I wasnt sure how to rate this place because I had very mixed results. Getting a Brazilian by shamecka was wonderful! She made the expirience pretty painless, she was very quick, and she was thurough. She also went in with tweezers and wasnt too talkative (which I personally prefer). That was my second wax. My first wax however made me really upseat. I firstly had scheduled an appointment over the phone and when I arrived, I was told my name wasnt anywhere on file. I was sent in with a water that happened to have a slot and she said the hair was too short (it definitely wasnt. I am certain but whatever ig) and I was re-scheduled for 2 weeks later. I went in, got a painful wax, and came home to 3 spots that were completely missed. I dont know how she managed to do this but im glad I use hard wax at home so I could fix it but it was extremely disappointing and I had many broken hairs. Seriously, how do you leave 2 whole strips of hair untouched?!?! The front staff was also mixed since the first time I went, I was spoken very rudely to and the second time, the front desk staff were super helpful and kind. Overall, im glad I gave this place a second chance with a different waxer, but the first time was a ripoff and horrible expirience.

Its a different experience everytime I go. I didnt get the after wax serum application this time, but the technician did two other things I never had done. I love that they use strapless wax because its less painful than other waxes. They gave me a call when it was my turn so it gave me time to shop.

Took my boyfriend in. Unfortunately missed many hairs. Nice staff and very clean.

This place is amazing! I’ve been to other European wax centers and they were good as well, but the staff at the Vernon Hills location is absolutely phenomenal! Caitlin is a gem; she always makes me feel at ease while consistently providing the best wax experience imaginable. The receptionists are always on point as well, especially Kirsten; she is the such a sweet and professional woman. They are the absolute best!

Such a great and welcoming place to come in to! Valeria is very helpful and personable. If you are looking for a girl that waxes precisely, always on time & is super sweet, I 100% recommend her.

I went there for the first time, for my first Brazilian wax. I will say the establishment was very clean and they made me feel welcomed! The woman who took care of me made me feel real comfortable and relaxed! It didn’t hurt, she made sure to take her time! The only problem is that she missed patches of hair! That’s not sexy. They do give half off to first time clients, but the job just wasn’t complete!

Absolutely loved this place!! Hanna was welcoming, knowledgeable and professional! I was pleasantly surprised that they give first time customers half off! Totally worth going back for full price! You get what you pay for which is kind people who know what they’re doing and clean facilities! I have no complaints!!!! My experience was with Hanna, I’d request her! And I got my very first Brazilian! Don’t know about the other wax services but 5 out of 5 for Hanna with a Brazilian!

I initially was very hesitant to get waxed anywhere. As I use to only use a friends health spa she owned until I moved. I finally decided to give this place a go. I was very satisfied!! I was worried with past reviews of the eyebrows. However she was very clear with finding out what I wanted and how! Now for the Brazilian... she was amazingly helpful in making me comfortable and it was by far a great experience as far as that can be 😂 Caitlyn did an amazing job!!

I heard how management and the boss “Lisa” really care for the employees here and it’s so sad to hear. If you can support a local self employed Esthetician do it instead of this corporation.

Went for the first time and Hanna is awesome! I totally felt comfortable going in for a wax and definitely will be back again. Place was clean and customer service was great!

The water was great, this has always been my go to place. But today the front desk staff disappointed. I called at 9 am to get a 1 pm appointment. It was confirmed and upon arriving I waited outside due to covid circumstances, I waited and hour literally right outside the door and also checked in. An hour later I asked what was going on and they had no idea and had not even taken down my apt earlier. You would think to ask if I was there. I showed her my confirmation check in and she said “idk what that is” .. okay. Just very unprofessional today. Waxer was great though!

Id been happy with another location of European Wax Center in the past, so I thought Id be safe trusting in this one. Wrong. Kristen waxed off the end half of one of my brows and then tried to cover it up by saying “Those were the stragglers I was talking about, we must have had a misunderstanding. No, Ive had my brows waxed many times, my brow doesnt normally get half waxed off like that, and nobody mistakes those hairs for stragglers. She offered to draw it in a bit with pencil, not that that helped very much and certainly wont help with the next few weeks of waiting for the hair to grow back. Honestly, theres nothing that European Wax could do to compensate for a misunderstanding like this. European Wax just lost my business permanently.

I used to just pluck my eyebrows, but with waxing them with Kirsten it saves me time and has great results will be returning!

Kirsten is so good at making me feel at ease, no judgements and makes waxing comfortable and fun!

Got my first wax at the Vernon hills location. I told the waxer multiple times the wax was too hot and it was hurting my skin she just told me it was because she had gone over it so many times and continued to go over it two more times. She also missed patches of hair. Would definitely not recommend.

I recommend getting everything done except your eyebrows. Hate hate hate how my eyebrows were left after a full face wax. Other than that everything was good and the lady was super nice.

First wax was in glenview, now that this location is open I’ve been going to Janise. First day I told her how nervous I was use to shaving. She made the whole process comfortable, it’s like I’m hanging out with a friend. I highly recommend Janise!
