My husband and I have purchased vehicles from Beach Ford in the past, so when my 21 year old son put a deposit on a Ford Bronco through Ford and was asked to pick a dealer we naturally said Beach Ford. My son did not have the chance to pick his own Sales Person for his first new car purchase, but boy did he luck out! J Slack has been the absolute BEST!!! He has kept our son up to date on all aspects of his purchase, projected build date, actual build date, shipping, delivery, dealer prep, and pick up. J has gone above and beyond in every aspect. He was there through all the options, extended warranties, and financing, even showed him the app to download to hook is car up to his phone and how to work it.Unfortunately there was an issue with the Bronco that was a result of something not done correctly at the manufacturer. However, once again J nailed it!! He and Beach Ford’s management stepped up and owned it! Not once did they make any excuses. They apologized, and told us how they would fix it. Parts are delayed at the manufacturer, but J and management have been in constant contact giving Chad updates.We could not have asked for a better Purchasing Experience!! I want to say a huge thank you to Lucas from the service department. I bought my car from another dealership and the engine blew after two months of owning the car. Lucas was patient with my warranty company as they didn’t want to pay for the engine. I felt like Lucas truly cared and fought for what was right.When the time came to pick up the car, the car wouldn’t start, but Lucas was quick to solve the problem and put a new battery in the car.I’ve worked in the customer service industry for five years and I’ve never seen someone go above and beyond to help out. He personally filled my car with gas and drove it to get it clean. He was delightful to work with throughout the process. I will recommend everyone to Beach Ford.

Sold me a truck, and then when the motor went out after a month and a half, told me if I had it towed to them they would fix it. After 2 weeks, called me and said I had to take it to another dealer. Payed for that out of pocket, after paying them to run a diagnostic and they do nothing with it. Now I’m paying for 6000 in repairs, (out of pocket). This place is ran by crooks. Would not recommend to anybody.

Ashley was quick to take care of my car concerns - oil change was notice was alerting me even though it had been completed recently and low tire pressure was alerting. Even though I supposedly have nitrogen in my tires, the sensor always illuminates when there is a temp change like fall weather. I have had to take my vehicle in too many times for this problem, but appreciate Ashleys quick assistance to resolve it! Thanks Ashley.....

Emily Scott is absolutely amazing! This was the most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. Emily went out of her way to make my daughter and I comfortable while we waited for the paperwork, bringing us drinks and snacks. Emily took what began as a stressful day with a rejection sticker as a single Mom on one income and turned it into a stress free ride home in our new vehicle. I am confident I got the absolute best deal I could with all the applicable rebates and incentives and an amazing finance rate that I did not think was possible. Emily took the time to make sure I was comfortable with the car buying process and took the time to thoroughly explain any questions that I had. All of the staff that assisted us were extremely kind. The woman who helped us with our paperwork(sorry I forget her name) even helped my daughter make an origami butterfly before we left her office. On a recent trip to Virginia Beach, my vehicle broke down and was towed to Beach Ford. While the repairs were satisfactory, the service was abysmal, particularly from Assistant Service Manager Becky Slater. Although I was given her card when I dropped off my vehicle, she showed no interest in assisting me. An already stressful situation, arranging repairs long-distance, was made worse by Ms. Slater’s negligence and rudeness. She even refused to perform the simplest of curiosities, returning a phone call or providing a receipt, until I complained to her manager. While Ms. Slater claims to have worked at Beach Ford since 1995, it is clear she has lost her passion and drive, and her attitude suggests she is simply running out the clock until she can leave. For the sake of the other employees of Beach Ford, I hope that day is sooner than later.

I bought a ford focus, the car has a transmission problem but nobody of course tells u the common problem with them. Another thing is sometimes the car doesnt start for some reason. I have been stuck in a retail parking lot twice that the car doesnt start. Took it twice to beachford and they said no problem with it and took my car but still have the problem with. Time to sell it and no more Fords

Jay Slack made me not hate car buying, our last two experiences have been absolutely miserable. Jay went above and beyond and kept us in the loop every step of the way. He got us the best deal possible with absolutely no pressure. Even once the car buying process ended, he still goes above and beyond to help us and answer any questions we have. Completely disappointed in Beach Ford. They dropped the ball with my trade in for a new truck. I requested to keep my personalized tags and they transferred them to my new truck and gave me a temporary registration(which has my personalized plate stated on temporary registration) only to get a call now which it’s been over a month stating that the tags weren’t registered with DMV. How does that happen? Someone at Beach Ford let my tags go and they messed up!! Someone isn’t telling the truth!!! I’ve now lost my personalized tags that I’ve had for over 10 years on my previous truck. For some that’s not a big deal but they were in remembrance of my mom who I lost to cancer!! Why is it now, over a month, (almost two months ) that they are calling me and telling me. I make sure to tell everyone I know to not deal with them because they don’t know what they are doing and who had done what with this or that. Will never do business with them again.

Went to test drive truck. It wasnt inspected yet. So, told to go have lunch and it would be inspected to test drive when we return. We returned about an hour later to be told another sales person went and took it from the maintenance area and sold it. In addition, even after then looking at another truck, the sales managers loved to haggle back and forth on their far less than trade book value. We certainly learned our lesson today and will never return. By the way, if you want a good trade value, go to Hall Toyota where we ended up and got $6k more for our trade than Beach Ford offered.

I just bought my 2021 Ranger from Beach Ford. Beach Ford has the absolute worst service department! Service takes forever(weeks)if you can even get an appointment and they are even less accommodating! They dont return calls promptly either. Do not expect any sort of urgency or for them to even remotely think you are a valuable customer of theirs. My car is leaking water (only 1 year old) and casually they said, the only appointment we have is 2 weeks away. Or you am bring it it and who knows when we will get to it. If I could give them less than one star I would. I will never bring my there for service, I would rather pay extra elsewhere.

(Experienced car Buyer): Outstanding Customer service and constantly rotating stock of new and used vehicles! Ask for Darryl Padgett! He was extremely helpful.! He went above and beyond my expectations when dealing with car dealerships. From greeting, to explaining the entire process, assisting with test drives and all car buying questions, and just being knowledgeable on the vehicles they own and sell, and until final handshake on the way out the door. This is a trait that many car sailsman dont have these days. He made the entire experience a pleasurebale one instead of daunting task. They were willing to work with me on pricing of both new car and trade even on an already highly marked down vehicle. The Beach Ford facility is extremely clean and well kept with a large waiting area cafeteria style lounge and a quiet play room for children in view of the contract offices. Blane in the finance department was also extremely helpful, courteous, and was able to get me out of there in less than 40 minutes! With thier high tech docusign digital contract desks, the paperwork side of the deal was a breeze becuase it was mostly done on a large easy to read tablet table desk with stilus! Highly recommended Beach ford to anyone looking the area, and ask for Darryl!

The service level of this company is atrocious... make an appointment for service, explain that you want a first AM, because you actually have a company service van there, only to be told that your appointment means they will LOOK at it in 2-3 hours.... 6 hours later, you have to call to find out the van is ready for pick up.

I would of given 0 Stars, however not real sure if it would allow. I took my 3 month old fully warranty F-150 in last week due to a Check Engine light. It was diagnosed that same day, needing a fuel emissions sensor/valve. They didn’t have the part, no problem so scheduled an appointment the following week. After waiting for 3 hours the service tech told me I owed $120.00. I told her last week the other service person told me there would be no charge since I had a warranty. She proceeded to tell me that they didn’t replace a thing today as well because nothing is wrong with my truck. The $120 charge was for a Diagnostic Fee. A complete waste of time. But most alarming is my truck was diagnosed with a problem last week and not this week... makes me very skeptical and customers should be concerned about what the Beach Ford techs are diagnosing. Very Disappointed!

I brought my car for just a state inspection. After 1.5hrs my car was not yet ready. I understand it, so I Keep on waiting patiently. No messages and no one approached me. But after 2hrs and 45mins of waiting I went to the front desk and asked. They still don’t have any idea of my car. The girl in charge was in break. After 3hrs and 15mins, she’s still not coming and they don’t know when she’s gonna come back. Thanks for the front desk girls for their big help. My car was ready already for a long time. They just don’t know about it. Endorsement is very important in any works before break time.

I must say this is the best experience at a dealership I’ve ever had. I’m visiting from Maryland and had car issues. I called two other dealerships and they would not work me in and I scheduled an appointment with Beach Ford online and from the moment I arrived at the service desk everything just went like clockwork. They had to keep my car but a shuttle was brought over to take me to get a rental rental car so I could get back home to pick up the grandkids. I’ve left some critical reviews with Beach Ford after buying a used truck. They buying process was easy and everyone we talked to were good and respectful folks. I love the truck and I am happy with it however there have been a few issues just days after buying. The reason I bought a used truck from a reputable business is because I had comfort in them owning up to their “over-looks”. Just days after getting the truck heating seats went out, heat quit working on driver side and back of the truck, seat belt wouldn’t lock into passenger side, headlights started going out, then the check engine light came on.A lot of places would have told me to take a hike but like I said I bought from a reputable dealership having some trust they’d help out in situations like this. They have... maybe not 100% to my liking of the results but they have helped. Heated pads replaced, blend door actuator replaced (didn’t fix heating issues), seat belt replaced, and then catalytic converter (check engine light) replaced (however check engine light came back on with issues pertaining to catalytic converter which is being looked at).Update: Heating has been fixed. I believe Beach Ford has the best intentions when it comes to selling vehicles off their lot. I could say confidently put your trust in Beach Ford.Biggest issues I am having is the heat... middle of winter and going without heat isn’t fun. Maybe after 30 minutes of driving I get heat but that’s not a fun 30 minutes. Heater Core probably needs replaced or flushed. I just want this fixed. No one should be sold a vehicle that has heat or AC problems.

I purchased my vehicle from them about a year ago. Ive had to take it in to them for service a few times since then. The first two times, the service staff member that assisted me, was not all that friendly and made me feel like I was disrupting her good day or something. Ultimately, was charged for services that were included in my warranty, so again, I had to call and they sent me a check for the difference. But the last time I went, the service staff member was really awesome! She helped me get what I needed done with my vehicle and set me up with a rental as soon as she knew they would have it for a couple days. Not like the first time, when I had to ask multiple times and speak to management to get one. I was super happy this time around, made me glad I took it there. 😁😁😁

Thought I was getting ripped off but after looking further around, it seems that Beach Ford managed to give the best price for a used lifted Tacoma I just discovered on the lot, which I originally didnt go down there for. Mykell and Chris went over and beyond to help me get a good deal for the truck even with the negative equity I had on my Renegade. Im glad to have stopped by their lot and glad I worked with them in getting this truck. If youre looking to buy a good priced vehicle whether its a Ford or any used vehicles, stop by Beach Ford! I called today because I had an issue getting my WiFi working in my explorer. We had this number because we are interested in a truck, but I had a question about my Ford Explorer. I purchased this car elsewhere! Jay Slack walked me through the entire process and helped me get it set up. On 4/2/21, I had an appointment to have 4 new tires mounted, balanced, and 4 wheel alignment on my 2014 Ford F150 Larriet. I had the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership service center. The service department was slow, didnt follow COVID protocols, and the service manager was as rude as could be. I spoke with a sales manager, who promised to refund the cost of my oil change. It has been months now... no refund and havent gotten a return call to my voice-mail. I will absolutely not use this dealership for service again.

Im the original owner. I bought my 2000 F-150 from Beach Ford. It currently has 255,000 miles on it. I have maintained my F-150 religiously based on the schedule and Beach Ford recommendations. In these last 21 years, I have never gone anywhere else for my maintenance and inspections. I trust Beach Ford Service Dept. Best vehicle I have ever owned.

From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt like I was the most important customer. I was greeted with a smile, very promptly directed to an associate and within ten minutes my vehicle was being cares for by a trained Ford technician. After being helped, the dealership scheduled me a Lyft back to my job so that I didnt have to take more time off than necessary. This will be my ho to dealership from now on! Thanks.

Took my 2004 F150 Heritage in for new shocks and struts, told the service writer that the engine was surging when the climate control was on. The Mechanic who tested it couldnt replicate, so they gave it back without doing anything, saying there was no surging. I almost ran into a car as I was trying to park and the non-existent surging caused my engine to accelerate 200-300 RPMs and (not) surge forward...

If I could give zero stars I would! Worst experience of my 20+ years of owning a car and getting service on it today! Was hung up on twice by the service department (told that it is their practice to hang up on people when they get stern with them!!!) discriminated against since I am a woman by Gary, screamed at by Shay in the service department as I checked out and laughed and pointed at by the receptionists I will never go there again! I was promised my car would be done before noon and more than what I requested was done on it and the car was done after 1330. Awful and sickening beach Ford!!!

Fantastic dealership. My car was totaled and I was in need of a new truck ASAP. I showed up to the dealership and was NOT immediately bombarded by salesmen. I was able to take some time to myself to look at vehicles before someone reached out. If you’re not working with Teddy Diaz, you’re wrong. The man was professional, personable, and classy. He didn’t try and just take your money or rush your purchase. Fantastic salesman. I would recommend Beach Ford and Teddy Diaz to EVERYONE. Truck inventory is great.

The wait time here has greatly increased over the three years Ive been dealing with Beach Ford. Overall, a good experience, however some of your service advisors need customer service training. Mallory was quick and efficient with paperwork. Do wish Tom Best was still a service advisor...the one person I knew I could trust with my car. Also, the online service scheduling is slightly confusing, and wound up scheduling me for services I did not need or request.

Terrible customer service from the sales manager on 01 May 2021 at 3pm. Very rude, he walked up to my son and i and through a file at me and said no deal or something to that extent, while we were on the phone to NFCU arranging financing to by one of their vehicles. Ive bought from them in the past and get my truck serviced there regularly, Ive never been treated so badly. Ill never use Beach Ford again and will never refer business to them. You are wise to avoid Beach Ford IMHO.

(Update) Thank you for the reply from Beach Ford. I wish that things had been explained to me more. I understand being low staffed during covid.I dropped my car off Monday, but they couldnt do a diagnosis until Thursday and then told me the repair would be $1800 when other shops gave me a quote of $900 - $1100. Had to call several times just to pay the diagnosis fee, because my original rep was not in today and no one else seemed to know what was going on.

I spent over an hour waiting for the General Sales Manager, which normally would be an alarming and frustrating scenario, but was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff that continued to engage with me to ensure that I wasnt wanting for conversation. Especially the operator, Rachael Tayag, who was as charming and hospitable as anyone Ive ever met. I would gladly wait the whole day away if it was spent in the company of just such a person. Wow! Amazing customer service and care. Sara in the service department is top notch! I was leaving on a 3,000 mile road trip and my seat belt stopped latching. I explained I was leaving in 1 day to drive with my entire family across the country. She worked with her manager to fit me in bright and early the next morning. They had me in and out within an hour! Car vacuumed thoroughly too! Everyone was superb! Thank you Sara and everyone at Beach Ford for making sure my family makes it safely to our new home!

The service department seemed to be too busy for my scheduled concerns. No effort put forth to remedy my problem, which STILL is a noise heard in the rear when starting off from a stop. Three hours for a scheduled oil change service and no remedy or effort to fix the problem I described, except that the service advisor said, sorry about that. Regular maintenance service was scheduled on 2/22/21 to be completed on 3/4/21. Arrived at 0745 as scheduled and left at 10:55 with only the oil change and the same problem I arrived with. No offer of keeping the truck to further diagnose and repair the issue, of which Im still within the warranty period. I expected a lot more for buying a brand new custom truck from a dealership.

I recently retired and purchased a new fifth wheel RV that the wife and I would use to travel around the country. We had a 2010 F350 that worked fantastic but didnt have the capacity to tow the fully loaded RV safely. After months of research, we settled on a 2021 F450. Once we decided what vehicle we wanted, there was no question where we would order it from, Beach Ford. The team at Beach Ford, lead by our Sales Rep, David Swoope, are the finest in the business. Full transparency into all details of ordering and financing, no pressure or sales tactics. This is my third vehicle bought from David at Beach Ford and I will continue to return for service on all my vehicles. If you are conditioned to believe that dealer maintenance and service is overpriced and a lot of extras are pushed that you dont need, I really suggest you check out Beach Fords Service Dept as well. Beach Ford has restored my faith in a business that truly cares and takes care of their customers.

Great place to drop off your car for warranty work or if you own a lease that is just a car they are efficient and friendly... But I equated the same way to dropping your kid off at daycare... As soon as you walk away from the building you have to just let go and youll pick it up later... The communication between the service writers and the endpoint mechanic working on your car is a game of telephone and its nobodys fault except for the corporate mentality of having a team of multiple people that have to talk to each other to eventually rely a message... Its very busy there you cant expect those service writers to leave their desk let alone check on your car or give you an update in any reasonable amount of time guessing why they have such a huge lot filled with vehicles has to do with communication between mechanics and customers takes so long that a yes and a no a willingness to do a work or a quote probably takes a whole day to convey back and forth so the work doesnt get done until the next day at the very earliest... Like I said great place to drop off your car for some warranty work or if you just have a car... But if youre looking for answers in some form of timely fashion that wont end up being translated 3 times before it gets to you you should probably bring it to a small business shop in Virginia Beach that would be happy to have your business and communicate with you in a more personal fashion...

The absolute worst experience with a service department I have ever had!! Showed up a few minutes early for a morning appt, immediately realized that masks and social distancing aren’t a thing here anymore but I digress. I got checked in at the front desk and was told my service advisor Chris was with another customer and he would be right with me. She asked what I was in for, additional services, etc. I told her I would be staying at the dealership during service and would be in the cafe area, she took my phone number and assured me Chris would reach out. I waited almost 3 hours and heard nothing from anyone. At that point I decided to ask the front desk about the status of my vehicle. They tell me I was never checked in, Chris wasn’t around and had no idea that I was even in the building for the last 2 1/2 hours. The manager on duty, I believe his name was Lucas, heard my frustration and essentially offered a loaner vehicle to get me out of the building. I expressed my frustration to the other manager who helped me get the rental and told him I would like to speak to Lucas about my vehicle. I was told lucas was already gone, this was less than 5 minutes after I first spoke to him, and he assured me he would call me back. No call from Lucas or chris. I was texted by another associate who said she was helping out bc she had no idea where Chris was. She offered the solution and we agreed to the repair, she told me give it around 1 1/2 hours for the repair. I texted her over 2 hours later and the response was “talk to Chris, I was just helping out”. So I called the dealership and guess what the car was done and Chris was just getting ready to call me 🙄. I got to the dealership and Chris would not even speak to me, they let the front desk take my payment. I mean that is some of the worst customer service I have ever dealt with, the Service advisor wouldn’t even speak to me after dropping the ball multiple times today. I will never buy a vehicle here again simply bc of how bad the customer service is. They obviously don’t care about me as a customer and I will gladly spend more money elsewhere to get my oil changed and any service related issues. I will also go out of way my to tell all the young military service members that I interact with on a daily basis that there are better places to buy a Ford. They won’t let me leave a 0/5 but this is the last time I ever spend any money with beach Ford Barton Ford whether they sell Ford, Lincolns or Mercury’s!!!

Purchased my car from Beach Ford, good experience. We just moved to Norfolk, so I decided to book an appointment online for an oil change and asked that they vacuum the car.Appt was for 2:45pm and I arrived 10 min early.The service rep was friendly and advised that it would be a 1 - 2 hour wait and I asked him if he could make sure they vacuum the car. I asked about getting it washed but they are apparently in the process of building one. I walked down the street and did some shopping to waste time.At 4pm I received a text saying I need to approve and decline an additional item with the link to do so, which I did and then waited.Received a message that the car was ready at 4:45pm. It had just started raining so I called the service rep and asked if I could get a pick up to come get the car. He said sure and said Id get a text.Received text that the shuttle was booked via Lyft and 10 min later another text saying it was cancelled. Did this twice.Finally at 5:10pm after the second cancellation, the rain did stop and I was able to walk back to the dealership. My car was waiting when I arrived. Went inside and paid bill and left. Car had not been vacuumed.In the past when visiting Ford dealerships, I typically receive a survey from Ford immediately. This time, days later, I received an email asking me to leave a review online.The online booking was easy, the service rep was friendly. The length of wait was a bit long and no shuttle service are the areas I have issue with. In the future, I will probably go back to a dealership in Williamsburg.

My friend and I visited Beach Ford to look for a new truck. He wanted to trade-in his current one for a Raptor and I was interested in looking to get one soon down the road. Teddy at the sales department is the best Ive worked with when it comes to buying a car.. he was very passionate about what we were looking for and wanted to do whatever it took. Teddy made the process easy/quick and worked with us till the end even when things got a bit stressful. Definitely will be working with him soon.
