My garage door was 24 years old and just went sideways and stuck in, wouldnt open and wouldnt close. A1 Garage receptionist/ scheduler was right on it from the beginning, had me scheduled in no time. This is our second time using A1 Garage. They serviced our rental property last year and did a great job. This time around we needed service on our primary home. Tech David P. was knowledgeable and professional. I had scheduled an appt for just a tune up but as he was inspecting he noticed our springs and rollers were all original and cheap parts were used when we built our home. He didnt try and sell us anything we didnt need. We upgraded all the recommended parts and were very pleased. A+ work.

Today I had Dave P as my technician. We originally needed someone to come out and just do a full reset on the garage door codes since I think a neighbor accidentally picked up my garage door’s code when I was linking it to my car. First off, he was perfectly on time. He was in the garage working things when I rolled up and by that time he had completed all the work we originally needed quickly and efficiently and explained everything to my wife before I got there. He even got our vehicle homelinks set up on the new codes. After that I asked him if he could do a serviceability check of my doors and he had already done it without me having to ask and was ready with some recommendations on some much needed preventative maintenance. Both springs were original and he could tell they were nearing their end of life and my rollers needed to be replaced because they were an old style that put stress on my motors. He gave me a quote and patiently waited as I contacted my home warranty company to inquire about coverage. Very patiently waited as I was on hold for awhile. He talked to the warranty company rep and got them all the info they needed. Once I got clearance from them he got to work. When he was done the doors sounded like they were operating like new and as he removed parts he explained to me why they needed replaced and showed me so I had a good feeling there was nothing being sold to me I didn’t need. During this whole time we had a great conversation about family, hobbies, cars, and our jobs and how he likes working for A1 and how they treat him good. He was incredibly knowledgeable and professional all the way through, and talked about his pride in doing things right the first time.

My experience with A1 garage and tech Dave P really exceeded expectations for sure. From the booking estimate online all the way to finished product completed and installed was an excellent experience. Its never fun when stuff breaks around the house and its not something you can or prefer not to repair yourself. It can often result in a frustrating saga trying to choose a company, reading reviews and still just hoping you choose the right one.In this case it was a fairly painless process and made getting my garage repaired kinda easy, which I never expect. Dave was friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable about the garage parts and products company offered. There was no hard sell on anything, just plenty of information to make decisions about repair and spending wisely to avoid future problems.Dave was able to complete the work requested that day, which was great! He worked for a few hours in a sweltering hot garage to get everything done. Theres no amount of money that makes that easy or fun at all. So I just appreciate that effort in those conditions. When the job was done, he took the time to thoroughly explain all he had done and the features of a new opener.My original problem was a broken spring. This was all original parts and opener from 2005, so it was time for some upgrade. Chose to get overhaul on everything and a new opener. It all works so much better and way quieter. Dont have to worry about it at all for awhile, just regular maintenance which we should all do on mechanical garage doors. After checking a few companies and searching online about costs for repair, Im satisfied with price I paid for the work. Yes, you probably could find someone to do all that work for cheaper (you always can) but Im not willing to take my chances with my garage door. Anyway, just real happy with whole experience and tech Dave was great!

Id like to write a great review for our tech Cody but due to some issues I have to be honest. Ill start off on a good note & say he was fast at installing garage door all by himself. Towards the end, we had an issue with the gaps underneath door. During this issue, I felt he was a little irritated with me for noticing & wanting it fixed. He then spoke with his boss in his truck with door closed. He came back & his boss had quickly remedied the situation. I then felt door was complete & signed off. (Not knowing there were still some items that Cody LATER called me about stating they were going to fix.) 1) One of the panels had three dents in them, which only upon close examination I then notice. 2) He stated the wrong springs were installed. Cody said he spoke to his boss and they will get everything replaced in 8-10 weeks. So, still waiting for completion and will review once again when job is completed.

Nick called to let me know he was heading over. He was on time for the scheduled appointment. Nick was professional and quick to diagnose the issue. He presented the quote and Upon my approval got to work. Everything he needed was on the truck. An hour later, he was done and the door was repaired. Thank you Sir!!

The storm last night knocked out power to both of my garage door. It turned out to be a breaker that tripped but the doors badly needed servicing since they were shaking and sometimes struggling to open. I called this morning and they were able to send Joseph out within 2 hours. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and did a complete diagnosis of my garage doors which hadn’t been serviced since I bought my house several years ago. He was very thorough and explained everything in detail to me that needed repair or replacement. There was no hard sell or attempt to talk me into buying anything I didn’t need so I felt very comfortable with the work that needed to be done. He and his assistant did an excellent job fixing both doors and the difference was incredible - the doors are much lighter to lift and move up and down much more smoothly. I highly recommend A1 and Joseph for their prompt response and excellent work.

Extremely disappointed in the company. The tech came out and gave me an estimate but was not sure if parts were available. I approved the work and the next time he came out he reported more issues that needed repair or replacement. One set of tracks were initially identified as needing replacement but the tech did not replace them. No credit was reflected on the invoice for the parts and labor of the items not replaced. So far I have four different invoices for the same job. The invoices have duplicate items and labor charged and no credits. I have tried multiple times to contact the company but no one answers the phone. They let you leave a message but I have not talked to anyone alive yet to get the issue resolved. The tech was good enough to fix the safety switches for the door without charging me after I complained about the additional items he charged for every time he came out. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Customer support is non-existent.

Wes and Trevor arrived several hours early after checking to see if it was ok to come early. Wes did an excellent job of explaining why certain parts needed to be replaced, why he would recommend one thing over another and pointing out a couple things that may need to be replaced in the future. Our garage door is 17 years old and has not been maintained. There were a lot of parts and items that needed fixing. I appreciated the initiative that was used in getting the door just right. For example, the technician noticed that the door open sequence caused the door to raise up so far that the pulley ended up hitting the control box. He fixed it so no parts were hitting bad places. And he replaced the light bulbs. It was well worth the money

A1 is kind of expensive but they have consistently demonstrated the best service and reliability in all of Southern AZ. Weve used them several times for repairs at our rental houses. They can always get there within 24 hours, arrive when expected and complete professional, high quality work correctly the first time. Joseph V came out yesterday within a few hours of when I called and provided an outstanding customer service experience. They include warranties, but weve never had to use them. Dont forget to check their website for coupons or specials.

Technician Dave arrived same day and repaired my old door with support struts and new springs and pulleys. Dave had all the parts in his truck as part of any service call - including the 16 ft struts. Very professional and friendly. All costs were clearly explained as we progressed w repairs. He allowed me to watch the work as he did things and came upon worn or damag d parts. My door was very close to being fatally damaged from old age sagging but the repairs should allow many years of use and the springs should now last a lifetime. Well done Dave. This was my first time dealing with A1, I had a hung up garage door that would not close straight and needed to be reset. I got an appointment online, and received a couple of follow up calls prior to confirm the appointment and the issues I was having. Tristan arrived within the timeframe that I was advised and conducted a full inspection of my door and motor, I had also mentioned that for some time my door had been struggling to go up. Tristan had determined that most of my garage door torsion components (drums, cables, and bearings) had gone bad as a result of the improper spring (the old spring was not rated to pull a door as heavy as mine) being installed be the prior company who serviced the garage with the previous owner of my house. As these issues were found, Tristan was thorough to show me the damaged parts so I could see first hand what had gone wrong. After agreeing on the repairs that would be completed, Tristan had the job done in just an hour and now my garage door is balanced once again and running faster, smoother, and quieter than it ever has. Contacted A1 Garage Door and appointment was scheduled for the same day. Service technician arrived 2 hours later. Much earlier then expected. Service provided was exceptional with recommendations for the right parts that needed to be replaced.

A1 Garage Door was truly fantastic. Dave called me before arrival and I explained to him the timeframe I had to take my kids to an scheduled event. He was done in plenty of time!Dave went over everything with me in detail and was just a nice guy who was very professional.
