I was first very impressed by the service manager courteous interaction with me when I stopped by to inquire about my engine repair options.Then, as agreed, I dropped my vehicle off for the agreed service close to 9:00 AM, and was overwhelmed to get a call noon time the same day that it was ready.It was not magic in my book, it was honest work worthy of the cost, worthy to recommend and rate five stars.Thank you folks. Great experience! After going to to two other car shops and paying without the problem being fixed, I was glad to have been told about Engine Express! They fixed it within a timely manner and charged me appropriately.

I called ahead, dropped a vehicle off for service, and ended up picking it up the next day before it even made it in the garage. They didnt like it because Id come in the property the night before to make sure my vehicle was still there. I have had too many garages and service facilities joyride my vehicles in the past. If I want to come check on it, thats my right. I did nothing wrong. Some guy called me at work at 8:10 the next morning to chew me up one side and down the other for coming on the property. I did not violate any trespassing signs or barriers. My wife and I are both in highly visible positions in Tyler, and we will tell everyone we know, and they will tell everyone they know, and...

I had quite a bit of motor work done here. It wasnt the best timing because the parts were difficult to get. However, the mechanic called me several times about the situation of the vehicle and the parts, then corrected everything quickly. The service here is one of the best that I have experienced. They even reached out to me weeks after I picked up my vehicle to check in. Great customer service. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

They had to replace my whole motor due to a gasket issue. The whole thing took about 3 weeks as expected for what the issue was. Worked with the warranty company and had my car fixed in no time, got a motor with 40k less miles on it at that!. It drives like a dream, thank yall

Couldnt be happier with these folks!I was out of town and broke down in Tyler. I managed to get my ford e350 van to them based on their excellent reviews, and I quickly understood why they are so highly rated.What was wrong with my truck was pretty serious, but Gerry knew what needed to be done and assured me they could do it. They were pretty backed up but they said they could get it done in two days.As it turned out they had a cancelation and were able to get my truck done the next day and get me back on my way. Having owned a repair shop myself for 25 years, I knew what they had to do, and I appreciate their professionalism and fair treatment of me in my compromised position. Some would have taken advantage of someone stranded 1600 miles from home, but they did not. They did the work professionally, quickly, and charged only what it was worth. I can hardily endorse them and hope anyone in the Tyler area will make them their shop.

Worth the WAIT.. our 2014 honda pilot clunking and tapping noise already got out of hand. We went to our Mechanic and checked it and told us that I need to replace the engine which will end up costing us $5k-$7k. I decided to take it to other shop in tyler and they are not sure if its the engine or Water pump.. I was told about Engine express and saw reviews have great they are. After 3 days of wait due to lots of customers ahead of us. Now our car feels like new. Thank God 1st and 2nd thank Engine Express..

I had been told by another Mechanic shop that my 2002 Chevy 2500HD 6.0 needed the engine pulled and resealed. Jeremy and Robert are honest people they told me 1. my engine did not need to be pulled 2. fixed all my leaks. 3. for a fraction of what the other mechanic shop quoted! In the future when my vehicles need repair they will be going to Engines Express!

I was new in town, and asked a family member to recommend a mechanic they trusted. I was pointed to Engines Express, and I have used this facility 4 times across the last 4 years, both for large and small jobs on our Honda Civic and Chevy Silverado. Every repair has been reasonably priced and done correctly. Even at times where I could not diagnose the problem, they fix the problem without up charging or trying to fix too much. They have helped me keep my vehicles safely running without gorging me for money. I do trust them and will continue their services and recommend them to others!

My 20 year old son took his truck to this business to have an oil leak repaired. It was not done correctly and when he got his truck back there was a noise in the engine that wasn’t there prior. My son took the truck back and they let it sit for 2 weeks before we had it moved to a reputable repair facility. Do not take your vehicle to this business!

Came in on a busy Friday, they diagnosed the issue and fixed it same day! I stayed in the waiting are while they worked on my vehicle and when their team had lunch, they so graciously offered me some of their pizza. Been to a half dozen different mechanic shops in VA and TX in the last few years and this is hands down the best customer experience Ive ever had. Furthermore the shop is spotless clean. Ill never take my car anywhere else.

Just moved to Tyler and had some brake issues. Someone recommended Engines Express and they did a quick excellent job. Even fixed some minor things without charging me. Sent pictures and called me before doing any repairs that werent quoted. Called me 5 minutes before closing and offered to have me pay over the phone so that I could get the car that same day. Definitely went above and beyond in service. They have a customer for life.Update 2-2019: Ive been using them for several years now and they have always offered excellent service. I once received a quote from them that was half of another shop. I mentioned this to them and they said that the book price for a repair was $600 but because they had done it enough they knew how to perform the repair without having to take as long. Great place! Definitely the best repair shop Ive ever been to!

Took my car here sometime in mid 2017 for service. Been driving on engine light for months while doing a job in Tyler. Within minutes I was told nothing was diagnosed, however, they cleaned the trottle of my 4 cylinder highlander for a mere change. Now in GA I cant find a comparable service. Their light green key holder still hold my car key, a constant reminder of a decent business that no one need to worry of any rip off service like many car repair businesses. I forgot the name of the great guy who attended to me. All I can say is thank you to this team.

I knew my mother had her car serviced at Engines Express. After she passed away, I picked up her car to drive back to Hideaway. The brakes felt soft to me so I stopped at Engines Express. Claude drove it around the neighborhood and assured me it was safe. No charge. When I went to Tire Max to have my tires rotated, I asked them to attach a plate that had come loose under the car when they had it up on the lift and they refused. They only did tires. So I brought it to Engines Expressed. Gladly they did it. Again no charge! To my absolute surprise I was told to just bring my car back for future service. Advertised a shuttle car on their website, when I called in they said they had a shuttle car. When I get there they refuse to take me anywhere and leave me stranded! Had them pull my vehicle off the rack and left, it needed way more than a days work so no way I could just wait, will never go there again.

Just had an awesome experience here! After searching for a place in town that does oil changes on minis, I was recommended here. They were able to get me in the next day for that and a tire patch and both were extremely affordable. They gave me great advice on different things having to do with my car (maintenance, etc) and as someone in the customer service industry, I respect how helpful and honest they were to me. They definitely have a customer for life and I will be referring them to everyone I know!

Had a problem with my Corolla that wasnt a big deal...but happened repeatedly. They noticed the pattern on their records - that it happened seasonally with cold weather. After asking if they could verify their suspicion by keeping the car overnight and testing it first thing in the morning, they found a permanent fix that was, actually, better than I was looking for...and will save me money in the future. So, this last experience was quite good. Id easily recommend them to others.

The only time I did compared prices, it confirmed to me that their prices are fair and even cheaper in some cases. Even if I do pay slightly more for anything, it is worth every penny for the peace of mind I have taking my car to such a friendly, professional place. They really are great people. We do not live in Tyler but the folks at Engines Express took care of our sons vehicle when it broke down and were courteous to deal with and took the time to explain everything to us over the phone. When we had a problem with the alternator later they returned it and got us a partial refund. Staff members were professional, and particular thanks to Enrique who followed the refund process and kept us informed. Awesome customer service!!

I went in there for obvious reasons. Not really feeling good that day for, again, obvious reasons. But! I was quickly brightened up, as a young man known there as the nephew that pops his head in every now and then completely empathized my despair of the day, and showed genuine interest in my well being as a person, all in the while I received 5 star service. The owner helped me find affordable, quality parts online, along with speedy mechanic labor. Great experience! Also, they should pay that nephew to pop his head in more often.

Once being quoted an egregious dollar amount, I called Engines Express on a whim in hopes to find a more reasonable price. They quoted me half of the dealerships estimate which was enough to win over my business. On top of that, once the job was completed, they were able to determine less work was necessary which again reduced my total expenditures. While on Vacation from Green Bay, WI to Hideaway, Texas with friends that just moved there, our vans emergency brakes locked up on Christmas Day. On Dec 26 at about 8AM we located Engines Express via Google Places on my cell, and via AAAs approved repair facility listing. Called, and they could get us in right away. By 10 am the van was towed there. Was told it may be an overnight job due to parts needed. By 4pm that afternoon they called, had located parts, and the van was ready to go! AWESOME! A later check with our local mechanic verified the price was amicable and fair, and the job was done right! (not bad for a bunch of southerners who only have to deal with salt on the table and not on the road!). The shop itself is attractive from the outside, and clean and organized on the inside. Can see into the repair area from the front office and it looked very clean and well organized as well. Mechanics all looked, dressed and acted very professional. Their extremely friendly and personable service put us at ease with dealing with people 1100 miles from home and that didnt know us from Adam! Highly recommended by us if you are in the Tyler area and need mechanical assistance! (The only thing keeping these guys from a 5 star would have been a killer price beating out my local guy)!
