My experience with u haul today was great. They had a truck ready to rent for a couple hours at a really good rate. Including the 5 bucks worth of gas I put in it cost $33 for 3 hours and 7 miles of travel. Thanks a ton guys.
We use U-haul a lot recently. Moving a business from California to Arizona has been stressful to say the least. The U-haul store on Speedway has been great to work with until this morning. Kevin (last name withheld). Was extremely rude with my wife upon returning the truck. Not only was he not wearing a mask, but he was very aggressive about the returned status of the vehicle. I could give you a list of the state of the vehicle upon pickup but it’s a rental moving truck. It gets used and used. But that’s beside the point. We return all of the rentals in better condition than we received. I didn’t realize that we needed to provide photographic evidence of the condition. Kevin in his role of checking in trucks was quite aggressive and rude with my wife. She came to me in our vehicle to ask me to assist her and was emotionally charge after dealing with Kevin. I proceeded to get out of my car and asked Kevin what the problem was. He started in on me. I am sure that Kevin is a problem. He wanted to strong arm us into paying for cleaning the truck. One green leaf left in it.Let me tell you that the Uhaul guys blow it out with a leaf blower and nothing in the cab is cleaned or sanitized. Footprints left on the window. Dirty dirty dirty. Kevin must have been taking out his frustrations on his customers because he did the same to the customers who returned before us.All of our previous experiences with the other employees has been exceptional.
I have had nothing but a great experience using this location, when I arrived it was extremely hot and Kevin made sure I was able to move in and keep the truck an extra day no hassle after a series of unfortunate events with the original truck I had rented out of state. I have been using the storage unit and a Ubox with no issues at all and Kevin has always provided amazing service always with a smile and friendly demeanor. There has never been any issues for me here, all of the employees have been very accommodating for each time I’ve rented a box truck which has been a few times this year, when they didn’t have the truck I wanted on site Kevin searched for the next closest location and made sure we were on our way in no time. 5 star employees here!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Truck is great. But the so called customer service reps behind the counter are so rude and disrespectful. They talk down to people, they look bored and bothered by questions.Huge line with no communication to people waiting in line. All and all just a horrible representation of how to run a business and treat the people who pay your bills.
They gave me a truck with zero gas and then they try to charge me more when I returned it on empty. I even notified the attendant before and he said just make sure its the same level. When I argued they then decided to charge me an extra day. Very unprofessional and rude
Its totally impossible trying to get a hold of them to confirm my appointment for my truck, they should hire more phone personnel to handle any comments
I have had to call MANY times to find my property after my Father-in-law had it impounded, we had the Uhaul released back to UHaul and they couldn’t give us any information where to retrieve our property, nobody kept any updates on notes or anything. Complete S#*t for service!! We will not be going through this company again. Not very happy. I just want to retrieve my property!!! 😡
I had a reservation at this uhaul for a hitch install. Kevin at the Tucson Speedway location called the night before and cancelled my install due to parts not arriving. He said they would call back the next day to rebook my reservation. No one called. I told him it was urgent to get the install since I have a scheduled trip. I have called the store at least 10 times waiting on hold for at least 20-30 or longer before I give up. I did get a National customer service rep who sent them an email to call me. NO CALL BACK. I still can’t get them on the phone. They still have a deposit of mine and I cannot get them to refund. I found another business in Tucson (Quality Bumper) that got me a hitch and installed it ...great business! How does Uhaul stay in business with customer service like this? If I didn’t have to rent a trailer I would never deal with them again. Very frustrating. Will be interesting to see if they respond to this! Carole Bronston
After reading some of the reviews on this place I thought it was gonna be an absolute disaster. The two guys that I dealt with there we’re both really nice and extremely helpful. Louie Z who installed the trailer took his time and explained everything and even when I didn’t have the adapter, waited next to the trailer for me to go inside and buy it.
I have a good relationship with these people. I move often and buy and haul my own discount furniture. The manager has given me 24 hours a few times. They are significantly better to deal with than Enterprise. They are crowded, a long line occasionally but they are quick and thorough.
Awful experience at this location. Over charged me. Unprofessional. Will not be returning here.

Might be ok but no one will answer the phone. Guess I’ll book online. Second day of this. Kind of bugs me that they can’t take two seconds to pick up the phone.Update to my review. 7 months later, still can’t get through on the phone. Beyond frustrating. Can’t really understand how businesses run this way. I’ll rent from Budget this time instead.

I just cant believe how irresponsible this location is. Ive moved across country with my family 4 times and had many in-town moves and have never had such a negative experience.I had made a reservation a week early for a 17 truck and an appliance dolly.On the day I came to pick it up, it turns out they had already rented out all the appliance dollies to other customers. The home I was moving from is an upstairs unit, so not having that dolly is really a huge inconvenience right from the start.The representative offers to provide me a utility dolly, free of charge, which I agree to, and we continue with the transaction. I let him know that I wanted to add another driver to the insurance I was purchasing for the U haul, reminded him at least 3 times while he was going through the information and transaction, and after he says were finished and I can go retrieve the truck, I ask him again if hes added the driver. He says, Oh, its okay, I dont want to add another one because then Ill have to go through all the information again. Are you kidding me!? Thats a huge liability! I try to reiterate how important it is, and he tries to usher me out of line because he had other customers. I cant believe just how irresponsible that is.After that, I go outside and look around. No one comes to assist. I try to approach employees, and they go the opposite direction. Okay, which one is my truck, and how am I supposed to know without any direction? I go back in and ask, and he tells me its the one sitting in front... The one that has been turned on, guzzling away at gas that Im supposed to be responsible for for the last hour. Im late at this point because of just how slow the service was, so I just decide to try to take it.The representative also said that they could turn the U-Haul around for us so that it would be easier to take out of the lot. I ask about that, but he just points behind him and says, Theres an exit there, you can take it there. Thats fine and all, but you and told me, as your customer, that you would provide that service, and now youre just telling me to do it? Fine, whatever, Im still late, so we go for it, but check the back of the truck for the dolly I was promised. No dolly. I go back in AGAIN and ask for the dolly I was promised, one of the representatives gives a huff and throws one in the back, unsecured, and Im off.Dropping it off, I brought it in exactly where I had picked it up, got out of the truck and was greeting by a representative. He asked me if I was returning it, which I replied yes to, and he told me that I had to go out of the lot and back into the lot in the proper return area. I let him know that I had picked up the truck from this spot, so they could go ahead and cart it from there, he gives me a blank look, and says, Uh... Weve got signs. If you did it the right way, you would have seen the signs and went into the return area, like the sign says. Excuse me, you have two entrances, and youre going to be that rude already? Im completely spent at this point after moving, so I just hop back into the truck and drive it to the proper return area to avoid further rudeness from this rep.They go through the bills, how much I owe for mileage, check the truck and say Im good. Everything is agreed to, they have the keys, and Im finally gone and free from this horrible transaction... until I get home and see an email in my inbox saying that I was charged for the utility dolly. $7 isnt that much, but with such poor service, I wasnt going to let it slide, and called them. After being on hold for 30 minutes, I finally got through to a representative, who told me that they would issue a refund within 1-3 days. Its been 5 days now, and I havent received an email confirmation, and the charge in my card still has the full amount, plus the charge of the dolly.DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION, UNLESS YOU HAVE TO. Theyre rude, and they lie to customers. I will not be back.
Ive moved a lot of times in my life, and Ive used all types of services, and seen all types of cities across the United States. This has to be one of the best U-Haul facilities in the nation. Im not kidding. Theyre super-friendly, fully staffed, and always willing to help you out when you need something. Ive used their trucks for in-city moving, as well as returning a truck that I brought across the country. Each time I deal with them, theyve got their processes down perfectly, and all the people working there are trained very well on customer experience. If I was U-Haul, Id find out what this location is doing, and repeat it in other stores.
Huge hassle renting from here, not because of the people at this location but because of the app. They have you come out to the location, then request tons of info for you before you can take the vehicle so you’re left standing in the parking lot for 30 minutes texting a rep trying to get the friggin keys. Because of this delay, I was 5 minutes past the time of return and now they’re charging me 20$ for the late return. I have to wait till morning then beg the people at this location to refund me. It was an overall super stressful experience. I’ll come back and add a star if they refund the 20$, but either way I will never make the mistake of renting a uhaul again.
The retail experience is not what I am used to as an old man. These young people today have no basic respect and it does affect the experience. Truck was readily available, clean and functional. Tech named Mike was great, but counter staff was a little slick and smart mouth to go back again. Ill drive across town.
The people working here are incredibly helpful. One of the supervisors, Mike, truly showed me what great customer service is. Id recommend this place to anyone renting a moving truck and their supplies are reasonably priced. A one stop shop for your moving needs!
U-haul uses this weird system where they have this national call center which schedules all the reservations with only the information in their online system, which is just prone to so many communication problems.I made a reservation weeks in advance. Came there on the appointed day (in a taxi), and they didnt have my truck. The guy was like, well we had two trucks yesterday, I guess Ill have to report them stolen. Really? Two trucks stolen overnight with no evidence of a break-in? Well, seems extremely unlikely to me but whatever. They set me up for a reservation for the next day at 11. I had to take a taxi back. I want to get on the road earlier the next day, so I call the hotline at 8 and ask if they have any trucks yet at the same location. The lady says yes and sets me up with a reservation. I go back at 8:30. Theyre like, oh... thats mislabeled in the system, sorry but we cant rent that one out. Youre kidding me! I finally got a truck in the end, and they at least gave me a significant discount, but still, a totally embarrassing display by Uhaul.
Installed a defective part for the trailer hitch wiring; didnt work the first time I hooked up a trailer. They refused to replace it unless I paid for a complete new installation. Terrible business ethics.
I have used uhaul in Chicago several times and never had an issue. But my first time here in Tucson and Im charged for gas I didnt use the truck wouldnt start which made us late for drop off. The roadside assistance had to come and put a new battery in because the old battery was so corroded so in total to move 6 minutes from my old apartment cost me 190 dollars. My next move I will rather carry the stuff strapped to my back then utilize this company EVER AGAIN!!!!!
If there were less than one star Id give that. I rented a uhaul pick up 4days cost me $315 which is fine Ill take that but they also put $129 hold on my account that I never got back they also charged $287 said that it was the wrong amount and thats why they also charged $315 so a total now of $731 and Im still waiting for them to refund the $287 and $129 charges been on the phone with there hq and my bank all week and nothing.... I will be contacting a lawyer
5 Stars earned! The staff and whole experience were great! I would suggest stopping by here for a quote. I would come back and rent from here again.
Staff is nice but I booked online and the reservation was confirmed but when i showed up they told me I couldnt have the truck for the time I booked it for because there was an overlapping reservation. No call to notify me. They claim the online booking isnt always reflective of what is available.

Always have availability. Someone is always there to help you. Great location. Guys are friendly there. Me and my husband never have a issue at this location.
I was waiting for over 20 minutes while the customer in front of my was being helped. You’d think that they would have more than one person to get customers what they need.
Weve used this uhaul three times for trailer rentals and every time the staff have been very helpful and the whole process quick and easy.
Owner was very rude and didnt seem to care that I was there at all. After booking my reservation it was changed to a different pick-up location the day before my reservation. Then I rebooked for the correct location and was given a smaller truck and charged for the next size up. Very poor service and will not be returning...
Fantastic place for all your moving and storage needs. The selection of boxes and other packing material is impressive. Staff members are helpful and offer packing advice.
They have it all, indoor storage,box truck,truck, trailer and van rentals. A well stocked sales room with all your moving supplies. Along with a professional, helpful staff, I would recommend to anyone.
Usability of the car hauler I used was fantastic. The kid at the front counter was basically useless wouldnt engage in any conversation. Very short and never said please or thank you. He was very slow at making our transaction. He was very unprofessional when tring to hook up the car hauler to my truck, while being on and off his phone In the process. Maybe it was just my experience. Maybe there are better employees just got one on a bad day. Hope this review helps others.
Well stocked store and friendly staff. Although credit/debit cards are accepted, there is some kind of issue with Pay Cards and their system. One has to go to a store (i.e., grocery, drug or other) that will accept this kind of card and get cash back to pay at U-Haul.
Everything was there as planned. Good price on boxes! Staff member was not the brightest, said my card was denied when it actually wasnt swiped correctly. This wasted my time with a call to the bank. But truck is clean and all as promised.
I us this facilities for all my moving and they are good staff and be perfect for me ..... give them a try...I look at price at other moving trucks and there the cheapest.

I had a problem with the factory electrical plug on my hitch, so I went to U-Haul on Speedway for help. It was a Sunday, so I didnt expect much, but it turned out they had a technician there. He tested my harness, and instead of selling me a new one, found a blown fuse. Fixed it for free!I was needing a brake controller, so he walked me through the different choices, sold me the parts I needed (they were the same price as Walmart), and even found and pointed out where to plug the harness into the truck. Took me all of 10 minutes to install it at home.These guys are extremely helpful, and the price is just as good or better than Camping World or Walmart on what I needed. Save me huge amounts of time and did it with a smile.
I have rented from this location twice in the last three years. The staff here are super helpful, and were super patient with my indecisiveness. They were a pleasure to work with.

Same as most uhauls, no one knows anything,you get bounced person to person this exact location was not as bad as when you call the main number but I will NEVER use a u box to move ever again!

How can it possibly be this terrible? Owner is rude and literally grunts orders at you. I tried to do online check-in so I wouldnt have to deal with him, but the last two times the truck has been blocked in and had to wait anyway. Trucks always work and are clean. Just the customer service is almost comically terrible.
The employees at this location dont have a clue as to what they are doing. I will never go back or use that location again ever again. And trust me when i say they just lost out.

I visited to get a quote upon leaving my car bottomed out on their horribly paved driveway entering speedway leaving theur property this cost me over 400 bux to fix as it broke my tranny mounts and snapped the head stud off my exhaust port, videos on youtube my car is stock aircooled vw beetle no lowering etc do not visit here less you want a costly repair bill as they do not maintain their drive!!!
I took my truck here to get a 7 round trailer wiring installed. Went to pick up my truck and it wouldnt start. It took Uhaul 2 days to have my truck towed to the mechanic.
Went to uhaul on pima and columbus. They did not have what I needed and the employee called the speedway and Craycroft location. They told us they had multiple in stock. I went to speedway location and saw two in the parking lot. Was told they had 0 due to them being stolen. Advised I was told they had multiple. Guy at counter didnt go look or anything just tried to get me to rent a more expensive trailer. Extremely displeased will never go to uhaul again.
Fraudulent. They will charge you for stuff you did not use & refuse a refund. Use Penske.

Awful! They didnt have the truck size we reserved with a credit card. They didnt give us the $50.00 credit they promised. They changed the wrong amount, much more than we had agreed to. And they charged the wrong credit card. They basically did everything wrong.
U-Haul should be ashamed to have their name associated with this location. Horrible customer service, beyond rude employees. I saw more people walking out due to terrible service than staying. U-Haul listen up: fire all these people and restaff this location pronto!
Craycroft and Speedway location.Horrible service. Was told we had the trailer we wanted at this place. Didnt have it even though they had called and confirmed it the day before. Didnt try to find another one for us. Will never go there again.
Wanted to get some propane for my work truck, rang the bell, nobody came, walked inside and asked if I could get some propane, said be right there.There was 1 guy walking around with his face in his phone, looked right at me, walked on by.Very poor customer service.Wont be back anytime soon!
I made an online reservation for a 24/7 pick up of a truck at 5am. The truck was not set up and I was not able to get a truck until 7am. I only had my movers from 6am-8am. They spent the first hour loading my things into the street and waiting on the truck. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
Well all I go there for is propane gas, dont know much else. Except make sure your tank is updated or you will go home empty and pissed.
I went to this location this morning and got the trailer, my trip was then canceled do to circumstances I couldn’t control. I took the Uhaul back and they let me reschedule and didn’t charge me! So I didn’t lose any money!
