Just finished a 12 hour night shift. Went straight to family Hyundai @ 8am in the morning for an oil change. Family has been buying cars here over a decade. Bought my 2011 genesis coupe r spec. Been doing all my oil changes here since I bought the car. Even bought new Brembo brakes here at the dealer. I understand its very busy as there was already a line when I got there. Estimated time they say was 2 - 3 hour wait max. Was there over 4 hours. On too of that they said they would wash my car. Had the little yellow thing on top of the car that said wash. After waiting over 4 hours. Saw my car still dirty and. Ot washed. On top of that there was 3 finger prints on the driver pillar. After servicing all our cars here for over a decade. First time I can say, I am disappointed!!! Questioning myself now if the 50 dollar oil change is even worth going in for anymoreπ

I arrived at this dealership to have my vehicle appraised as I had pre-approval for financing to buy something else and throughout my experience, they seemed very uninterested in making a deal. I received a low trade offer which was lower than the bottom number listed by Kelly Blue Book. My vehicle is good enough to be at least in the middle range, in my opinion. Also, while we were waiting the sales lady left us alone and provided no guidance in helping us find a vehicle to purchase. She seemed uninterested. We left and went to another dealer in the area and received a much better offer on trade and what we needed for a trade. I would not suggest this dealer to anyone. We did not feel like family there.

If you decide to go to Family Hyundai in Tinley Park, I suggest you ask for Mark Holder. Im sure all salesman/saleswomen are great but Mark was perfect for me and my wife. I hadnt purchased a new car (always bought used cars) in nearly 40 years. I was very anxious about the new car process (possible pushy sales person, hard sell on extras, etc.) but Mark put me at ease within 2 minutes, and it all worked well from there. No pushy tactics and he did more listening that talking. I zeroed in on the 2021 G80 and was almost certain I was going to purchase it. When I told him and the sales manager that I needed the weekend to think it over, I got no push back and no hassle. By Monday night, I was back to purchase it. Mark is also very responsive to any needs/questions I have had as these new cars are so complex. My last car was a 2011 that I bought in 2013. Technology has certainly changed since then. Before buying a new car that is not a Hyundai, please check out Hyundais great warranty and their 36 month maintenance program.

My daughter had spoken to him over the and he was very cordial in answering her questions. She decided right then to let him know she was bring her mother to him t o get her retirement car. Test drove some cars n decided on Santa fe. Adam explained had to order it and it wouldnt come till October 11th Well guess what it came on the first. He called to let us know end of September. Theyre always so mean on the phone, but when I get there theyre very nice and accommodating. Allowed me to wait for my car and explained everything multiple times so and let me ask questions until I understood the purpose of the unexpected service needed.

I purchased a used vehicle from Family Hyundai. They had you take a survey to rate their business. The guy is sitting right in front of you watching you rate the business. This occurred between seeing the salesperson and finance person before buying process was complete. It was a really long wait to see the finance guy. I made finance guy rip up 2 contracts because they kept sneaking in numbers (I said no to a warranty and they tried sneaking in a $2K warranty. I also transferred my own plates and they tried to charge me for new plates). Sticker on window said floor mats were included. No floor mats in vehicle. When I asked, the salesman said I will go out of my way to get you some and they will be the best floor mats but I will have to tip the guy (making you feel guilty). He then couldnt provide floor mats for the back. He was then having the car cleaned. When I got in the car to leave it still had dirt on seats, mask found under seat, oil rag in the glove compartment and personal papers between seats). Left me an empty tank of gas, low/dirty oil and little coolant. At this point, I did not argue because I had to get to my childs games and I was already there for 3.5 hours. I also signed a paper saying I did not want my picture taken. As I was about to get in car to leave, salesperson said let me get your picture to post on my personal facebook and I said no and he said please its just my personal facebook.Never ever will buy from this place and will never ever recommend this place!!! Felt like I was being scammed left and right.BUYER BEWARE-ask for the break down and dont let them give you a monthly payment number. This is how they sneak in the additional costs!!!!!!
I drove over an hour to get to this dealer to see a used car I had thoroughly researched online. After agreeing to pay the FULL ASKING PRICE, I advised them I had my own financing and would have a check overnighted to them. They then said they βhad to ADD ANOTHER $500 to the price!! Iβve got a screen shot of the advertised βcash priceβ - this is consumer FRAUD!Beware of this place as they apparently list one price online and hit you up for for more when they know youβve driven an hour to buy the car you like.

I will definitely not recommend this dealership to anyone. I was told by service dept. over the phone that they were taking walk ins for service but it was going to be a 1-3 hour wait, i was okay with that. I arrive to the service station today at 7 in the morning. I go to the desk and immediately told to go back to my car, not even a hello or how can I help you.Iβm told that they are not taking walk inβs but they take the guy in front of me. They are liars and I feel very discriminated, no one has called me or even emailed me.

Stay away from this place. The Sales Department manipulated my wife twice. They are so desperate for sales that they will deceive people, binding them into contracts they cannot even understand. They use flowery language to deceive people who dont know better. I will be reporting this despicable place. Shame!To the owner: Its too late for that. I talked to your director of sales about how one of his salesmen manipulated a disabled woman into getting a car she did not want or could afford, and he blew his chance to make it right by saying that there was nothing he could do. The salesman even promised her a loaner car for when she dropped off her car for weatherproofing, but they said they had none available, and then my wife saw someone who came after her drive away with a loaner car. So, you people think you can treat people with disabilities as if they are less than human? Well see.
I do not recommend Family Hyundai in Tinley to anyone. I had a horrible experience with buying a used vehicle there. I purchased a used 2020 Hyundai Palisade and all I did was buy someone elseβs problems. I test drove the car around 5pm and it was getting dark on February 27th so there are many things I did not notice right on the spot. Yes, that is my fault and I have beat myself up about that over and over. I test drove it and all seemed fine. I was told that the car would be detailed and it would look like new. I spend hours sitting there waiting for my turn to sign the paperwork and I THOUGHT the car was being detailed (it wasnβt). On my way home around 9pm the Forward Collision Avoidance Assist came on and said the FCA system was disabled because the radar was blocked. Of course this did not happen during the test drive or I would have passed right on the spot. The next day 2/28 I went out in the morning to take a good look at the car and see if I could figure out what was happening with the sensor. Well I noticed the front bumper cracked near the license plate. Then I noticed a rust spot on the hood and the USB port in the center console didnβt work. The car was also most definitely not detailed. It was filthy! It was covered in what seemed like a black oil substance. We followed up with our sales guy and he said bring it back on Monday 3/1 and it would all be fixed. I wanted to return it but none the less I took it back and I was promised the bumper would be fixed, hood rust would be fixed, USB port fixed, and it would be detailed. I was told it could take up to 3 days. Ok, fine I gave them another chance like they asked. 3 days go by and I get a call saying the car isnβt ready. They are waiting for parts. More days go by and the car isnβt ready because they ordered the wrong part. Days pass and I canβt pick it up because the paint on the hood it too wet. A few more days go by and the car is too wet from being detailed so I have to wait one or two more days. Those days go by and now I canβt pick it up because they canβt get the FCA system sensor to stop coming on. At this point we are at 16 days!! I tell the sales guy I am done with this car. I no longer want it. It had only been in my possession for about 24 hours. He relays the message to the GM who says I saw the car and I bought it that way. He doesnβt have to do anything for me outside of what is under warranty. He said when I bought it back on Monday 3/1 I agreed to have them fix it. I said yes but here we are on 3/16 and I still donβt have the car. I would have never agreed to this if I had known it would be 18 days in the end when I got it back. He said just let me fix it and you can be happy and it was too late to take it back; that the title transfer had already been done. I feel defeated and I say ok I will wait 2 more days. Thursday 3/18 comes around and the sales guy brings it to my house and said itβs been detailed LIKE NEW and everything is fixed including the FCA sensor. I notice the cracked bumper still that he said would be fixed and his response to me was they donβt have to fix that, it just has to be functionable. The only thing they did was fix the USB port, fix the hood and spot wipe the bench seat. There was still the black oil like substance in the center console and the doors were nasty. The interior is just gross. I would give anything to just have this car go back and I wish I never stepped foot into Family Hyundai. I was told so many stories to benefit them.

Firstly I wasnβt desperate for getting a vehicle but I received a letter saying a was Pre approved. To my understanding Pre approved means they donβt need to run your credit. Well they sure ran mine even though I didnβt want them to but anyway they ended up getting me into a vehicle with my bad credit putting down $3,500 and almost $800 a month for a $23,000 vehicle. I drove it off the lot and returned it the next day because it was not cleaned out from previous owner. Dealership said they donβt clean vehicles out like me they only do light vacuum in front not the back. Wish they wouldβve told me this upfront so I could just go somewhere else to buy a cleaned up vehicle. Then I notice a few things missing or not working like remote start, DVD player remote, back seat doesnβt work, gps coming out the windshield looking tacky, cap missing for wiper fluid, fluidβs needed to be topped off, tires needed to be rotated and was told by seller there is no warranty on a used car that I just bought for over 20k. I talked to higher ups and they said it came with a 2yr warrantee and they would take care of everything. They kept the car I just bought for a week to fix everything. I get the car back and itβs still dirty so I payed to have car detailed. Iβve only had car now for a total of 5 days and already have 1st month note due. Iβm regretting buying this vehicle so far and highly doubt Iβll ever buy from this dealership again.

The car was broken..test drove the car ..sounds like the wheel bearing then the assistant said it just came from the shop getting fix..Really!

Check-in was quick, service team takes great consideration of peoples time. Without hesitation, i was put in a courtesy vehicle because parts needed to be ordered for my vehicle. Only downside, i wish the courtesy vehicle could be equivalent to your vehicle being serviced. With that being said, i will definitely return for additional services. I feel like my time is valued at Family Hyundai. Thats whats most important to me, outside of quality of work.
Austin Osas helped me with my purchase of a Tucson Hybrid 2022 the Amazon Grey. Austin is very knowledgable and updated about the new technologies of all vehicles. I initially wanted a Kona but after I expressed I am expecting, he explained that a car seat might not be best suitable for a newborn due to the space in a Kona. Got my Tucson within 2 1/2 hours after arriving.

This is the worst experience Iβve ever had with a car dealership. Bought a truck from Tinley park and was by far the worst mistake. A week into me buying the truck the transmission went out. I was giving a 4 week service date. They didnβt want to give me a loaner car. Until I had to call multiple times and argue with the whole staff. Once they did fix my transmission. 2 days of me getting it back. Now my radiator is busted and air condenser is out. So I have no heat. Which happened while they were working on it. Now they have given me another 4 week service date. Worst dealership ever

Family Hyundai has consistently delivered fantastic service and help. I was extremely happy when I bought my Genesis back in April of 2018, and they have not let me down with their service. I had an issue with my navigation SD card, and they ordered me a new one and installed it right away, free of charge! I think one thing that I love when I get my vehicle serviced is that they know right away what I need after I make my appointment online. Very friendly staff, and kudos to Tom and Rich in the service department for being the most professional people I had to deal with in any dealership. I couldnt be happier.
Bought a new 2020 Santa Fe on memorial day the overall experience was great.My sales guy I dealt with was Ryan. Out of all the dealerships I visited (Libertyville, elmhurst, McHenry, etc) Ryan was the ONLY salesman that didnt make me feel pressured or feel like it was a hassle for him to be working with me. He was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the vehicles in question and even about other brand of vehicles. Any questions he wasnt 100% on he would find out right then and there.Hes great with constant communication (not the annoying 3 calls a day and 10+ emails weekly email blast) and made sure I was well taken care of.

Family Hyundai has exceptional service. They are very friendly, want to help you find the best car with the best deal, and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.
As a WOMAN, my suggestion to you is dont deal with this car dealer. I recently brought my car in for an oil change and had a follow up appointment to fix a scratch (for which I paid a warranty for) and when my son brought the car for a follow up appointment was told a) there wasnt an appointment (fyi- have the text to prove it) and b) leave as the paint person wasnt there. When I called the Service Manager Mike and was upset about this disservice - and used the term it was bxxxshxt. I was told as a WOMAN that I should not swear and that Mikes wife and daughter dont speak that way. So, its funny how as a WOMAN, I bought and paid for the car but as a WOMAN I am not allowed to swear or complain about bad service. This apparently must be reserved only for MEN at Family Huyndai. It is 2021- I should not have to get a lecture from a misogynist service director. So, I highly suggest NOT buying or using this dealership if you are a WOMAN. Needless to say, next time I buy it car, it will most likely not be here.

I purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe in Nov. 2009, very very happy. I now purchased a 2020 Venue, (wanted something smaller) Jerry Lacey was very informative, very helpful, very nice, I especially liked that he just took care of exactly what I was looking for, did not push me to spend what I know I did not need. Hard to explain, but he made us feel very comfortable and taken care of . Thank you all
Tom was extremely rude and unprofessional. His attitude was very dismissive and offensive. In all the years I have brought my car into this location this was the first time I have experience this level of disrespect. I will not allow his ill mannered behavior to stop me from visiting again. However I will not engage in any conversation nor will I speak with this person when on-site for service. Tomβs behavior may have been acceptable in the 16th or 17th century but I will not tolerate this school of thought in 2021.
My family has been returning customers of Family Hyundai for years, we are always happy and satisfied with the service provided from this dealership. Our salesman Larry ( nick named laid back Larry) is the greatest !!! He makes you feel so relaxed and comfortable during your decision making process without putting any pressure on you. We appreciate him finding the our daughters the Hyundai Tucson of their choice and everyone at Family Hyundai for being so wonderful.
Bryan Schultz was a pleasant gentlemen to work with. We were looking for my appointment I made online and we couldnt find it. I happen to be reviewing the confirmation email and found that it was for a different day. It was my error however Bryan was able to squeeze me in to service my car. Once my car was done instead of texting me Bryan called me personally to inform me my car was ready for pick up. What a GREAT experience!! Thanks Bryan for all you did!! I called on my 2020 Palisade and asked for help on a minor warranty issue. It was important to me because it related to the window shade on the side of the vehicle where my newest Granddaughter sits. I wanted to make sure she would be protected from the sun in a safe manner. I explained this to Angela in your service department. She was very busy and told me she would look into the issue, make sure the parts were in stock and get back to me. Within 30 minutes she called me and set up a time for me to bring the vehicle in. When arriving at Family Hyundai, Advisor Eric K. already knew I was coming and quickly fixed the problem. While I was waiting, Al P. stopped to see me and ask how I and the family were doing. I have known Al since 2009 when we bought our first Genesis. Back then, he advised of a coating that would keep the cars paint in like new condition. I invested in it and the car still looks great today. I trust his judgement and advice. Your organization does not just sell vehicles, it sells the entire package from the reliable and safe vehicles to the best service and care in the business. Thank you
I was so impressed after going with my daughter to get her first new car I went back three weeks later to see if I got the same fantastic service for myself? I was not disappointed.Friendly service, and what service. My last five vehicles have been Dodge brand with their three year warranty, no more.Hyundai with a ten year warranty and the staff with the friendly family type atmosphere make this the place to go when you want a new car.Iβm telling my son he needs a new car and guess where he will be going?His new car will have a big slanted H on the front of it.I might need a dealership of my own to park our family Hyundaiβs.
