I brought Audi A4 2009 to Purrfect Auto due to Engine Light error.I showed Russell the report I generated via an OBDII device. Russell made it clear that based on the report I showed him, the cost might reach $3K.In two working days, Russell called me to give me the good news.The car was in perfect condition and he just did a basic cleaning and maintenance, and no more Engine Check error light whatsoever.Had Russell lied and asked for a couple of thousands for fixing the car, I would have believed him and I have paid the fake cost. The car came from outside CA I needed to do a SMOG check transfer it to my name.However, in the era of deception, honest people like Russell still exist.On top of his honestly, Russell is a very kind human being. His sense of humor is second to none.

Good prices, honest service

I wish I could give these guys a negative star. Went there few month ago to fix a gear, change oil and new battery on my car. They charged me for everything and the labor. However new battery (the battery for my car:very expensive) they never put a new battery. Not only that, they also broke my center console. I trusted you guys as a professional to do a proper job! What if someone come to change their old brakes and you guy never replace it!? Do you see the problem here? Your mistake could cost someone their life. Mine is just a battery but this could happen to a worser situation. Spoke to the manager but it is taking him a months to get back to me about this! Why!? I dont get it. How is this not a straight forward answer!? (Edited: 3 months or so passed: forget about an apology, they told me we will not refund your money) Im very disappointed. Very dishonest people. Dont trust these guys. And take your business somewhere else. These guys definitely not worth it.

Got oil change in a little over an hour. They were quick and friendly. I had stopped by the next door Midas place who said it would be all day long for the service. I walked next door to Purrfect and they took me in immediately. They mentioned to me about the oil pan drain plug being stripped and about the possibility of having to replace it all (a big job) if they couldnt get it out. Made me nervous that they were trying to pull one over on me as Id never been there before. But they got it out and replaced the drain plug for free. I recommend this place. They are honest! Thank you!

9/28/2020I have been going to this place for several years now and must say they are honest and knowledgeable. I recently went to them due to AC not working and David, the owner calls me saying nothing is wrong with your AC. I refused to except that answer and asked David to double triple check which he said he will. After several calls and David telling me nothing is wrong with my AC, I finally accepted what he told me after coming down to pickup the vehicle and David showed me it was a simple switch in the car that now AC working perfectly. I must say I felt so bad not believing that nothing was wrong. I could of been taken advantage of very easily but David did not do that. If you want honest auto repair service then I highly recommend this place. Thank you David for taking such good care of my vehicle.

Just a typical Purrfect Auto shop. These guys are nothing but crooks. Dont fall for the cheap services coupons. Auto repair shops that use coupons are bottom tier shops.David Henderson is an automotive dummy. Hes an investor; not an automotive service expert.

I took my car to Purrfect Auto for a tune up, spark plug replacement, and a brake bulb replacement. After I picked up the vehicle, the brake light alert on the dash was still on and the brake bulb stayed on all the time. I returned to the shop immediately after I picked up the vehicle. They told me to bring my car back.I went back the next business day, and they wanted to charge me to diagnose the electrical problem. I told them that the problem was created by their actions, repairs and workmanship. But, they insisted they needed to get paid for their time. They had my car there and looked at it when they replaced the bulb, so I dont understand why I should be charged again. The problem didnt exist when I took my car in, so I didnt agree to pay for diagnosing it again.I filed a complaint with BCA against them. They responded that they had performed the task asked of them and that there might have been an issue with the electrical system or the light housing that is causing the bulbs to burn out. They also lied that they had suggested to replace the bulb for free again, and they mentioned that I had misunderstood what they had said. I was never offered to have any bulbs replaced again free of charge or to determine if there was an electrical problem. If they had offered that, I would have taken the offer and would not have put a complaint in.In the meantime, I took the car to another mechanic who told me that the wrong type of bulb was installed by Purrfect Auto. The new shop also found that the connector to the light assembly had gotten broken in the first place! The new shop replaced those for free! This is very poor and sloppy workmanship on Purrfect Autos part. I will never go back to them. Caveat Emptor.

Non of the employee at the auto service wore mask in this critical time. Other auto shops wore masks.I dont think any of the customers would be happy about that. Price was overrated for a simple task.

Took my car to Midas right next door to Purrfect Auto Care because it wouldnt go in to gear. The shop manager at Midas refused to work on my car saying its too hard of a job since they have to work on a part underneath the steering wheel. I was basically told the same thing at another shop next door called Irvine Auto Care. Eventually Took it next door to Purrfect Auto Care and they had the car ready the next day. They were honest and charged me a fair price for a job that Midas and Irvine Auto Care refused without even really looking at anything or listening to the issue. Purrfect Auto Care was professional, honest, fair and quick. They are five star in my book.

Have been brought my car for oil change to Purrfect Auto for sometimes now. Recently had my car for oil change and 60 points inspection for reasonable price. Then had to replace rear brake and the job was performed on time. My car runs smooth now. Thank you for a good service.

Went there for an oil change today. Made an appointment last week but needed to push it back a couple hours due to some work issues. Texted my situation two days before my appointment and the owner accommodated me! When I finally went in, Russell provided stellar customer service and had my car done in no time! These guys are professional and put your mind at ease leaving your car with them, will definitely go back!

Generally very good service. Each visit is individualized and the front desk people are very informative and helpful in helping guests understand what is happening with their vehicle. The service is also generally very timely but is subject to first come first serve unless you make a prior arrangement.

I was there before 9 am on Saturday morning November 17 and reception told me that service needed 2-3 hours, after 2 hours and half he told minimum 3 hours. To many cars came and they fixed them. I was waiting there for long time and after 2:40 they didnt start it yet. If you guys go there, make sure what they promise. At 12:35 pm they told me they can not do part of service that they promised me.0 star for timing and 0 star for costumer service.

Fast, Honest, Great ServiceI started taking my car to Purrfect Auto 6 months ago and have nothing but great things to say about them. They are such a breath of fresh air compared to the dealership service departments. They are accommodating with fast turnarounds, fair in their pricing and dont suddenly find mysterious problems that didnt seem to be there when the car was brought in. Just goes to show you how a business can go down.I made appointment in good faith, dropped my car off the night before with assurance that mine would be first the next morning.I called at 10;30 am the next day and was told that the work had not yet begun. The reason sited for no work performed was a call that was supposed made to me, with a message left.That was a bold faced lie. No call was made, no message was left. When the owner finally called ;me and left a message, there was no glitch.There were other self-serving, manipulative false statements that were made to me.I cannot and will not have dealings with people who are not honorable.I picked my car up, and took it else where the next day. My entire morning and part of that afternoon were utterly wasted. And, of course, the time the following day too.No price is cheap enough, no job is good enough, to be subjected to people who do not prioritize integrity.It is sad to me that Jim is no longer running the place. I knew that I could always trust him, for years.I will never take any of my cars there again.

Its just the I havent received my card yet but my app has all the info needed. They denied it because they only want to swipe the card instead of looking at my AAA app with my membership Id. My appointment for several things car related was handled in a timely and professional manner Saturday 27 June.~Jim, Dave, and their employees made me feel as though my needs were their ultimate goal and that is rare these days. They also made certain I got all the monthly discounts that applied -- including a AAA discount --and, no one tried to up-sell me, which I greatly appreciate. I will be returning, most assuredly.

They are Auto Club approved, which is how I found them. Prices are great. They do smog testing too and got me out in 15 minutes. Also open for half a day on Saturday, I think Highly recommend!

Updating my review. I trusted them and they tried to take advantage of me. Quoted THOUSANDS for a repair. Because it was so much, I took the car to the dealership for a second opinion. The car dealership said the car was fine, just need to replace my wheel. No extensive damage at all.Will never trust purrfect auto again. Will never go back

Had my brakes changed here for my 2007 Honda Accord. The brakes are still good. It’s been over 5 years!!! Amazing!!

I wont go anywhere else. Always professional and Ive often asked shouldnt I have this done? and their response is often you dont need it quite yet. Their preventative service expertise has kept my 16 year old car running perfectly. As an older single woman, the last thing I want is a breakdown. They remind me when its time for oil changes, tire rotations, and system checks but only when it really IS time. I recommend Purrfect Auto to everyone I know.

Maybe it is my car, but I expect mechanics to know what they are doing. The mechanic told me that the issues were fixed, I go there to pick up the car and they tell me new problems have come up? I would give them a negative score.

DO NOT GET YOUR SMOG CHECK HERE! Their smog machine is always broken! i did a smog check and my car did not pass because my computer needs to reset. I kept calling back to redo the smog and they keep telling me the machine is broken. It seems they are giving me the run around so they dont give me my FREE RE-TEST. I was doing research on this company and they have been previously in trouble with the state of California. I will do more research and post an entire article about this company in the OC register. I ended up going to another place to get my smog done and yes i ended up paying again but it was worth it!

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years, and can be horrible at remember to take care of my car. The guys at Purrfect are always honest and take care of me. I never feel screwed, and they always try to help me avoid unnecessary work when possible.

I needed new brakes all around. When I got home I discovered a problem on one corner. I called them and they came and took the car back to the shop, then replaced the caliper at no charge to me. Im thankful for the great service.

DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP, especially for smog check repair unless you have thousands bucks to put there. I had a very bad experience with this shop, for smog check repair, they charge $189 for upfront checkup, including smog test fee after repair, which they never did on my car. At first they asked more than $2000 for repair. After negotiation on the necessary repair, finally they promise to fix and pass the test if I pay $835 for everything. However next day they changed their mind and wanted to charge me $1300. When I tell them that I can not afford this amount, they refused to do any repair work. The manager told me, I do not want to make money on $300 repair.

Called in a day prior to being able to go in for a simple exhaust swap, a job I couldve easily done myself but unfortunately I dont have my brother in laws jacks at my disposal anymore. Spoke with Juan he put me on hold quoted me $50 it is a bolt on exhaust no welding no extra work just go under the car 6 our so 14mm bolts and 2 rubber hangers is all it uses. I drop the car off and skateboard to Starbucks notice I have a missed call. Juan said they unboxed it and the lowest they could do it for was now $200... Like I said it is just bolt on I already have the same exhaust on my car currently just blew a weld and need to replace it, I put it on myself to have him say it was a minimum of 2 hours work when I did it before at my apartment in my parking spot in about 30-45 minutes is insane. If I wasnt aware of how easy it was I couldve been fooled and thought it was a decent price.Do your homework before you take your car to them something tells me the pricing here is screwy.Story ends with me picking up the car and figuring out a new solution for my issue.

HelloI went to Purrfect Auto to change my 2010 prius oil and i brought the oil with me and i asked to change the filters as wellMy experience on that place was as below:1) first the receptionist with a blond hair was very disrespectful with me and he was talking down to me,my car was parked outside the garage off of the (street) and he kept it outside for more than two hours with an open windows and i told him two times either you park it or i will park it by my self because i don’t want to be towed and he didn’t even care about that or pay me an attention, he was treating everybody in a very disrespectful way and i think that’s not the way that you should treat your customers2) he gave me a wrong informations about my car that the filter cover installed in a wrong way before, and we have to break it and change it for you and that will cost you $80 !!! I went to another place and they changed the filter for me for $7 (without any problems) and they told me that the guy who was trying to open it for you broke the filter cover but thankfully it wasn’t leaking.I don’t recomment this place for anyone, and i (hope) that the owner will do some changes on his business that will make him make more money fairly and give his business more time because that’s not gunna work with him

I had an excellent experience with Purrfect Auto in Tustin. I am new to SoCal and was looking for a locally-owned auto shop with good reviews, preferably affiliated with AAA and the Better Business Bureau. Purrfect Auto checked all those boxes.I made an appointment two days ahead and they got me in on time, which was nice. I had budgeted two hours for my service, which was a AAA Road Trip Ready Package, including a full-synthetic oil change, tire rotation, fluid top-off and standard vehicle inspection. It took exactly one hour and I was out the door. Pretty good deal, too. About $72 for that service, which is totally fair.The waiting area was okay. If it was busy I would have maybe walked elsewhere, but their front desk was manned by a friendly man who was a pleasure to speak with. They also have free wifi, so I streamed Netflix while I waited. The man who completed my service was friendly too and seemed to do a really good job. They recommended only one additional maintenance, which was a new air filter. My car is two years old, so I am sure thats true. I declined as I can do that myself, but they did not recommend services that I did not need, which is nice because I have been to auto shops who do that for extra money. I believe they are trustworthy.Overall I am very happy with my experience and will continue to use Purrfect Auto. I highly recommend them!

The owner is polite and the prices are available but l had a trouble last visit, some worker dont want to deal my car’s problem properly and l asked second time what should l do this problem and than they told me directly price for this one . At this time, David wasnt there.If he was there,l believe that he is interested.

Wife took her Lexus here for a full inspection based on a coupon from AAA. They called her and said her front axleshaft CV boot was leaking grease and needed replacing. Only 45k miles on car. She gave her OK. I went with her to pick up the car and asked to see the axle. No torn boots, just some slight seepage from under the clamp on the inboard side. I told them there was no reason to replace the axleshaft and they didnt put up much of an arguement. I said that I wanted them to no charge the replacement. They said the best they would do is knock $150 of the total. Paid and left. Showed the axle shaft around to mechanics who agreed with me.

Called on a Sat. Morning after getting quote of 70 to 90 dollars from Jiffy Lube, Oil Can Henrys, etc, for an oil change, lube and filter for my 2012 Chevy Avalanche. The manager says to come down in an hour and hell have out in an hour for 25 dollars with 6 quarts of synthetic oil, etc.I get there when he said, and he had me out when he said...And guess what?The Bill was $22.93...Guess where im going in the future.Plus they do othe service like tires,and alignment too which i need.They are a 5 star business and by the way they have about 10+ bays...And they are polite and professional.They are a corporation but independently owned and operated.Good luck everyone...Thanks PURRFECT AUTO...!!!BILL

This is a good shop with some experienced people behind the counter and under the hood. Been here a couple times nad they always get it right.

Went on a Saturday morning for a SMOG test.....got me in and out in 45 min. Seem like pretty good guys, friendly and fair.

I went their 2 times and the peopl their were very friendly and helpfull and in the second time i wanted to buy a car so i needed to inspect it and they did with telling me and explaining the small details about that car so i felt confident to buy the car and in the end the owner said i will not charge u and i am realy thankfull for him

Decided to go to this place after Jiffy Lube screwed up my oil change. They not only fixed it, but they found a couple of other things that werent done properly (some kind of tie that needs to go on a hose and such). Fixed these minor things free of charge and the whole thing took less than an hour!
