Absolutely impeccable service by John Hall, Martin Dino, and the entire team at South Bay BMW. They were able to respond at a moments notice to trade in my lease and get me in a bigger car for my growing family (my wife and I are expecting our second child shortly). I couldnt be happier with their time, effort, responsiveness and honesty. Also, the new car is amazing!

Steve Green at South Bay BMW facilitated my lease buyout and really treated me like a friend. He was in constant contact with me throughout the entire transaction because it ended up taking a few days due to my personal schedule. He was very honest and straight forward about my various costs and options so I can be 100% sure about what is best for my situation. Additionally, the entire staff at South Bay BMW is very friendly and courteous. There are other BMW dealerships that are located much closer to my home but I would go out of my way back to South Bay BMW because their facility and service is first-class!

Please don’t waste your time. I was going in cash and considered bringing in my own financing. Which my financing company already runs my credit and works directly with this dealer. Brad the manager was useless and the staff was unprofessional Peter Greenberg.My financial institution offered me 1.89% on a new car 2.09% on a used. They will never beat those interest especially on a used car.They wanted to run my credit again which is not true they get a kick back for running my credit. So they expect me to run my credit twice and told me it won’t impact your credit which is also incorrect two inquiries takes big hit. They didn’t have to run my credit, even if I was coming in cash you have no business running my credit I’m coming in cash. Anyway they didn’t want to work me me and said they needed to run my credit which is a lie when I’m bringing in my financial institution that works directly with them. There’s no need for them to run my credit but they’re money hungry and since they get a kick back every Time you run your credit they want to make that money. They hate when you come in cash because they lose, and why not in every transaction someone has to lose and this time it’s not me they lost a preferred customer and making sure no one else goes there

Here we are again. Unfortunately my sister had a serious car accident in her 230i (shes fine now) and I just want to take a moment to point a few things out. The BMW Connected Drive SOS function immediately called for help and stayed on the phone with her until help arrived. The system activated as soon as it detected the accident. I also want to point out how safe these cars are. The was hit on the drivers side and subsequently hit a pole (ill include pictures). She was able to get out the car with minor injuries. Every safety system performed as it should and we couldnt be happier.Feeling safe and confident in the BMW Brand, she purchased a new one within a week of the accident. As usual, Reginald Jones, Harland and Nicole took great care of us. It was a no fuss experience finding the perfect car (this time a 430i xDrive) and the buying process was quick, straight forward and we were on our way. This dealer and the people in it are family. Everyone is friendly and really care about you. My aunt, cousin and neighbor are now in the market and actively looking at South Bays Inventory based off my sisters safety and how welcoming and comfortable this dealer makes you feel. Thank you all for continuously providing world class service. (Update)Well they did it again. Another happy experience from South Bay BMW. I have referred my friends and family to this dealership time and time again and we all leave with a new car from People we consider family. I have enclosed photos of my happy friends and family and their vehicles including myself.I recently came in with my cousin who was recently in a car accident to purchase a replacement for the vehicle she wrecked. As usual, Reginald Jones was courteous, friendly, transparent and overall a pleasure to work with. I can’t say enough good things about him and I trust him From the moment I walk in until I return the vehicle. I also love how he is knowledgeable about the inventory and respectful of our budgets. He uses that information to recommend the perfect car that will suit our budgets, wants and needs.The approval process was quick and while I’m at it, I want to point out another All-Star player which is Harland. He’s the most awesome guy you will come in contact with. Very respectful, understanding and makes you feel like you aren’t purchasing a car, you’re purchasing an experience. Once we went upstairs into finance, the paperwork process was extremely easy. I like the transition from signing all those papers physically to being able to sign them digitally. George Houmsi Is the other MVP on this team. He’s efficient, extremely humorous, and doesn’t force you to purchase anything that doesn’t suit your needs and wants. Once all the paperwork was signed, it was hand it to me on a flash drive. How cool is that?! By the time I got downstairs, the car was ready to go with a big red bow on top. Reginald Jones, Harlan and George made the car buying process so easy. It’s changed my perspective and the perspective of others on what car buying should be. These guys set the bar high for other dealers and for that, I’ll continue to be loyal to BMW.

I arrived at SouthBay dealership at 10AM, Thursday (10/21) for an appointment to service my car, but once I was there at 10am, the service advisor told me that they didn’t have time to service the car today, it will be serviced tomorrow. I had to leave it there over night, and no loaner car either (why not prepare a loner car since you knew the fact), I had to take uber. Why the appointment? This is totally absurd, I thought you make an appointment so the service allocates the time to service the car, otherwise what’s the rational to make the appointment …… I had no choice but left with Uber. No response the second day, I called finally on Saturday, but to know that the parts had to be ordered and it won’t arrive on Monday (10/25), and it will be serviced on Monday. I was told once the car is serviced they will call me …. No call….. today (10/30) I called again after 9 days, the service advisor was not there, someone answered in the service department and told me the car was not serviced ….. I was shocked, this is totally unprofessional, unacceptable, and beyond comprehension. I though southbay is a reputable place, now I must reevaluate the misconception. It started to become obvious to me that, unless you can contribute significantly, RECONSIDER OTHER OPTIONS!!

BAD SERVICE. Had an appointment on Saturday, so I brought my car to this South Bay BMW and the advisor told me the specialist wont come until Tuesday.. It was you guys telling me specialists come every Saturday and thats why I came... Then, they dont let you do a loaner car. I was even wiling to pay for it or a rental car using insurance, but they said they dont do it for car owners whose BMW is more than 4years old. Is having a 5year old BMW a problem? This is ridiculous but they call it POLICY. I later called Long Beach BMW and they said more than welcome to provide a loaner car no matter what. I quickly cancelled a service here and brought my car to Long Beach. Got 330i for a loaner. Later on I eventually visited Buena Park and let them repair my car, and they gave me a 2021 X5 as a loner without making a deposit. Never going to this South Bay BMW ever, this is a worst one. Why would I go to Buena Park when I live right near the South Bay? It is all about the service and attitude! My boyfriend was willing to purchase a X4 here, asked for a test drive early this year. The advisor was careless and rude, only seeking for immediate contract that can profit him right away. So disappointing to see that, so after that my boyfriend and I went to South Bay Mercedes the same day afternoon and got a black GLC300. Shame on you South Bay BMW!!!

Wonderful! The sales team is excellent. I’ve purchased 2 cars from them. Both times couldn’t have been happier. This last car- I didn’t know what I wanted. Eventually went with his recommendation. All I’ll say, is, he was right! It was something I wouldnt have chosen for myself. He listened to what I liked and didn’t. Then showed me one that fit those needs. Best car with the best sound system I’ve ever had. The heated steering wheel I didn’t need? I changed my mind on that too! Love these guys! No pressure. Just help.

I recently had a horrific experience with South Bay BMW customer service .... I was returning a loaner car (also after being told after almost 100k miles my X5- which is under warranty until 100k miles - still didnt need new brakes - which would be covered under warranty-- I highly doubt I dont need new brakes after driving 100k miles- and think BMW just doesnt want to replace them under warranty)However when I was returning a loaner car- I waited initially 90 minutes to actually even get the loaner car- but had been warned about long wait ahead of time... when I went to return loaner car... they told me your car will be right out... and I waited ..., and waited .... And waited .... And asked the valet attendant several times- please tell me if my car is coming out next? If not Ill take an Uber and pick up my son and come back.... My young son was waiting outside a swim lesson for me and I had no way to communicate with him.... I told valet attendant this multiple times and she kept just looking at meBlankly and insisting my car would be right out. This was OBVIOUSLY NOT TRUE and I ended up waiting almost 45 minutes for my car to be pulled up.... Which is absolutely unnecessary and unacceptable... but I was mainly upset about my son waiting alone ... and if the valet girl had been up front and honest about the time frame it could have been handled appropriately. The only reason my car was brought out in 45 min was I had to ask my service advisor to get it.I was extremely upset and asked to speak to manager and despite multiple emails never heard from anyone.With the expensive charges etc I am shocked at the terrible service I received and how mismanaged and disorganized South Bay BMW is... and clearly disrespectful toward their long term customers.

Would not go here to buy a car. We called the morning of since they had a car that we wanted and they said to come by in the afternoon and made an appointment. We arrived in the afternoon and not only did they act like they didnt know who we were, but also they didnt bother telling us the car was sold ...but wait it wasnt because they have no idea what theyre doing or their inventory.Then they said we could test drive it, but only around the block because they didnt want to put too many miles on a car. So they handed us the keys and told us to wait for a genius to lead us through the features and test drive. 40 minutes later in the hot sun, no one showed up. We walked back inside and asked for an update, nobody knew. I asked for water and the response I got was theres a vending machine upstairs. Another salesman yelled from a different workstation that its broken. So we werent offered anything and waited for nearly an hour at this point. Then, a MINI salesman gets put with us to test drive the car, but he has NO idea about any of the features that we ask, any package/feature details, and even blatantly makes things up about the cars features.We return from the four turn test drive and are left alone for another 15 minutes while we discover a loaner version of the car we wanted. Our salesman greets us and has no idea that this car is the same one we were looking for, but then shows his ignorance as he has no idea what packages are included in each level of the car and further makes up amazing things this car can do somehow.Just a terrible experience overall and wouldnt waste your time bothering with this dealership unless you want to be lied to, dont want to test drive cars, or definitely want to buy a different brand.

Tips: 1. If you have a trusted service advisor stick with him. Make sure he is working that day wehen you go in. 2. If you scheduled and he is not there. Stand your ground and tell them why you came in that day. Do not request for additional stuff. They will ask you for other things, just say No. Make sure you are clear. 3. Make sure to ask every single detail on the paper before signing. They will add unecessary things that you did not request. Do not assume what you read on paper is what was talked about. The description is deceitful. 4. You can try to complain to the service director. He is easy to reach but you would not hear back from him. Probably he would not take any action.Remember this things and you might get a pleasant experience. Stress and hassle free.

Took my mini in for an oil change and battery replacement on Thursday morning at 8AM and was told that the service would be completed on Friday afternoon at the latest. Now being told that the service will be completed on Monday at the earliest. How long does it really take physically to perform an oil change? 1 hour at most? also they were out of loaner vehicles Thursday, Friday, and Saturday so Im stuck without a vehicle to drive over the weekend. What sort of repair shop takes more than 3 business days for an oil change.You might have a 5 star sales experience but what happens when your vehicle needs service? Is it still a 5 star experience to wait 3 business days for an oil change? Service and maintenance is the larger portion of the vehicle ownership and definitely something to consider when shopping for a new vehicle.

Ive never seen such an amateur service before.I went to change the oil, but they told me to leave it because they didnt have any parts, and they didnt have a rental car, so Ive been asking my friend for rides for days. Finally, today is the fifth day and they are telling me to take the car because its ready. How come the dealer shop doesnt have an oil change part and doesnt offer a rental car when they tell me to leave it for a few days? For your information, I paid for maintenance program for 3 years, and its been less than a year.

I took my e46 M3 to Darryl at South Bay for an airbag recall. The process was smooth and painless. As soon as I pulled in a service rep greeted me(socially distanced of course) then Darryl came to thoroughly examined the car for damages to ensure the car came back as it went in. The service was done quickly and Darryl clearly explained what was done to the car before handing the keys back over to me.About the facilities:The dealership offers indoor, and outdoor waiting areas which are cleaned often. Unfortunately the Coffee bar was closed due to the pandemic, so I walked about 5 min to the Starbucks nearby to grab some coffee.Will be back!Thank you Darryl.

I submitted an inquiry to purchase a vehicle and trade mine in. The salesperson called and asked me when I can take my trade in for an appraisal. As a courtesy I told him what I was trying to accomplish and he immediately said Oh, were too far off, have a nice day! He didnt ask how much equity I have in my car, he didnt ask if I was planning on putting money down or anything else in that manner. So I called back, and I asked him if he knew how much my trade was worth and how much I was planning to put down. He said he didnt, thats why he was trying to get me to go in! Clearly not the case after he decided to rudely wish me a nice day. Amazing how lack of training and judgmental attitude is costing this dealer so much money.

Buying/ leasing a car is never an easy task. We spent approximately 2 hours test driving, and 2 hours negotiating the price on Sunday afternoon. It was just not easy... The good thing though was that, Jeff got the cars side by side so we can compare them.On the signing date, some unexpected happened, and the deal almost fell off. We spent another 3 hours on site. Thanks to George; he helped us through the process, and fixed some numbers to revive our deal. If you are in the area, I would really recommend George to be your sales rep; he is sociable, straightforward, and patient.

I had issues moving forward with financing John Pinto left me with this problem because he has another customers in line, despite on the fact that we already discuss the business for an hour. Also, lied to me that he emailed me the information and he never did ! His manager never reached out to me when requested form other reps. No transparency .. shady place, zero customer service.

The worst customer service ever. Claiming 2-3 days because of the queue to get cars serviced (even general maintenance). They also said every car dealer is experiencing that long of a wait for maintenance lol but I Went to Long Beach and they said it would only take a couple hours. Long Beach also offered a loaner car and reserved one for me based on my appt time and said the requirement was over 21….South Bay BMW is a joke. The employee told me I could get a loaner car if I met the requirements of being over 25, had a valid CA DL, and had full coverage insurance. I called later about it because I wanted to make sure I could get a loaner car before being without my car for 2-3 days over the WORK WEEK and the man on the phone said the requirement was over 30 instead. It seemed like they were trying to limit or prevent people from using their loaner car service even though they said it is a 2-3 day wait… also I had to wait 15 minutes before an employee would even look in my direction or talk to me about what I had done in for. All the managers looked at me and continued to do their own thing and it was only when I had walked up to one and asked where I could get help for an appt I made for general service did anyone talk to me.

I never write reviews, but I chose this location because of all the great reviews. I’m extremely disappointed in the treatment here. We showed up and no one was willing to help us. People were at their desks (with no customers) and still wouldn’t help. The kicker: an older couple walked in the showroom AFTER us and received assistance instantly. The discrimination experienced at South Bay BMW is inherently clear in the culture at this location. Your team ruined my BMW experience to the point where I didn’t even want to be associated with one anymore. So, I drove next door to Audi South Bay and I got just what I needed and more. It’s unfortunate that your team missed our sales, yes sales, from a lack of customer service. Don’t waste your time here. OK, I’ll wait for marketing to give me a generic reply with an email to contact their management knowing nothing will change. At a minimum, I hope this helped someone else.

I sent two BMWs of mine which resulted in both cars being damaged requiring bodywork and repainting (at the cost of BMW). The only reason Im giving two stars and not one is that Darryl Kwok and Julio (loaner) are without doubt an excellent, professional, and truthful worthy of himself of 5 stars.Background :This was the worst and the root cause of a 1 star review. The car was due for oil change so we brought the car 2 days after I got my first car back. We also told Darryl that we had slight bumper damage from being rear ended last year and whether we should get this fixed for a return lease. He checked the car and noted that we would likely have to fix one part. Upon receiving the car back after the oil change, the front bumper was damaged (see pictures), the reflector was chipped, front sensor was pushed back, and rim was scratched. Yet again, BMW has damaged our car but this time much worse. We asked the valet staff not to touch our car as we wanted Darryl to see the car as it was brought to us. Darryl demonstrated great professionalism and empathy and told us this damage was not present when we dropped the car off. We were issued another loaner (same car in fact we dropped off for the 2nd car). Once we had the car returned, I asked the valet driver to bring the car into light so that I could see the paint/body work repair job in sunlight. I took my time to check, however Brian from valet kindly asked me if I could move my car, however I told them I dont move my car until I see the job done since they damaged my car (they meaning BMW, not accusing him). The reason for this is that I do not want to take possession of the car at this point and be liable to anything not fixed on the car until Ive seen it. However he took the key and moved the car into the parking lot. After telling him that I did not want it moved because you guys (again, in respect to BMW not him which I tried to tell him). He became extremely confrontational and argumentative telling me to stop accusing him of damaging the car, which I never did (I never accused him, I accused BMW South Bay in general since they did damage the car). He continued to argue with me while walking off, extremely unprofessional and clearly needs to understand customer service simply saying I understand you are upset your car is damaged ... could have change then entire experience however walking off arguing with a customer in front of others was extremely disrespectful. He would not valet (had other individuals) valet the car thereafter.To finalized, once we did take possession of the car and drove less than one block, there was a malfunction of the fog light (which we immediately knew BMW either forgot to connect it back when they were fixing the bumper or could have damaged it). He worked tirelessly to find the perfect one with all the options and color scheme I wanted even though my lease wasn’t up for a few more months. If I could give no stars I would. As a small business owner I dont give bad reviews but as a woman in business I felt it was important for me to alert other women of the discrimination they will face when entering this dealership. These sales MEN will laugh at you, ignore your text and not take you seriously when you try to get a car with them. I basically begged Reggie my past sales guy to help me find a new car and to no availability. I then reached out to Steven Green a portfolio manager for help and after one phone conversation I never heard back. These men treated me as if I were invisible and my business was not important. Theyre lucky I am not attaching screen shots of text messages. You will also find in the fine print of your contract that they finagle numbers on lease mileage. Watch out!! Do not shop here if you are a woman as your money is not as worthy as to that of a mans.

To all that have any questions about the best dealerships around, look no further. At South Bay BMW, I was thoroughly looked after by both the Sales and Porter team, but also the Finance team. I had been searching for the right M4 for months and Jeff(Mo) helped me find exactly what I was looking for. After stepping in their refreshed lobby you have a great feeling. I could tell instantly when seeing the showroom floor that the owner had a great deal of insight/investment in this dealership(he keeps his collectors cars/custom bikes on the floor). My lease will be ended in Aug. So I came to estimate how much for buy out. I have already knew my pay off amount before tax, I dont mind you charge something for change title and deal with dmv. Guess what, the sales rep. MARC Cleary charged me selling price estimate 28.5k before tax.They really ripped you off. Also was told this not included two month remaining payments. What? My total payoff amount online was only 26k as of today before tax including remaining balance, end up you give me total 28.5k selling price before tax. I have been a Southbay BMW customer for 6 years. Will never recommend anybody come back here.

They have terrible way to explain warranty or any warranty/protection is going to expired. I have a lease protection which expired right before lease returning date, however, they never tell me during the inspection. I also own another BMW car and they have terrible way to explain about warranty coverage. I think they do not want to give you full detail so they can charge you more. I would suggest to either visit other dealership or be extra careful with this dealership.

Very unprofessional and rude. DO NOT work with George. Initially he was polite, but we left very offended and upset. Worst BMW dealership I have ever been to. Save yourself the trip and time and go to another one. We walked out of this dealership baffled and upset. Quite frankly, we have NEVER experienced the sort of service I received from George. The treatment that we received was unbelievable and what was even more baffling was that the manager sitting not even 5 ft away either oblivious or actively ignoring the situation. I had to double-check that I was indeed at a BMW dealership and not some street market. Absolutely horrible experience and horrible attitude.I went in to discuss a lease for a 540i. We sat down with George and I was confused as to why the 540i was almost the same price as leasing a Maserati Ghibli S, the other option I was looking into leasing. I wanted a simple explanation but George was aggressive and frustrated at my questions. instead of walking me through the details, he proceeded to raise his voice, calling me bro, and saying the deal was off. As we were getting up to leave, we asked him if we can hold onto the paper with the lease details, to which he snatched the lease offer from us and yelled, the deal is off! The disrespect and nasty treatment that we received was undeniably uncharacteristic of BMW, or any car dealership at that.

Terrible experience here, I expect to oveepay for service at dealership but this place is ridiculous. We had our battery replaced here and it was still under warranty. The car kept dying and had to be jumped. We also had a seat belt light on and brought here for service.The service advisor Steve Smithson charged my wife $700 just to diagnose these issues. We called around to other BMW dealerships and were quoted $205 for the same diagnosis. I spoke to the service manager Rudy And explained we had purchased the battery for the car from his service department And it was still under Warranty. This made no difference in the pricing and we took our car elsewhere

Marc Cleary was our Sales Portfolio Manager and he was awesome. Very friendly, low key, presented options as in are you sure you dont want to look at the new cars? But when my husband and I made it clear we wanted to buy my car he didnt push at all. He multi-tasked getting the paperwork ready, getting me my rental car quickly (as the car was being serviced/checked and detailed, which took a day) as well as getting us up to financing quickly...he is GO GO GO, lets get this done! I highly recommend Marc if you want someone who cuts to the chase and saves time. Now, the financing process was long and tedious, but there is no way around that unless you are paying cash! As far as our experience with Marc...we highly recommend!Not sure why these haters are dissing Marc...he is super chill and was never condescending at all.Would give 3-4 stars due to the lengthy process with finance. The finance person was way more sales/pushy about warranties (Mark). He was OK, got the paperwork done, but not friendly and upbeat like Marc, he was all business and only energetic when talking us into a warranty, which, when we walked out agreed we should not have purchased; oh and it was miraculous how when we first said no, he was able to instantly cut the price of the warranty by 50%.Giving Marc 5 stars. He was absolutely the friendliest face at this dealership and stuck to exactly what we wanted with no pressure.
