I love coming to this location. Overall its the best location compared to others in the area. First time EVER in my life I had my hair done at a salon. I had the best experience. Esmeralda was amazing. I absolutely love my hair! The whole staff was so fun & nice. I will definitely be booking more appointments with her. Highly recommend!!!
I have noticed the lack of customer service here has gotten worse. The girl that was supposedly going to assit me to find a specific foundation did not bother to check if the foundation I had asked for was in stock . The other staff member a while back had helped me and checked drawers for it. They also keep insisting to by products you dont necessairly need and its pretty annoying makes you just rather leave the place instead of shopping in peace.
Worst customer service ever experienced at Ulta. Got to the store at 5:58 to return a few things and realized that there’s a long line at checkout so asked if I could go re-park my car, cuhs it’s literally less than 10 feet away. Her response was “I can’t be liable for that and will lock the door at 6” verbatim. she basically said you can go if you want but I will not let you in if you didn’t park and come back in 1 minute. I only asked because there was like 8 people waiting to check out in front of me. I wasn’t asking her to “break the rules” I made it into the store before closing. I don’t get this inflexibility when I made it to the store and wasn’t even asking to be let in after 🤷🏻♀️

Just did curbside pickup at this location. What a joke! The employees wouldn’t answer the phone even though they were standing right next to the phone and when another employee walked over from across the store to answer it they let me know that there is no customer contact and I had to be inside my car and they needed to check my id from inside the vehicle. When I pulled my car up to the front door I had to call again and no one wanted to answer the phone even though they were standing right next to it and had just hung up with me. The girl, Jessica, finally answers and came out and walked right up to my window to check the id and came just as close to me as she would have if I had picked it up in person. Will not be supporting Ulta anymore after this pickup. The emails say curbside pick up is hassle free when that is definitely not the case at this location because no one seems to want to work. They should have just stayed closed like the other locations if they didn’t want to work and have to see customers. After reading other reviews about this location it seems they have had customer service issues for a long time. Been a loyal customer since 2005 and that ended today.
This Ulta has the best customer service! The girls are all really friendly. I was trying to find a lip plumper that was clear, one of the girls recommended the brand two face! Im sooo happy with her recommendation! It works amazing, was exactly what I was looking for and fit within my price budget.
I didn’t want to leave a bad review but the horrible customer service experience I had here has been bothering me all morning. I went in to buy a headband. At the register a manager was training a new employee. The trainee rang me up and asked if I wanted to join their rewards program. I said no. The manager gave me a whole sales pitch about it and I let her finish but I said no thanks maybe next time, just trying to be polite.Here’s where it got weird. The manager kept badgering me over and over and over again to give her my phone number. No joke like 20 times. She wouldn’t let it go and kept saying “Just give me your number,” and implying that she wouldn’t finish the sale until I did. I kept saying no because at that point it was just rude. I was uncomfortable, the trainee was clearly uncomfortable. I finally said I could just get the headband at Target and that’s when she walked away and let the trainee finish checking out, but this was after almost five minutes of pressuring me.I don’t know who taught that manager that she should try to bully people into signing up for rewards, but it had the opposite effect of whatever she was trying to do. I’m going to a different Ulta to return the headband because it’s not cute enough to keep me from feeling gross for giving them money after this interaction.
I like makeup, you like makeup. There is a lot of makeup to be had here. Also other things like brushes and hair dryers. I think they also hold classes sometimes, but I dont go to those because Im shy. Its like dont look at me fail to make myself as beautiful as you. Or Oh girl you look amazing and I wish my boyfriend would look at me the way yours looks at you! Le sigh
Good place to shop for cosmetics. Benefit brow bar was great. Esmeralda gives great service and is super fast! The displays of makeup could be more clean and sanitized. There is a bit of dust on most displays that are not name brand but the service quality was still great.
They carry pretty much everything one could want as far as this category goes. full lines of Clinique and Paul Mitchel and matrix products to name a few. price isnt great since this is all they deal in but wasnt horrible either

Store was relatively clean and stocked with products but absolutely lacked associates on the floor or behind registers. There were about 10-12 people on line, and only one lady on register (poor girl). Also, purchased the incorrect color foundation, came back for an even exchange, and was charged more since it was no longer on sale, as opposed to an even exchange on the same product.

I was visiting the area and needed a couple of things and found this Ulta. Parking was easy and it was easy to find. The complex it’s in is nice and looks very new. Selection was typical Ulta products.

I love this store due to the multitude of products and choices. The one think that jerks my chain is that they send out the ads with freebies with purchase of X products, but when you go to the store, they never have the freebie product and substitute something else that I dont want. The girl who helped me said that corporate does this all the time and never sends them the freebie products that are advertised.
Absolutely not surprised by all the rude staff comments. Came in earlier today to buy $300 worth of make up, while shopping everyone was rude. Brought my son back to buy a gift and the same staff was even ruder. Can NOT wait to return all the items we purchased and NEVER shop here again, no wonder so many avoid this store at all cost.
Customer service is always decent in here. Most of the time, its only the skin people asking me if I need help, the make up reps always just seem to kind of do their thing. Also think its a little overpriced. But I love some of the taste products that you can only get here, so Ill keep coming back.

Horrible team leadership! One sweet girl at the register while five customers waiting in line on a Sunday and two other girls walked up TWICE and did not help her out! This is a reflection on management. Management needs to lead her team correctly and prioritize- customer service comes first! Sephora never operates like this- people are in and out with a crew of checkers, therefore Im taking my business there going forward. Emailed corporate about this experience.

I tho I can do curbside choice when I order this item. Try to call the store several times but no answer. So, I came to the store, and exactly what I was thinking. They were short of staff. But they service me right away.

I love this ulta! The benefit brow bar is my go to place for eyebrows. Ive never had a bad session. The ladies are super helpful and always around if you need them. Theyre never judgmental and are super helpful. Even though Im no make up guru, I leave feeling informed and secure in my choices because they always help me figure out exactly what to buy for my skill level and how to use it comfortably. Ive gone from raccoon eyeliner and mascara (my teenage years lol) to someone who can comfortably fill in my own eyebrows, use concealer, foundation, false lashes, lip scrubs, liners and lipstick, as well as the occasional eye shadow(still working on that one), and its all through years of trying out different stuff at ulta. Its great. No matter what skill level you are they can help you.

I’m so sad that the quality of customer service in this store has plummeted. I used to be a loyal customer and would go out of my way to go this Ulta, but now the employees seem like they’re bothered that you have to interrupt their conversations to ask a question. Most of them have attitudes and talk to you as little as possible. I’ve had a subpar experience the past 5 times. Hope they can get back to the top again soon!
Lines long, once product I purchased was expired.. they did refund me but it was not a fun experience for my face. Ill keep trying and see if I enjoy the new year here :)

Dare I say it?! Ulta is quickly becoming my favorite makeup store... and that’s saying something from a prior VIB Rouge at Sephora for over 3 years! There’s really so much to offer in this store and they even have a small salon in the back if you’d like to get your hair cut and done and even some eyebrow threading services. I’ve yet to try it but quite honestly it’s great to have these insides beauty store so you can pick up a wide selection of products with the price you want to pay instead of being stuck with the specific products you can only find at that particular salon. They also do site to store pickup and if it doesn’t work then they’ll give you a free shipping coupon code!

This ULTA is disorganized and sales associates are useless for the most part.I came to purchase a perfume as a gift to my mom and had the hardest time finding any perfume tester strips. They were all gone from shelves. When I pointed it out to the sales associate, she just started looking around with me and found a few in a mens cologne section. Instead of bringing some out the back, she figured Id be ok with a few strips.Also, they often have cosmetic displays understocked and looking messy. No one cares to do a good job here. At least not from my experience.When you have a question, it is not easy to find someone to help. Most stores have their associates ask the customers if they need any help. Apparently not here.If this wasnt the closest ULTA to my home, I would never be back to this location.

Today was maybe my fourth time going to this location, I live closer to the one in the Marketplace but randomly when in the area, I will stop by this one at the District. In all honestly my previous experiences werent so great, once the cashier was kinda rude, annoyed my gift card wasnt scanning. Another time I had an exchange and it appeared to be the supervisor who was assisting me, she was alone, long line customers were complaining about her being the only cashier and was visibly frustrated which made her come off short and again annoyed just like my prior experience. Ive worked in customer service for 17 yrs so Im critical for that reason. However, I never write reviews unless the experience is exceptional or horrible.Today, I went in quickly as I left the bank for something specific, in passing I thought Id ask the young lady at the MAC counter a quick question. It literally turned out to be the BEST interaction I have ever had an any Ulta or even MAC store. I believe her name was Vanessa, (I was in around 11) she was so sweet, welcoming and I felt comfortable to share I have Vitiligo which, in short causes skin pigmentation (white blotches). My question was in regards to that. The many brands Ive tried to help conceal my condition dermabrand, shape tape, Pür, and which products Ive used with MAC. She tried a couple different concealers, asked lots of questions as well that were helpful and was extremely patient throughout. We exchanged names and I thanked her at the end. I was so appreciative of all she did I had to hug her! Im sensitive about my skin condition so its always a touchy subject but she was so sweet and eager to help! I have never received the level of service/care in a 10 minute interaction as I did today with Vanessa. Thank you!!!
I almost feel Compelled to leave this review thats how satisfied I am with the service at Ulta Tustin today!I moved to OC a couple years ago and have been trying to find a good hairstylist and today I found one!Veronica is amazing I went in after work to get a very basic haircut all I told her was I wanted a trim, to keep the length, and my side bangs, but wanted it to look stylish not flat. Its very very rare for me to fall asleep while someone does my hair because Im curious of how its starting to look, but Veronica has that touch. I felt I was in good hands. As I snapped out of my little nap I looked up at the mirror and my hair looked Amazing!!! Its so rare for me to like 1. The hair style they choose and 2. The length and fullness of my bangs. OMG! She nailed all of thee above. Im so so pleased and will be returning most definitely for future services provided by Veronica shes hands down that Amazing!Thank you Veronica for making my night!

I love the makeup selection at Ulta, but the experience of shopping here is not great. All of the staff that I encounter are really rude and not helpful. Whenever I see one in store and try to go near them to ask a question they are either talking with each other and ignore me or run away in the other direction. They seem so judgemental too. Sephora is a better experience so Ill stick to shopping there and Target for drug store make-up. Ulta, plz give us a better customer service experience!

I read down the reviews to see if anyone else had experienced something similar to myself. Didnt have to look far. I made the mistake of walking in right before a Whole Foods run, when I looked a little frazzled and had my tattoo sleeves on display. The rudeness of the sales associates at this store was astounding. I am usually the kind of person who gives a lot of leeway before contacting management, because I know people have bad days. There was zero excuse for the way I was treated here, and I called Ulta three times before realizing that the management was never going to return my call. They apparently dont mind their Platinum/Diamond members being run out of the store based on appearances. Not only will I never shop at this store again, I am done with Ulta altogether.

Bad customer service I was genuinely trying to buy a ..good conditioner hair product and Ive never been in here before thought Ill try. The girls dont know anything. They didnt even fully help the other guests as they were looking around as well. You dont have to be a hair stylist to know..that coconut is a natural hair conditioner..which I know and the girl that tried to help me had no clue..and said she doesnt know. I ended up looking around and finding a product myself without any help. Ive worked in retail and high end for years and this customer service was just poor. As well as it being dirty and way to expensive. I can get the same NYC eye liner at CVS instead of spending a ton of money here from a place where no one helps you just asks what you need but have no idea what theyre talking about or they walk past you. Would I shop here again? No, maybe if the customer service was better I would spend 50 dollars on a hair mask. But if its 50 dollars and no one is there to try to help me with my hair type, makeup etc Im not going to buy it. Customer service and friendly service goes along way especially with expensive products.
I came into Ulta looking for a perfume for my girlfriend. Naturally I wanted to look at the selection and smell the different fragrances. Im a Male and I just got off of work with my uniform still on. The security guard was up my as$ like if I was going to steal something. Literally, the 15 minutes I was there i had him 3 steps away from me. Didnt matter if I shifted to the opposite side where there was more perfumes. He was there standing and staring at me. I felt completely violated and profiled. I spoke with an employee about the situation and how this was completely ridiculous. I told her that I was going to purchase a perfume but after this Id be taking my business elsewhere. If you want to feel harrassed and profiled come to this ulta. I hope management sees this, bc this is complete bs.

Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 weeks age I purchased Clarins Product from Ulta in District, cashier said me on the 26 of January at 7 I will have a facial appointment by Clarins in Ulta. Today I called at 1:15 for confirm my appointment, someone said ok we will see you at 7:00 pm. I went there exactly at 7:00pm but after 10 minutes manager came and said sorry Elizabeth left, what????!!!!!! can u imagine that??????
I came in several months ago to get my eyebrows done. I told the girl how others keep taking too much off of my brows and told her stories about previous times. I had confidence in this girl at first because Ulta eyebrow specialists are trained through Benefit and I had just seen the previous girl she worked on and liked the shape and fullness she gave that girl. But when it came to me, I dont know if I annoyed her with my story telling or what but even after mapping out my brows, she went way inside the lines that she drew and took off a lot. The one side she did was half the size of my other brow which still had the pencil mapping on it. I complained to her about this and all she said, unapologetically, was that I could pencil them back in. What the absolute hell. I had full brows that I had been growing out for at least four months prior to that visit that all they needed was to be shaped...and here she is casually saying to just pencil them back in after the work she did....catty, passive aggressive eyebrow waxing associates working at both Tustin and Irvine locations.
I havent personaly visited this store but a week ago someone stole my ulta credit card info and spent over 500$ here, i guess they dont check ids when customers use the credit cards which most companys do.
My wife visited this Ulta on Sunday Dec. 9th and this is the 6th day in a row that she mentioned her experience there. My wife is a super sweet & kind woman who treats people well and usually shrugs it off when someone is rude to her. I rarely hear her complain and when she complains about something 3 times...there was definitely a problem. Like I said...this is the 6th day in a row.Ulta #208 in Tustin...you have a HUGE PROBLEM with your employees not wanting to be there and not caring. This was the 3rd and final time she will ever go to this Ulta. If that employee was any ruder...I would have visited your store... Nobody greeted me, said hello, or offered to help me. It appears this store is understaffed, as Ulta stores often are. They ran out of the products on sale at the store and online, which often seems to be the case- shop early!
Would love to give this 0 stars, but cant. Want to talk about unreliable on your most important day? Leave it to Veronica to not show up not once, not twice but three cancelled appointments. And she didnt cancel until after my fiancé was on site waiting for her. Luckily, my fiancé only needed her hair done for her wedding, so no big deal, right? Most incompetent staff with very little skill to begin with. Someone did my fiances hair from there a couple of weeks ago for her bridal shower and that girl messed her hair up. So yea, if you ladies like your hair destroyed on your most important day or just like being stood up, I recommend Ulta at the district. Incompetence and zero skill never came at a higher price

Very large selection of cosmetics, of course, is only for women. On Blackfriday and Christmas a lot is reduced and you can make really good bargains. Especially recommendable are the bundles.
