I normally do not write comments on car repair experience. But, my experience with this business is quite different from other dealers or auto shops.First of all, receptionists are quite happy to talk to the customers even though I was placed on hold for briefly.They seem to enjoy their jobs of listening and helping customers.My old car problem was, sunroof could not close.I called my regular auto shop to see if it can be fixed. Unfortunately, the shop could not handle that kind of job. Since my car is an old car, I don’t even bother to call dealership. I found this business by searching on internet. I just want to give it a try.This shop fixed the sunroof and did comprehensive inspection with very reasonable price. There is no pressure at all on their part. They sent out comprehensive health of the car in the email and recommendations. It is very helpful for me to know comprehensive health of the car for safety with very decent price. I will definitely go back to this shop and recommend for friends and families.

They were very friendly and helpful. I took my car into the dealership for a recall and the dealership gave me a long and expensive list of items that they wanted to repair. I took my car to Tinley auto for a second opinion. I showed the list and they were honest about what actually needed to be done, what could wait, and what really didnt need to be done. They put the customer first not their pocket book.

The staff and service here is wonderful.Kept informed by text and email of repairs being done and all checks run on the vehicle.I have been taking my cars here for years - with two college aged students it is peace of mind to know that their vehicles are safe to drive to their out of state schools. Tinley Auto is a family owned business who really cares about their customers. They are friendly and good people. Quality service at reasonable prices. I recently bought a 1996 Corvette and they did a pre-buy inspection at no charge! The owner Chris is a Vette lover and knows much about them so that’s great to know! I scheduled an appointment via and within 24 hours got a response regarding times. The available times didnt work so I called and they got me scheduled. Based upon allThe other reviews I felt safe as a woman taking it there. They did the work that was needed and I had them complete an oil change and other things while there. Also everyone was so nice! Great job.They definitely have a new customer.

My car just hit 100k miles and they took care of everything that needs to be done. Along with taking pictures of other things that needed to be done. Everyone is super professional and very nice. Ill definitely be using them again in the future.

My truck was leaking antifreeze and they performed a coolant system diagnosis to help me pinpoint the issue. They are very communicative and perform work quickly. I decided to do the repair myself as it was a fairly simple repair and I felt the labor cost quoted to fix was on the higher side. I was able to replace the water pump in an hour with the help of a YouTube video. They do offer a warranty with their repairs so it’s a plus for people not mechanically inclined.

Jim and Tammy are always very friendly and take the time to explain what is going on with my car while its in the shop. The texted/emailed inspection report is second to none and gives me peace of mind that the technician found the problem and even adds pictures so that I can see what the tech is referencing in the notes. A+

My new go to place for all my car needs! Had a few issues with my Audi S3 and they were able to take care of everything without a problem. They even ordered a part twice for me after not being happy with the way the first one came to make sure what they were installing something reliable. Definitely recommend this place for everyone!

A wonderful place to get your car fixed. The staff personnel are professional and extremely courteous. In fact, this was the most enjoyable car repair service I ever experienced. They are second to none.I appreciate the fact that everyone was cheerful and answered each and every question I posed (something we do not see too often today). Equally important, they checked my vehicle from top to bottom and offered a very comprehensive evaluation that was intelligible and certainly appreciated.

Was so impressed! They were one of the few willing to confidently service a foreign car (VW Beetle - do not buy one! Maintenance is a huge pain!). They found and repaired the problem quickly. They were able to get the necessary parts quickly, which is not usually the case with German cars. Great, friendly people. Highly recommend.

5 stars and I’ll be back next time I need work done. Clean and honest shop, the highest compliment I can give these days! Brought vehicle in thinking I would need pads and rotors replaced. They called back with a diagnoses and fixed it right up. Vehicle inspection report is very cool/useful as well. They care about the customer and it shows. I’ll be back for sure.

I am impressed with their diagnostic ability. Unlike other other auto repair shops Tinley Auto was able to accurately pin point my problem the first time and offer a solution at a fair price. The repairs were completed satisfactorily with just a minor correction that needed attention which was immediately handled. I liked that they emailed me a Vehicle Health Assessment report and they were always happy to answer my questions. Tammy would go the extra mile to get me answers and she is a delight to speak with. I would recommend their service.

I love this mechanic shop. They replaced a tire, car battery, cabin air filter and did a full inspection on our car. The inspection included many pictures of all the cars systems and detailed findings. They are currently following COVID guidelines and wearing face masks. Friendly, professional and on time.

Very good customer service on the phone. From start to finish everything was very well explained and the report they give you at the end is very detailed. I’ve only had my car back a few days after it was serviced but it is driving well and it seems like my issues have disappeared. Price was reasonable and it was taken care of in only 2 days. Also what I loved is they left a note on the steering wheel stating that the car was sanitized properly to help prevent the spread of Covid 19. Would recommend 👍🏻

Extremely happy with the services received. In addition to an oil change, they also repaired our rear hatch and a leaking sunroof. I will be returning in a couple of weeks for additional work that has already been explained and priced to my complete satisfaction.

Chris and Jim worked hard to solve some mouse damage problems to my 05 Xterra. They even found a recall for one of the problems I was having and referred me to the dealer for a warranty repair. I had to basically get my whole suspension replaced. This went through insurance so it was extremely slow. Tinley Auto repair however was great. Car feels great. The car was cleaner than when I towed it to them. This was my first experience and I dont plan on it being my last.

I recently had my car serviced for emissions issues and they ran one of the most comprehensive diagnostics that was emailed to me outlining the issues. I also was called and was fully informed of what needed fixed now along with what could wait and what couldnt. They even went and took it in for the testing for me to make sure it passed (what place does that?!). I spoke with Jeff I believe, who was really nice and informative, and when I questioned some things on the invoice I didnt understand he took the time to explain everything and wasnt at all bothered by my need to know details which made me a very satisfied customer. They also shuttled me home when I dropped it off which was convenient. Also, when I picked up my car initially, I also met the cutest new staff member (a puppy). So glad to have a reputable shop in the area, and I feel I paid a fair price for the work which I looked up. Highly recommend if youre looking for an honest and quality place.

I was referred by my brother in law for typical auto repairs a few years ago. Little did I know that they would be caring for not only your car, but your kids who drive it - When they look over your car, you get a detailed report WITH photos sent via email. The report let you know what is o.k. on the car, what needs to be repaired right away, and what will need repair soon. They are honest, and go over and above treating you like you are a part of their family. I honestly wouldnt go anywhere else.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! My boyfriend called to inquire about labor costs and to speak about the problems with the car. Not only did she hang up, but she was extremely rude & said they would not do “dirt cheap” labor which was never expected nor asked. A call to ask a few simple questions was responded by this lady with attitude and disrespect. Will never consider going here.
