I went in when they opened, greeted the dry resting face older woman at the front, told her my issue and she pointed to the younger lady. The younger lady came to my car, checked the tire, said the were short staffed and to call before I come for a plug. I went down the street to Vulcan Tires, greeted by a enthusiastic team and was helped. I still had t little wait but I rather wait for friendly customer service than wait on people that act like Im not a customer and dont want my money.
We stopped here for gas. They were cheaper than the surrounding stations. I didnt go inside as there was nothing for sale. We didnt need any repairs, but Id be sure to get a firm price in advance in light of all the negative reviews.
I highly recommend that you dont use this shop. I had to get my car towed across the street. When I went to pick it up they charged me over $200 for a 100 yard tow. I couldnt believe it but was told theyd keep my car if I didnt pay the full amount. So I pay the bill and go outside to get my car. There was dirt in the seat, dirt in the floor board, dirt and grease on the steering wheel and the door panel.I got out of the car and went inside to see what the hell happened. The girl came outside and looked at my car and said we did not do that. I stood there five minutes respectfully disagreeing with her and trying to help her understand what terrible customer service they had.One of the managers came outside to help and told me the same thing, that there was no way they could have done that. I had just cleaned my car earlier in the week, there wasnt a spot on/in it before they touched it.Its so disappointing when you come across bad customer service like this. They simply take advantage of you. And they do not care if it bothers you.
This happened March 27; 2019.These are the worst people in the world. I exited on Montgomery and realized that I had a flat tire. I made it across the highway and asked for help. They advised that the tire could not be repaired so,I was gonna buy a tire. They didn’t have a Michelin like the other tires. I remembered that I had roadside hazard from Sams so I asked if they could put my donut on. They charged $40.00. I questioned the amount and was advised if they could have repaired the tire it would have been the same amount. It took all of 7 minutes. I went to Sams, got a new tire with balancing and everything for $90. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!! I only wished I had looked up the road to one other shop. THEY ARE A RIPOFF. ONE STAR IS REALLY TOO GOOD FOR THEM!!
Beware,I had a flat on 9/19/2017 one guy said it would be 50.00 to 60.00 dollars to fix it I said ok fix it one guy standing up by the front door leaning against the wall said cant fix it tire is bad(how did he even know for he did not even come look at it) I took the tire off rolled it across 4 lane hwy 31 to pep boys they fixed it I asked the man how much he said no cost..As of 9-22-2017 I have reported them to the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce
Tire went flat on interstate. They were able to get us a new one for reasonably priced and FAST!
I agree with the other negative posts. I would steer clear of these guys, if it has anything to do with tires. I had a large truck tire that needed to be mounted to a rim. They looked at it and said that they could do it, no problem. After 3 attempts, they gave up, and told me they couldnt do it, ... but I still owed them $20 to cover their time for trying. They wouldnt even help me load the tire back into my truck. I took it to Omega Tire in Homewood, and they mounted the tire on the rim first try. Took them 30 seconds. No charge.
Beware of this place. I drive a BMW and was quoted $800 for a repair that ultimately cost me less than $200. In fact, my local BMW dealership quoted $375 for the same repair if I brought it to them.My car started running rough while I was near Sunoco. I paid $79 for a computer diagnosis of the problem after the Manager, Roger, assured me they had the correct equipment to read the issue. After giving them an hour to do the diagnosis, I was given the $800 quote. I asked for the readout from their computer and was told they couldnt supply it. I asked to see the readout on the computer. Again, I was told that I couldnt see that. I paid for a diagnosis didnt I? So what was the $79 for?I decided to get a second opinion.Once a skilled mechanic used a simple code reader to diagnose my car, he found the problem to be a misfire on one single cylinder. A very minor issue to repair and there are typically just a couple possible causes. None of which are $800 to repair. Look, I get it, cars break sometimes. There is cost involved and I will pay a fair and reasonable amount to insure my car is repaired properly. In this case, the shop tried to grossly take advantage of the situation. They attempted this with an ease and comfort that assures me that this is how they choose to do business. My family has come to this place for years and years and always trusted them. I had a flat tire a few years ago. This was an Amoco back then. They put a used tire on for less than $20 to help me get home. I tipped the mechanic enough to get himself some lunch for his trouble that day. I hate to report that things have changed.Shame on you Roger.
Beware Stay AwayMy son had a flat tire on his car so we carried the rim from the car and an extra tire that we had to this location. They told me that it was going to cost $48.00 to swap the tires on the rim. They had 0 cars in their bays. Now I know why. I called pep boys that were located across the street and had it done there for $20
Always friendly and helpful. I have my car maintained here and have for years.
This is a great family business that has been around for 40 years. They do not sell kerosene though
The woman who answers the phone is extremely rude and clearly didnt want my business.
