out of state and must travel to get tattooed by him.  The work created there is incredible.  The staff is friendly, professional, and collaborative.   Above all, they take pride in their art and make sure that their clients are getting their best work with every tattoo.

Got my daughters name tatted. I was looking for someone in Arizona since I just moved here from the east coast. Manuel was professional, timely, and sanitary. The people at the shop were very nice. Had the privilege of getting work done by both Manuel and Naomi. Both artists are at the top of their game in terms of talent and professionalism. For me at least getting tattooed anywhere else, by anyone else is a waste of time and money. So glad I found this place. Will be using them from now on.
